The English are feeling the pinch in relation to recent events in Syria and have therefore raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved." Soon, though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross." The English have not been "A Bit Cross" since the blitz in 1940 when tea supplies nearly ran out. Terrorists have been re-categorized from "Tiresome" to "A Bloody Nuisance." The last time the British issued a "Bloody Nuisance" warning level was in 1588, when threatened by the Spanish Armada.
 
The Scots have raised their threat level from "Pissed Off" to "Let's get the Bastards." They don't have any other levels. This is the reason they have been used on the front line of the British army for the last 300 years.
 
The French government announced yesterday that it has raised its terror alert level from "Run" to "Hide." The only two higher levels in France are "Collaborate" and "Surrender." The rise was precipitated by a recent fire that destroyed France 's white flag factory, effectively paralyzing the country's military capability.
 
Italy has increased the alert level from "Shout Loudly and Excitedly" to "Elaborate Military Posturing." Two more levels remain: "Ineffective Combat Operations" and "Change Sides."
 
The Germans have increased their alert state from "Disdainful Arrogance" to "Dress in Uniform and Sing Marching Songs." They also have two higher  levels: "Invade a Neighbour" and "Lose."

 Belgians, on the other hand, are all on holiday as usual; the only threat they are worried about is NATO pulling out of Brussels ..
 
The Spanish are all excited to see their new submarines ready to deploy. These beautifully designed subs have glass bottoms so the new Spanish navy can get a really good look at the old Spanish navy.

Australia, meanwhile, has raised its security level from "No worries" to "She'll be right, Mate." Two more escalation levels remain: "Crikey! I think we'll need to cancel the barbie this weekend!" and "The barbie is cancelled." So far no situation has ever warranted use of the last final escalation level.

WASHINGTON (INTELLIHUB) —  This week there have been a large number of stories in the news about the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, despite the fact that the mainstream media has reported on multiple different occasions that those wars have come to an end.
This weekend US Secretary of State John Kerry was in Afghanistan to hold a formal discussion with the regions puppet dictator, President Hamid Karzai.  The main focus of the discussion was to come to an agreement about leaving 10,000 American troops in the country to fighting.
However, the discussion came to an abrubt end when John Kerry suggested that American troops should have immunity from war crimes.
It is beyond the scope of the Afghan president and his government to decide whether to grant US military personnel immunity, Karzai told Kerry, adding that this “issue of jurisdiction” would be referred to the country’s loya Jirga, an assembly of elders, leaders and other influential people.
“We need to say that if the issue of jurisdiction cannot be resolved, then unfortunately there cannot be a bilateral security agreement,” Kerry told reporters at a Kabul news conference, stressing, however, that an agreement was otherwise essentially in place. _[1]
“I don’t believe these occupiers should be protected from prosecution for war crimes,” Suraia Sahar of Afghans United for Justice told Common Dreams. “Immunity is just another extension of occupation.”_[2]
“This has been brewing for a while,” Kevin Martin, executive director of Peace Action, told Common Dreams. “This is what they were trying to do in Iraq, but the U.S. couldn’t get Iraq to agree. This is almost an exact replay.”
 ”These are not very good agreements,” Martincontinued. “The people of Okinawa are furious at rape and sexual assault by U.S. troops.”
“This is part of our country’s sickness and addiction to militarism,” he added. “There is no reason the people of Afghanistan should accept immunity.”
While the issue of immunity was denied, it was also decided that American troops will stay in Afghanistan after the date that they were originally supposed to come home.

They will have a 'Benefit' Show For the people of Haiti , on 12 TV Stations; Ships and planes lining up with food, water, tents clothes, bedding, doctors, and medical supplies. WASHINGTON — It’s sad to say that nearly everything you have been told on the boob-tube (i.e. T.V.) about the “government shutdown” is an outright lie. In fact, the U.S. Government didn’t shutdown too much of anything and now the figureheads have passes legislation unanimously in the House that would provide payment of all back-wages to furloughed government employees._[1]
So what is all the “shutdown” hype about?
Likely all of this is a grand spectacle to gain approval for a failed Obamacare program. The current administration loves using strong-arm tactics to get what they want, lying to the American people all of the way to the bank. According to the actual Oct. 2, daily U.S. Treasury Statement_[2], quite a bit of action has taken place since the beginning of the new fiscal year. In fact, CNSNews.com reported, “The Treasury also sold $1.648 billion in new Treasury securities–which is government debt.
Among the things, the federal government spent money on during the “partial government shutdown” was $1.129 billion in salaries for federal employees.
To put things in perspective, in the first two days of fiscal 2013 (Oct. 1-Oct. 2, 2012), when there was not a “shutdown,” the federal government spent $124.409 billion, collected $29.057 billion in taxes, paid out $2.542 billion in federal salaries and sold $100.91 billion in new Treasury securities (or government debt).”_[3] 
This comes as a major slap in the face to most Americans whom have trusted in their omnipotent leader for years now to turn the country’s economy around. However, many are beginning to see the writing on the wall as the Obama Administration has looted and thrown monies into the pockets of corporations and bankers worldwide. There is literally no cap or anyway to stop what might come next.
Obama has already passed more Executive Orders and has spent or given away more U.S. funds than any other President in U.S. history, making him the all-time robber-baron of current U.S. history. The once great empire we call America is now bankrupt and left to die a slow death amidst a failing infrastructure.

The USDA is directing states to withhold Electronic Transfer Benefits for the month of November until further notice, setting up a potential food stamp crisis that could very easily lead to riots and widespread looting if the government shutdown drags on.

The USDA, which oversees the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP), issued the order in a letter to SNAP administrators which states, “Understanding the operational issues and constraints that States face, and in the interest of preserving maximum flexibility, we are directing States to hold their November issuance files and delay transmission to State electronic benefit transfer (EBT) vendors until further notice.”
In other words, up to 47 million Americans who rely on food stamps to feed themselves face the prospect of going hungry next month.
An EBT system failure that occurred this past weekend led to “mini-riots” and looting at several Walmart stores. In Springhill and Mansfield, Louisiana, shelves were cleared as frenzied customers tried to exploit unlimited credit balances that had temporarily been applied to their EBT cards as a result of the system glitch. Store managers also had to close a Walmart and call police in Philadelphia, Mississippi after customers began rioting when their EBT cards stopped functioning.
EBT card users responded by invoking the threat of widespread riots if the system went down again for any sustained period of time. More conspiratorial types even suggested that Saturday’s glitch was a beta test for a future total food stamp shutdown.
Imagine how millions of people living near the poverty line are going to react when they find out that their EBT cards may not be credited next month as a result of the government shutdown.
In the state of Utah alone, 100,000 people will see their benefits frozen. Richard Phillips, a homeless man who relies on food stamps, told Fox 13, “It’s going to cause problems… because then you’re going to come to find out that you’re going to have people starting to steal and do what they have to do to survive.”
“This is going to create a huge hardship for the people we serve here in our food pantry,” said Crossroads Urban Center’s Associate Director Bill Tibbits.
As we reported on Monday, aside from a failure to fund the government, food stamps could also be withdrawn if the U.S. fails to raise its debt ceiling this week. According to a Bipartisan Policy Center report, food stamps and Social Security checks could be delayed for up to four days.
“In the most heavily armed nation in the world, and arguably the one where a massive portion of the population is now fully reliant on the welfare state for virtually every daily need, it is easy to see cutting off daily bread to tens of millions has a less than happy ending,” reports Zero Hedge, characterizing the crisis as potentially “the most catalytic event in the history of the US welfare state.”

Just like Fox News didn't grant hundreds of exemptions to companies that needed them. You did.

And Fox News didn't delay one key provision after another, including online enrollment for those small business exchanges. You did.

Just like it wasn't Fox News that said we had to pass this to see what was in this. You did. Or was that Nancy Pelosi? Sometimes I'm confused. But of this I am not.

Fox News didn't re-do basic math. Sir, You did.

Fox News didn't say you can cover 30 million more Americans and not see a hit in premiums. You did.

Fox News didn't say you could throw in those with pre-existing conditions and not have to pay for it. You did. Fox News didn't all but say you could get something for nothing. You did.

Fox News didn't come back years later and say, oh yea, we did raise some taxes. You did.

Here's where you are right about Fox News, however, Mr. President. We can do math. And did. You cannot. And did not. We said it, and proved it. You didn't. And we're ALL suffering for it.

Take it from the numbers guy at Fox. Numbers don't lie.

The number of Americans working part-time and nervous.

The number of retirees days away from being dumped on exchanges and anxious.

The number of company bosses with any news to pass along on those exchanges, but still clueless.

The number of doctors who want out.

The number of congressmen now opting out.

No, Mr. President, none of those numbers lie.

But with all due respect sir, I can only conclude you do know; I know, I know you hate us at Fox. But please take a look in a mirror, and fast.

You think we're the skunk at your picnic. But that doesn't mean we're the ones that stink. Because that smell isn't coming from the folks reporting on your law. Mr. President, that smell is your law.
