A little Chicago humor!

A little Chicago humor!

Goat’s Head

I was driving through northern Illinois last night listening to a call-in program on WGN in Chicago . People were calling in all upset about the goat's' head sent to Cubs owner Tom Rickett's at Wrigley Field.

Some guy called in from Indiana and said, "Why are you all so upset ‘cause someone sent a goat's head to Wrigley Field?   Aren't you the guys that sent a horse's ass to the White House"?

I almost ran off the road!

China Gold Exchange Launches Tomorrow

China Gold Exchange Launches Tomorrow

September 17, 2014   By  JC Collins

This site has attracted some of the most intelligent readers on the internet.  Most of them relentlessly search for updated information and confirmation of the probabilities which we discuss here.

When stories break I’m usually provided a link well before I find it myself or other blogs pick up the story and run with it.

One reader who has been with me from the beginning, deejj87, sent me a link last night from Reuters stating that China has advanced the launch of the renminbi denominated Gold Exchange by 11 days.
~~~
Picture
Also  for your convenience it will be in full at the at the end of this post
As of this morning no other blogs are running this story which I find interesting considering the sense of urgency that is usually given to other stories.  It’s almost as if the sudden date change by China was not expected by the pre-planning and story writing departments of many so-called alternative media sources.
It’s these little gaps in manufactured storytelling which can both betray and relay more information about intent and purpose than a thousand contrived angles.
In the Reuters story we also learn that the Singapore exchange has been delayed.  This two prong adjustment has likely thrown a curve ball and we can expect a cause and effect scenario to play out over the next few days.
What this means is that sudden shifts like these are usually followed by other sudden and dramatic reactions to counter whatever advantage was to be gleaned from the initial change.
Going back to the original story we learn the following:
The change was made based on the availability of some government officials to participate in the launch event, one of the sources said, adding that all 11 physical gold contracts will begin trading on Thursday.
The ability to bring forward the launch, which will mark the first time foreign players will be allowed to participate directly in China’s physical gold market – the biggest in the world, shows the country’s preparedness with the exchange that it is hoping will become the center of Asian gold trading.
The first thing I notice here is that the foreign offering of the 11 renminbi denominated gold contracts has been moved up by 11 days.  And of course this is taking place in the 9th month of the year.
Since I’m both bored and distracted easily I can’t help but reference back to the numerical importance of 9’s and 11’s as discussed in the post Three Days to the Falling Man.
Anyway, moving on from occult numerology it is important to remember that things are in motion and even more so on what may appear to be a slow news day.
Let us be vigilant in watching for acts of desperation.  And don’t forget to notice the masonic pillars outside the Shanghai Gold Exchange.  – JC
P.S. – British Columbia, Canada was the first foreign government to issue renminbi denominated bonds, not the UK.  Just saying.
China Advances Gold Exchange Launch, Singapore Delays Contract
(Reuters) - China will launch its international gold exchange 11 days ahead of schedule, sources said on Tuesday, racing ahead in the scramble to set up an Asian bullion benchmark as rival Singapore is forced to delay its gold contract due to technical issues.
Asia, home to the world's top two gold buyers - China and India, has been clamoring to gain pricing power over the metal and challenge the dominance of London and New York in trading.
The state-run Shanghai Gold Exchange (SGE) will launch the global gold bourse in the Shanghai free-trade zone on Thursday, two sources familiar with the matter told Reuters. The SGE had initially planned the launch for Sept. 29.
The change was made based on the availability of some government officials to participate in the launch event, one of the sources said, adding that all 11 physical gold contracts will begin trading on Thursday.
The ability to bring forward the launch, which will mark the first time foreign players will be allowed to participate directly in China's physical gold market - the biggest in the world, shows the country's preparedness with the exchange that it is hoping will become the center of Asian gold trading.
The response has been strong, with the bourse exceeding expectations in signing up trading members, Reuters reported earlier.
Meanwhile, Singapore has delayed the launch of its gold contract to October, two other sources said. The 25 kg contract was set to be launched on the Singapore Exchange this month. The delay was due to some technical issues in setting up the trading system, the sources said.
Officials at the Singapore Exchange and SGE were not immediately available for comment.
CME Group will launch a physically deliverable contract in Hong Kong later this year, while Dubai is also preparing to launch a contract. Thailand is also considering setting up a spot gold exchange.
J.C COLLINS POST: SEPARATION OF US TREASURY AND FEDERAL RESERVE BEGINS, 17 SEPT
J.C COLLINS POST: SEPARATION OF US TREASURY AND FEDERAL RESERVE BEGINS, 17 SEPT
H.R. 24 ‘Audit the Fed’ Bill Passes in House
By JC Collins
With all of the other economic and geopolitical events which are taking place this week we can now add the passage of the Audit the Fed bill in Congress.  The bill was overwhelmingly passed with a margin of 333 to 92.
Congressman Ron Broun issued the following statement:
“Today’s passage of the Audit the Fed bill brings us one step closer towards bringing much-needed transparency to our nation’s monetary policy. For the past 100 years, the Federal Reserve, a quasi-government agency, has acted under a veil of secrecy – controlling our monetary policy and thus, our economy. While in recent years, the Fed has been granted a greater role in overseeing the regulation of our financial system, current law specifically prohibits audits of the Federal Reserve’s deliberations, decisions, or actions on monetary policy. This lack of accountability and transparency has led to grievous consequences – and it must end.
“I applaud my colleagues, Republicans and Democrats alike, for their support of this vital bill, and I commend my good friend and former colleague Dr. Ron Paul for his leadership on this important issue. I strongly encourage Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to recall his past support for this legislation – which he stated as recently as 2010 – and to bring this bill before the Senate for a vote, so we may deliver the transparency and government accountability the American people need and deserve.”
The full bill can be read here.
Now that we are on the verge of the economic transition to the multilateral system it is only prudent for the US Government and Treasury to begin distancing itself from the Federal Reserve and start implementing the blame game.
Those who have been following my site since January will recognize the obvious pattern at play here.  Congress has held up the passage of the legislation required to enact the 2010 IMF Code of Reforms which will restructure the Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund, allowing for the US Fed dollar to be removed as the primary reserve currency of the world and the SDR super-sovereign currency to be implemented in the role.
Another aspect of the 2010 Reforms will be to allow for the addition of the Chinese renminbi to the SDR basket value.  The renminbi is quickly internationalizing and the Shanghai Gold Exchange is a major component of that process.
We are witnessing dramatic changes taking place this year and the hits keep coming.  We can hardly go half a day now without another big economic or geopolitical story breaking.
Midweek Zap/Poof: The Zapper Got Zapped
Midweek Zap/Poof: The Zapper Got Zapped
09/17/2014
Subject: Fwd: MID WEEK REPORT
        From: 2goforth@Safe-mail.net   Date: Wed, September 17, 2014 6:03 pm
        Greetings and Salutations:   The Zapper Got Zapped
  Greetings All:    I have the not-so fun, even dubious distinction of advising readers of a heart attack which Uncle Zap recently experienced. Between the mantles of responsibility carried, the gentleman quitting smoking, and the full gauntlet of working through all the world’s concerns at his door, yes the man had a heart attack.
Last Friday as it turns out, Zap and I were out over some birthday celebrations and during a motion picture, in a local movie theatre, Zap had a coronary event called a heart attack.
        He has since been fully examined in one of our fine Canadian hospitals Sunday night *wink *wink…and it was determined that while still serious, his heart attack may have had some minor damage done to it none the less.
  One source tells me that after people have recently quit smoking, like Zap just has after such a long extended period of time, that these kinds of events are quite normal, and yes it happened.
        Zap has been resting mostly over the last few days and unfortunately his breathing has become quite labored of late and he does need some assistance in bringing those conditions to an end.
        To help keep the reports going and the health of the man stable, which we all pray continue praying for of course, I am now kindly asking for your help and assistance monetarily in seeing the needed support and alternative therapies implemented on Zap’s behalf straightaway. Any and all contributions are graciously welcomed.
        Zap being the kind and gentle soul that he is, does not want mere handouts, and has advised me that any and all contributors will be returned, once the Zapster is back in full combat gear, that he fully intends to return any and all such monies to those that have helped him.
Susan will be collecting the names of all those who help, such that their monies can be returned to them, along with an autographed picture of a purple pig, which you will get in your email along with a note thanking you for your kind efforts, AND get ready, a coupon for 10% off on all “Purple Pig” memorabilia going forward. And wait till you see that….
        Zap has been kinda cookoo over purple pigs and I’m trying to sneak one in for him. In a time of stress, worry, anticipation, high anxiety and fear, Zap has at times provided a guiding light that many have come to find comfort in.
We all hope that he, his body and his spirits are all on the mend as we all look forward to the full justice and recompense which will soon be upon the world financially. Something we all continue to pray for.
        May God bless you all and your families, during these exciting times,
        HI ALL        WHAT I HAVE NOT SAID LAST WEEK IS THAT WHEN I QUIT SMOKING, A COUPLE DAYS LATER, I GOT A SURPRISE: A HEART ATTACK.
        I HAD NO IDEA IT WAS A HEART ATTACK, UNTIL I WENT THROUGH THE CHECKLIST:
        LUNGS HURT LIKE ****
        WHOLE RIBCAGE HURTS LIKE ****
        TIGHTNESS IN THE CHEST THAT HURTS LIKE ****
        CAN NOT TAKE A DEEP BREATH OTHERWISE IT HURTS LIKE ****
        DID I MENTION LUNGS HURT LIKE ****?
        THE NICE DOCTORS AT THE HOSPITAL WERE SYMPATHETIC AFTER MY INSURANCE WAS VERIFIED, AND WANTED TO DO AN ANGIOGRAM, THEN AN ANGIOPLASTY.
THEY WERE MUMBLING SOMETHING ABOUT SNIPPING SOMETHING OFF BUT I COULD NOT MAKE IT OUT.
THEN THEY INJECTED MY BELLY BUTTON OF SOMETHING THEY CALLED “GOOD STUFF” TO THIN MY BLOOD, TRIED 3 TIMES TO PUT IN AN IV (OH YEAH 6. VEINS BRUISED AND HURT LIKE ****),
DID NOT GIVE ME JELL-O, OFFERED LOTS OF MORPHINE, AND CHANGED NURSES ON ME 3 TIMES.
 THE FIRST ONE WAS NICE. THEY SHOULD HAVE KEPT HER ON ME AS THE SECOND ONE SPILT THE HOT CHOCOLATE (YOU CAN HAVE HOT CHOCOLATE IF YOU HAVE A HEART ATTACK).
        THEY REALLY WANTED ME TO DO ALL KINDS OF THINGS, AND SIGN CONSENT FORMS FOR THIS AND THAT, AND I HAPPILY OBLIGED UNTIL THE WITCH DOCTOR CAME INTO THE ROOM AND STARTED DANCING.
I RAPIDLY GOT DRESSED IN THE NEXT HOUR, AND THANKED THEM FOR ALL THEIR POKING AND ASSURED THEM I WOULD BE OK.
ONE DOCTOR KEPT INSISTING THAT I WOULD DIE IN 30 DAYS OR LESS IF I DID NOT GO ALONG WITH THEIR PROCEDURES
(IS THIS A HOSPITAL WARRANTY THING YOU AUTOMATICALLY GET?).
        I SAW THE GLEAM IN THE WITCH DOCTOR’S EYE, AND THE DEAD CHICKEN IN ONE HAND, AND PROFUSELY THANKED THEM AGAIN FOR THEIR KIND CONSIDERATION AND LOW MILEAGE WARRANTY.
        HAVE YOU EVER TRIED TO GET THOSE LITTLE SLIMY POINT-OF-CONTACT ELECTRODES OFF OF YOU?
THEY DON’T WANT TO COME OFF IN THE FIRST PLACE. THEY SEEM TO GROW THESE TENDRIL LIKE ROOT THINGS INTO YOUR SKIN AFTER A WHILE, AND THEN TRY GETTING THEM OFF.
 ONCE YOU DO MANAGE TO GET THEM OFF, YOU HAVE THIS PATCH OF ADHESIVE LEFT ON YOUR SKIN (PRESUMABLY WHERE THE TENDRILS PENETRATED) THAT WILL NOT COME OFF NO MATTER WHAT.
THIS IS DAY 6 FOR ME AND THE OUTLINE IS STILL THERE NOT MATTER WHAT I USED:
ALCOHOL, PEROXIDE, AJAX, ALCOHOL, GASOLINE, TURPENTINE, MORE ALCOHOL (YOU TAKE IT INTERNALLY AT THIS POINT),
BOXES OF KLEENEX, AUTOMOTIVE RAGS, FULLER BRUSHES, SANDPAPER, MORE ALCOHOL, AND THE PESKY THINGS STILL HAVE AN OUTLINE ON YOUR SKIN.
        NOW THESE THINGS ARE ABSOLUTELY INSIDIOUS.
THEY KNOW HOW TO HIDE. I’M SERIOUS. I FOUND ONE OF THESE ELECTRODE THINGIES STILL ATTACHED AFTER I THOUGHT THEY WERE ALL GONE. IT WAS SLIMY AND UNPLEASANT.
I GOT HIM OFF WITH THE LIT END OF A CIGARETTE. DROPPED OFF JUST LIKE A LEECH. NO, I DID NOT SMOKE THE REST OF THE CIGARETTE. I DID QUIT, REMEMBER?
        SO, I AM LEECH FREE, I CAN NOT TAKE A DEEP BREATH, MY CHEST HURTS LIKE ****, AND SLEEP CONSISTS OF 10 SHALLOW BREATHS, THEN BLISS AND SLEEP…THEN 10 MORE QUICK BREATHS, THEN MORE SLEEP. SUCKS.
        ANYWAYS, INSTEAD OF AN ANGIOPLASTY, IT WAS BETTER TO DO THE CAYENNE PEPPER THING AND CLEAN OUT THE PIPES. ALCOHOL, CONTRARY TO BELIEF, DOES NOT DO THE JOB, BUT IT WAS FUN TRYING.
        THERE WERE OTHER THINGS I DID (THE WITCH DOCTOR GAVE ME HIS CARD), BUT MAYBE NEXT WEEK AS I AM WAITING ON THE NEXT BATCH OF CHICKENS TO ARRIVE. I WILL REPORT ON THIS MORE LATER.
        IN REGARD OF THE TRN, WELL, THAT WAS ABSOLUTELY DISAPPOINTING.
ALL THE BANKS GOT READY, THEN OBAMA HIT EVERYBODY WITH HIS LAST LITTLE REQUEST.
 BECAUSE A COUPLE OF MINISTERS ARE STILL NOT SEATED IN IRAQ, AND THE OIL CONTRACT THINGY HAS STILL NOT BEEN RATIFIED, AND OTHER LITTLE DETAILS, HE ASKED THE RV BE PUT TO MIDDLE OF OCTOBER. OH JOY.
A COUPLE MORE MONTHS OR RAPE AND PILLAGE LEFT THEN. BUT THE TRN ESCAPES ME…WHY DID THAT NOT GO?
NOW THAT I AM SORTA CONSCIOUS AND NOT COMPLETELY BED RIDDEN, I WILL MAKE SOME CALLS AND FIND OUT WHERE WE ARE.
        REGARDLESS, I SEE MANY GOOD THINGS BEGINNING NOW APART FROM THE USUAL GOOSE STEPPIN RV FANFARE. THE PROJECT SIDE IS DEFINITELY GOING TO HIT FIRST DESPITE ALL OTHER DELAYS.
        WE CAN ANTICIPATE PROJECT SIDE TO START NEXT WEEK I THINK, AND CERTAINLY BEFORE THE END OF THIS MONTH.
THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE RV, TRN, OR ANY POLITICAL FOOTBALL. THIS IS JUST STUFF THAT WAS DECIDED TO BE DONE TO HELP OUR HUMANITY.
        EVERYTHING THAT WE DO IS GEARED FOR PROJECTS ONLY, AND NOT THIS INTERESTING TIME OF THE RV, OR TIME OF THE IQD, OR TIME OF THE TRN. SO THAT IS THE SINGULAR REASON WHY NONE OF THESE THINGS AFFECT US.
        THANKS TO ALL OF YOU THAT HAVE HELPED DO MY HEALING. APPARENTLY THERE WERE 27 CONTRACTS SUCKING LIFE OUT OF ME. GONE NOW. THESE ASTRAL CRITTERS JUST LOVE TO SUCK.
 I KNOW ENOUGH ABOUT THEM TO STAY AS FAR AWAY AS I CAN, BUT IF A CRITTER LATCHES ON, HARD TO SHAKE HIM LOOSE SOMETIMES, AND I NEED HELP.
        MUCH THANKS AND REST ASSURED THE MERRY BAND OF PIGS SHALL BE FIRST AND FOREMOST IN OUR NEXT DISCUSSIONS.
I AM EXPECTING OUR DEAR MASCOT IN TODAY OF COURSE. TAKE A PICTURE? I CAN TRY. (MISS PHIPPS!….CAMERA AND SOME ROPE PLEASE…)
GOD BLESS YOU.    IN LOVE AND LIGHT IN OUR SERVICE       ZAP
·        After Etihad announces launch of three-room fully staffed suite, experts at Flightfox compile a list of premier cabins
·        Marking criteria included seat size and comfort, the 'rockstar' factor, food and wine and the cheapest route each flies
·        First place went to Singapore Suites, followed by Cathay Pacific, Emirates and Etihad
·        British Airways first class came 22nd overall, scoring highly in the food and drink categories
It's a tough job but someone had to do it.
Inspired by Eithad's launch of a new First Class luxury suite named 'The Residence', crowd sourcing travel website Flightfox has devised a comprehensive list of the 24 best First Class in-flight cabins from around the world.
To produce the list, they took into account everything from seat configuration, aisle access and suite privacy to the type of champagne served, whether pyjamas were provided and how caviar was plated.
And it also shows the best rate flyers can expect to pay when booking a seat in luxury.
Singapore Airlines was crowned king of the skies while second place went to Hong Kong airline Cathay Pacific and Emirates bagged bronze.
When Eithad's The Residence launches in December it will raise the bar even higher, offering guests a three room fully staffed suite, a chauffeur to a private check-in and lounge, an onboard butler, fine Italian Poltrona Frau leather sofa, two dining tables and - better yet - an in flight personal chef to whip up whatever takes your fancy.
But, for now, you could do a lot worse than booking a first class trip with any airline featured in Flightfox's survey, you'll just need deep pockets.
The cheapest price for a one-way ticket with survey toppers Singapore Airlines in their Singapore suite will set you back £2,053 ($3,324) for a flight from Singapore to Mumbai.
For that, you'll be served 2004 Dom Pérignon, provided with pyjamas to sleep in and sit on an spacious armchair hand-stitched by Italian craftsmen - their most leg room friendly design to date.
When it came to overall 'rockstar' status - one of the categories judged - Singapore suites came out as the overall winner too and offer a double bed option.
Comparatively, Hong Kong airline Cathay Pacific's cheapest one way first class ticket - who came second - costs just £440 ($713), but you'll need to fly from Hong Kong to Taiwan to bag it.
Choose them and, according to Flightfox, you'll enjoy five star food and drink service.
Cathay Pacific serve Krug Grand Cuvée champagne, an la carte menu and freshly steamed rice, toast and eggs cooked to your personal specifications.
The most expensive best-priced first class flight, according to the survey, is flying between Tokyo and LA with Japanese airline ANA, and will set you back at least £5,835.
Emirates, known for deluxe treatment, came third and slings it all on. You'll get pyjamas, use of a limousine, an in-flight shower to freshen up, an onboard bar, caviar and Dom Pérignon champagne for flying first.
When it comes to value-for-first-class-ticket-price Emirates scored forth overall, with their cheapest flight taking you from Auckland to Brisbane for £509 ($824).
Fourth and fifth place went to Etihad and Lufthansa respectively. Etihad's cheapest ticket costs £563 ($911, United Arab Emirates to Mumbai) whereas Lufthansa's best deal is £3,409 ($5,520) for a first class ticket from South Africa to Germany.
Though pricey, Lufthansa climbed higher in the ratings thanks to five star scores for seat configuration, size (a two-metre-long flat-bed) and food and wine. They serve Krug Gande Cuvée champagne, canapes, caviar and food designed by Michelin-starred chefs.
