In an exclusive interview with Spain's La Vanguardia newspaper, Pope Francis blasted the way the dying imperial financial system is destroying humanity's future:
“Now also it is in style to throw the young people away with unemployment. The rate of unemployment is very worrisome to me, which in some countries is over 50%. Someone told me that 75 million young Europeans under 25 years of age are unemployed. That is an atrocity. But we are discarding an entire generation to maintain an economic system that can't hold up anymore, a system that to survive must make war, as the great empires have always done. But as a Third World War can't be done, they make zonal wars.”
The Pope further elaborated on a human economy vs. one where money is the measure of value:
“I believe that we are in a world economic system that isn't good. At the center of all economic systems must be man, man and woman, and everything else must be in service of this man. But we have put money at the center, the god of money. We have fallen into a sin of idolatry, the idolatry of money. The economy is moved by the ambition of having more and, paradoxically, it feeds a throwaway culture. Young people are thrown away when their natality is limited. The elderly are also discarded because they don't serve any use anymore, they don't produce, this passive class...
“In throwing away the kids and elderly, the future of a people is thrown away because the young people are going to push forcefully forward and because the elderly give us wisdom. They have the memory of that people and they have to pass it on to the young people...
“What does this mean? That they produce and sell weapons, and with this the balance sheets of the idolatrous economies, the great world economies that sacrifice man at the feet of the idol of money, obviously they are sorted. This unique thought takes away the wealth of diversity of thought and therefore the wealth of a dialogue between peoples.”

CASSANO ALL'JONIO, Italy (AP) — Pope Francis journeyed Saturday to the heart of Italy's biggest crime syndicate, met the father of a 3-year-old boy slain in the region's drug war, and declared that all mobsters are automatically excommunicated from the Catholic Church.

During his one-day pilgrimage to the southern region of Calabria, Francis comforted the imprisoned father of Nicola Campolongo in the courtyard of a prison in the town of Castrovillari.
In January the boy was shot, along with one of his grandfathers and the grandfather's girlfriend, in an attack blamed on drug turf wars in the nearby town of Cassano all'Jonio. The attackers torched the car with all three victims inside.
The boy's father and mother already were in jail at the time on drug trafficking charges. The pope had expressed his horror following the attack and promised to visit the town.
Francis embraced the man. He asked the pope to pray for the boy's mother, who was permitted to leave prison following her son's slaying and remains under house arrest. The pope also met two of the boy's grandmothers.
A Vatican spokesman, the Rev. Ciro Benedettini, said Francis told the father: "May children never again have to suffer in this way."
"The two grandmothers were weeping like fountains," Benedettini added.

Calabria is the power base of the 'ndrangheta, a global drug trafficking syndicate that enriches itself by extorting businesses and infiltrating public works contracts in underdeveloped Calabria.
During his homily at an outdoor Mass, Francis denounced the 'ndrangheta for what he called its "adoration of evil and contempt for the common good. "
"Those who go down the evil path, as the Mafiosi do, are not in communion with God. They are excommunicated," he warned.
Francis greeted about 200 other prisoners during his visit there.

A 3-year-old boy in the Golan Heights region near the border of Syria and Israel said he was murdered with an axe in his previous life. He showed village elders where the murderer buried his body, and sure enough they found a man’s skeleton there. He also showed the elders where the murder weapon was found, and upon digging, they did indeed found an axe there.

In his book, “Children Who Have Lived Before: Reincarnation Today,”German therapist Trutz Hardo tells this boy’s story, along with other stories of children who seem to remember their past lives with verified accuracy. The boy’s story was witnessed by Dr. Eli Lasch, who is best known for developing the medical system in Gaza as part of an Israeli government operation in the 1960s. Dr. Lasch, who died in 2009, had recounted these astounding events to Hardo.

The boy was of the Druze ethnic group, and in his culture the existence of reincarnation is accepted as fact. His story nonetheless had the power to surprise his community.

He was born with a long, red birthmark on his head. The Druse believe, as some other cultures do, that birthmarks are related to past-life deaths. When the boy was old enough to talk, he told his family he had been killed by a blow to the head with an axe.

It is customary for elders to take a child at the age of 3 to the home of his previous life if he remembers it. The boy knew the village he was from, so they went there. When they arrived in the village, the boy remembered the name he had in his past life.

A village local said the man the boy claimed to be the reincarnation of had gone missing four years earlier. His friends and family thought he may have strayed into hostile territory nearby as sometimes happens.

The boy also remembered the full name of his killer. When he confronted this man, the alleged killer’s face turned white, Lasch told Hardo, but he did not admit to murder. The boy then said he could take the elders to where the body was buried. In that very spot, they found a man’s skeleton with a wound to the head that corresponded to the boy’s birthmark. They also found the axe, the murder weapon.

Faced with this evidence, the murderer admitted to the crime. Dr. Lasch, the only non-Druze, was present through this whole process.

DSull:   (IMO)  There will be NO RV until there is a stable government in Iraq (period!). No one wants Maliki as the PM, except Maliki.

Although Maliki's political party (the SOL) have the most votes (93-95), it will take at least 167 parliament votes to win the PM seat.

The process is not like here in the US, where we basically have 2 parties, and we vote for a President. In Iraq, they vote for a political party, as in Parliament seats. Those winning groups form a block of at least 167 seats, which gives them more than half of the Parliament Seats and subsequently the right to chose a Prime Minister.

Once these "blocks" are formed, Parliament holds its first meeting and names a President. At this time, the "winning block" (the one formed earlier, which obtains at least 167 seats), submits there PM Candidate for ratification. Once this PM is accepted, an announcement is made and the PM is seated. There is the government.

There is time given between each of these stages of the process, but it is a max time.

Clearly the new Parliament has now been formed, because they were scheduled for their first meeting on June 30th. Then, a few days ago, that initial meeting was moved up to this Tuesday (June 24th), a full week early!

Your guess is as good as mine, but, I believe the government has already been formed. We simply await the official process to be completed and the announcements.

Again, IMO we will not see an International RV until there is a stable government. And, rightly so.

All that being said, as well the fact of the July 1st date for so many agreements to start, including the ISX -International release date, I do believe that Iraq is expediting this "process" and will have a new, seated, functional government before the end of this coming week, in order to RV their currency by or before July 1st.

I will even take it one step further and say that Maliki will not be the next PM, but Chalibi will.

Personally, I would also like to see Barzani (from the Kurds) as the next Iraqi President, but that's just wishful thinking.

Here's to our long awaited international RV between Tuesday (June 24th) and Tuesday (July 1st)!

6-20-14   Arthur   [via Poppy3] The Iraqi constitutional process is that they have 15 days after the new Parliament is ratified (June 15th) to start the new Parliament session.  But we now know they upped that to the 24th instead of July 1st.  So on the 24th they will vote in whoever the new speaker is if isn't Najafi which I don't think it will be because he smells of the last Parliaments failures.

That person will get 2 deputies voted in at that time with him.  Then they will elect a President.  That President will then turn to the largest Bloc which will be the new National Coalition and they will pick their candidate for PM who will then pick his Council of Ministers.  All this is coordinated to happen very quickly and all we need is for the process to get started in earnest.

This Article 140 includes the disputed territories including Kirkuk........this is BIG.....but even bigger this includes OIL that has been disputed by the Kurds for like forever.......this is really BIG.......

Giving the Kurds the green light to produce and export their own oil for a period of 5 years..... yes Family.....5 years......in that time they get to enjoy the amounts of the export as well.....tremendous..... but then......THEN.....they will be granted 30% of the Iraqi budget after the 5 years.

This is HUGE news.....a major piece of the puzzle falling into place.....

but what is happening.....Maliki is attempting to save and resurrect his own butt........He is playing cards that no one thought he had.....however IN FRANK'S OPINION......the avalanche against M is far too great.....the deck he is playing with has no longer been dealt in M's favor.....change should be coming.

the upper tiers are done... just waiting for them to put the final touches on the public offering process.  Personally, I'm waiting for 800#s to be distributed tonight to be able to call and set up an appt for Saturday but most likely a Monday exchange.  That timeline is all an educated guess tho but who cares.  Once you've got the 800#s you're in control of your exchange (FINALLY!!) instead of someone else in the world.

6-20-2014   Intel Guru DC   It is our belief that we are wrapping up this roller coaster right now, and the sovereign country of Iraq is setting up it’s revaluation.  We don’t know the timeline on that; the bottom line is that there is a LOT of movement, circles within circles, and the process is competed at the CBI and it’s now sitting at the BIS.

A Follow Up To Countrygal’s  Commentary

There are calls from within Iraq and around the world for Maliki to step down, but it isn't that easy. Hakim and Sadr were the leaders in removing Maliki, and still believe Maliki is the cause for the ISIL and Sunni uprising. But those efforts will need to remain on hold as the Shia are more concerned with countering the Sunni jihadists threat.

Keep in mind that Iran supported Assad despite him killing over 150,000 people, so it is unlikely they want to replace Maliki now because it is unclear if a Shia replacement would be able to make any difference in the Sunni position.

Because of the polarizing sectarian situation, the Shia don’t want to give the Sunni any physical or psychological advantage, therefore don’t want the Sunni terrorists ISIL to think they are responsible for getting Maliki out of office.

Everyone knows Maliki created this mess by marginalizing the sects, but removing him now may make the mess even worse. The strategizing by Iran, U.S., Turkey, and Saudi’s, all with differing interests, then throw in Russia, because of the situation in Syria, muddies the waters like a flooding Mississippi.

*Saudi met with Russia today to discuss Syria and Iraq;

*Iran and U.S. have been talking but neither claim to want to be involved but both have some kind of troops or intelligence in Iraq;

*Turkey has hostages in play plus the fear of Sunni uprising in Turkey;

*Saudi backs the Sunni;

*Iran backs Shia;

*US is riding the fence with Kurds, Sunni and Shia; and

* Iran and Russia are fearful Assad could fall in Syria; they all have something to gain and something to lose.

*With Putin talking with Saudi and looking for a settlement in Syria we could actually see the Syrian situation coming to a close.

CGal and I further discussed that the Kurds are out to fully exploit the situation so they can negotiate an abnormally greater position in the government. They have gained the Article 140 area, now have a large section of Nineveh, which is also the same Syrian border of the Syrian Kurds, and have Mosul nearly surrounded.

The Kurds are already asking for 25% in lieu of 17% for the region because they have more area and their population increase. Like CGal stated, isn’t it curious that the Peshmerga went into Nineveh … perhaps Ethel Najafi and Barzani had an agreement. The question then begs to be asked, if the Kurds regain what is rightfully theirs from Nineveh, what does Ethel Najafi and Nineveh get in return?

It may seem like I got a little off track on Maliki, but this is the dilemma of replacing Maliki now. What Shia could possibly step in and solve the problem besides maybe Hakim or Mahdi? And which rising star would want to step into this mess?

Not one of the sects would want to sacrifice a rising star and have him fail in a sure-to-fail situation … sure to fail making the U.S., Iran, Turkey, or Saudi Arabia happy at any level.

This is where the Chalabi option falls apart. Chalabi has a shady past in the banking business in Jordan, and an issue with the truth with the US.  Jordan has offered to pardon Chalabi to maintain a good relationship with Iraq, but give Chalabi power, it may also put a dagger in the heart of Jordan and create further sectarian separatism.

I don’t think the Sunni’s, Jordan, Turkey, Saudi, U.S., nor Iran could trust him to act in allegiance with any one of them.

*So now we are seeing Iran and US backing off a military option;

*we have 150 Saudi intelligence officers entering Mosul through Syria;

*militants stating they will not target Kurdish controlled areas;

*Saudi and Russia meeting; and *US intelligence officers helping in Iraq, and all helping to make it appear that Iraq is solving their own problem. A Shia puppet will not temper the situation in Iraq. Iraq needs a leader that can transcend all sects, a peacemaker. Countrygal’s  Commentary LINK
