Obama is an Economic Imbecile

Just a quick note on Obama's speech. Here is a portion of what he said:

'Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you've got a business - you didn't build that. Somebody else made that happen.

'The Internet didn't get invented on its own. Government research created the Internet so that all the companies could make money off the Internet.'

This quote right here shows how imbecilic Obama is with regards to how the economy works. Yes, "somebody" invested in those roads and bridges. It's called TAX DOLLARS. Who is that somebody that provided the tax dollars, tax payers. And who are the tax payers? Business! So, business are the ones that invested in those roads and bridges, NOT government. So a business owner not only invested and worked at building their own business, they also invested in the infrastructure that provided access.

Also, what's he talking about on the Internet. He's right, it didn't get invented on its own. Government DID create it. But they did NOT create it so companies could make money off of it. DARPA created ARPANET for the military. They created it so that they could have an interconnected network of computers to keep communications in case of a disaster. ARPANET went on to become the Internet. The only reason the Internet is the way it is now (HTTP and the World Wide Web) is because a frenchman had the idea to create links and images on a page that others could reference for research. None of this was initially intended as a for profit venture.

What Obama's speech over the weekend boils down to is his inability to understand that, in our economy, government does not create wealth. It takes wealth. It may create or destroy the ability for wealth generation by affecting the private industry, but government is a destroyer of wealth as it does not create anything.

One final note, Obama makes this statement:

'You didn't have to worry that marauding bands would come and seize everything at your factory, and hire someone to protect against this, because of the work the rest of us did.'

No, but we are now worried that a marauding band of IRS agents will come and seize everything at our factories. (Gibson Guitars)

I listened to your broadcast of Sunday, which got cut off, and I’ll listen to the conclusion of it, scheduled for tonight [July 16^th].

Since I heard you invite all awakened people (numbering in the millions) to consider your proposal, and I am one of those awakened people, I now have the authority to openly interject my commentary and question to you. Since it may not be possible to do so during your broadcast, this means of registering same will suffice.

The question is: Where’s the authority to make the arrests you advocate, or the authority to demand others do so?

The following is my commentary, from a knowledgeable standpoint, and as Notice of an alternative plan:

Authority is derived from bonding – the committing of faith and/or credit, from where one stands in trusting what is proposed or trusting in who will act on one’s behalf. To arrest is to STOP.

If you are relying on the authority of the people noted within the Constitution, you are likely also relying on the law tenets that give authority to the Constitution, memorialized within the preamble to the Declaration of Independence (which was the initiation of a quit-claim action against a monarch, prosecuted by War).

The Constitution is only binding upon those office-holders who take an Oath to support it. The only two clauses within the so-called ‘Bill of Rights’ that apply to truly awakened people (people who only commit their faith and credit under the Law of One [“the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God”]) are found within Amendment IX “rights retained by the people” (meaning Birthrights to divine property), and Amendment X “powers reserved to the people” (meaning the power of direction [choice] as to one’s Birthrights, since the Creator is the Source of the grant for the soul to occupy the flesh for experiencing life in this dimension).

The other Amendments restrain the office-holders more specifically. However, the people must evidence where they Stand in Trust [their bonded authority] to qualify for any services demanded from the office-holders. The people can choose to stand in the Public Trust created in 1871 as wards within the US/Federal Reserve system of governance, being the municipal (guardianship) form based within the District of Columbia (and administered within all other Federal Reserve cities and districts). Or, they can choose to stand in trust of God within them (also called the indwelling Spirit). People of the latter state of being share and benefit in the sovereignty of One, essentially acting as the one Church, which societal-trust model [republic] was settled by the founders of The USofA. Such people directly minister that Trust for our Creator – being a government of the (Creator-directed) people, by the (Creator-directed) people and for the (Creator-directed) people. President Lincoln hoped such governance form/model would not perish from the face of the earth, per the Notice given within in his famous warning speech.    

The Military protects property. The word Property means Use-rights. Divine use-rights can be encumbered by voluntary registration [making a grant of one’s inherent power of direction] or other form of direct bonding with the US/Federal Reserve, evidenced by receipt of said Public Trust benefits.

The people encumber their Birthrights by voluntary means. No one holds a gun to their heads. The most common encumbering act, and in fact the Cause of all other adverse Effects, is the peoples’ endorsement of the private credit of the Federal Reserve bankers, for receipt of perceived welfare/benefits. When people place their blind (unqualified) signature/authorization on a banking instrument, they bond their faith and future energy [energy being their divine substance] to the extra currency that the Fed then creates. The fractionalized currency is backed with substance, not ‘created out of thin air’. The people ORDER up the additional currency. Look at a check. The face states PAY TO THE ORDER OF, and the back usually states the word ENDORSEMENT. The fiat currency is merely passed from one Federal-Trust person to another, but the Federal Reserve holds an Interest in it at all times. All licensing, insurance and taxation is a result of acceptance of the Fed’s private credit.

How can people claim to be a member of the Sovereign USofA when they pledge their faith [their trust] and their substance to a foreign Sovereign who totally supports them?

So now, DRAKE, where’s the authority for the people, who are obliged to the Fed per direct pledging, to arrest the Fed and accomplices? It is irrelevant that the Fed (et al) is engaged in ‘unlawful’ activity. These ‘dark’ ones formed the municipal Trust as an unlawful, but LEGAL, entity. The Fed has merely offered the people benefits if the people volunteer to be Beneficiaries of the Trust.

Here’s the alternative. THE PEAPLE CAN CHOOSE TO ARREST THEIR OWN ACTIONS. They can choose to STOP granting their authority to those who perform or support this dark agenda.

Imagine ---- millions of people choosing to cease endorsing fiat money of account by merely choosing to demand to handle money of exchange (called by the Congress “lawful money”, being U.S. notes)? How is that possible? The Congress created such relief from endorsement of fiat currency, written right into Section 16 of the Federal Reserve Act, codified at Title 12, Section 411. 

Is there temporary inconvenience in newly choosing to live in sacred trust, upon one’s discovery of the correction that can be taken? Yes. Do you suppose the founders of the USofA were temporarily inconvenienced? Answer – Yes.

So my suggested alternative to your suggestion DRAKE is that people realize the CAUSE of their volunteer slavery to the Moneychangers et al. and then actualize their own authority to create life independently of the Fed.

Your plan is fundamentally flawed. The Military does not have the independent authority to make arrests, unless they witness actual rioting that local authorities cannot arrest. Are you, DRAKE, suggesting that the bankers have/are inciting riot, such that actual rioting is imminent? I suggest that the high-ranking members of the Military [the ‘bad’ guys/gals] KNOW the essence of and the parties to the Fed Trust, and their lack of authority to interfere with the Fed’s agenda. They are receiving a paycheck for servicing the Fed’s Interests!!! I agree that a slave-uprising would be detrimental to the Fed’s Interests. But per your speaking, DRAKE, you could be accused of instigating or fueling riotous conditions. Wouldn't it be simpler, and preferable, for the people to arrest their own wrongful judgments? Could the whole Military get behind the restraint that the Fed et al would have to exercise if the people would do that?

As I see it, the dark ones have only demonstrated their own lack of connection with their indwelling Spirit, and that is what shall be corrected, per their own choosing. As I see it, members of the good Military, who no longer choose to support the Fed, can choose to leave as conscientious-objectors. So can sheriffs [leave the position they occupy within the municipal SHERIFF DEPT] and other ‘law-enforcement’ officers. BTW: FBI agents only investigate crimes against the Fed’s monetary Interests; they are essentially accountants who carry a gun, as explained to me by a former State LEO.

Imagine --- millions of people (of your network, DRAKE) choosing to arrest their own support of the Fed and all its ways, by leaving the debt-based system of thought/living! By choosing to not monetize their Birthrights. That would collapse many domains of concern [not to mention the hastening of the collapse of the Fed system]. And, no more unfulfilled expectations from placing trust in an earth-bound savior.

Imagine --- “Imagine all the people living life in peace. It isn’t hard to do” [John Lennon].

The people of the ‘republic’, who claim to be parties to the Sovereignty of the USofA as self-responsible people, cannot claim such authority by just declaring such standing [i.e. the Hague Notice of Intent] when their subsequent deeds [endorsement of Fed credit/Sovereignty] encumber that declaration/intent. Or is the subsequent Word of these people not their sacred Bond? One’s signature/autograph is one’s seal.

There is, however, one township of the USofA that I know of wherein people have established and maintained the standing to order Fed agents to cease any attempt to claim Interest in said peoples’ divine Birthrights. That is New Buffalo township, Michigan. I am one of those God-directed people/souls who settled self-responsible governance here by my ministerial right to accomplish the transfer of government from municipal rule back to self-rule under the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God. That occurred long before the so-called Guardian Elders of the Republic took action, followed by Tim Turner’s Republic attempt, leading to the latest attempt. The New Buffalo township members’ certificate of good-standing issues from our Creator, not from the Hague [although all the world has been given Notice of our standing without the Fed cities and districts]. We, the said township people, have benefited from the inconveniences we have endured, and we shall take the discoveries made during this life-stream into our cosmic missions beyond this ‘time’.

Southern Poverty Law Center Has Become A Danger To America!: Fronts For Islam Training Jihad Militia Groups On U.S. Soil!

A once revered civil rights group named the Southern Poverty Law Center has now become a threat to the freedoms and security of American citizens due to their repeated attacks on all First Amendment rights and their utter debasement of the political process.

Due to the severity of the consequences of the SPLC’s actions on our nation, their well funded and organized repeated attacks on American freedoms of speech, the press, the right to peaceably assemble, and petition the government for a redress of grievances, let us as Americans of every race and creed unify in our calls for the dissolution and complete political destruction of the Southern Poverty Law Center…
While in the past the SPLC has targeted “hate groups” or groups deemed racist and potentially violent, such as the KKK and Neo Nazi groups, the SPLC has recently used their reputation for righting these groups to go after moderate and mainstream Americans, journalists, and show hosts and anchors in an attempt to suppress free speech.

The most recent attack from the SPLC on American freedoms has come in the public call for the firing of Lou Dobbs by SPLC President Richard Cohen.

“…to support the Constitution, which is the cement of the Union, as well in its limitations as in its authorities; to respect the rights and authorities reserved to the States and to the people as equally incorporated with and essential to the success of the general system;… to keep within the requisite limits a standing military force, always remembering that an armed and trained militia is the firmest bulwark of Republics – that without standing armies their liberty can never be in danger, nor with large ones safe;…”

Cohen asserts that Mr. Lou Dobbs is fueling hatred and inciting people to violence because he discusses issues such as illegal immigration and open borders on his show. The most recent call for Lou Dobbs to be fired was in response to Dobbs making the following statement on his radio show regarding the birth certificate and Constitutional eligibility of President Barrack Obama.
The SPLC and groups like Moveon(dot)org are scrambling to defend Barrack Obama when his approval numbers are diving with Rasmussen Reports showing Obama’s core ratings falling to negative 12 today!
Lou Dobbs did not take a position on President Obama’s Constitutional eligibility to serve as President as a natural born citizens. Lou Dobbs simply said “President Obama needs to “produce a birth certificate”.

American citizens of all walks of life are regularly made to provide a copy of their original birth certificate for jobs, licenses, passports, and other documents. Therefore, it is completely reasonable that President Barrack Hussein Obama should do the same to quell the large cohort of citizens that have serious questions about his eligibility to serve in an arena where there should be no doubts!

God forbid that the Southern Poverty Law Center’s call for free speech and freedom of the press to be destroyed in one fell swoop succeed, but is not even their call for the destruction of these rights offense enough?

Surely there will be some far left open borders and amnesty enthusiasts, that represent less than twenty percent of the US Population on the political issues of illegal immigration, that will support the SPLC call for the firing of Dobbs because they feel they will benefit from this abridgment of Constitutional rights in America.

However, Lou Dobbs’s political views are more closely aligned with the vast majority of Americans who want America’s borders secured and our existing immigration laws enforced. An even larger majority of people will support Dobbs’s right to say what he likes and report what he likes as an American citizen and member of the media. Thankfully, many Americans still realize that free speech is a sacrosanct pillar of our nation’s political processes and once esteemed place in history.

Today, SPLC President Richard Cohen sent out another release claiming that Lou Dobbs has some association with James von Brunn, the neo-Nazi accused of killing the Holocaust Memorial Museum guard.

This is outlandish, ridiculous, and absolutely hurtful to our Republic when you consider the fact that the SPLC and its sister organization the Anti Defamation League (ADL) have both been involved with documents sent out by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the DHS Fusion Center in Missouri that warn police to distrust American citizens based on their political beliefs, favorite books and movies, Presidential candidate choice, or bumper stickers.

The SPLC and ADL attempts to politicize American police in a way not seen in history since the reign of Stalin or Hitler are threats to our Republic, our nation, and the the freedoms and security of all American citizens. That is why ALIPAC sent out a national advisory warning Americans about these groups earlier this year!
Now things have taken a new turn with the SPLC asking even their left leaning supporters to come along with them on a direct attack on free speech and the freedom of the press in America in a move that is designed to try and limit the right to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
Most of us could understand and tolerate these groups and their spokespersons having different political views than us. I even fully support their free speech and right to engage in unpopular free speech supporting their positions in support for open borders and amnesty for illegal aliens.
But by targeting moderate groups and commentators, smearing their names with false associations with murderous racists, and attempting to simultaneously interfere with Constitutionally protected freedoms of Americans, the SPLC has gone too far and has become a threat to the American rules, principles, ideals and freedoms necessary to allow peaceful political change and diffuse calls for violence from the extremes.
I personally feel that the actions of the SPLC are increasing the chances of political violence in America as this group is trying to silence free expression of concerns and redress of grievances of tens of millions of Americans. The Americans the SPLC is targeting are not some violent fringe group, they are heartland Americans of every race and political party that believe in the founding principles of the United States!
Since the SPLC is actively involved in state and Federal legislation to reinforce their anti-American agenda, and since the SPLC has been identified in the effort to turn American police into political police, and since the SPLC is now fully on record calling for the firing of one of America’s most respected and revered news show hosts on CNN, let us therefore resolve to seek the political removal of the SPLC from the media and political processes they seek to control.
We do not advocate anyone lift a finger in anger against them, but to engage in the process that we support and use the freedoms we still have for their intended purpose. The pen and the computer keyboard is mightier than the sword and is the apt response to this threat. The truth and a majority of Americans are on our side and all we need to do is channel that power down on the heads of those responsible for these outrages at the SPLC.
Let us speak out with one voice against the SPLC and challenge the presence and messages of their spokespeople such as Richard Cohen, Morris Dees, Mark Potok, Heidi Beirich, and others when they are masquerading as a civil rights group before the media and lawmakers.

Let us reach out to Americans that have been funding the Southern Poverty Law Center that have been led to believe that the groups focus is on fighting radical violent groups. They need to know that their funds are being used to attack American freedoms that are important to us all. It is time for someone to launch an education campaign to counter what the SPLC is trying to do to our nation and to people like Lou Dobbs.
The SPLC is dead wrong on what they are trying to do and how they are going about it and we cannot sit idle as they move to destroy the last vestiges of freedom in America when so many of our brethren and forebears have paid the ultimate sacrifice to protect those freedoms for us all.

What is America Going To Look Like?

Do you want to see where this country is headed? If so, don’t focus on the few areas that are still very prosperous. New York City has Wall Street, Washington D.C. has the federal government and Silicon Valley has Google and Facebook. Those are the exceptions. The reality is that most of the country has been experiencing a slow decline for a very long time and once thriving cities such as Gary, Indiana and Flint, Michigan have become absolute hellholes. They are examples of what the rest of America will look like soon. 60 years ago, most Americans were decent, hard working people and there were always good jobs available for anyone that was willing to roll up his or her sleeves and put in an honest day of work. But now all of that has changed. Over the past decade, tens of thousands of manufacturing facilities have shut down and millions of jobs have left the country. Cities such as Cleveland, Baltimore and Detroit were once shining examples of everything that was right about America, but now they stand out like festering sores. The “blue collar cities” have been hit the hardest by the gutting of our economic infrastructure. There are many communities in America today where it seems like all of the hope and all of the life have been sucked right out of them. You can see it in the eyes of the people. The good times are gone permanently and they know it. Unfortunately, the remainder of the country will soon be experiencing the despair that those communities are feeling.
The following are 12 hellholes that are examples of what the rest of America will look like soon….
#1 Gary, Indiana
Gary, Indiana was once a great industrial city.
Today, it is one of the ten most dangerous cities in America, and the population has fallen by about 50 percent.
The following is from a recent Daily Mail article….

Frequently rated one of the ten most dangerous cities in the United States, Gary once boomed with jobs and opportunities but now faces the acute difficulties of America’s growing rust belt, with 22 percent of families in the once-great city now lying below the poverty line.
This modern American ghost town began life as home for workers at the United States Steel Corporation plant until economic competition from abroad forced a 90 percent job cut.

It is hard to describe what is happening to Gary without using the word “depressing”. You can watch a great video that shows what Gary, Indiana looks like these days right here.
This is what happens when industry leaves and there are no jobs. Gary has become a wasteland and there is essentially no hope for a turnaround.
The following is how James Kunstler described what he experienced when he traveled through Gary, Indiana recently….

Between the ghostly remnants of factories stood a score of small cities and neighborhoods where the immigrants settled five generations ago. A lot of it was foreclosed and shuttered. They were places of such stunning, relentless dreariness that you felt depressed just imagining how depressed the remaining denizens of these endless blocks of run-down shoebox houses must feel. Judging from the frequency of taquerias in the 1950s-vintage strip-malls, one inferred that the old Eastern European population had been lately supplanted by a new wave of Mexicans. They had inherited an infrastructure for daily life that was utterly devoid of conscious artistry when it was new, and now had the special patina of supernatural rot over it that only comes from materials not found in nature disintegrating in surprising and unexpected ways, sometimes even sublimely, like the sheen of an oil slick on water at a certain angle to the sun. There was a Chernobyl-like grandeur to it, as of the longed-for end of something enormous that hadn’t worked out well.

Sadly, Gary is far from alone. There are a whole host of other formerly great U.S. cities that are degenerating into hellholes as well.
#2 Chicago, Illinois
There is something truly special about Chicago. Most of America loved the Bears of the Walter Payton era, the Bulls of the Michael Jordan era and the Cubs of the Ernie Banks era. Chicago is also known for great architecture and great pizza.
But these days “the windy city” is becoming known for other things.
The murder rate in Chicago is up 38 percent so far this year, and the recent spike in violence in the city has made national headlines.
As I noted the other day, there are only about 200 police officers in Chicago’s Gang Enforcement Unit to deal with an estimated 100,000 gang members.
That means that those officers are outnumbered 500 to 1, and more gang members pour into the city every single day.
The escalating violence in Chicago was detailed in a recent article in the Telegraph….

“This is a block-to-block war here, a different dynasty on every street,” said a dreadlocked young man heavily inked in gang tattoos who calls himself “Killer”.
“All the black brothers just want to get rich, but we got no jobs and no hope. We want the violence to stop but you ain’t safe if you ain’t got your pistol with you. Too many friends, too many men are being killed. We don’t even cry at funerals no -more. Nobody expects to live past 21 here.”
The victims and killers are mainly black males aged between 15 and 35, often with gang affiliations – but not exclusively. A seven-year-old girl, Heaven Sutton, was buried this month after being gunned down at her mother’s street sweet store. And last week, two girls aged 12 and 13 were shot and badly-wounded as they walked home from a newly-opened community centre.

If you are thinking of moving to Chicago, you might want to think again.
#3 Detroit, Michigan
I have written repeatedly about Detroit because it is a perfect example of what the rest of America is going to look like soon.
Once upon a time it was regarded as one of the top manufacturing cities the world had ever seen, but today it has become a total hellhole.
There are very few decent jobs available, poverty has exploded and crime is everywhere.
If you can believe it, 53.6% of all children in Detroit are living in poverty, and only25 percent of all students in Detroit graduate from high school at this point.
And as I wrote about recently, justifiable homicide in Detroit increased by a whopping 79 percent during 2011, and the rate of self-defense killings in Detroit is now approximately 2200% above the national average.
Is it any wonder that you can still buy a house for $100 in some areas of Detroit?
The truth is that many areas of Detroit now resemble a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Perhaps that is why one team of investors actually wants to turn some of the worst areas of Detroit into a zombie theme park….

Derelict areas of Detroit face being taken over by hordes of ‘flesh and brain-eating zombies’ if an ambitious business plan takes off.
Entrepreneur Mark Siwak wants to create live-action terror theme park ‘Z World’ on Motor City’s run-down and abandoned streets.
Customers would pay to be chased by professional actors and try to seek shelter in ghostly homes, factories and businesses.

#4 Stockton, California
Stockton is one of the ten most dangerous cities in America and it recently made national headlines when it declared bankruptcy.
Unfortunately, as spending on law enforcement has declined it has given the criminals a lot more room to operate in Stockton. The following is from a recentBusiness Insider article….

The city has cut more than $90 million in spending over the past few years, specifically in its police department. The city has cut over one quarter of its police jobs, which has led to a “surge in murders,” and has created an “emboldened criminal element” in the city. According to police spokesman Joe Silva, the city has had 87 murders since the start of 2011, 29 of which have already occurred this year. In contrast, there were 35 murders in 2009 and 48 in 2010. With six months left in the year, there have already been more murders in the city since the start of 2011 than the two-year stretch of 2009-2010.

A while back in Stockton a billboard was put up with the following message: “Welcome to the 2nd most dangerous city in California. Stop laying off cops.”
#5 Flint, Michigan
Flint, Michigan is a city that Michael Moore has made famous. Flint once supported hordes of middle class workers thanks to a thriving auto industry, but today it is a just a rotting shell. It looks like a war went through it and nobody bothered to clean up the mess.
At this point, the murder rate in Flint, Michigan is worse than the murder rate in Baghdad. That is how nightmarish things have become in Flint.

Flint is the birthplace of General Motors and the home of the U.A.W.’s first big strike. In case you didn’t know this, the words “Vehicle City” are spelled out on the archway spanning the Flint River.
But the name is a lie. Flint isn’t Vehicle City anymore. The Buick City complex is gone. The spark-plug plant is gone. Fisher Body is gone.
What Flint is now is one of America’s murder capitals. Last year in Flint, population 102,000, there were 66 documented murders. The murder rate here is worse than those in Newark and St. Louis and New Orleans. It’s even worse than Baghdad’s.

Politicians love to go to Flint and make speeches, but things never get any better. The following are comments that Joe Biden made about Flint, Michigan during a recent speech he gave to promote a jobs bill….

“In 2008, when Flint had 265 sworn officers on their police force, there were 35 murders and 91 rapes in this city. In 2010, when Flint had only 144 police officers, the murder rate climbed to 65 and rapes–just to pick two categories–climbed to 229. In 2011, you now only have 125 shields. God only knows what the numbers will be this year for Flint if we don’t rectify it.”

But don’t look down on Flint – these kinds of conditions are coming to where you live soon enough.
#6 West Philly
Did you know that 36.4% of all children that live in Philadelphia are living in poverty?
There are some sections of Philadelphia that are actually very nice, but there are others that look like society has forgotten about them for decades.
A recent article by Jim Quinn entitled “More Than 30 Blocks Of Grey And Decay” described the depressing conditions in West Philadelphia. Quinn refers to his drive through this area as “the 30 Blocks of Squalor”….

The real unemployment rate exceeds 50%, murder is the number one industry, with drugs a close second.

But it was not always this way. Once upon a time, West Philly was actually a thriving area and was full of middle class families.
So what happened?
That is a very good question.
According to Quinn, the physical decay in West Philly is matched by the social decay….

The once proud homes are in shambles. Bags of garbage dot the landscape. Most of the people who live here are parasites on society. Personal responsibility, work ethic, education and marriage are unknown concepts in this community. Even though more than 50% of the students in West Philly drop out of high school and the SAT scores of West Philly High students are lower than whale ****, the bankrupt school district spent $70 million to build a new high school/prison to babysit derelicts and future prison inmates. The windows do not have steel bars yet, as the architect was smart to put all windows at least eight feet above street level.

These days there is a lot of despair in “the city of brotherly love”. It is so sad to see what is happening to what once was such a proud city.
#7 Cleveland, Ohio
Cleveland has always had a love/hate relationship with itself. Many who live there call it “the mistake by the lake”, but the truth is that it was once a truly great city.
Sadly, today it is symbol of what has gone wrong with America.
There has been a steady stream of businesses that have left Cleveland and today52.6% of all children that live in Cleveland are living in poverty.
There are not enough good jobs in Cleveland anymore, and so there are not enough workers to buy the tens of thousands of homes that have been foreclosed or abandoned.
So what is being done with all of those empty homes?
Unfortunately, they are being torn down.

Across America, recession-fueled foreclosures and plummeting home values have left countless properties abandoned and vulnerable to looting. As Scott Pelley reports, the problem has gotten so bad in Cleveland, Ohio, that county officials have demolished more than 1,000 homes this year – and plan to demolish 20,000 more – rather than let the blight spread and render nearby homes worthless.

Does that seem right to you?
Should Cleveland be destroying tens of thousands of homes that families could be using?
Something has gone very, very wrong in this country.
#8 Camden, New Jersey
If you want to see what a hellhole looks like just visit Camden, New Jersey.
Although you will probably want to take an armed escort with you.
As industry has abandoned Camden, the gangs have basically taken over. The “growth industries” in Camden these days are drug dealing and prostitution.
In an article entitled “City of Ruins“, reporter Chris Hedges described what life is like in Camden at this point….

There are perhaps a hundred open-air drug markets, most run by gangs like the Bloods, the Latin Kings, Los Nietos and MS-13. Knots of young men in black leather jackets and baggy sweatshirts sell weed and crack to clients, many of whom drive in from the suburbs. The drug trade is one of the city’s few thriving businesses. A weapon, police say, is never more than a few feet away, usually stashed behind a trash can, in the grass or on a porch.

Not that other cities in New Jersey are shining examples for the rest of the world either.
For example, if you want to get really depressed just drive through the bad parts of Newark some time.
#9 St. Louis, Missouri
According to U.S. News and World Report, the most dangerous city in the United States is St. Louis.
If you have a death wish, just wander around the streets of East St. Louis at night.
There is a decent chance that someone will shoot you.
Things were not always this way in St. Louis. But today things have gotten so bad that you can find packs of wild dogs roaming the city digging through trash and threatening children.
The following is from a report by the local CBS affiliate in St. Louis….

…Lewis Reed is sounding the alarm. “I’ve witnessed packs of dogs, 10 and 15 dogs running together, and I’ve seen all these dogs I’m talking about they don’t have collars, they don’t have tags, these are truly wild dogs,” he said.
Reed says stray dogs are terrorizing the north side. “It’s obscene that parents have to walk their kids to school, in some parts of the city, with a golf club to fend off wild dogs.”

This kind of thing is actually happening in America?
#10 New Orleans, Louisiana
The problems that New Orleans has experienced have been well documented.
But unlike most of the cities listed above, at least New Orleans has an excuse. New Orleans permanently lost 29% of its population after Hurricane Katrina, and large sections of the city were essentially destroyed by that storm.
Even today, there are still some areas of New Orleans that look as if they have just been bombed.
It has been estimated that about 20 percent of the homes in New Orleans are still standing vacant, and poverty is rampant. New Orleans will probably never fully recover to the level it was at before Hurricane Katrina hit.
#11 Oakland, California
Oakland has always been in the shadow of San Francisco, and the contrast between the two cities continues to grow.
Oakland has always been considered one of the more dangerous cities in America, and this year crime rates in Oakland are rising rapidly. The following is from a recent article in the New York Times….

At the beginning of April, murders in Oakland were up 26 percent over a year ago, rapes were up 41 percent, and robberies were up 35 percent.
When Chief Batts arrived as a “change agent” in 2009, the police department employed 837 officers. It now has 635. The department no longer responds to burglaries that are not still in progress, and frequently does not respond to other calls for help.

So if your house has been robbed and the burglars are gone what are you supposed to do?
Due to a crippling lack of resources, the previous police chief decided that his department would no longer be able to respond to all crimes.
The following is a partial list of the crimes that police in Oakland are no longer likely to respond to….

• burglary
• theft
• embezzlement
• grand theft
• grand theft: dog
• identity theft
• false information to peace officer
• required to register as sex or arson offender
• dump waste or offensive matter
• loud music
• possess forged notes
• pass fictitious check
• obtain money by false voucher
• fraudulent use of access cards
• stolen license plate
• embezzlement by an employee
• extortion
• attempted extortion
• false personification of other
• injure telephone/power line
• interfere with power line
• unauthorized cable tv connection
• vandalism

So what do you do if you are a victim of one of those crimes in Oakland?
That is a very good question.
#12 Baltimore, Maryland
If you can believe it, Baltimore was actually once a great city.
But today it has become a crime-ridden, drug-infested hellhole.
I used to drive up to Baltimore all the time. It truly is a “blue collar” city. There are a lot of really hard working people there.
Unfortunately, there are not nearly enough jobs for everyone and a lot of people have turned to drugs and crime.
There are some areas of Baltimore that you really should never enter by yourself. If you do go into them, you might not make it back out.
There was one incident in Baltimore earlier this year that was particularly disturbing.
One poor young man had gotten drunk and was apparently wandering around all by himself. Some thugs approached him and they clearly sensed that he was vulnerable. So they knocked him to the ground, stripped him of his car keys, his watch, his money, his cell phone and his clothes.
A crowd gathered around to watch, and instead of helping the man, several of them got out their cell phones and laughed hysterically while they recorded the incident with their cell phone cameras for YouTube.
What made all of this even sadder is that this happened right in front of a Baltimore courthouse.
What in the world has happened to this nation?
All of us that still love this country should be deeply saddened by everything above.
America is rotting from the inside out, and if we are ever going to find any solutions we need to start admitting how bad things have really become.
The truth is that our problems are not limited to one political party, one special interest group or to one region of the country. The social decay that is plaguing America can literally be found everywhere.
