The question of the day/moment, is, if the parliament was seated or not? If not, who is in control of the country at this moment? Perhaps there will be a day or two lapse where no one is in control, a dangerous thought that is.

Rumtel is saying that perhaps Maliki is trying to become the "dictator in chief"......if he has the military behind him....who knows?????

"As Dinar Land Turns" continues its mind boggling spin on all of this....we can only wait and see??

Happy Fathers Day to all of you out there........have an awesome day!!!!!

(should we bail and sell for what we can get for our dinar since the civil war has started?)

WELL HERE IS MY REPLY...HELL NO!!

FIRST OFF THERE IS NO CIVIL WAR. SECOND I MADE THE RIGHT DECISION BACK MANY YEARS AGO WHEN I DECIDED TO START THIS INVESTMENT AND I STILL STAND ON THE FAITH I HAVE HAD EVERY DAY SINCE. ...

I AM CONVINCED BEYOND A SHADOW OF DOUBT THAT THIS IS ALL ...A POLITICAL MOVE TO TRY AND STAY IN POWER EVERY DAY POSSIBLE FOR MALIKI AND I KNOW THE FINANCIAL WORLD WILL NOT STOP THEIR PROGRESS IN PREPARATION TO MOVE IRAQ TO THE WORLD STAGE FINANCIALLY IN SPITE OF POLITICS AT THIS POINT.

MY INVESTMENT IS SAFE...MY DECISION IS MADE I AM GOING TO SEE THE RV AND I AM GOING TO SEE IRAQ DINAR TRADED INTERNATIONALLY IN JULY JUST LIKE THEY STATED SEVERAL TIMES.

MALIKI WAS INJURED YESTERDAY BUT WAS BACK HAVING MEETINGS TODAY [SATURDAY] BEGGING FOR AMNESTY AND MAKING MANY MORE PROMISES THAT THEY KNOW HE WOULD NEVER KEEP.

Cleanse And Detox Your Body With 4 Easy-To-Use Herbal Remedies

Cleanse And Detox Your Body With 4 Easy-To-Use Herbal Remedies

Nature provides a multitude of different herbs that can cleanse and heal the body in a variety of ways. Some herbs boost the metabolism whilst others support your digestive system and excretory organs by helping them to flush out toxins and built-up waste. Many of us fail to get enough rest, eat healthily, or get regular exercise, and this can lead to the body being unable to function properly. Thankfully, nature is there to lend a helping hand with beneficial herbs. Be sure to speak with a knowledgeable herbalist or natural heal care professional before starting any type of new treatment.
Burdock Root
Burdock root is a powerful anti-inflammatory that also cleanses the body of toxins and promotes urination. Those who suffer from conditions such as arthritis and gout will benefit from burdock root as it can help to reduce pain and swelling around the joints. It is regularly consumed in China and can be added to salads, stir-frys and soups. Drinking several cups of dried burdock root tea every day will flush out the kidneys and help fight inflammation. It can also be added to a bowel of hot water and used as a foot soak for those suffering from gout. Make a poultice from the leaves and place directly over painful, swollen joints. Those taking warfarin or aspirin should consult their doctor before taking burdock root as it can thin the blood. Stop using it immediately if you develop a rash from handling the root.
Dandelion
What many people consider to be a weed is actually a powerful medicine, and dandelion leaves make an effective natural diuretic. They can assist with fluid retention, constipation and are an excellent source of calcium. You can add them to fresh green salads, pasta, and sandwiches; or steam them for a few minutes and drizzle a little olive oil and lemon juice on top. You can also prepare a tea using the dried roots or leaves. Dandelion leaves are generally considered safe to use, but some people have reported a mild rash developing on the skin after use. If this happens, stop using dandelion immediately and seek medical advice.
Flaxseeds
Flaxseeds are high in fiber and help to cleanse your bowels, relieving constipation. They also provide a good source of fatty acids omega 3 and 6, as well as a wide range of vitamins, minerals and phytoestrogens. Flax seeds taste great added to cereals, smoothies and salads, but be sure never to heat them as this will destroy all of their nutrients. When purchasing flaxseeds from a health food store, smell them first to ensure they have not turned rancid, and then freshly grind them in a coffee grinder whenever you require them.
Psyllium
Psyllium husks are a well-known natural laxative that can be found in the majority of health food stores. They are extremely high in fiber, and will stimulate the digestive system and help you to regulate your bowel movements. Add ground Psyllium husks to a glass of water and drink one glass per day. Be sure to stay hydrated as the psyllium will expand slightly in your stomach as they absorb excess digestive fluids and could actually cause constipation. Using psyllium regularly will help to stimulate your bowels and promote proper elimination.

Revealed: The ghost fleet of the recession anchored just east of Singapore

Why are manufacturers returning to the united States?
By:  V.K. Durham

I would imagine to keep from being Nationalized in the nations they moved their operations to avoid paying the American Workers sufficient wages to offset the increase of the cost of living here in the U.S.  It was cheaper to go off shore.. not to be subject to OSHA, not pay tax's and ship back into the united States to those former employed individuals these manufacturers left stranded and ignored as they fled to nations which would allow starvation wages to an already impoverished people who were and are also trying to survive.

They thought they could escape under CAFTA, NAFTA etc.. only to find these thoughtless moves of not paying tax's.. enjoying Free Trade as the nation began to implode etc., etc., .. We have lost so much and so many American Employers such as AT&T to India and Pakistan, We have lost our long standing Sears, Penny's, Montgomery Ward and little mom and pop stores of the local neighborhoods.. the entire Infra-Structure of Equal Opportunity was lost.. that used to be called THE AMERICAN WAY.

After WALLMART founder Sam Walton passed away.. his children hooked up with the Clintons, WALLMART abused manufacturers all over the globe with that "our way or the high way" mental attitude.

Then fed up.. giving something for nothing.. those nations quit accepting the US CORPORATE FEDERAL RESERVE BANK NOTE.. you know.. that thing that pretends to be a U.S. DOLLAR backed by gold and silver..

Once the nations discovered they were 'holding a snipe bag with a hole in the bottom'.. they cut that activity off at the pass.. So.. If I had to make an "educated guess".. I'd guess these manufacturers are "getting the hell out of Dodge" and coming back to the US lickety -split..

Chriss Street from the testosteronepit sent a great article on this this morning..

To confirm the former statements NO ONE WANTS THE US FED. R. NOTE [IOU] is more than evident in this article below.. which I began writing about back in 2006..

The tropical waters that lap the jungle shores of southern Malaysia could not be described as a paradisical shimmering turquoise. They are more of a dark, soupy green. They also carry a suspicious smell. Not that this is of any concern to the lone Indian face that has just peeped anxiously down at me from the rusting deck of a towering container ship; he is more disturbed by the fact that I may be a pirate, which, right now, on top of everything else, is the last thing he needs.
His appearance, in a peaked cap and uniform, seems rather odd; an officer without a crew. But there is something slightly odder about the vast distance between my jolly boat and his lofty position, which I can't immediately put my finger on.
Then I have it - his 750ft-long merchant vessel is standing absurdly high in the water. The low waves don't even bother the lowest mark on its Plimsoll line. It's the same with all the ships parked here, and there are a lot of them. Close to 500. An armada of freighters with no cargo, no crew, and without a destination between them.
Simon Parry among the ships in southern Malaysia
Simon Parry among the ships in southern Malaysia

My ramshackle wooden fishing boat has floated perilously close to this giant sheet of steel. But the face is clearly more scared of me than I am of him. He shoos me away and scurries back into the vastness of his ship. His footsteps leave an echo behind them.

Navigating a precarious course around the hull of this Panama-registered hulk, I reach its bow and notice something else extraordinary. It is tied side by side to a container ship of almost the same size. The mighty sister ship sits empty, high in the water again, with apparently only the sailor and a few lengths of rope for company.

Nearby, as we meander in searing midday heat and dripping humidity between the hulls of the silent armada, a young European officer peers at us from the bridge of an oil tanker owned by the world's biggest container shipping line, Maersk. We circle and ask to go on board, but are waved away by two Indian crewmen who appear to be the only other people on the ship.

'They are telling us to go away,' the boat driver explains. 'No one is supposed to be here. They are very frightened of pirates.'

Here, on a sleepy stretch of shoreline at the far end of Asia, is surely the biggest and most secretive gathering of ships in maritime history. Their numbers are equivalent to the entire British and American navies combined; their tonnage is far greater. Container ships, bulk carriers, oil tankers - all should be steaming fully laden between China, Britain, Europe and the US, stocking camera shops, PC Worlds and Argos depots ahead of the retail pandemonium of 2009. But their water has been stolen.

They are a powerful and tangible representation of the hurricanes that have been wrought by the global economic crisis; an iron curtain drawn along the coastline of the southern edge of Malaysia's rural Johor state, 50 miles east of Singapore harbour.

US orders aircraft carrier into Gulf over Iraq crisis: Pentagon

Washington (AFP) - The United States has ordered an aircraft carrier, the USS George H.W. Bush, into the Gulf in response to the crisis in Iraq, the Pentagon said Saturday.

"The order will provide the commander-in-chief additional flexibility should military options be required to protect American lives, citizens and interests in Iraq," Rear Admiral John Kirby, the Pentagon spokesman, said.

Ordered by Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel, the move comes amid calls for air strikes to blunt a lightning offensive by Sunni Islamic militants that threatens Baghdad and the country's Shiite-led government.

US President Barack Obama said Friday the United States would not send in US ground troops but that he was weighing all other options.

The Bush is being accompanied by two other warships -- the guided-missile cruiser USS Philippine Sea and the guided-missile destroyer USS Truxtun, Kirby said in a statement.

The carrier's movement into the Gulf from the north Arabian Sea was expected to be completed by the end of the day, he said.

"American naval presence in the Arabian Gulf continues to support our longstanding commitments to the security and stability of the region," he added.

Kimberley:  Just a little sidenote from DA.  from an article about Maliki trying to get SOE powers,  that he was not given those by the Parliament,  and since it was not a judicial matter,   He just decided to  "give them to himself"......No stoning please,  just other info....take it or leave it...

HandOverFist:   Also from DA:  From Zaid al Ali -

"After Iraq Parliament refuses to grant Maliki additional emergency powers, Maliki grants them to himself anyway.  Maliki once again proves that the Iraqi constitution isn't worth the paper it's printed on.  I can't believe we wasted so much time writing it."  http://www.zaidalali.com/

KJWayne at June 14, 2014 at 5:47 AM    It's now Saturday in Iraq and in about TEN HOURS Maliki and his goons will be OUT of a job! Twelve pm on the 14th of June, Iraqi time!

Candy:    Well it's 4 PM CST, and 5 PM EST, so that is RIGHT NOW!!

Candy:   Will this actually GO THROUGH?  Can he DO this?!

Mike:    Hey guys, Maliki is in charge of the caretaker government until Parliament selects a new PM.  We need the Federal Court to ratify the votes, the NA still needs to nominate their choice for PM and Parliament has to either confirm or reject their decision.

Unless Parliament is going to use the Mosul incident as a reason to expedite the process, it's at least two weeks before Maliki is completely out of the GOI.

Mike:    Yes, Candy, Maliki has proven over and over again that he has little regard for the constitution. He pretty much does what he wants in Iraq because the opposition has been so inept.

We need the NA to hop to it and nominate a new man (Chalabi) and get him confirmed as fast as possible. Hopefully Najafi will retain his position and Barzani will become the next President of Iraq.

I wouldn't put anything past Maliki at this point, even declaring his own state of emergency. It doesn't make it legal, but when has Maliki ever followed the letter of the law when it doesn't benefit him?

Tlar:      FLASH NEWS.  Maliki appoints himself premier of Iraq.  His Excellency wants to be called king and everybody to bow in his presents.  Can he do this?  NO.

This is about as effective as declaring your own state of emergency.  So who listens to him anymore?   Certainlty not the opposition.

This fool can declare unilaterarily anything he wants.

No one is paying anything more than lip service to him until he is gone.

The people of importance are checking in with the opposition for clues to their marching orders just like Dulaimi did today.  tlar

RT: Pentagon spending millions to prepare for mass civil unrest

RT: Pentagon spending millions to prepare for mass civil unrest

The Pentagon is pumping millions of dollars annually into programs that set out to explore the factors responsible for creating civil unrest around the world, The Guardian reported this week.
An article by journalist Nafeez Ahmed published by the paper on Thursday this week acknowledges that the little-known United States Department of Defense program — the Minerva Research Initiative — has since 2008 partnered with universities “to improve DoD’s basic understanding of the social, cultural, behavioral and political forces that shape regions of the world of strategic importance to the US.”
According to the program’s website, it has recently awarded millions of dollars to be divvied up among 12 proposals from colleges that have launched projects relevant to the Pentagon’s interest, including a Cornell University study called “Tracking Critical-Mass Outbreaks in Social Contagions” as well as others involving state stability, social disequilibrium and, in one instance, “Understanding American Muslims Converts in the Contexts of Security and Society.” The funding all comes entirely from the Dept. of Defense.
“Understanding the Origin, Characteristics and Implications of Mass Political Movements,” a study out of the University of Washington, was among those selected as well. In Lowell, Massachusetts, researchers there will use $2 million from the Pentagon to study terrorist behavior.
“This research is intended to identify precisely how children get involved and how to interrupt and stop the process,”UMass Lowell Professor Mia Bloom told the Lowell Sun of her Initiative-accepted project. “The research will contrast children in terrorist groups with child soldiers and children in gangs to better understand how they are alike and how they differ.”
Jonathan Moyer of the Pardee Center for International Futures in the School of International Studies at the University of Denver told a campus publication at that school last month that a project he is involved with — one that will also now receive Pentagon funding — will “hopefully help us understand instability in middle-income countries, not just the low-income countries.”
“Trying to pull out the Tunisias and the Libyas and the Ukraines,” he told the Pardee Center, “and why they might be unstable.”
“The total funds awarded for this set of projects is expected to be around six million dollars in the first year and $17 million over three years,” the Minerva Initiative acknowledged on its website.
Writing for The Guardian, Ahmed investigated these programs further and determined that many are directly involved in mass protests and other acts of civil unrest witnessed by the world in recent years. The Cornell project, for example, will determine “the critical mass (tipping point)” of social contagians by studying their “digital traces” in the cases of “the 2011 Egyptian revolution, the 2011 Russian Duma elections, the 2012 Nigerian fuel subsidy crisis and the 2013 Gazi park protests in Turkey,” Ahmed wrote. To accomplish as much, researchers say they will examine social media conversations such as Twitter posts “to identify individuals mobilized in a social contagion and when they become mobilized.”
Another project, Ahmed added, is managed by the US Army Research Office and focuses in “large-scale movements involving more than 1,000 participants in enduring activity” across 58 countries around the globe.
The Pentagon’s overseeing of academic projects like these have raised eyebrows before, and even earned the ire of the American Anthropological Society due to its concerns with where the funding comes from.
“The Department of Defense takes seriously its role in the security of the United States, its citizens, and US allies and partners,” Dr Erin Fitzgerald, the Minerva Initiative’s director, told The Guardian. “While every security challenge does not cause conflict, and every conflict does not involve the US military, Minerva helps fund basic social science research that helps increase the Department of Defense’s understanding of what causes instability and insecurity around the world. By better understanding these conflicts and their causes beforehand, the Department of Defense can better prepare for the dynamic future security environment.”
