Britain's first and only female prime minister Baroness Thatcher has died at the age of 87 after suffering a stroke.
Lady Thatcher's children Mark and Carol said their mother, who suffered bouts of ill health in recent years, died peacefully on Monday morning.
Downing Street, which joined Buckingham Palace in flying its flags at half mast, said the politician would be given a full ceremonial funeral with honours at St Paul's Cathedral.
Sky sources understand she died at the Ritz in central London where she had been staying since January following a minor operation.
It is believed her Belgravia home was not properly equipped for her recovery and she was invited to stay at the hotel by its owners, David and Frederick Barclay.
Prime Minister David Cameron led tributes from around the world, calling the former Tory leader "a great prime minister, a great leader, a great Briton".
He said: "As our first woman prime minister, Margaret Thatcher succeeded against all the odds, and the real thing about Margaret Thatcher is that she didn't just lead our country, she saved our country, and I believe she'll go down as the greatest British peacetime prime minister.
"Her legacy will be the fact she served her country so well, she saved our country and that she showed immense courage in doing so and people will be learning about what she did and her achievements in decades, probably centuries to come."
Mr Cameron was in Spain at the start of a European tour to push for a more flexible EU when the news broke but immediately cut short his trip.

US President Barack Obama said that America would "never forget her standing shoulder to shoulder with President Reagan" and that she had "with moral conviction" helped to shape history.
He said: "With the passing of Baroness Margaret Thatcher, the world has lost one of the great champions of freedom and liberty, and America has lost a true friend.
"As a grocer's daughter who rose to become Britain's first female prime minister, she stands as an example to our daughters that there is no glass ceiling that can't be shattered. "Very few leaders get to change not only the political landscape of their country but of the world. Margaret was such a leader. Her global impact was vast," he said.
He added: "As a person she was kind and generous spirited and was always immensely supportive to me as Prime Minister although we came from opposite sides of politics.

Former Conservative prime minister Sir John Major described his predecessor as a "true force of nature" and a "political phenomenon".
He said: "In government, the UK was turned around under - and in large measure because of - her leadership.
"Her reforms of the economy, trades union law, and her recovery of the Falkland Islands elevated her above normal politics, and may not have been achieved under any other leader."

She suffered several small strokes in 2002 and was advised not to accept further public speaking engagements.

the import and export of small firearms. The ban would have affected all

implemented an international gun registry on all private guns and ammo.

“International Consortium of Investigative Journalists,” of the names of

released the details of accounts held by people like Barak Obama, Tony Blair,
the Governor of the Bank of England, Hillary Clinton etc. For example, the
Obama offshore account totals $30 billion and is held under the name Henry

Another attack
was the release by Wikileaks of millions of documents linked to arch-cabalist
Henry Kissinger including such juicy Kissinger quotes as “the illegal we do
overnight, the unconstitutional takes longer.”
The financial
attack on the cabal is also intensifying. The widely reported physical gold shortages,
such as the line ups at gold outlets in Thailand, are being caused by cabalists
desperately trying to use their fiat paper currencies to buy physical gold. In
the case of Thailand, the Saudi Royal family and their buddies the Bushes are
working with Japanese crime syndicates to buy Thai and Persian royal family

The wife of the
Prime Minister of a major Asian country even phoned this writer last week to
ask where gold could be found (Hong Kong, Switzerland and Indonesia was my best
guesstimate answer).
In Japan, the
big monetary easing announced by the Bank of Japan last week is actually a
massive move to protect Goldman Sachs and the Rockefellers, according to the
executive of a Japanese securities company. Goldman Sachs is in severe trouble
in South Korea, Japan and elsewhere and is using yen in a desperate move to
keep itself afloat, he said.
“The entire
South Korean financial system is controlled by Goldman Sachs and it is
imploding under bad debt,” he said. A South Korean government official denied
this.
However, a
White Dragon Foundation delegation to Seoul was recently shown photographs of
large amounts of gold for sale supposedly held at a secret location in South
Korea. However, the South Korean side, including representatives of the 6 largest
conglomerates and the South Korean government, were unable to provide a
photograph of a recent newspaper being held in front of the gold.
There is also a
desperate move by North and South Koreans in Japan to liquidate their yen
holdings and either buy South Korean won or gold before their money is
confiscated by the Japanese tax authorities, the executive said.
The Japanese
monetary easing and the attempts to grab Korean assets are a sign of
desperation by cabalists stooges in the Japanese political scene who see their
Sabbatean bosses being pulled down above their heads.
Until this
battle is finally over and the cabal is dealt with, the world faces real risks
of another major terror attack. Asked for his reaction to the ongoing takedown

America if you had carried out your plans then against America. "Comrade
Girty" had penetrated White House security and you knew the secret
military plans of America which made you confident that you could defeat
American then. As your Comrade Girty later explained to an F.B.I. informant who
had tricked him into thinking that he was a fellow Communist spy, Moscow had
won the Cold War and would take over the entire world as soon as their final
moves to the plan were carried out. I unhinged their plans and saved America
from almost certain defeat by the Soviet Union. The Joint Chiefs of Staff

after this F.B.I. informant reported to J. Edgar Hoover and also saw the Joint

know of the secret deal you made with Fidel Castro which the Pentagon never
found out about. As Wash., D.C. is rather reptile in moral character, I
with worldly wisdom did not tell Wash., D.C. everything I knew about Russian
plans for the nuclear annihilation of America if ever World War III came. As my
knowledge decided if America lived or died as a nation if war ever came with
Russia and key intelligence sources knew I had not told everything I knew, this
was a bit of an insurance policy that I was not wanted murdered by key intelligence
sources.
I blocked you from capturing
control of the Middle East during the 1970's by releasing military intelligence
information to Arab intelligence sources of the secret Israeli war plans how
Israel would annihilate the Arab nations if World War III came. Israeli

demand the military surrender of America as they would already essentially
control the world economy from that moment on. At that same time I met with a
secret connection of mine from Saudi Arabia who turned over to me all the
military plans of the Middle East to work with Russia to destroy Israel. And I
met with a secret contact of mine in Brussels, Belgium who turned over to me
all the secret military plans of the European Common Market nations then which
they had not told the Pentagon about. We were 30 days away from the invasion of
the Middle East by the European armies and World War III if I had not defused

Now that I have identified myself
to intelligence in Moscow, I was not murdered by Wash., D.C. as you thought I
likely was. And when you came in for the kill to defeat and annihilate America

copied and used my tactics I had used against you against Wash. intelligence
