Russia could detonate nuclear weapons over Yellowstone supervolcano and San Andreas fault to completely annihilate America says retired Kremlin military analyst

  • Konstantin Sivkov wrote that Russia needs a new 'asymmetric' weapon
  • He says detonating nuclear weapons on seafloor would unleash tsunamis
  • Seismic activity would trigger volcano, pour feet of ash over the US
  • He says tsunamis could affect 240 million Americans and hit Europe too
  • Analyst says new weapons could be ready within 10 years
  • TV presenter previously said Russia could turn US to 'radioactive dust'

A Russian military analyst has said that his country should develop weapons that can cause a nightmare scenario of tsunamis and volcano eruptions in the US, potentially killing hundreds of millions.
Konstantin Sivkov, who writes a column for the Military-Industrial Courier, wrote earlier this month that Russia needed new 'megaweapons' to unleash chaos and guarantee destruction of its enemies.
In an article titled 'Nuclear Special Forces' he said that Russia should develop nuclear weapons manned by a small force that can cause tsunamis on the US coasts and force a volcano in Yellowstone National Park to erupt.

He said that the main objective of the new system would serve as an asymmetric threat against the US, which is 'moving to the borders or Russia'
Sivkov headlines sections of his article with headers such as 'Specifications for Megaweapons', 'One Day Without America,' 'The Day After Tomorrow' and 'The Apocalypse- Simply and Cheaply'
The Russian analyst reasoned that because 80 per cent US population lives near the coast, generating tsunamis on the San Andreas fault and in the Atlantic would be an effective way of causing massive damage to 240 million people.
He references Hurricane Katrina's impact on New Orleans and says that detonating nuclear bombs near the bottom of the ocean would create waves almost a mile high that would sweep inland.
The military man says that all the seismic activity could release another wave that would wipe out the US's European allies.
Sivkov, the president of the Academy of Geopolitical Problems, says that Russia's large inland territory in Siberia will protect it from receiving too much harm.
He raises the stakes for the apocalyptic scenario even further by saying that the tsunami could trigger the Yellowstone Caldera, a supervolcano that last exploded 640,000 years ago.

The explosion would then unleash feet of volcanic ash over all of the United States.
According to Sivkov, Russia could also trigger just the volcano with a 'relatively small' megaton blast because it has shown signs of activity.
Sivkov said that the normal nuclear deterrent was not good enough and too expensive given Russia's economic problems.
While he is convinced of his idea, it remains to be seen if the tsunami and the litany of destruction that followed would be even be possible if the world came to nuclear war.
The journal that the analyst writes for is a niche publication with less than 2,000 fans on the Russian social network VKontakte.
He may not have the ear of President Vladimir Putin, but Sivkov has a history of making attention-grabbing statements about Russian military affairs for state-backed media.
Sivkov said that his new nuclear deterrent idea could be deployed from one ship and could be ready within ten years.
He has imagined potential war between the US and Russia before, telling the pro-Kremlin Independent Newspaper that military games in eastern Russian north of Japan were 'intended to simulate a response to a hypothetical attack by Japanese and US forces.'
His other articles in VPK repeatedly call for bigger and more powerful weapons for the Russian military and he has bemoaned Russia's lack of military spending compared to the US, according to the Moscow Times

Russians' once positive views of America have slid sharply since the beginning of rising tensions between Moscow and Washington over Syria and Ukraine.
In January 81 per cent of residents said they had a very bad or generally bad view of the US.
Imagining America turned to ashes is a frightening thought, though Sivkov's article was not the first time that it had been floated recently in Russia.
During the beginning of the Ukrainian crisis and Russia's annexation of Crimea, state-run television presenter Dmitry Kiselyov said that President Obama's gray hair was because of worries about Russian nuclear weapons.
He said that Russia was 'the only country in the world capable of turning the USA into radioactive dust.'

The Threats Against Russia – Canada’s Political Mainstream Backs War in Ukraine

Canadians will go to the polls next October in the first national election since the Conservative Party won a majority government in 2011. There is intense concern among progressive people in the country about the prospects of the Conservatives winning another term in office. The government of Prime Minister Stephen Harper is moving further and further to the right. It has aligned itself tightly with U.S. foreign policy, including being ‘holier than thou’ in its unconditional support of Israel. It joined the U.S.-led air war in Iraq six months ago and now it is joining the U.S. in expanding that to Syria. It has cemented Canada’s role as a leading climate vandal in the world. It has attacked civil and social rights across the board and is now deepening that attack with the proposed, ‘police-state Canada’ Bill C-51. This leaves many Canadians favorable to the idea of an electoral and governing alliance between the two, large opposition parties in Parliament—the Liberal and New Democratic parties—in order to defeat the Conservatives. NDP leader Tom Mulcair says he is open to a governing coalition with the Liberals if neither party wins an electoral majority. But on the increasingly dangerous issue in world politics—the war in eastern Ukraine and accompanying military threats and expansion of NATO in eastern Europe—there is an astonishing unanimity in the Canadian political and media establishment. NATO is embarked on a drive to weaken Russia, with all the risk and folly that entails—including a nuclear danger. The people and territory of Ukraine are being used as war proxies to get at Russia. Yet, there is nary a peep of disagreement in the Parliament in Ottawa. Liberals in lock-step with Conservatives over Ukraine/Russia Is it possible for opposition parties in Ottawa to promise big change from Conservative rule when they share the Conservative–and NATO–ambition for a ‘long war’ with Russia? It is not. Canadians are seriously mistaken if we believe that a country embarked on confrontation with the peoples of Russia and elsewhere in eastern Europe can simultaneously tackle the important issues of our times such as climate change, political rights and social justice (particularly as concerns Indigenous peoples). The website The New Cold War: Ukraine and beyond is writing and publishing extensively about the ‘blame Russia’ group think in government and mainstream media in Canada and other NATO countries over the war in Ukraine. With few exceptions, mainstream media in the NATO countries is acting as an echo chamber of government policy. The ‘blame Russia’ narrative says that the governing coalition in Ukraine of billionaire neo-conservatives and right-wing extremists are brave defenders of Ukraine worthy of support against ‘Russian aggression’, end of discussion. It gets worse in Canada. Two of the country’s leading newspapers—the Toronto Star and the Globe and Mail—have been publishing articles promoting the fundraising efforts in Canada of Ukraine’s extreme-right paramilitaries for the purchase of weapons and other military equipment. The Liberal Party, supposedly a party of the mainstream center, is proving every bit as hawkish and warlike as the Conservatives. A key voice of the party on Ukraine and Russia is Chrystia Freeland. She is an author, former editor of the Globe and Mail, and the star candidate of the Liberals who won the hotly contested by-election race in 2013 for the Parliamentary seat of Toronto Centre , narrowly defeating the candidate of the NDP, Linda McQuaig, a left-wing journalist. One of Freeland’s parents was Ukrainian and she is fluent in the language. Paradoxically, she is outspoken against the widening income gaps in the wealthiest countries of the world. She authored a book in 2012 titled, ‘Plutocrats: The Rise of the New Global Super-Rich’. Freeland spoke bluntly to a gathering of Ukrainian Canadian women on March 8 at an event in Toronto marking International Womens Day. A brief portion of her remarks (in English) was broadcast in a Ukrainian language news program here (at the 7′ mark). She told the gathering, “This conflict with Russia is not going to end in one day. Our community, our country, the entire Western world needs to really be prepared for a new environment. This is not something that can end quickly, and we need to adjust the way we think. We need to understand this is a very profound ideological battle going on. She went on, “It’s actually a conflict even bigger than Ukraine. This is about the rule of law and democracy in Europe and the Western world. That’s why it is being fought so fiercely.” She gave an interview to a Ukrainian-Canadian publication at the same event in which she said, “Having said that [the West has been valiantly aiding Ukraine], I think we need to be prepared that right now this Minsk-2 [ceasefire] moment is a pause, not the end. And we need to be prepared for this conflict to be a very, very long conflict.” Yvan Baker, the Liberal member for Etobicoke Center (Toronto) in the Ontario Legislature (an electoral district with a large number of Ukrainian-Canadians), is another of the Liberal hawks on Ukraine. He gave a statement to the Legislature on March 11 in which he said, “Today, Ukraine is at war and the situation is dire. Russian-backed forces have occupied part of Eastern Ukraine and continue to advance. The soldiers I met [while visiting Ukraine in November 2014] are fighting against state-of-the-art equipment with outdated weapons, some from World War II.” “The invasion is a global threat. It is a violation of international law and order established at such great cost during WWII.” “Efforts at peace have failed. For months, Ukraine’s president has been asking for defensive [sic] weapons so that his nation stands a chance against the larger and more advanced Russian military. Others such as [U.S. Senator] John McCain and John Boehner [Republican Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives] have echoed his call and the U.S. Congress has passed authorization for the U.S. to arm Ukraine. “I urge our federal government to act on the Ukrainian Canadian Congress’s Feb. 21st statement which calls for Canada to, and I quote: ‘dramatically increase sectoral sanctions’, ‘increase the provision of communications and intelligence capabilities’ and ‘provide Ukraine with the defensive weapons, equipment and training it needs to defend its territorial integrity’.” Liberal Party Premier of Ontario Kathleen Wynne joined the pro-war chorus last August when she appeared at a Ukraine Independence Day event in Toronto. It was organized by the extremist Ukrainian Canadian Congress and it featured a fundraising booth of the fascist Right Sector party of Ukraine. Funds were directed to the purchase of military equipment. Wynne’s speech was a vigorous call to continue Kyiv’s war in eastern Ukraine. At the time, the war was at one of its bloodiest stages. Rockets and mortars were raining down relentlessly on civilian targets, including school and hospitals, while residents, including children, were living months on end in makeshift bomb shelters. Wynne told the gathering that Ukraine armed forces “are defending the very independence that we are here to commemorate”. She declined to speak to journalists afterward. It is unusual, to say the least, for a provincial premier in Canada to pronounce vigorously on a foreign policy issue, particularly so when it concerns a brutal war against a civilian population. But such is the group-think support for Kyiv’s war that Wynne’s call to arms raised little attention or controversy. A Liberal member of Parliament in Montreal, Irwin Cotler, succeeded on March 25 in gaining unanimous support for a motion in Parliament to extend sanctions against Russian officials deemed to be involved in the death in prison custody of a Russia lawyer more than five years ago. The official opposition party, the NDP, has not been as vigorously outspoken as the Liberals (excepting an appearance by MP Peggy Nash at an event in Toronto last November where she shared a stage with a Right Sector guest speaker). But it supports the government/NATO drive. All three large parties in Parliament joined in formally welcoming a visit by Andriy Parubiy to Parliament on February 24-26. Paruibiy was a founder of Ukraine’s post-independence, fascist and extreme-right political movement in the early 1990s. He was the ‘commander’ of the right-wing shock troops on Maidan Square in Kyiv which spearheaded the overthrow of Ukraine’s elected president in February 2014. His role has drawn attention because of revelations that at least some of the sniper killings on Maidan Square on Feb. 20 were conducted from buildings occupied by the shock troops. [1] He became deputy speaker to Ukraine’s Parliament following the election last Oct. 26. The one Green Party member in Parliament has been in lock-step on Ukraine, notwithstanding her divergence from the government on the bombings in Iraq and on civil liberties issues. Elizabeth May put an innocuous question to the government in the House of Commons on March 25 in which she assured, “We all join the Prime Minister in condemning Putin’s aggression [sic]…” Police-state laws Ironically, the opposition parties in Ottawa are voicing discomfort and even some opposition to a new set of police-state laws in Canada which resemble an awful lot those which have come into force in Ukraine during the past year. Bill C-51 contains several new “national security” provisions which will make it easier for Canada’s political police and other police agencies to spy on, disrupt and pre-emptively arrest people deemed to be a threat to vaguely denied “national interests” and “national security” in Canada. The bill has been condemned by human rights lawyers and advocates, environmentalists and trade union leaders, among many others, who say its provisions are aimed squarely at critics of government and industry such as them. (See a full explanation of Bill C-51 here.) Indeed, the political policing to which Bill C-51 gives further legitimacy has been on full display in the streets of Montreal and Quebec City in the past ten days as tens of thousands of post-secondary students have gone on strike in Quebec against hikes to tuition fees and other antisocial, austerity policies. Last week, police in Montreal and Quebec City assaulted several large student demonstrations and arrested hundreds. In Quebec City on March 24, 274 protesters were arrested and detained by police during an evening protest and street march. Two days later during another evening march, some students were shot point-blank in the face by Quebec City police with tear gas canisters. The police actions in Quebec should concern every Canadian and they raise the obvious spectre of the cruel, war policies in Ukraine coming home to roost in Canada. And in an eerie replication of the pattern of mainstream news reporting of Ukraine, the news of police actions in Quebec has largely gone unreported elsewhere in the country. Illegal war in the Middle East Another taste of the new, Ukraine-inspired law and order in Canada is the federal government’s decision to extend to Syria the aerial bombing campaign it has been conducting in Iraq alongside its U.S. big brother. The bombings are purportedly targeting “terrorists”. On what legal basis is Canada going to war in Syrian territory? Roughly the same as in Iraq, namely, ‘the U.S. is doing it, so we should join them’. Harper told Parliament that Canada is “pursuing this action on exactly the same legal basis as its allies”. But he did not answer what, exactly, is that basis. Foreign affairs minister Rob Nicholson told the chamber, “The Americans have operated in there [Syria] for six months without resistance from the Syrian government.” Minister of Defense Jason Kenny says Canada is acting at the behest of the discredited and U.S. puppet government in Iraq. He said, “Iraq has asked Canada and allied countries to help them defend their innocent civilians from terror attacks being launched out of eastern Syria in a part of that country the Syrian government either is unwilling or unable to control.” When pressed by opposition parties and journalists, the Conservatives agreed to send a letter to the United Nations to inform it of its plans. The Liberals and the NDP agreed to the bombings in Iraq when they were launched six months ago but are uneasy over extending this to Syria. Both voted against the Syria adventure, though a section of the Liberals disagrees with party leader Justin Trudeau. There is an atmosphere of intellectual intimidation prevailing in Canada whereby criticism of the war and of NATO is said to amount to uncritical support of the Russian government (or what they call “Putin’s regime”). As a consequence, some alternative media is silent. Academia and antiwar groups are largely quiescent. In Quebec, the radical publication Presse-toi à gauche routinely publishes the ‘blame Russia’ outlook, describing the people of eastern Ukraine as hapless victims of Russian aggression to be pitied. In 2003, the advocates of war against Iraq did not get very far with accusations against antiwar forces of “appeasing” Iraqi ruler Saddam Hussein. Today, a parallel argument against Russia has been effective in quieting voices that would otherwise be expected to be critical. The NATO confrontation with Russia is a reckless and dangerous course that is corroding politics in Canada. It threatens the capacity to forge a progressive alternative to the governing warmakers if it is not challenged. That’s why it is important to speak and act against the war in Ukraine and its wider implications. Roger Annis is an editor of the website The New Cold War: Ukraine and beyond. Notes [1] The full story of the sniper massacres on Maidan Square is documented by Ivan Katchanovski, a researcher at the University of Ottawa. Source: Counterpunch, 31 March 2015

When the Shite Hits the Fan

As David Icke would say. What will you do? Is it going to hit the fan? I don't see how things can go on much longer as they are. When will it happen? Your guess is as good as mine. I suppose it's even possible that we will come through this in relatively good shape. But I'm not going to count on that. There are as many opinions about a crash as there are experts. And I'm not one. I rely on critical thinking and good old fashioned Midwestern common sense. I have a friend who won't even talk about any of the things I read and write about. She is just too scared to look at it. Maybe she's right. Just enjoy each day as it comes and don't worry about tomorrow. But I think you can do both things. Do the best you can to prepare for the worst, then enjoy each day as another blessing, hoping for the best.
There are things you can do to hedge your bets that you can survive many of the scenarios painted for us on the alternative news. And please remember that the alternative news sites have been infiltrated and put out disinfo as well as the real deal. Hone your discernment, trust your intuition and read but verify. Remember that as the consciousness rises, the more of us there are to affect any time line we are on. We create our own reality and enough of us can change the world. In the meantime there are some common sense things you can do to protect yourself and your loved ones.
If you live in or very close to a large city, I would consider relocating to a more rural area. When the economy crashes and the government can no longer prop up the behemoth medical system, financial system, including food stamps and perhaps, the infrastructure, food, medicine and other necessities will either not be available or will be priced way beyond the average person's ability to buy it. If you think the gangs are bad in big cities now, that situation will be on steroids at that time. I would not want to be anywhere near a large city when TSHTF.
If it is at all possible move now. If there is no way you can do that, get to know your neighbors and come up with a survival plan. Have a place for food and water storage that your group can share and be prepared to protect that stash. If you don't have a weapon or know how to use one, now would be the time. Find someone to teach you gun safety. I was hunting at ten and was very safety conscious. My children took the NRA gun safety course so they would be familiar with weapons. If you are still uncomfortable with guns after that, leave that to others and be useful elsewhere.
Learn how to grow your own food organically. It really isn't that hard. In fact gardening is very healthy, even for the elderly. You just have to pace yourself and move a little slower. While you are at it, find a source for heirloom seeds and guard them with your life. Purchase hand tools for gardening and household repair. If you don't have a source for meat, eggs and milk, set that up now. I have a friend who has a milk cow and chickens. I can trade Reiki, hypnosis sessions, baked products and all kinds of clothing for produce. I buy honey locally and of course, hit all the farmers markets in our general area besides maintaining our own garden.
My doctor and her husband raise beef, bison and elk and have a store at the edge of town. You'd better believe I patronize that place. I know the animals are raised on grass and are clean from drugs. Our local discount grocery store (No, not Walmart) carries grass-fed beef, along with other healthier products. When you find a great source for good food, spread the word to help out others and keep the source in business. I believe the time will come when people will be trading services for food. Keep that in mind as you set up your storage area. Also, I rarely use sugar but I buy a bag every time it goes on sale. Since there is no food value in it, it doesn't go bad. Storing gold and silver is fine but if there is no food to buy, you can't eat it. Extra food will be great bartering items.
At this point, I'm not totally convinced that all wheat is bad, although I eat very little bread. A loaf would last my husband and I a month if it could stay good for that long. But to those who say early man didn't eat grain, I would have to point out that some form of bread has been the mainstay for most people all over the world for thousands of years. And when the 5000 year old Iceman's stomach contents were analyzed, they found meat, grain and some fruit. As I've long suspected early man ate whatever he could find to eat that didn't eat him first. They might not have grown grain in any quantity until they stopped roaming and built more permanent settlements, but they did consume grain. Granted it wasn't genetically modified But I have yet to see any Amish with 'wheat belly'. So I buy my cereal/grains and flour products from them
And while I'm on the subject of the Amish, think about how you would live if you were transported back to the 1800's. If the grid would go down you would need to get very creative in a hurry. Why wait till then? Look at each thing that you do whether household chores, gardening, home repair, shopping etc. Do you have the hand tools to take care of your family? If not, while things are still relatively calm would be a good time to purchase them. The only thing I don't have is a push mower and a neat yard is the last thing I will be concerned about if things go to hell. Besides there's a farmer who raises pigmy goats nearby. A small animal hobbled in my yard that can mow, fertilize and provide milk sounds like a great deal to me. I certainly know how to milk.
If there are any old time Amish or Mennonite in your area, I would be picking their brains to see how they survive without electricity and cars. While you may not be able to purchase a horse and buggy, most people can manage a bicycle. Get baskets for them. How do these people wash clothes? How do they heat their homes in the winter? I already know how they take care of most medical issues because that's where I buy a lot of my herbs and other homemade remedies. Really study how these people live, raising their own food and preserving it. Working together as a community to not only survive but thrive. If you think about it, though we've become spoiled to our modern lifestyle, it wasn't all that long ago that everyone lived that way.
I'm going to enjoy the conveniences that I have for as long as I have them, but I am well prepared to live without them as well. I had the advantage of living like that for a year deep in the Southern Ozarks.
My first husband and I lived in a tar paper shack with no electricity or running water. I carried water in two ten gallon milk cans, boiled it on a little two burner w/oven camping stove. Washed our clothes by hand and hung them on a clothesline. I got very creative on how to get by without modern conveniences. And I had been raised fairly wealthy and had never done without anything in my life though I grew up working on a farm. You can learn.
Of course we were young, but it really was a fun experience only marred once by my forgetting to turn off the gas, lighting the oven and blowing my eyebrows and eyelashes off. You'd be amazed at how funny you look without them. But even at my advanced age now, I still prefer hand tools when gardening or cooking and baking. I have the electric appliances but seldom use them. And I can work rings around my 26 year old son. I have a theory that hard work is what keeps you in good shape, not sitting in front of an X-BOX with a controller in your hands all day only exercising your thumbs!
Strangely enough after the Ozark living, my daughter and I having moved back to my hometown and still lived very simply. I found a nice apartment in a quiet neighborhood with a backyard for growing vegetables. We lived there for seven years without a car, phone or TV by choice. We had our bicycles with saddlebags and front baskets we went grocery shopping with. I did a lot of canning and preserving, washed our clothes in a little electric washer and hung them on a line outside in good weather and in the basement in winter. We spent a lot of time together, played cards and board games and read a lot. Spent a lot of time at the local library. Explored the town and surrounding countryside on foot or bike. She told me not long ago that those were the happiest years of her life. She is attempting to recreate that lifestyle in her small town.
Have fun with this as you and your family brainstorm ideas on survival living. If you are lucky enough to have a cabin in the woods somewhere, that would be perfect. But even if you just go camping on weekends, you are ahead of the game because you'll know how to exist off the grid. I have a washer and dryer I intend to use as long for as I can but I also have a couple of fiberglass tubs and new clotheslines when needed. I have a huge crock in the basement that will keep butter, eggs and milk good for a while. Get some camping stoves and some propane while they are still available. Remember to turn off the gas when done.
While things are still relatively quiet, increase your knowledge of survivalist living. I have books on gardening, saving seeds, canning, drying food and animal husbandry should I need it. I have a friend who makes soap and candles, although my husband says I have enough candles, matches and lighters for most of my town. I also purchased several oil lamps and bottles of oil.
A few years ago our electricity went out due to an ice storm. My husband and I were perfectly content. I could still cook food on our gas stove and we had hot water due to having the older hot water heater with a pilot light instead of electronic starter. I put the candles and oil lamps to good use in the evening. My son and his wife who live in the same building went into withdrawal without their 'toys'. I reintroduced them to card and board games, not to mention books! At least they know if the Grid goes down for a long time, they will be all right as long as they live within walking distance from Mom.
If the Grid goes down or the financial system collapses, the government won't be able to help you. They'll be too busy trying to preserve their own worthless hides. There will probably be total chaos in big cities. Roving bands of thugs looking to take what you have stored will be common. Don't leave yourself vulnerable. Learn how to protect yourself and what you have stored. Partner with your neighbors and share what you have. Remember, you have to sleep sometime. Someone will always have to be on guard.
Now is the time to stock up on medicine, especially life saving meds that you take daily. Buy them from overseas or get your friendly doctor to write scripts for more than you will use right now. Get some books on natural healing or healing with herbs and the household products you already have. I have stored lots of hydrogen peroxide, witch hazel, Epsom salts, vinegar, baking soda, bleach and lots more. I have a surgical kit and experience working with farm animals well enough to clean and stitch wounds if necessary. It would also be beneficial to have a doctor close by that you can rely on for emergencies you can't handle at home. There are some great survival books on the market. I have most of them.
As for 'Obama coming to take your food' it looks to me like he has enough on his plate already without worrying about what I have stored for survival. If the military storms your house and takes what you have, there isn't a lot you can do about it. Although you can look for lots of Ruby Ridges and Wacos to happen all over the country if they do. I have more faith in the regular people in the Guard, regular military and even the alphabet agencies. The top people may be part of the Cabal but I don't believe most of the rank and file are. I believe these people will remember that they have friends and family too. And they took an oath to protect the Constitution and all enemies foreign and domestic. And when push comes to shove I believe they will know where their best chances of survival are. And it isn't with the people who set this system up to fail in the first place.
Yes, I know what happened during Katrina. But that was a warning to the population not to be so complacent and to the Guard/military not to let themselves be used by TPTB. Local law enforcement will have to decide at that time if they will also honor their oath of service or allow themselves to be used as hammers on the people they swore to protect and defend. If you have a constitutional sheriff, back him and his deputies up fully. They will be your first line of defense when things get ugly.
I believe we can come through a crash and rebuild but the trick is to survive the disaster in the first place and be as comfortable as possible during the worst time. Good luck and get to brainstorming.

Obama commutes sentences of 22 drugs offenders

Obama commutes sentences of 22 drugs offenders because if they had been convicted today they would be facing shorter term

  • Eight of the prisoners granted clemency are serving terms of life in prison
  • They were jailed for crimes including cocaine, meth and heroin distribution
  • The effort targeted sentences handed down under outdated guidelines
  • Obama has approved 43 commutations in six years in office

President Barack Obama has ordered the release of 22 drug dealers - including eight who were serving life sentences.
Nearly all of the offenders who Obama granted clemency to were convicted of dealing addictive, hard drugs like crack cocaine, methamphetamine and heroin.
Eight of those whose sentences were commuted - an act the White House said continues Obama's push to make the justice system fairer - were serving terms of life in prison.
The effort is aimed at reducing harsh sentences for those who faced outdated guidelines at their time of sentencing and would be serving shorter punishments had they been convicted today.

In December, Mr Obama issued his first round of commutations under new guidelines that were put in place to cut costs by reducing the growing prison population and grant leniency to nonviolent drug offenders sentenced to years long terms of confinement away from society.
A commutation leaves the conviction in place and ends the punishment.
Neil Eggleston, the White House counsel, said many of the 22 people whose federal sentences will be cut short by Mr Obama's action would already have served their time and paid the debt they owed society had they been sentenced under current laws and policies.
'Because many were convicted under an outdated sentencing regime, they served years - in some cases more than a decade - longer than individuals convicted today of the same crime,' Mr Eggleston said in a post on the White House blog.
The 22 individuals, whose punishments will expire on July 28, were sentenced between 1992 and 2006.
Mr Eggleston said Tuesday's commutations underscore Obama's 'commitment to using all the tools at his disposal to bring greater fairness and equity to our justice system.'
Mr Obama has now approved a total of 43 commutations during more than six years in office.
Mr Eggleston noted that Obama's predecessor, George W. Bush, had commuted 11 sentences during his two terms.

In a letter, the president urged each individual to take advantage of the second chance he is giving them. The White House said it was the first time Obama had sent such letters.
'I am granting your application because you have demonstrated the potential to turn your life around. Now it is up to you to make the most of this opportunity,' he wrote.
'It will not be easy, and you will confront many who doubt people with criminal records can change. Perhaps even you are unsure of how you will adjust to your new circumstances.
'But remember that you have the capacity to make good choices,' Obama said.
The nonprofit Drug Policy Alliance, which advocates for less stringent drug sentences, praised the commutations. 'The president's actions today are welcome,' said Michael Collins, policy manager at DPA's office of national affairs.
He called on Congress to 'act quickly on substantive sentencing reform,' adding, 'It's time to rectify the U.S.'s embarrassing record on mass incarceration.'

NSA Signals Intelligence Use of EMF Brain Stimulation

source

NSA Signals Intelligence uses EMF Brain Stimulation for Remote Neural Monitoring (RNM) and Electronic Brain Link (EBL). EMF Brain Stimulation has been in development since the MKUltra program of the early 1950′s, which included neurological research into “radiation” (non-ionizing EMF) and bioelectric research and development. The resulting secret technology is categorized at the National Security Archives as “Radiation Intelligence,” defined as “information from unintentionally emanated electromagnetic waves in the environment, not including radioactivity or nuclear detonation.” Signals Intelligence implemented and kept this technology secret in the same manner as other electronic warfare programs of the U.S. government. The NSA monitors available information about this technology and withholds scientific research from the public. There are also international intelligence agency agreements to keep this technology secret. The NSA has proprietary electronic equipment that analyzes electrical activity in humans from a distance. NSA computer-generated brain mapping can continuously monitor all the electrical activity in die brain continuously. The NSA records aid decodes individual brain maps (of hundreds of thousands of persons) for national security purposes. EMF Brain Stimulation is also secretly used by the military for Brain-to-computer link. (In military fighter aircraft, for example.) For electronic surveillance purposes electrical activity in the speech center of the brain can be translated into the subject’s verbal thoughts. RNM can send encoded signals to the brain’s auditory cortex thus allowing audio communication direct to the brain (bypassing the ears). NSA operatives can use this to covertly debilitate subjects by simulating auditory hallucinations characteristic of paranoid schizophrenia. Without any contact with the subject, Remote Neural Monitoring can map out electrical activity from the visual cortex of a subject’s brain and show images from the subject’s brain on a video monitor. NSA operatives see what the surveillance subject’s eyes are seeing. Visual memory can also be seen. RNM can send images direct to the visual cortex. bypassing the eyes and optic nerves. NSA operatives can use this to surreptitiously put images in a surveillance subject’s brain while they are in R.E.M. sleep for brain-programming purposes.

Capabilities of NSA operatives using RNM

There has been a Signals Intelligence network in the U.S. since the 1940′s. The NSA, Ft. Meade has in place a vast two-way wireless RNM system which is used to track subjects and non-invasively monitor audio-visual information in their brain. This is all done with no physical contact with the subject. RNM is the ultimate method of surveillance and domestic intelligence. Speech and 3D sound, and subliminal audio can be sent to the auditory cortex of the subject’s brain (bypassing the ears) and images can be sent into the visual cortex. RNM can alter a subject’s perceptions, moods, and motor control. Speech cortex/auditory cortex link has become the ultimate communications system for the intelligence community. RNM allows for a complete audio-visual brain-to-brain link or brain-to-computer link.

National Security Agency Signals Intelligence Electronic Brain Link Technology

NSA SigInt can remotely detect, identify and monitor a person’s bioelectric fields. The NSA’s Signals Intelligence has the proprietary ability to remotely and non-invasively monitor information in the human brain by digitally decoding the evoked potentials in the 30-50 hz, .5 milliwatt electro-magnetic emissions from the brain. Neuronal activity in the brain creates a shifting electrical pattern that has a shifting magnetic flux. This magnetic flux puts out a constant 30-50 hz, .5 milliwatt electromagnetic (EMF) wave. Contained in the electromagnetic emission from the brain are spikes and patterns called “evoked potentials.” Every thought, reaction, motor command, auditory event, and visual image in the brain has a corresponding “evoked potential” or set of “evoked potentials.” The EMF emission from the brain can be decoded into the current thoughts, images and sounds in the subject’s brain. NSA SigInt uses EMF-transmitted Brain Stimulation as a communications system to transmit information (as well as nervous system messages) to intelligence agents and also to transmit to the brains of covert operations subjects (on a non-perceptible level). EMF Brain Stimulation works by sending a complexly coded and pulsed electromagnetic signal to trigger evoked potentials (events) in the brain, thereby forming sound and visual images in the brain’s neural circuits. EMF Brain Stimulation can also change a person’s brain-states and affect motor control. Two-way Electronic Brain-Link is done by remotely monitoring neural audio-visual information while transmitting sound to the auditory cortex (bypassing the ears) and transmitting faint images to the visual cortex (bypassing the optic nerves and eyes, the images appear as floating 2-D screens in the brain). Two-Way Electronic Brain Link has become the ultimate communications system for CIA/NSA personnel. Remote Neural Monitoring (RNM, remotely monitoring bioelectric information in the human brain) has become the ultimate surveillance system. It is used by a limited number of agents in the U.S. Intelligence Community. RNM requires decoding the resonance frequency of each specific brain area. That frequency is then modulated in order to impose information in That specific brain area. The frequency to which the various brain areas respond varies from 3 Hz to 50 Hz. Only NSA Signals Intelligence modulates signals in this frequency band.   MORE
