Separatists Claim Texas Never Joined United States

SECEDE?  'SEPARATISTS' CLAIM TEXAS NEVER JOINED THE UNITED STATES (USA CORPORATION)

HOUSTON — The Republic of Texas is unlike any other volunteer organization in what used to be the Republic of Texas.
Its monthly meetings are called joint sessions of congress. Members have minted their own silver and gold currency and carry ID cards warning police officers they are diplomatic representatives of the nation of Texas. Its vice president, a retired telephone company worker, sent a letter in 2011 to the governor of Oklahoma, informing her that she faced indictment because her state’s counties and territories were “trespassing inside the geographical boundaries” of the nation.
Such letters have failed to convince the authorities of the group’s novel belief — that Texas never legally became part of the United States and remains a separate nation. As a result of that belief, the group claims it had a duty to form a government, with a state department and with a court system run in part by a chiropractor in the Houston suburb of Katy.
Members say their government is neither a mock system nor a prank, but a legitimate authority with executive, legislative and judicial branches. They spend their time sitting through eight-hour congressional meetings and debating legislation. (The letter to Oklahoma refers to Senate Bill No. 1102-1201.) Still, officials who receive one of the group’s many letters typically “just throw it in the trash can,” acknowledged the Republic’s president, John Jarnecke, 72.

Until last month.
The group’s Valentine’s Day meeting in Bryan had barely started at a Veterans of Foreign Wars hall — each woman in the audience had been handed a rose — when several local, state and federal law enforcement officials burst through the door. No one was arrested in the raid, which included F.B.I. agents, but dozens of the group’s supporters were detained. Some were fingerprinted, and cellphones and briefcases were confiscated from others.
The authorities said the raid was part of an investigation into a batch of letters the Republic of Texas had sent to a judge and a lawyer in Kerrville, Tex. They noted that those with ties to the group have taken their nationalist beliefs to violent extremes in the past, including a seven-day standoff with the authorities in 1997 that ended with a gun battle in which one group member was killed. The group’s leaders said that officials behind the recent raid had overreacted with a show of force and that the letters were lawful.

The Republic had ordered the judge in Kerrville to appear at the V.F.W. hall for a “court hearing” involving his role in the pending foreclosure of a member’s home. Two letters to the judge ordered him to present “proof of his authority for executing his claimed powers involving a foreign entity” and warned him that copies might be provided to the United Nations. The lawyer was sent a “subpoena.”
After the raid, the V.F.W. hall prohibited the group from meeting there again, so the Republic’s next congressional session will be held at Ace Buffet and Grill in Waco.
“They came in looking like John Dillinger and the gang were hiding out,” said Dave Kroupa, the Katy chiropractor who signed the letters to the judge as chief justice of the Republic’s international common law court. “The ladies were armed with roses. The most confusing thing I ever witnessed was this silly raid in 59 years of my life.”

The disruption of the meeting has given the group a boost in publicity and support. It also provided a glimpse into the Republic’s political alternate reality and the radical and not-so-radical views of its supporters. Some have had violent confrontations with the authorities, and some are retirees more interested in the minutiae of the establishment of Texas as a country from 1836-45 than in overthrowing the government.
“They’re a harmless, clueless and interesting group of generally nice older guys with too much time on their hands,” said Jerry Patterson, a former Texas land commissioner, who recalled receiving Republic letters demanding he vacate the office. “Certainly law enforcement has something else to do. They have never tried to enforce their demands beyond writing amusing letters.”
The sheriff of Kerr County, Rusty Hierholzer, who led the raid and execution of the search warrant last month, said the letters appeared to violate a state law that prohibits delivery of documents that simulate a summons or other court process. The large contingent of officers, he said, was necessary because of the group’s history.
(common law procedures are refused - only the maritime law of the sea courts and procedures are acceptable in the corporation states)

In 1997, the group’s leader at the time, Richard L. McLaren, and his supporters abducted a West Texas couple and held them hostage, leading to the standoff. A member of the group was shot and killed in the gun battle. Mr. McLaren surrendered and remains in state prison. Other members have been charged over the years with assault, forgery, the impersonation of an officer and, in a 1998 federal case, threats to use a weapon of mass destruction.
“I don’t have a problem with this group, but when they do things that violate the laws of this state, then I have to take action,” Sheriff Hierholzer said. “If I had just sent one officer to this meeting, to execute that warrant, I have a serious concern as to how safe my officer would’ve been.
“You look at Waco, Timothy McVeigh, some of this ‘sovereign citizen’ stuff,” he added, referring to the 1993 F.B.I. assault on the Branch Davidian compound in Waco and the terrorist who was executed for detonating a truck bomb in Oklahoma City in 1995. “There’s radicals in everything we do. It’s the radicals that I’m concerned about.”
The Republic of Texas leaders say they have no ties to Mr. McLaren, and some have apparently joined in recent years as the Texas secession movement has grown. In last year’s Republican primary for governor, a secessionist who changed his middle name to reflect his cause, Larry Secede Kilgore, received 19,055 votes.
The Republic’s president, Mr. Jarnecke, who runs a construction business in Fredericksburg, said it was inaccurate to call the members secessionists. “We in the Republic do not need to secede, because we never ceded it to them to start with.”
The raid had one other effect: generating more letters.
Paul Robert Andrus, who was among those detained, filed documents accusing the sheriff’s lead investigator of “trespass upon liberty.” He demanded $3 million in gold, money order “or any combination necessary thereof.”

Thomas Jefferson  knew because he himself studied the previous failed attempts at government.
He understood actual history, the nature of God, His laws and the nature of man. That happens to be way more than what most understand  today.

Jefferson really knew his stuff.
A voice from the past to lead us in the future:

John F. Kennedy
held a dinner in the White House for a group of the brightest minds in the nation at that time. He made this statement:
"This is perhaps the assembly of the most intelligence ever to gather at one time in the White House with the exception of when Thomas Jefferson dined alone."

Thomas Jefferson said in 1802 :
"I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies.
If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property - until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers  conquered."

The Prophecy About The Coming Of ISIS. Americans Must Arm Themselves To The Teeth.

By Walid Shoebat

Most whom I discuss Islam with, do not understand its complexities and confusions.
Most critics of Islam speak more about the violence and the Sharia. Islam is much more than this, since it was authored by the author of confusion, the devil. It has prophecies meant to confuse the ardent skeptic. For example, Hamza Yusuf, a Muslim scholar condemns ISIS and speaks of Islamic prophecies which condemn ISIS as evil:

The simpleton will say “wow”, here we have a peaceful Muslim giving prophecies where Ali, Muhammad’s nephew, supposedly predicted the coming of ISIS. When ISIS comes, Islam predicts, that Muslims are ordered “to remain in their homes” and “shut the doors”. Islam describes ISIS as “their hearts are like iron” “they will not keep covenants” “their members will not go by their real names and instead use their nicknames and pseudonyms” “they have long hair like women” “they are Arabs” “there will be a smoke” …
The precise predictions seem to give evidence according to Hamza, that the ISIS phenomenon was predicted by Islam and goes contrary to true Islam.
But will such heretics who supposedly left Christianity to Islam, be any match to Muslim converts to Christianity when it comes to understanding Prophecy? I challenge this heretic anytime.
Most who see Hamza think he is definitely some Arab scholar. Fact is, Hamza, who says that the sign of evil ISIS, is that their members do not go by their real name, while Hamza himself is pure bread American born “Mark Hanson” and not “Hamza Yusuf”. In this, he fits the very bill he says that Islam predicted about ISIS will change their names and Hamza has been known to support Jihad warfare, but not the style ISIS advocates.
Hamza was born in Washington State and raised in Northern California. He grew up a practicing Greek Orthodox Christian and attended prep schools on both the east and west coasts. He was first influenced by the Sufi brand of Islam and was taught by Abdalqadir as-Sufi, another who does not go by their real name,  – a Scottish convert to Islam and leader of the Darqawa Sufi order and the Murabitun World Movement.  Yusuf moved to Norwich, England to study directly under as-Sufi. In 1977, after a near-death experience and reading the Qur’an, he converted to Islam from Christianity.
Being as wise as a serpent, as Jesus commanded, I am not amused, the prophecy which Hamza quotes, ordering Muslims to stay in their homes and shut the doors, the devils of Islam stole from the Bible:
“Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast. For, behold, the LORD cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.” (Isaiah 26:20-21)
When Christ comes, there will be such a calamity, that Christians will shut their doors and their windows,  that perhaps the oxygen in the atmosphere will deplete that anyone outside will die and who remains indoors will live from the oxygen that remains sealed indoors. A few hours and everyone outside will perish. This is a parallel to the prophecy in the times of Moses in Egypt when God ordered the Israelites to remain indoors and post the mark of the Cross on the door posts, header and lintel, using the blood of lambs to point where our Lord was to be wounded on his forehead, hands and feet.
passover3
The Islamic predictions of ISIS with “men with hair of women” and “hearts of iron” is also stolen from the Bible: “They had hair like the hair of women, and their teeth were like the teeth of lions.” (Revelation 9:8)
Hamza admits that Muhammad himself had long hair like women. Muhammad braided his hair and even put mascara like women.
Not trusting ISIS in any covenant, as Hamza mentions, is easily extracted from the spirit of Antichrist who will break his covenant of peace (Daniel 9:27). The “Dakhan” (smoke) which the video incorrectly translated as “cloud” also stems from the same chapter in Revelation 9:2-3:
When he opened the Abyss, smoke rose from it like the smoke from a gigantic furnace. The sun and sky were darkened by the smoke from the Abyss. And out of the smoke locusts came down on the earth and were given power like that of scorpions of the earth
The black flags is also stolen from the Bible where John predicted the black horse (Revelation 6:4).  Hamza now says that this is an a evil sign according to Islam while other Hadiths says quite the opposite: “Armies carrying black flags will come from Khurasan. No power will be able to stop them and they will finally reach Eela (Jerusalem) where they will erect their flags.” (1) Abdul Rahman al-Wahabi in the The Day of Wrath states: “The final battle will be waged by Muslim faithfuls coming on the backs of horses…carrying black banners. They will stand on the East side of the Jordan River and will wage war that the earth has never seen before. The true Messiah who is the Islamic Mahdi will defeat Europe, will lead this army of Seljuks [Turks]. He will preside over the world from Jerusalem because Mecca would have been destroyed.” (2)
Black-Flags
The Seljuk Empire consisted of Turks that preceded the Ottoman Empire. It covered the region of Turkey, Northern Iran, Syria, Iraq, Southern Caucasus, and Azerbaijan. Many Islamic scholars believe that the Mahdi will lead an army of Turks and will rule over Israel. But even all this was already predicted in the Bible (See God’s War on Terror, Islam Prophecy and The Bible).
Expounding on the tradition of the black banners, the so-called “moderate” Sheikh Kabbani, the darling of many conservative Americans, states that the armies will come from the region of Iran: “Hadith indicate that black flags coming from the area of Khorasan [Iran] will signify [that] the appearance of the Mahdi is nigh. Khorasan is in today’s Iran, and some scholars have said that this Hadith means when the black flags appear from Cen- tral Asia, i.e., in the direction of Khorasan (Iran), then the appearance of the Mahdi is imminent.” (3)
All this is now “bad” in the version of American Islam by Hamza?
These are masters of deception.
Such prophecies were robbed from the Bible to be applied to the ISIS phenomenon, a phenomenon which requires every American to be armed. America are the people of the gun, no one can match Americans when it comes to self-defense and no ISIS can match such abilities. ISIS released a video showing how they are now training their children to become assassins:

In order to fight what is coming from ISIS, every American must begin to learn their Bibles and keep up on how to fire their weapons with speed and accuracy. Aim small miss small and love your gun.
But what match is ISIS to Americans? What I love about America is their love for the gun. Who in ISIS can match Jerry Miculek:

Or who can match Bob Munden:

If ISIS has guts, have them send their Baghdadi (Bag-Dadi) to meet Munden. Their Daddy man will be sent back in a body bag while the Muslims will cry Bag-Daddy instead of Allahu Akbar.
O how the world digresses before the coming of our Lord. Today we have Muslims and three hundred and sixty five days of gays.
I just yearn for the good old days when music was music:

Marine in Afghanistan

The Real Afghanistan

*A very interesting read, a Marine's View of what is really going on. This young man is articulate and has a flare for colorful language, and descriptive prose.....Scorpions, Chiggers & Sand Fleas/great letter, a must read of a very interesting article. *

From a Recon Marine in Afghanistan
From the Sand Pit:

It's freezing here. I'm sitting on hard cold dirt between rocks and shrubs at the base of the Hindu Kush Mountains, along the Dar'yoi Pamir River, watching a hole that leads to a tunnel that leads to a cave.

Stake out, my friend, and no pizza delivery for thousands of miles.

I also glance at the area around my ass every ten to fifteen seconds to avoid another scorpion sting. I've actually given up battling the chiggers and sand fleas, but the scorpions give a jolt like a cattle prod. Hurts
like a bastard. The antidote tastes like transmission fluid, but God bless the Marine Corps for the five vials of it in my pack. The one truth the Taliban cannot escape is that, believe it or not, they are human beings, which means they have to eat food and drink water. That requires couriers and that's where an old bounty hunter like me comes in handy.

I track the couriers, locate the tunnel entrances and storage facilities, type the info into the handheld, and shoot the coordinates up to the satellite link that tells the air commanders where to drop the hardware. We bash some heads for a while, and then I track and record the new movement. It's all about intelligence. We haven't even brought in the snipers yet. These scurrying rats have no idea what they're in for. We are but days away from cutting off supply lines and allowing the eradication to begin. But you know me; I'm a romantic. I've said it before and I'll say it again: This country blows, man. It's not even a country.

There are no roads, there's no infrastructure, there's no government.

This is an inhospitable, rock pit shit hole ruled by eleventh century warring tribes. There are no jobs here like we know jobs. Afghanistan offers two ways for a man to support his family, join the opium trade or join the army. That's it. Those are your options. Oh, I forgot, you can also live in a refugee camp and eat plum-sweetened, crushed beetle paste and squirt mud like a goose with stomach flu, if that's your idea of a party. But the smell alone of those 'tent cities of the walking dead' is enough to hurl you into the poppy fields to cheerfully scrape bulbs for eighteen hours a day.

I've been living with these Tajiks and Uzbeks, and Turkmen and even a couple of Pashtu’s, for over a month-and-a-half now, and this much I can say for sure: These guys, are Huns....actual, living Huns. They LIVE to fight. It's what they do. It's ALL they do. They have no respect for anything, not for their families, nor for each other, nor for themselves.

They claw at one another as a way of life. They play polo with dead calves  and force their five-year-old sons into human cockfights to defend the family honor. Huns, roaming packs of savage, heartless beasts who feed on each other's barbarism. Cavemen with AK-47's. Then again, maybe I'm just cranky young bastard.

I'm freezing my ass off on this stupid hill because my lap warmer is running out of juice, and I can't recharge it until the sun comes up in a few hours.

Oh yeah! You like to write letters, right? Do me a favor, Bizarre. Write a letter to CNN and tell Wolf and Anderson and that awful, sneering, pompous Aaron Brown to stop calling the Taliban 'smart.' They are not
smart. I suggest CNN invest in a dictionary because the word they are looking for is 'cunning.' The Taliban are cunning, like jackals and hyenas and wolverines. They are sneaky and ruthless, and when confronted, cowardly. They are hateful, malevolent parasites who create nothing and destroy everything else. Smart! Bullshit! Yeah, they're real smart, they've spent their entire lives reading only one book (and not a very good    one, as books go) and consider hygiene and indoor plumbing to be products of the devil. They're still figuring out how to work a Bic lighter.
Talking to a Taliban warrior about improving his quality of life is like trying to teach an ape how to hold a pen, eventually he just gets frustrated and sticks you in the eye with it.

OK, enough. Snuffle will be up soon, so I have to get back to my hole.

Covering my tracks in the snow takes a lot of practice, but I'm good at it.

Please, I tell you and my fellow Americans to turn off the TV sets and move  on with your lives. The story line you are getting from CNN and other news agencies is utter bullshit and designed not to deliver truth but rather to keep you glued to the screen so you will watch the commercials. We've got this one under control. The worst thing you guys can do right now is sit  around analyzing what we're doing over here, because you have no idea what we're doing, and really, you don't want to know. We are your military, and we are only doing what you sent us here to do.

*From a Jack Recon Marine in Afghanistan.*

"Freedom is not free, but the U.S. Marine Corps will pay most of your share".

Send this to YOUR FRIENDS so that people there will really know what is
goingon over here.

GUN CONTROL FORBIDDEN...DICK ACT of 1902

 DICK ACT of 1902
CAN'T BE REPEALED (GUN CONTROL FORBIDDEN)

THE TRUMP CARD ENACTED BY CONGRESS FURTHER ASSERTING THE SECOND AMENDMENT AS UNTOUCHABLE

The Dick Act of 1902 also known as the Efficiency of Militia Bill H.R. 11654, of June 28, 1902 invalidates all so-called gun-control laws. It also divides the militia into three distinct and separate entities.
The three classes H.R. 11654 provides for are the organized militia, henceforth known as the National Guard of the State, Territory and District of Columbia, the unorganized militia and the regular army. The militia encompasses every able-bodied male between the ages of 18 and 45. All members of the unorganized militia have the absolute personal right and 2nd Amendment right to keep and bear arms of any type, and as many as they can afford to buy.
The Dick Act of 1902 cannot be repealed; to do so would violate bills of attainder and ex post facto laws which would be yet another gross violation of the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights. The President of the United States has zero authority without violating the Constitution to call the National Guard to serve outside of their State borders.
The National Guard Militia can only be required by the National Government for limited purposes specified in the Constitution (to uphold the laws of the Union; to suppress insurrection and repel invasion). These are the only purposes for which the General Government can call upon the National Guard.
Attorney General Wickersham advised President Taft, "the Organized Militia (the National Guard) can not be employed for offensive warfare outside the limits of the United States."
The Honorable William Gordon, in a speech to the House on Thursday, October 4, 1917, proved that the action of President Wilson in ordering the Organized Militia (the National Guard) to fight a war in Europe was so blatantly unconstitutional that he felt Wilson ought to have been impeached.
During the war with England an attempt was made by Congress to pass a bill authorizing the president to draft 100,000 men between the ages of 18 and 45 to invade enemy territory, Canada. The bill was defeated in the House by Daniel Webster on the precise point that Congress had no such power over the militia as to authorize it to empower the President to draft them into the regular army and send them out of the country.
The fact is that the President has no constitutional right, under any circumstances, to draft men from the militia to fight outside the borders of the USA, and not even beyond the borders of their respective states. Today, we have a constitutional LAW which still stands in waiting for the legislators to obey the Constitution which they swore an oath to uphold.
Charles Hughes of the American Bar Association (ABA) made a speech which is contained in the Appendix to Congressional Record, House, September 10, 1917, pages 6836-6840 which states: "The militia, within the meaning of these provisions of the Constitution is distinct from the Army of the United States." In these pages we also find a statement made by Daniel Webster, "that the great principle of the Constitution on that subject is that the militia is the militia of the States and of the General Government; and thus being the militia of the States, there is no part of the Constitution worded with greater care and with more scrupulous jealousy than that which grants and limits the power of Congress over it."
"This limitation upon the power to raise and support armies clearly establishes the intent and purpose of the framers of the Constitution to limit the power to raise and maintain a standing army to voluntary enlistment, because if the unlimited power to draft and conscript was intended to be conferred, it would have been a useless and puerile thing to limit the use of money for that purpose. Conscripted armies can be paid, but they are not required to be, and if it had been intended to confer the extraordinary power to draft the bodies of citizens and send them out of the country in direct conflict with the limitation upon the use of the militia imposed by the same section and article, certainly some restriction or limitation would have been imposed to restrain the unlimited use of such power."

International Growth Of Islam

INTERNATIONAL GROWTH OF ISLAM

HAJJ

Washington, D.C. -- The world's Muslim population is expected to increase by about 35 percent in the next 20 years, rising from 1.6 billion in 2010 to 2.2 billion by 2030, according to a new, comprehensive report released today by the Pew Research Center's Forum on Religion & Public Life on the size, distribution and growth of the Muslim population. The study is part of the Pew-Templeton Global Religious Futures project, an effort funded by The Pew Charitable Trusts and the John Templeton Foundation to analyze religious change and its impact on societies around the world.

Over the next two decades, the worldwide Muslim population is forecast to grow at about twice the rate of the non-Muslim population -- an average annual growth rate of 1.5 percent for Muslims compared with 0.7 percent for non-Muslims. If current trends continue, Muslims will make up 26.4 percent of the world's total projected population of 8.3 billion in 2030, up from 23.4 percent of the estimated 2010 world population of 6.9 billion.

However, while the global Muslim population is predicted to grow at a faster rate than the non-Muslim population, it is also expected to grow at a slower pace in the next 20 years than it did in the previous two decades. From 1990 to 2010, the global Muslim population increased at an average annual rate of 2.2 percent; for the period from 2010 to 2030, the rate of growth is projected to be 1.5 percent.

These are among the key findings of
The Future of the Global Muslim Population, which seeks to provide up-to-date estimates of the number of Muslims around the world in 2010 and to project the growth of the Muslim population from 2010 to 2030.

The report's projections are based both on past demographic trends and on assumptions about how these trends will play out in future years. If current trends continue:

Worldwide

· Seventy-nine countries will have a million or more Muslim inhabitants in 2030, up from 72 countries today.

· A majority of the world's Muslims (about 60 percent) will continue to live in the Asia-Pacific region, while about 20 percent will live in the Middle East and North Africa, as is the case today.

· Pakistan is expected to surpass Indonesia as the country with the single largest Muslim population.

· The portion of the world's Muslims living in sub-Saharan Africa is projected to rise; for example, in 20 years more Muslims are likely to live in Nigeria than in Egypt.

· Muslims will remain relatively small minorities in Europe and the Americas, but they are expected to constitute a growing share of the total population in these regions.

· Sunni Muslims will continue to make up an overwhelming majority of Muslims in 2030 (87 to 90 percent). The portion of the world's Muslims who are Shia may decline slightly, largely because of relatively low fertility in Iran, where more than a third of the world's Shia Muslims live.

· As of 2010, about three-quarters of the world's Muslims (74.1 percent) live in the 49 countries in which Muslims make up a majority of the population. More than a fifth of all Muslims (23.3 percent) live in non-Muslim-majority countries in the developing world. About 3 percent of the world's Muslims live in more-developed regions, such as Europe, North America, Australia, New Zealand and Japan.

The Americas

· The number of Muslims (adults and children) in the United States is projected to more than double -- rising from 2.6 million (0.8 percent of the total U.S. population) in 2010 to 6.2 million (1.7 percent) in 2030 -- in large part because of immigration and higher-than-average fertility among Muslims, making Muslims roughly as numerous as Jews or Episcopalians are in the U.S. today.

· Although several European countries will have substantially higher percentages of Muslims, the United States is projected to have a larger number of Muslims by 2030 than any European countries other than Russia and France.

· Children under age 15 make up a relatively small portion of the U.S. Muslim population today. Only 13.1 percent of Muslims are in the 0-14 age group. This reflects the fact that a large proportion of Muslims in the U.S. are newer immigrants who arrived as adults. But by 2030, many of these immigrants are expected to start families. If current trends continue, the number of U.S. Muslims under age 15 will more than triple, from fewer than 500,000 in 2010 to 1.8 million in 2030. The number of Muslim children ages 0-4 living in the U.S. is expected to increase from fewer than 200,000 in 2010 to more than 650,000 in 2030.

· About two-thirds of the Muslims in the U.S. today (64.5 percent) are first-generation immigrants (foreign-born), while slightly more than a third (35.5 percent) were born in the U.S. By 2030, however, more than four-in-ten of the Muslims in the U.S. (44.9 percent) are expected to be native-born.

· The top countries of origin for Muslim immigrants to the U.S. in 2009 were Pakistan and Bangladesh. They are expected to remain the top countries of origin for Muslim immigrants to the U.S. in 2030.

· The number of Muslims in Canada is expected to nearly triple in the next 20 years, from about 940,000 in 2010 to nearly 2.7 million in 2030. Muslims are expected to make up 6.6 percent of Canada's total population in 2030, up from 2.8 percent today. Argentina is expected to have the third-largest Muslim population in the Americas, after the U.S. and Canada. Argentina, with about 1 million Muslims in 2010, is now in second place, behind the U.S.

Europe

· The Muslim share of Europe's population is expected to grow by nearly a third, rising from 44.1 million (6 percent of Europe's total population) in 2010 to 58.2 million (8 percent) in 2030.

· The greatest increases -- driven primarily by continued migration -- are likely to occur in Western and Northern Europe, where Muslims will be approaching double-digit percentages of the population in several countries. In the United Kingdom, for example, Muslims are expected to comprise 8.2 percent of the population in 2030, up from an estimated 4.6 percent today. In Norway, Muslims are projected to reach 6.5 percent of the population in 2030, (up from 3.0 percent today); in Germany, 7.1 percent (up from 5.0 percent today); in Austria, 9.3 percent (up from 5.7 percent today); in Belgium, 10.2 percent (up from 6.0 percent today); and in France, 10.3 percent (up from 7.5 percent today).

· In 2030, Muslims are projected to make up more than 10 percent of the total population in 10 European countries: Kosovo (93.5 percent), Albania (83.2 percent), Bosnia-Herzegovina (42.7 percent), Republic of Macedonia (40.3 percent), Montenegro (21.5 percent), Bulgaria (15.7 percent), Russia (14.4 percent), Georgia (11.5 percent), France (10.3 percent) and Belgium (10.2 percent).

· Russia will continue to have the largest Muslim population (in absolute numbers) in Europe in 2030. Its Muslim population is expected to rise from 16.4 million in 2010 to 18.6 million in 2030. The growth rate for the Muslim population in Russia is projected to be 0.6 percent annually over the next two decades. By contrast, Russia's non-Muslim population is expected to shrink by an average of 0.6 percent annually over the same period.

· France had an expected net influx of 66,000 Muslim immigrants in 2010, primarily from North Africa. Muslims comprised an estimated two-thirds (68.5%) of all new immigrants to France in the past year. Spain was expected to see a net gain of 70,000 Muslim immigrants in 2010, but they account for a much smaller portion of all new immigrants to Spain (13.1%). The U.K.'s net inflow of Muslim immigrants in the past year (nearly 64,000) was forecast to be nearly as large as France's. More than a quarter (28.1%) of all new immigrants to the U.K. in 2010 are estimated to be Muslim.

Asia-Pacific

· Nearly three-in-ten people living in the Asia-Pacific region in 2030 (27.3 percent) will be Muslim, up from about a quarter in 2010 (24.8%) and roughly a fifth in 1990 (21.6 percent).

· Muslims make up only about 2 percent of the population in China, but because the country is so populous, its Muslim population is expected to be the 19th largest in the world in 2030.

Middle East-North Africa

· The Middle East-North Africa will continue to have the highest percentage of Muslim- majority countries. Of the 20 countries and territories in this region, all but Israel are projected to be at least 50 percent Muslim in 2030, and 17 are expected to have a population that is more than 75 percent Muslim in 2030, with Israel, Lebanon and Sudan (as currently demarcated) being the only exceptions.

· Nearly a quarter (23.2 percent) of Israel's population is expected to be Muslim in 2030, up from 17.7 percent in 2010 and 14.1 percent in 1990. During the past 20 years, the Muslim population in Israel has more than doubled, growing from 0.6 million in 1990 to 1.3 million in 2010. The Muslim population in Israel (including Jerusalem but not the West Bank and Gaza) is expected to reach 2.1 million by 2030.

· Egypt, Algeria and Morocco currently have the largest Muslim populations (in absolute numbers) in the Middle East-North Africa. By 2030, however, Iraq is expected to have the second-largest Muslim population in the region -- exceeded only by Egypt -- largely because Iraq has a higher fertility rate than Algeria or Morocco.

Sub-Saharan Africa

· The Muslim population in sub-Saharan Africa is projected to grow by nearly 60 percent in the next 20 years, from 242.5 million in 2010 to 385.9 million in 2030. Because the region's non-Muslim population also is growing at a rapid pace, Muslims are expected to make up only a slightly larger share of the region's population in 2030 (31 percent) than they do in 2010 (29.6 percent).

· Various surveys give differing figures for the size of religious groups in Nigeria, which appears to have roughly equal numbers of Muslims and Christians in 2010. By 2030, Nigeria is expected to have a slight Muslim majority (51.5 percent).

The 209-page report contains detailed analysis and description of the factors that drive this growth. The main factors, or inputs, in the population projections are: births (fertility rates), deaths (mortality rates), migration (emigration and immigration), and the age structure of the population (the number of people in various age groups). Related factors -- which are not direct inputs into the projections but which underlie vital assumptions about the way Muslim fertility rates are changing and Muslim populations are shifting -- include: education (particularly of women), economic well-being (standards of living), contraception and family planning, urbanization (movement from rural areas into cities and towns), and religious conversion.
The current population data that underpin this report were culled from the best sources available on Muslims in each of the 232 countries and territories for which the U.N. Population Division provides general population estimates. Many of these baseline statistics were published in the Pew Forum's 2009 report, Mapping the Global Muslim Population, which acquired and analyzed about 1,500 sources of data -- including census reports, large-scale demographic studies and general population surveys -- to estimate the number of Muslims in every country and territory. All of those estimates have been updated for 2010, and some have been substantially revised.
The full report, which includes an executive summary, interactive maps and sortable data tables, is available on the Pew Forum's website.
