For the last week and a half, Obama has been in Hawaii 'celebrating Christmas' (??!!) with his family, playing golf with friends and eating shaved ice on family outings.

It might take a couple of years before taxpayers know the precise cost of this year’s Christmas vacation, but if it’s similar to previous years, such as 2013, it will cost more than $8 million.

While all private vacations are paid for in part out of the first family’s own money, taxpayers cover the bulk of the flight cost and all of the cost for Secret Service detail. The most recent data shows that the 2013 Christmas vacation by the Obama family in Hawaii cost taxpayers $8.09 million.

Almost two years after a records request, the Secret Service on Monday provided conservative government watchdog group Judicial Watch information showing the cost of security for the 17-day trip in December 2013 lasting into January 2014 cost $316,698.

In March 2014, the Department of Air Force released to Judicial Watch that the first family incurred $7.78 million. That’s was 36.9 hours at $210,877 per hour.

“The $317,000 in Secret Service expenses are only the tip of the iceberg for the true cost of Obama’s 2013 vacation in Hawaii, which has now skyrocketed to $8,098,060,” Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said in a statement. “It is nice to know that Obama’s ‘tradition’ of Christmas vacations in Hawaii comes courtesy of overburdened taxpayers.”

Judicial Watch filed the Freedom of Information Act request on Jan. 6, 2014, and received the documents on Dec. 28. The information was heavily redacted, but shows $91,751.78 in car rental expenses was paid while $224,974.05 in accommodation expenses was paid to Cabana Girl, LLC and Paradise Luxury Rentals.

“It seems our lawsuits finally got the attention of the Secret Service,” Fitton said. “It is easy to see why the Secret Service, reeling from its own scandals, covered up these outrageous expense numbers for just one of Obama’s luxury Christmas vacation.”

The known total expense to taxpayers thus far for all Obama travel is now $70.8 million, according to Judicial Watch.

White House rules for vacations, or unofficial travel such as political travel, requires reimbursing the government the equivalent to the cost of what a first class commercial flight would have been. 

Such a reimbursement would amount to only a fraction of the total cost of most presidential travel because it does not include the cost of Secret Service protection and while a commercial airline ticket is significantly less than the cost of operating a military passenger jet.

Amin Muhammad Gadit is a Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Memorial University of Newfoundland, Faculty of Medicine. October 2009, he writes a paper with the title “Terrorism and Mental Health: The issue of Psychological Fragility” published in Journal of Pakistan Medical Association. In the paper he talks about psychological long term effects that result from terrorist activities on civilians, including behavioral problems and post-traumatic stress.

He also notes that with the introduction of remote influencing technology, and the new weapon systems, it might be challenging for a psychiatrist to tell the difference between real mental and physical problems and induced ones, asking one crucial question: Are we prepared for this challenge?

Under a new law effective New Year’s Day, California cops can now seize guns from law-abiding Americans without charges and without giving any notice.

 

And police can keep those firearms for 21 days under the law known as AB 1014.

If family members believe a gun-owning individual is a danger to themselves or someone else, police may acquire a temporary “gun violence” restraining order from a judge, KPCC public radio reported.

California Gov. Jerry Brown signed the law after the 2014 shooting by Elliot Rodger near the University of California, Santa Barbara. Rodger, 22, killed six people and injured 14.

Before his May 23 shooting spree, Rodger’s parents claim they expressed concern about their son’s mental state and chilling online diatribes about women.

In his last YouTube video before the shooting, Rodger stated in what appeared to be prepared remarks: “If I had it in my power, I would stop at nothing to reduce every single one of you to mountains of skulls and rivers of blood, and rightfully so.”

Police officers who visited his apartment three weeks before the spree. Rodger’s therapist and mother had told authorities they were concerned about videos the man had posted online. But the officers – who never viewed Rodger’s videos – determined he wasn’t a threat to himself and, therefore, didn’t search his apartment or determine whether he owned guns.

“In the case of the Isla Vista shooter, Elliot Rodger, his mother was noticing that he was becoming more agitated and making these threats of violence, but there was little she could do and little the police could do,” said Democratic Assembly member Nancy Skinner of Berkeley, who introduced the bill in 2014 along with Santa Barbara Democrat Das Williams.

As of Friday, California’s new law would enable a judge to issue a restraining order against a gun owner based on accounts from family and police.

“The law gives us a vehicle to cause the person to surrender their weapons, to have a time out, if you will,” Los Angeles Police Department Chief Michael Moore told KPCC. “It allows further examination of the person’s mental state.”

A gun owner may challenge the decision three weeks after the firearms are confiscated.

“It’s a short duration, and it allows for due process,” Moore contends.

The law also requires the California court to notify the Department of Justice when any gun violence restraining order has been issued, renewed, dissolved or terminated.

The state already bans citizens from owning firearms if they have committed violent crimes or were involuntarily committed to mental health facilities.

Law-enforcement authorities are also permitted to confiscate guns if a licensed therapist says the owner is a danger to the safety of himself or others.

Moore told KPCC the new firearms restraining order is comparable to a domestic violence restraining order because no conviction is needed.

“It’s an opportunity for mental health professionals to provide an analysis of a person’s mental state,” he said, adding that he doesn’t expect “tremendous” use of the new restraining orders by authorities.

Meanwhile, gun-rights advocates are up in arms over the new law.

Same Paredes, executive director of Gun Owners of California, told the Associated Press: “We don’t need another law to solve this problem. We think this just misses the mark and may create a situation where law-abiding gun owners are put in jeopardy.”

Charles H. Cunningham, a director with the NRA’s Institute for Legislative Action, wrote, “Without a doubt, AB 1014 is one of the most egregious violations of civil liberties ever introduced in the California Legislature.”

And in 2014, Dr. Jason Kissner, associate professor of criminology at California State University, Fresno, called the legislation “the most draconian and flagrantly unconstitutional bill in the state’s, and maybe even the nation’s, history.”

Kissner warned “victims of this proposed law might have no idea they have even been targeted until police show up at the door, conceivably in the middle of the night …”

Garbage  Men  Make  4-Year-Old’s  Wishes  Come  True

A young boy got his Christmas wish granted when the only items on his list were delivered straight to his home … by the local garbage collectors.

Four-year-old Jobiah Wells is fascinated with garbage. He loves waving to his local Folsom, Calif., garbage truck workers as they pass on their route, and he even rolls the trashcans up the driveway for all 17 of his neighbors on collection day every week.

So when his mother asked him what was on his Christmas list year, Jobiah’s request was simple: four new trashcans — two for recycling, one for yard waste, and one for trash.

 

“It started as waving at the trucks each week, and then [the workers] started waving back,” Jobiah’s mother, Rachael Wells, told KCRA.

Jobiah has since developed a relationship with the garbage-truck operators, who say they adore their young fan. “He loves it so much, and I’m just amazed at how he goes up and down this neighborhood and puts everybody’s back, and it just has to be perfect, too,’ Cliff Kallis, one of the truck workers, said. “It warms my heart, it really does. It’s just amazing.”

  

So Kallis and his truck co-worker, Aaron Wilson, were thrilled to be able to personally deliver the young boy’s Christmas presents last week. “He loves garbage. He loves all things garbage,” Wilson says. “He loves the drivers. He can’t get enough of the drivers.” 

After the two men finished their regular route, they returned to Jobiah’s house with all four trashcans wrapped in red Christmas bows, and Jobiah couldn’t contain his excitement.

Though Jobiah also got a remote-control garbage truck and other gifts, nothing compared with his brand-new trash bins.

“I love them,” the young boy told KCRA. “So I’m  going to keep them, since I love them.”

Our lands, water,  food, oceans , and skies, have all been contaminated through military madness; polluting  and destroying without measure or accountability. Depleted uranium is commonly used, not only killing humans, but also land for generations to come, resulting in totally deformed life that cannot sustain itself. They have poisoned our minds, and trained us to do their dirty work, while experimenting on us, without our knowledge or consent, through the chemicals they add to our skies, water, air,  food, and pharmaceuticals, all in a vain attempt to keep us from seeing through this madness.

The Gulf of Mexico has been destroyed for profit. We pay for the war games and bombs set off in our oceans, and now in a ridiculous attempt to cover their destruction, they seek to tax us for breathing.

Water,  our birth right,  is being privatized and plundered through created ponzi schemes, in order to sell it back  to us at a premiums for profit. 

All of our resources are being stolen by  Governments, who are passing more unlawful, yet legal systems of  oppression, flaunting their riches in our faces, as they grant themselves billions of dollars in bonuses for manipulating us out of our homes  through gambling systems condoned on wall street. 

Corporate fascists are creating unbelievable wealth for themselves, and unlivable poverty for us.

Our intention at United We Strike is to empower each of us, individually, and unite us all in order to make our voices heard. We are the backbone of this tyranny, we are the soldiers, the pilots, the drivers, the workers, the father’s, mother’s, brother’s, and sister’s, who are giving our power away each and every day we enable these atrocities. 

We think we don’t have power, yet  we far outnumber the dominant criminal minority who have forced us into these positions. How will a few control the majority of the  population if we stop allowing ourselves to used? 

What will they do if we are not there to run their  machines? 

Who will they control if we control ourselves?

“We the People of All Nations” only need 5 things. Clean air, clean water, healthy food, self sufficient neighbourhoods, and LOVE. We must love ourselves enough to stop being manipulated. We must love our children enough to protect their futures and the future of our planet. We must recognize that we can grant ourselves these 5 things, all of which have been tainted, taxed, and usurped by those we allow to control us. 

It is time to set aside our differences and rise to the occasion of saving ourselves, our children, our future, and most importantly our planet. 

War is not the answer, nor is obedience to those who profit from our poverty and misery. It is time to recognize that the lie of inequality is just that….a lie. We are ONE RACE, the HUMAN RACE, and there is enough for all.

Educate yourselves. Prepare yourselves. Join us as we grow and connect globally in order to succeed in a massive movement of peaceful non-compliance. 

We are asking all people of the world to stand with us, for 3 consecutive days, April 15 -17, and simply stay home within your neighbourhoods and communities. NO participation in ANY CORPORATE ACTIVITIES WHATSOEVER.

Dallas city council - another one of those to be taught a lesson in humanity

The Dallas city council - yet another bunch of selfish, self-centered, holier-than-thou, cold hearted, self-righteous, communist oriented bastards,  need to be taught a big lesson in humanity as they live in their luxurous homes and drive their expensive cars and dine at the fanciest restaurants while the homeless are starving and in dire need of their help.

When feeding the homeless becomes an act of civil disobedience, Americans have been asleep for far too long.

Luckily, however, there are still good people who are willing to defy such arbitrary and ill-conceived laws and ordinances.

The folks over at the aptly named organization Don’t Comply, took to the streets just outside the Austin Street Shelter in Dallas this weekend to perform what has now become a revolutionary act – feeding the homeless.

“We are not complying with a bad law today,” Matthew Short, PR director of Don’t Comply said. “Evidently the city of Dallas believes that it’s wrong, or bad, or unlawful for us to feed more than a certain number of people at a time. But, during Christmas, we want to show love to our community and give these people a chance to survive the winter, whether it be with blankets or coats, or just giving them a holiday party like today with all kinds of cookies and goodies, turkey and dressing, and the whole nine yards.”

Last December, the Dallas city council enacted Ordinance No. 29595, which makes it illegal to serve food to the homeless without jumping through a statist myriad of bureaucratic hoops, including a fee, training classes, and written notices.  (Total BS - this is an inhumane ordinance and should be stricken immediately.)

One should not need to file multiple forms and pay a fee to obtain a permit to give food to those in need who are willingly ready to accept it. The folks at Don’t Comply know this.

According to Brett Sanders, hundreds of homeless people showed up to not only enjoy a fantastic array of food, snacks and beverages – but there was also an assortment of winter clothing that was donated as well.

“All of the homeless people that I talked to during the event were extremely grateful for the support and there was a sense of humanity that is indescribable. 

Interacting with other human beings whom most consider to be living life at rock bottom will likely alter your perspective on the world around you,” explained Sanders.

The event went off without a hitch, even after code enforcers showed up. Lead organizer of the event, Murdoch Pizgatti, was confronted by the enforcers who told him to file the proper paperwork upon the event’s conclusion to which, Pizgatti politely replied, “no.”

“We’ve already had to speak to the police.  They’ve already come and delivered code to us,” said Short, explaining what happened when the code enforcers showed up. “But, after shaking hands with them, they realized we’re all armed – and we’re gonna do what we’re gonna do because it’s not an immoral thing that we are doing.”

It should never be 'against the law' in these united States to feed or house or help the homeless in any way. We are brothers and sisters.  We are Americans. We are 'family.' Approximately between 40% and 45% of Americans are currently unemployed. Perhaps many more as it is well known that 'government' statistics are manipulated to make the results appear more palatable than reality. Many of the big corporations have closed down in America and, with millions and billions they were granted through the 'bailouts', and literally stole (Halliburton to Dubai), sent their businesses and jobs overseas. That's why many are losing jobs, cars, families, homes, savings, ability to obtain proper medical care, and lack of ability to be gainfully employed.  Many more will find themselves in this situation shortly. As Americans, we need to do everything we can to reach out and help others. That's the American way. The current corporations governments bent in denying help to the homeless is NOT the American way, but the Nazi way for free trips to the FEMA camps. We had better defy these 'laws' that we did not request nor know about nor authorize nor endorse and DEMAND that they be removed from the books NOW.  The next ones to be fed a meal and provided blankets may be YOU or ME.
