AT LEAST SOMEONE CAN RIDE INTO D.C. WITH PRIDE!

I can’t think of anyone in recent history that has made my skin crawl as much, or anyone who has made me feel greasy just at the sound of their voice, as Barrack Obama does. The man (term used loosely) is the President of the United States, and does not have a “smidgen” of integrity anywhere in his body. The same goes for no bravery, no honor, no truth, and most obvious: NO SHAME. The veterans “are one of the causes of his presidency…”

REMEMBER THAT? OH, MORE LIES AGAIN...

The lies are disgusting. They are never ending, and they know no bounds. Obama is the type of sociopath that will tell a lie when telling the truth is just as easy. TAKE THE LAST STATE OF THE UNION SPEECH OBAMA GAVE; there LITERALLY was hardly even a single full sentence that was 100% true. I'm not kidding. Liberals think Obama is some “Yoda” of politicians or something, when in reality he is more like the  swamp scum on Yoda’s home planet. Obama is an AWFUL politician, and he is surrounded by nothing but political hacks for his closest advisors. You know why I say that?

ALL OF TEAM “O” is so pathetic, they have YET to win even ONE argument fairly.  They can’t do ANYTHING out in the sunlight. Everything is in dark back room deals, lies to the public, finding ways to circumvent laws, etc. Every initiative Obama has started has been predicated on pure lies. Anyone with an IQ over 6 usually sees through all of it pretty quick, but that leaves out all the liberals. WHY? Why all the lies, why the corruption, why all the cover-ups, for what? WHY? Because Team O cannot register a single lonely “1” on the scoreboard for debates won honestly and fairly, and they are THAT DESPERATE for their "1." That means that either all of Crime Inc. are dumb as bricks, which I don’t think is the case, or they have ZERO TALENT in the art of being SKILLED politicians.

Instead of HONESTLY presenting his case before Congress or We the People, and trying to win us over the way any real “WINNER” would, Obama hides behind back room deals, photo-ops, canned responses, a teleprompter, or whatever else it takes to be able to put a "W" in the WIN column. How pathetic is that? Every time Obama speaks, while he spews his lies seemingly without end, his UTTER LACK OF TALENT is on full display. A “SKILLED” politician has the ability to “MOVE” people from the very core of who they are. Obama knows it, you know it, I know it, and 300 million Americans know it. Since neither Obama or anyone else that is a “MADE” member of Crime Inc. has the ability to come close to moving anyone, they LIE their you know what’s off. I believe the word for such a bureaucrat is a “Political Hack.”

Deep down, Obama, Holder, Jay Carney, Susan Rice, all of them… they all know in their heart of hearts they could not persuade a starving man to eat a New York Strip Steak, much less persuade the American people on any meaningful topic with the truth of their ideology. Furthermore, Obama and Crime Inc. are SO bitter about their lack of talent, just like petulant children, they throw temper tantrums about race or the GOP to hide their own shortcomings. Again, it's just sad.

Listen to Obama in the video below. It is SICKENING that they are trying to take $10 BILLION from veterans.
Obama’s latest budget tries to snatch the $10 BILLION allocated for the Choice program and allow it to be spent however VA top administrators want. It’s a sickening betrayal.

“Obama Cares” alright. Obama cares about OBAMA... no more. Listen to this garbage:

Rolling Thunder has much more to offer than motorcycles on Memorial Day: The nonprofit group provides year-round aid to veterans and their families to help pay for meals, mortgages and other bills to prevent homelessness.

The group’s officials say their charity work has become even more necessary because budget cuts in the Department of Veterans Affairs have limited the agency’s resources and benefits to those who have served their country.

“We should help our own people first. You’re [the VA] telling us you want to help [veterans], and then at the same time you’re making them homeless [with budget cuts]?” said Artie Muller, executive director of Rolling Thunder Inc. “We need to have a fund in the VA as a resource.”

Rolling Thunder, among other advocacy groups, promoted the Missing Service Personnel Act of 1995, which requires military authorities to investigate the circumstances of prisoners of war and troops missing in action and allow their families to review those investigations — an outgrowth of the organization’s efforts to raise awareness of POW/MIA issues since its founding in 1987.

“We never thought this event would last all these years, but we haven’t gotten anyone back from Vietnam alive. The government needs to do everything they can to find out if a person is alive or dead,” said Mr. Muller, himself a Vietnam War veteran.

When thousands of motorcyclists rumble into the D.C. area this weekend for Rolling Thunder’s 28th annual Ride for Freedom, they will be demonstrating their commitment to help veterans and to account for missing soldiers from past and current wars.

Though the POW/MIA group was named after a U.S. bombing campaign during the Vietnam War, motorcycles in the yearly ride create a roaring, thunderous sound, organizers say.

“When the Harleys fire up, you’d think a B-52 raid is going on,” Mr. Muller said, referring to the Air Force’s strategic bomber.

This year’s events include a candlelight vigil Friday evening at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and a daylong barbecue Saturday at Fort Washington. Emotions typically range from joy in seeing old comrades to heartache in missing lost soldiers.

“It’s not just a barbecue; it’s about our veterans. This is Memorial Day,” said Nancy Regg, Rolling Thunder’s national spokeswoman. “I’ve been doing this for 19 years, and I still cry at least once. Yes, we have a good time, but there are a lot of people reuniting and getting the welcome home they never got, especially those from Vietnam. This is a brotherhood and a sisterhood. We are family.”

To complete the Memorial Day weekend of events honoring veterans, the Ride for Freedom will leave the north parking lot of the Pentagon at noon Sunday and cruise around the area to demonstrate support for troops.

A speakers program at the Reflecting Pool across from the Lincoln Memorial is scheduled shortly after the ride and will include actor Robert Patrick of the CBS-TV series “Scorpion,” former Wisconsin Gov. Tommy G. Thompson and Lynn O’Shea, director of research for the National Alliance of Families.

A musical tribute after the speeches will feature Nancy Sinatra, Ben Mason, Sharon Lee Ruckle, the Sixth Generation, Rockie Lynne and the Loch Rannoch Pipes & Drums band.

Obama's attack dogs surrender to Drudge

May 21, 2015
The Federal Election Commission has backed off its plans to regulate political content on the Internet in the face of mounting criticism after it suggested that online political activity should be regulated.
The FEC on Thursday rejected talk of new rules, a victory for GOP commissioners who feared Democrats were targeting conservative sites like the Drudge Report and Sean Hannity.
During a public meeting, Democrats on the FEC said they were responding to the public outcry in saying that no new rules are required, the Washington Examiner reported in a column by Paul Bedard.
Democratic Commissioner Ellen Weintraub said the FEC received approximately 5,000 comments demanding the agency keep its hands off the Internet, Bedard reported. In response, she proposed a resolution that directly barred Internet regulation.
“I wanted to make clear that I was listening to what people are saying out there, and I think we should allay those concerns if people are concerned that we are about to do that,” she said. Her May 18 resolution said: “I further move that the Commission direct [counsel] to exclude from the rulemaking any proposal affecting political activity on the Internet.”
Republican commissioners had raised concerns that Democrats on the commission were targeting conservative political and news websites like Drudge, and could regulate them.
Weintraub denied she ever wanted to “regulate the Internet” but was merely trying to provide more “transparency” in political fundraising covered by a recent Supreme Court case in which the court struck down contribution limits. The ruling led some, such as U.S. News and World Report, to declare that the U.S. had entered the “Wild West” of unlimited political donations.
But public comments on the plan, she said, brought home two clear messages: “There was a strong message that we not regulate the Internet, and there was an even stronger message in terms of number of people who bother to comment, who said do something about disclosure.”
A total of about 32,000 comments were received.
FEC Chair Ann M. Ravel, pushing for new disclosure regulations, added that the agency should make clear it won’t touch the Internet.
“There is no such regulation, and it should not – we can say it clearly here, in this motion,” she said.
The FEC deadlocked 3-3 and did not approve the resolution, but comments by Democrats appeared to stymie, at least for now, any attempts by the agency to regulate the online world.
Republican Commissioner Lee Goodman told Bedard, “We have now won this debate, and that’s good for the American people and the Internet.”
Goodman had pushed a bid to “clarify” the regulations on Internet political activity, but Democrats ignored him.
“I’m asking is to clarify existing freedoms,” said Goodman.
Under current rules, political activity on the web is allowed, but paid political advertising is regulated. There have been questions about groups that promote causes or candidates, but not through advertising. Even endorsements by news organizations have been questioned.
Republicans rejected the Democratic motion, believing new regulations weren’t required.

U.S. Department of Justice Ignores Citigroup’s Criminal Record

Assistant-Attorney-General-Leslie-Caldwell-Speaking-at-Press-Conference-May-20-2015
Assistant Attorney General, Leslie Caldwell, Speaking at Press Conference May 20, 2015
When the U.S. Department of Justice held its press conference on Wednesday to announce that five mega banks were each pleading guilty to a felony charge, paying big fines and being put on probation for three years, Assistant U.S. Attorney General Leslie Caldwell specifically took a battering ram to the reputation of Swiss bank, UBS.
Four banks — Citicorp, a unit of Citigroup, JPMorgan Chase & Co., Royal Bank of Scotland and Barclays — pleaded guilty to an antitrust charge of conspiring to rig foreign currency trading while UBS pleaded guilty to one count of wire fraud for its earlier involvement in rigging the interest rate benchmark, Libor.
In explaining why the Justice Department was ripping up the non-prosecution agreement it had negotiated with UBS in December 2012 over its involvement in the Libor fraud and now charging it with a felony, Caldwell delivered a scathing attack on UBS, stating:
“Perhaps most significantly, UBS has a ‘rap sheet’ that cannot be ignored. Within the past six years, the department has resolved criminal investigations of UBS three times, resulting in non-prosecution or deferred prosecution agreements. UBS also has entered into civil and regulatory settlements on multiple occasions within the past few years.  Enough is enough.”
Enough is apparently not enough, however, when it comes to serial banking tyrants based in the U.S. Not only does Citigroup have a monster rap sheet that keeps growing, but it’s the bank that contributed significantly to the U.S. financial collapse in 2008 and received the largest taxpayer bailout in U.S. history: $45 billion in equity infusions, over $300 billion in asset guarantees, and over $2 trillion in low-cost loans from the Federal Reserve.
In last month’s Harper’s Magazine, Andrew Cockburn took an in-depth look at Citigroup’s history of hubris, including the crime supermarket that Sandy Weill created with the merger of Travelers Group and Citicorp to form Citigroup in 1998. Cockburn writes:
“Under Weill, however, the merged firm set new records for reckless gambles and fraud. It was Citigroup that helped to cook Enron’s books, disguising $4 billion worth of loans on the balance sheet as operating cash flow. Citigroup’s executives apparently understood what they were doing, but carried on regardless—the payoff being the $200 million in fees earned from the energy-trading firm before it collapsed amid bankruptcy and criminal charges. (As it turned out, crime did not pay, at least not for Citigroup’s stockholders, since the firm ended up shelling out $100 million in civil penalties to the SEC and $3.7 billion to settle claims by Enron investors.)

WUA - To Memorial Day...

WUA – To  Memorial Day…..

I’ve Never Thought About Memorial Day Like This…
The fact is that most people will not attend Memorial Day events this holiday weekend. Indeed, most Americans have little knowledge of, or connection to the Memorial day events. This is the first long weekend of the summer and most will be thinking of anything but Memorial Day. It is a reality that those who have served this country in uniform, and their families, are less that 1% of the American population. Most people today, even though we have been at war for the last 14 years, do not even know anyone who is serving, or who has served in our military. Most would not be able to tell you why we celebrate Memorial Day.

Echo Military Taps - HQ Recording and Moving Images

This coming weekend our cities will be decorated in bunting and the American flag will be flying along downtown streets all across America. There will be memorial ceremonies held at National Cemeteries, and small local cemeteries, where veterans are buried beneath broad, manicured grounds marked with long, regimented rows of white marker stones.

Some people will gather in those places of rest around the country to remember their own family members who died in service. Others will come to honor all who have served the nation in times of war and times of peace. The flag will be raised solemnly as the National Anthem is played or sung. The plangent, melancholy notes of “Taps” will waft over the silent grounds.   The old veterans in attendance will be recognized by their baseball hats emblazoned with military branch insignias, or with the names of the wars they were in. They will stand at awkward attention and salute at the raising of the flag, or during the playing of “Taps.” Their eyes and cheeks may be moist with tears, because they will be remembering fallen brothers and sisters in ways most can not imagine.

Why, then, should we all remember?

It is not wars that we are remembering with this national holiday. Rather, we are remembering those who served and those who gave their last full measure of devotion in order to insure that the freedoms that this country offers to all would be able to be passed on to the next generations. We remember them because they tell us something of our human dignity. They remind us of the cost of freedom and of the quality of our character as a nation. We do not gather on this holiday to glorify wars. Rather, we are challenged to remember that when war comes unbidden to us, there are those who are willing to give their all to defend this nation. Deep down we want to remember in the hope that we will find ways to prevent wars and never again have to fight them again. There is, among veterans, no more hoped for desire than the desire that their own sons and daughters will never have to suffer the terrors of war, or the effects of war.
All veterans hope and pray that their war will be the last war.
History
Memorial Day remembrances go back to the Civil War. They were originally called “Decoration Day” and were created out of a desire to honor those who had fallen. It was officially proclaimed on the 5th of May, 1868 by General John Logan, the then commander of the Army of the Republic, in his General Order No. 11. It read: “The 30th of May, 1868, is designated for the purpose of strewing with flowers, or otherwise decorating the graves of comrades who died in defense of their country during the late rebellion, and whose bodies now lie in almost every city, village and hamlet churchyard in the land.”  That particular date, May 30, was chosen because it wasn’t the anniversary of any particular battle.
In December of 2000 a resolution was passed in Congress calling on all Americans to observe a National Moment of Remembrance at 3:00 p.m. local time. We are asked “to voluntarily and informally observe in our own ways a moment of remembrance and respect, pausing from whatever [we] are doing for a moment of silence or listening to the playing of ‘Taps.'”

Description: Memorial-Tribute-alt

We here at The Veterans Site encourage all to attend your local Memorial Day events. If you are unable to do so, we encourage you to observe the “Moment of Remembrance” this Memorial Day by yourselves, or with those you might be with at that time. Share this post on Facebook to encourage your friends and families as well. It would be a great way to teach the young of the importance of remembering those who have sacrificed so much in service to this county. It is their sacrifices that have protected and defended all of the freedoms and privileges we enjoy as American citizens.
Why should we remember?
We should remember because a nation that cannot, or that will not, remember its past will suffer a far more perilous future.
Thanks Ronald

Liquid Fluoride Thorium Reactors in 5 Minutes

Liquid Fluoride
Thorium Reactors
in 5 Minutes

The administrator of Oak Ridge National
Laboratory during the Manhattan
Project, Alvin Weinberg, evangelized the
use of reactors running on molten salts
like liquid thorium. According to Wired
magazine, Admiral Hyman G. Rickover,
the father of the nuclear Navy who
favored uranium fuel for its use in
making warheads, helped force out
Weinberg and the scientist's dream of
clean, safe nuclear energy. Kirk
Sorenson explains the workings of liquid

finally picking up steam following
decades of alleged arms-industry
suppression.
