That's one possible theory. Personally, I think his channelings have been co-opted for some time now and this is the cabal's last ditch effort to destroy the credibility of everything we've come to believe as part of this awakening process. Something big must be around the corner if the cabal (or what's left of it) is trying this hard to lower our vibration at this moment. This is all actually VERY GOOD NEWS!
