INTERNET BLACKOUT - Major internet problems reported after cyberattack

Sites across the internet had problems on Friday morning following a cyberattack on a major internet management company.

On Friday morning, Dyn — a company that hosts domain name systems — announced it has been the subject of a cyberattack that caused major problems for numerous websites. People reported issues with Twitter, Spotify, SoundCloud, Vox Media sites, Airbnb and numerous other sites.

Dyn said at 9:20 a.m. ET that it resolved an attack that began at 7 a.m. ET Friday. But at 11:52 a.m. ET, the company said an attack had resumed.

Shortly after Dyn announced it was experiencing another attack, people reported more problems accessing Twitter and other sites.

Domain name systems (DNS) are essentially the GPS of the internet, taking the text URLs you type into a browser and figuring out where those websites’ data is located on the back end. So when you type mashable.com in a browser, it shows you both the real Mashable and can quickly and easily locate the nearest server that hosts the site’s data.

NASA Confirms Earth Will Experience 15 Days Of Darkness In November 2016

This Is not a drill, Washington, D.C. ( NewsWatch33) – NASA has confirmed that the Earth will experience 15 days of total darkness which starts between November 15 and 29, 2016. The event, according to NASA, has been waiting for this pronominal event to happen.

Astronomers from NASA have indicated that the world will remain in complete darkness starting Sunday, November 15, 2016 at 3:00 am and will end on Monday, November 30, 2016 at 4:45 pm. According to officials, (the November blackout will be caused by an Astronomical event between Venus and Jupiter)

Charles Bolden, who was appointed to the head of NASA by President Obama, issued a 1000 page document explaining the event to the White House.

According to the report, Venus and Jupiter will engaged in a close parallelism, only being separated by 1 degree. Venus will pass to the South-west of Jupiter, causing Venus to shine 10 times Brighter than Jupiter. The light from Venus will heat up the gases on Jupiter causing a reaction.
The gaseous reaction will release an unprecedented amount of hydrogen into space. The hydrogen gas will make contact with Earth’s Sun at approximately 2:50 am. The amount of hydrogen making contact with the Sun will cause a massive explosion on the Sun’s surface temperature to increase to 9,000 degrees kelvin in an instant.
The Sun will then attempt to cease the explosion by emitting heat from its core, (diagram shows above)

The heat will cause the Sun to dim to a bluish colour. once the Sun reaches the Bluish colour, it will take approximately 14 days to restore its normal surface temperature, returning its colour of the Red Giant.
While the Sun is cooling the surface, the light from the sun will be much dimmer, because it takes anywhere from 7 – 8 and a half minutes depending on the Earth’s rotation for light from the Sun to hit Earth, People will not know the event has happened until 2:58 am on November 15th.
Bolden held a conference with Obama Administration to discuss further details of the Blackout” event. According to Bolden, “we do not expect any major effects from the Blackout event. The only effect this event will have on Earth is an increase of 6 – 8 degrees in temperature. the polar cap will be mostly affected by this. No one should worry much. This event would be similar to what Alaskans experience in the winter”.

Boleden further added, The only other effect it will have is everyone will get to have a true Black Friday after thanks giving.

WikiLeaks Releases First Batch Of Barack Obama Emails…

WikiLeaks has released a new batch of leaked emails, containing messages sent to and from Barack Obama prior to his inauguration.

The emails were sent from what WikiLeaks claims is a secret address, “bobama@ameritech.com.”

The top email in today’s leak contains a message from John Podesta about a potential invitation from President George W. Bush to the “President-Elect.” Podesta sent the email while votes were still being cast on November 4th.
The emails show a transition plan being worked on before the 2008 election had taken place. According to an attached memo in one of the emails, Obama was already discussing his transition to office with members of the Bush Administration, including then-Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson, prior to the election.

As you have observed in your interactions with Secretary Paulson, he is apparently eager to involve you and your transition team extensively in his policy choices following the election.

Another attached memo acknowledges that it was unusual to start the transition process so soon.

We are now at the point of deciding how to staff economic policy during the transition, who should be the point of contact with Treasury and how to blend the transition and campaign economic policy talent.

Normally these decisions could be made after the election, and ideally after the selection of a National Economic Advisor, but, of course, these are not normal times.

One of the emails, from Citigroup executive and later Assistant to the President Michael Froman, shows a proposed “diversity list” for the cabinet. In Froman’s own words, the lists consist of :

A list of African American, Latino and Asian American candidates, divided between Cabinet/Deputy and Under/Assistant/Deputy Assistant Sectetary levels, as well as lists of senior Native Americans, Arab/Muslim Americans and Disabled Americans. We have longer lists, but these are candidates whose names have been recommended by a number of sources for senior level jobs in a potential Administration.
A list of women, similarly divided between candidates for Cabinet/Deputy and other senior level positions.
