As the investment world eagerly awaits more stimulus, a debate on a previously unthinkable topic has started to emerge – can fiat currencies survive round after round of debasement?

Some heavy hitters say the answer is no.

A fiat currency derives its worth from the issuing government - it is not fixed in value to any objective standard. That means central banks can print as much money as they want.  If an economy is struggling, injecting more notes into the system juices activity but lowers the value of the currency in question.

With major central banks all desperate to stimulate their economies, some say currencies have entered a dangerous new phase often described as a race to the bottom.

Mark Mobius, Executive Chairman of Templeton Emerging Markets Group, says investors will soon start to demand fiat currencies be backed by gold or other hard assets.

“It's already happening, you're beginning to see that trend with central banks stocking up on gold.  The estimate is that at least half of the buying is central bank buying. They are looking to the day when they can say okay, our currency is backed by gold and therefore we're a strong country,” Mobius told CNBC Asia.

Mobius has $50 billion under management.

Yu-Dee Chang, Chief Advisor at ACE Investment Strategists, says repeated stimulus is shortsighted. “If you keep printing money, sooner or later, we're going to get in trouble.  QE is good for the economy and for the market but the long-term effect is very much questionable,” said Chang.

But not everyone thinks fiat currencies are approaching their demise.  Sean Callow, Senior Currency Strategist at Westpac Bank, says if there was going to be a melt-down, it would have happened by now.

“The bond market vigilantes have had every chance to punish the U.S. for its huge fiscal deficits. The markets are confident in these currencies - the U.S. dollar [.DXY  82.71  ---  UNCH  ], the pound [GBP=X  1.5725    -0.0015  (-0.1%)], and the yen [JPY=X  78.51    0.08  (+0.1%)] in particular. That's where the balance sheet expansion has occurred and yet those currencies have held up pretty well over the past couple of years,” said Callow.

As the fiat currency debate gains momentum and relevance, one London-based manager of a billion dollar fund says the answer about what lies ahead is in the past.

“Every single fiat currency in history has collapsed, this time will be no different.”

Here it is, folks, and it is bad news. The framework for legislation is always laid, and the Democrats have the votes to pass anything they want to impose upon us. They really do not believe you need anything more than a brick to defend your home and family. Look at the list and see how many you own. Remember, it is registration, then confiscation. It has happened in the UK, in Australia, in Europe, in China, and what they have found is that for some reason the criminals do not turn in their weapons, but will know that you did.   Remember, the first step in establishing a dictatorship is to disarm the citizens.   Gun-ban list proposed. Slipping below the radar (or under the short-term memory cap), the Democrats have already leaked a gun-ban list, even under the Bush administration when they knew full well it had no chance of passage (HR 1022, 110th Congress). It serves as a framework for the new list the Brady's plan to introduce shortly. I have an outline of the Brady's current plans and targets of opportunity. It's horrific. They're going after the courts, regulatory agencies, firearms dealers and statutes in an all out effort to restrict we the people. They've made little mention of criminals. Now more than ever, attention to the entire Bill of Rights is critical. Gun bans will impact our freedoms under search and seizure, due process, confiscated property, states' rights, free speech, right to assemble and more, in addition to the Second Amendment. The Democrats current gun-ban-list proposal (final list will be worse):   Rifles (or copies or duplicates): M1 Carbine, Sturm Ruger Mini-14, AR-15, Bushmaster XM15, Armalite M15, AR-10, Thompson 1927, Thompson M1; AK, AKM, AKS, AK-47, AK-74, ARM, MAK90, NHM 90, NHM 91, SA 85, SA 93, VEPR; Olympic Arms PCR; AR70, Calico Liberty , Dragunov SVD Sniper Rifle or Dragunov SVU, Fabrique National FN/FAL, FN/LAR, or FNC, Hi-Point20Carbine, HK-91, HK-93, HK-94, HK-PSG-1, Thompson 1927 Commando, Kel-Tec Sub Rifle; Saiga, SAR-8, SAR-4800, SKS with detachable magazine, SLG 95, SLR 95 or 96, Steyr AU, Tavor, Uzi, Galil and Uzi Sporter, Galil Sporter, or Galil Sniper Rifle ( Galatz ). Frames or receivers for the above are included, along with conversion kits. Attorney General gets carte blanche to ban guns at will: Under the proposal, the U.S. Attorney General can add any "semiautomatic rifle or shotgun originally designed for military or law enforcement use, or a firearm based on the design of such a firearm, that is not particularly suitable for sporting purposes, as determined by the Attorney General."     Note that Obama's pick for this office, Eric Holder, wrote a brief in the Heller case supporting the position that you have no right to have a working firearm in your own home. In making this determination, the bill says, "there shall be a rebuttable presumption that a firearm procured for use by the United States military or any law enforcement agency is not particularly suitable for sporting purposes, and a shall not be determined to be particularly suitable for sporting purposes solely because the firearm is suitable for use in a sporting event." In plain English this means that ANY firearm ever obtained by federal officers or the military is not suitable for the public.     The last part is particularly clever, stating that a firearm doesn't have a sporting purpose just because it can be used for sporting purpose -- is that devious or what? If there were a prize for the best “do as I say, not as I do” politician, the latest winner would be California Senator Dianne Feinstein. Senator Feinstein, who is currently leading a crusade to plug the White House’s recent spring of classified military leaks, is the Chairwoman of the powerful Select Committee on Intelligence. Because of her position of power, she has become “deeply disturbed by the continuing leaks of classified information to the media.” In other words, Ms. Feinstein finds it appalling that the American public is finding out about the not-so-glamorous doings of its own government. Her scorn for disinfecting sunlight has inspired her to call for the prosecution of Wikileaks founder Julian Assange for espionage.

This talk of super secretive government would be all fine and good for a minion of the security state except for one thing: Senator Feinstein is one of the biggest leakers in Congress herself. And it just so happens that her husband hasbenefited financially from contracting with the U.S. military. For all her talk of protecting the American people, Feinstein is just another well-connected thief in the societal racket known as the state. As Salon’s Glenn Greenwald trenchantly observes:
That the powerful Senator who has devoted herself to criminally punishing low-level leakers and increasing the wall of secrecy is herself “one of the biggest leakers in Congress” is about as perfect an expression as it gets of how the rule of law and secrecy powers are sleazily exploited in Washington



In the scum filled world of politics, unscrupulous behavior is a permanent fixture. It’s why the rule makers go out of their way to convince the voting public that its best interests are being taken to heart. The vision of a righteous government is sold to the people not just on Election Day but everyday thereafter. As long as voters stay complacent in the fantasy that their elected representatives are fighting the good fight, outspoken critics of the state will remain a minority. No amount of shoddy logic, guilt tripping, or blatant lies will awake the masses before it’s too late and all previous memories of freedom have been violently stripped away.



The truth is suppressed by the fantasy being continually force fed to the public, not just by politicians and their teleprompters, but by the a vast portion of the media which acts more like a squawk box for the state itself rather than an independent observer. The New York Times, the supposed great standard-bearer of journalistic quality, recently admitted that its stenographers and reporters allow their writings to be contorted by the same public officials who they claim to cover objectively. These reporters, so desperate to get a few words with any government official, are willing to give full discretion on what is reported right back to the people whose interest lies in manipulating the information the public receives. As the Times article reveals:
From Capitol Hill to the Treasury Department, interviews granted only with quote approval have become the default position.



The unconscionable behavior of the political class should be thought of as a contagious disease that infiltrates any industry that comes within influence of the state. Government contractors, lobbying associations, favored corporations, and even the press all seek to use the monopolized power of government to further their own interests. Instead of attempting to roll back stifling regulations, many of these firms simply wish to get in on the spoils of the great extortionary scheme.

The results are always the same. Politicians pretend to be saving the people from cold-natured capitalism while politically-connected businessmen and bankers act as if their commercial success is completely of their own doing. The hidden truth is both act in tandem to fleece the average taxpayer.



The fantasy then continues unabated. As F.A. Hayek recognized in The Road to Serfdom, central planners and their intellectual patrons achieve their power by gathering the “support of all the docile and gullible, who have no strong convictions of their own but are prepared to accept a ready-made system of values if it is only drummed into their ears sufficiently loudly and frequently.”

No matter how many times government policy fails to deliver on its promises, the reasoning stays the same: Politicians just need more tax dollars to spend goods into existence, central bankers need to print more money, human rights must be stripped away to ensure safety, consumers need to spend more and save less, and government will always know best.



Today as most major economies are taking a turn for the worse, news outlets are filled with the pleas of esteemed intellectuals for further monetary stimulus and spending. Even those economists generally considered in favor of markets are looking to central banks, which are given a totally non-free market government grant of privilege, to induce a boom in lending and demand through printing money.

As Pater Tenebrarum pointed out, it appears that Federal Reserve is close to announcing another round of monetary expansion. The Telegraph’s veteran economics commentator Ambrose Evans-Pritchard even went as far as to pen an editorial titled “Weimar solution beckons as manufacturing crashes in US Fifth District?”


 

No one seemed to ask the more important question of “since when does destroying a nation’s currency and setting the foundation for the rise of a murderous regime actually help out manufacturing when all is said and done? “

Even the man on the street, unlike Evans-Pritchard and his money-crankish peers in academia and print media, realizes that adding to the stock of currency does not add to society’s overall stock of wealth. More paper dollars, euros, yen, etc. isn’t the same as more foodstuffs, personal computers, and cellular phones.



When Zimbabwe’s stock market was skyrocketing to heavenly heights in 2007, the inflation lovin’ crowd must have looked on with delight at the uninhibited fruition of their favored policy. Grandmothers carrying wheelbarrows full of cash to the supermarket to purchase a few loafs of bread meant nothing in the face of accelerating GDP figures.



But again, the fantasy at play here is the idea that the state can create something out of nothing with the magic of the printing press. But as history proves time and time again, unbacked credit expansion always sews the seeds of its own destruction as the boom must inevitably turn to bust.

The real beneficiaries of newly created fiat money isn’t society in general but, as Murray Rothbard notes, “the State, State-manipulated banks and their favorites” who are first in line to receive the currency first. Proponents of central banking must spend a good deal of time concocting nonsensical explanations to ensure the overall public realize how ripped off it really is.

At no place in time were governments ever formed with good intentions in mind. This is the unvarnished truth as opposed to the fantasy world that is indoctrinated first within public school classrooms and is repeated in various outlets until old age. The state being a burden on society is a universal principle that transcends through all governmental levels and sizes. It was recently reported that a thirteen year old had his hot dog cart shut down by city officials in the city of Holland, Michigan. Because of zoning restrictions aimed at protecting already established restaurants, the boy, Nathan Duszynski, saw his small enterprise succumb to the crookedness of local government officials.



Now just think about this for a minute. A thirteen year old was savvy enough and had the foresight to purchase a significant amount of capital to start a modest business. When most kids his age are sitting in front of the television, Duszynski was gaining real world business experience. His customers didn’t say no to his effort; the government did. The public is typically told that zoning laws are for their own safety when quite the opposite is true. Zoning laws, like practically any decree that stems from closed-door dealings of politicians, are to the benefit of some individuals at the expense of others.

Mr. Duszynski, by virtue of his entrepreneurship, has already accomplished more productive-wise than any lifelong bureaucrat or politician. It is this writer’s hope that the shutting down of his small business will serve as a lesson for him in that he won’t buy into the fantasy that the state exists to provide peace and liberty.

Down The Rabbit Hole Intel - Gun Running, Mafia and Our Politicians

Guns that were seized were to be melted down at steel mills in Youngstown, OH and Granite City, IL. The records were altered  and the assault type weapons were repackaged and sent down the Mississippi to New Orleans where they were sent to the Zapata 7 oil drilling rig of Bush 41 then stored in the platform until they had enough to trade to Columbia for drugs.  One one of the trips down the Mississippi River Bill Clinton had 2,000 of them off loaded  at Mena, AR I believe., so the shipment was 2,000 shy when it reached New Orleans.  There is a large Mafia organization in New Orleans.  The drugs were brought back either to the airport in Mena, AR or  dropped to waiting boats in the Gulf of Mexico to Florida. This required these groups to talk in codes. I had about 12 - 14 hand written letters from the officer that  created and changed the code for each operation. He wrote them from prison in Yankto, SD. Those letters can also be found in old copies of  The Phoenix newspaper.  he also talked about flying from Mena, AR with the pilot Barry Seals to Chicago, IL to deliver drugs to the Mossad. Let me add that Rahm Emanuel is the North American head of the Mossad.

THE STORM IS COMING

In the movie the Dark Knight Rises there is a threat and warning that is given to Bruce Wayne by Selena Kyle. As she is dancing with him at a party she purrs in his ear, “There’s a storm coming Mr. Wayne. You and your friends better batten down the hatches. ‘Cause when it hits, you’re all goanna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large, and leave so little for the rest of us.”
As the film continues we begin to see that the rich are losing their grip on Gotham and the people learn that their government has betrayed them. That they had propped up a hero in Harvey Dent (a lawyer and politician) and jailed many people in his name fighting for his cause. The leader who rises up against the bankers and the elite is Bane.
The masked figure leads a rag tag group of men into Wall Street. Bane leads an organized system of violence against the wealthy, evoking a similar theme once seen in reality by Occupy Wall Street. Bane’s henchmen literally attack Wall Street, savagely beat the rich, and promise the good people of Gotham that ‘tomorrow, you claim what is rightfully yours. The movie is a damning indictment of the anti-corporate movement and the threat of social chaos it poses.
Bane’s plot involves a massive transfer of wealth using the stock exchange. It consists further of inciting civil unrest and taking control of cutting-edge technologies that use an algorithm precisely tracked to Bruce Wayne. They use the software to gut the fortunes of the rich.
Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight Rises is a very dark and foreboding predictive programming of what could happen if there was such statistical data available to undermine the 1 percent and send them into the streets where the rebellious are already there to eat them.
There would be massive unrest and as seen in the film a war between the people and the police. There are many critics who are claiming that Christopher Nolan’s epic is the sounding of the warning bell and that there awaits an organized puppet master anarchy that will topple the government by exposing and gutting

the fortunes of the elite. The only thing is that in real life it is done on streets and there is no sound track of evil drums pounding out the battle between the haves and the have nots.
The Dark Knight Rises seems to acknowledge systemic inequality and injustice, even if it portrays a demagogue hijacking legitimate grievances. It also shows that even when someone like Bane hands over the reins of power to the people – the people really do not know what to do with that power and so anarchy becomes the “bane” of Gotham’s existence.

As I was watching the Dark Knight Rises I never really applied any political substance to it. I only saw it as a bit of predictive programming and a believable scenario as to how it all begins.
It begins in a software company where a programmers design statistical software that can track and monitor the spending of some of the richest people in the world. The software is being used by an unnamed agency that has been paid to expose the corruption of a beloved politician that everyone can agree is a savior or messianic figure.
The threat goes out that there will be an exposing of fraudulent practices, which include identity theft, credit card fraud, securities fraud and a number of other practices that the elite do in order to bilk the poor for their money. There is also a sub plot where the software company is about to take their findings to the Supreme Court and expose all of the so called political heroes. This would create riots in various cities. It may even cause marauding shooters to show up in places where they can create mass casualties.
Let’s suppose intelligence is aware of the threat and issues a declassified memo from the department of homeland security warning law enforcement that there is a danger of terrorists killing people in movie theaters.
All that is needed it’s the catalyzing event and immediately the police state is activated and we begin to see flash riots take place in cities and civil unrest brewing under the radar.
The truth maybe stranger than fiction, as we look at the stories that surround the main story of a so called brainwashed lone nut James Holmes who opens fire at a movie theater in Aurora Colorado and his connections to both neuroscience and ‘Super soldier’ or ‘Peak Soldier performance’ experiments and a father that works for a software company that analyses fraud for business.
According to his LinkedIn profile, James Holmes’s father, Dr. Robert Holmes, who received a PhD in Statistics in 1981 from the University of California at Berkeley, worked for San Diego-based HNC Software, Inc. from 2000 to 2002. HNC, known as a “neural network” company, and DARPA, beginning in 1998, have worked on developing “cortronic neural networks,” which would allow machines to interpret aural and visual stimuli to think like humans.
The cortronic concept was developed by HNC Software’s chief scientist and co-founder, Robert Hecht-Nielsen. HNC merged with the Minneapolis-based Fair Isaac Corporation (FICO), a computer analysis and decision-making company. Robert Holmes continues to work at FICO.

My experience over the last 10 years at HNC and FICO has been in developing predictive models for financial services; credit & fraud risk models, first and third party application fraud models and internet/online banking fraud models.”

How interesting and coincidental is it that in the film The Dark Knight Rises Bane gets his hands on Software that is used to expose the fraud in Wall Street and literally guts the rich?
Robert Holmes is said to have developed computer algorithms that demonstrate predictive models for financial services; credit and fraud risk models, first and third party application fraud models and internet/online banking fraud models.
It is just too coincidental to not be eerily synchronistic. This software has been said to be able trace the Trillions of Dollars that have just vaporized into thin air. All of the spending in theory could be traced to the exact bank accounts of the elite thugs who have stolen it.
Now these Software insiders who may have information to nail corrupt officials have always wound up being fingered by intelligence agencies and many have died mysteriously.
Several years ago a system of software was developed called PROMIS, by a company called INSLAW. This was criminal tracking software that was used by the Defense Dept. and other agencies after they stole it from the maker and forced him into Bankruptcy and Jail, where he remains today.
Danny Cassalero was murdered investigating this case shortly after he came up with an “Octopus” conspiracy theory of how things operated in the highest circles. This software has been slightly modified by the CIA and secretly “slipped” into banking software that was exported out of our country for use by foreign and offshore banks.
The software was modified to track banking transactions instead and the information about the flow of finances throughout the world was now being monitored by the CIA or at least a few agents who wanted to find out where the money was going.
After this rogue CIA group got a hold of the information they then photocopied it and had it hand delivered to each particular congressman, senator or politician along with a note explaining to them that they no longer had their bribe fund and they had 24 hours to turn in their resignation or face public scandal, humiliation and possible criminal charges if they refused.
Just prior to the shooting in Aurora Colorado, where James Holmes the son of Robert Holmes the software developer allegedly killed 12 and injured over 50 others a scandalous report was issued in the United kingdom about the LIBOR scandal where it has been discovered that much of the wealth held by the so called 99 percent is being held in offshore accounts far away from the taxman and that there is software that is now being used to track and expose those who are abusing the system.
Makes you wonder if this is part of the PROMIS/INSLAW software or a modified version that is far more accurate and that the future is the exposure of criminal activity that would send the world into global civil unrest. Could it be that Robert Holmes was involved with the creation of such software models and that his son was programmed to kill in order to create a distraction from the fraud scandal that would rock the world?
According to Salon.com Mitt Romney arrived in London July 24th, 2012. He will be attending the the Olympic Games and hold fundraisers, including two with bankers and lobbyists involved in the expanding Libor rate-fixing scandal. London-based bank Barclays paid a $450 million fine earlier this month for manipulating the Libor, a rate that determines trillions of dollars of loans around the globe.
The company’s ex-CEO resigned both his post at the company and his hosting duties of a Romney fundraiser, but Barclays lobbyist Patrick Durkin remains a co-chair of the Romney fundraisers, and there are others with ties to the scandal as well. Some involved in the scandal could face jail time in the future.
Once again the chilling Predictive programming does not escape those who are watching the movie “The Dark Knight Rises.” Bane the leader of the fictional anarchist mob decides to plant bombs in the Gotham Underground. The final target is a stadium where the Mayor of Gotham attends a sports event. A young boy sings the national anthem that eerily sounds as if it is sung with a British accent. Bane pauses to listen to the distinct voice. He then says “Let the Games begin.” The stadium is then bombed and the mayor is killed as his reserved viewing box is bombed.
Is this a strange revelation of the method where the scene in the movie is supposed to be some pretext for what may happen at the London Olympics? According to a blurb posted on Media Monarchy a scenario has already been put forward demonstrating that the motive of any attack on the 2012 Olympics would be to cover up the LIBOR scandal and destroy all the bank records. An attack on the Olympics would be a quick fix to exit the elite’s present dilemma.
According to Media Monarchy a retired general sent a chilling memo to Author Steve Quayle connecting the attacks in Cinema number 9 at the Century 16 theaters in Aurora to the LIBOR scandal, Robert Holmes software exposing the elites and how their quick fix would be the bombing of the London Olympics.
The general says that the attacks would be the impetus for the construction of the “New Jerusalem”:
“London Olympic Opening Ceremony Artistic Director Danny Boyle labeled the ceremony a reflection of “our green and pleasant land”—a reference to the song ‘Jerusalem’ —-famously sung in the movies Chariots of Fire and also sung at Prince William’s wedding. The song uses the words of William Blake’s poem, which suggests the new Jerusalem would be in England….”
Why is the new Jerusalem so significant? The General points out that
“1. The Olympic opening ceremonies begin on the evening of Friday, 27 July (right after the markets in the US close and with the European and Asian markets having closed hours earlier). The ceremonies end in the early morning of 28 July…or the 9th of Av in the Jewish calendar….although the 9th doesn’t officially start until sundown.
2. The 9th of Av is the day Solomon’s Temple was destroyed in 586 BC. It is the day the second Temple was destroyed in 70 AD. It is also the day of the expulsion of Jews from Spain in 1492. It is a day of mourning.
3. On the “illuminati card” the time on the clock the represents Big Ben that is falling is 11:11. 1-1-1-1. Day one, one hour, one minute, one second into the ceremony?
4. Or, since the 9th of Av doesn’t officially start until sundown on the 28th, does the attack come (in Blake’s new Jerusalem) one day later when all the dignitaries are gone?”
Many dignitaries have already refused to attend the opening ceremonies and there are some who are already speculating that Perhaps Mitt Romney or even The Queen might wind up in danger due to a terrorist event. There have now been 1,200 more troops now being deployed for the games. This is an indication that there is a war coming or as Selena Kyle tells Bruce Wayne “A great storm.”
