10 Things We Can Learn From Egypt About Preparing for Economic and Societal Collapse

 WHAT AMERICANS SHOULD LEARN AND PREPARE FOR FROM THE RIOTS IN EUROPE, EGYPT

As riots spread across the world, having started first in Europe and now engulfing the Middle East, most people in the U.S. outright reject the possibility that   the same could happen right here at home. But the fact of the matter is that we remain in economic crisis and there is a real possibility of a total collapse of   the system we have come to know.

If the system does happen to collapse, be it because of a hyper inflationary currency meltdown, political uprising or anything in between, here are ten things you can expect to happen, just as they are happening in the Middle East today: 

1. There will be a general break down in law and order. Law enforcement will not be policing your neighborhood. This will likely lead to a community response and vigilante groups setting up neighborhood security details. The law and justice will be determined by those walking your streets with sticks and guns, so be sure to mind your P's and Q's. 

2. Food and water will become scarce. The average American has about three days worth of food in their home and likely very little water, as most are dependent on their local city for this essential commodity. As with any major disaster, like hurricanes or earthquakes, panicked people will immediately make a run for the grocery store, either before or at the onset of crisis, looking to acquire any non-perishable goods. They'll buy everything they can in one trip, which leaves less food for the next guy. Our just-in-time inventory management systems ensure that there will be no reserves in the back of the grocery store, so once the store shelves are cleared, it will be a while before they are restocked. 

3. Looting will be rampant. Until all of the food, water, diapers and HDTV's have been cleared from store shelves, looters will be breaking into retail businesses in search of goods. In Egypt, most of the population is not armed. In the U.S., however, it's a different story and the general rule on looters is: shoot them. Regardless of whether you are trying to acquire food for your baby or a free Xbox, you will be considered a looter if you enter a private business. 

4. If the rioting and looting gets bad enough, expect full deployment by the military. As we are currently seeing in Egypt and like we saw in New Orleans during the Hurricane Katrina saga, government is  prepared to restore order by whatever means are available. There will be heavily armed soldiers, tanks and unmanned aerial vehicles patrolling your city. 

5. When rocks start getting thrown, molotov cocktails start exploding and citizens take it upon themselves to shoot at military and law enforcement personnelSoldiers will fire back -- and the firing will be indiscriminate just like we've seen in Egypt and during the Iranian riots of 2009. One report out of Egypt indicates that President Mubarak of Egypt issued shoot-to-kill orders giving the military authority to open fire on anyone it deems a threat. 

6. Hospitals will run out of basic medical supplies. We saw this in Haiti and we saw it in Cairo. As the injured and wounded stack up, medical personnel will be overwhelmed. Basic medicines like hydrogen peroxide and antibiotics will disappear, and minor injuries     may lead to amputation or death in a matter of daysif supplies are not restocked. As more dead bodies stack up, this could potentially lead to widespread outbreaks of disease like it did in Haiti. 

7. The internet will get shut down. Governments have realized that the internet is the communication medium of choice to organize  protests and riots. When Iranians protested their Presidential elections in 2009, Twitter and other social networking sites were used to organize, as well as to broadcast pictures of the events in near real-time.  This gives the government ample reason to shut down all digital means of communication, the most important being that government is unable to stop mass gatherings nor are they able to control the news propaganda of the event itself. Egypt is the first country to have taken steps to completely shut down everything from traditional internet connectivity via ISPs, as well as phone and text communications. Expect the  same in your neck of the woods if and when it hits the fan. 

8. Banks will be closed and ATM's will be out of money. With no law enforcement,  banks will be unable to operate. There will be no one to refill the cash in ATM's and it's possible that even if they do have money you will not be able to withdraw it because problems with  electronic processing will prevent it. Those who don't have cash or barterable goods on them will be left with no way to transact. 

9. The real value of *gold and silver against most other assets will rise*. Though only anecdotal reports exist at this time from the streets of Egypt, it's clear that any time governmental, economic or social instability hits a particular region, the value of these     precious metals rises. The 2010 riots in Greece prove this point, as the price of gold on the street rose to a reported $1700 per ounce, even while gold in global commodity  exchanges was trading at $1100.  When there are no open banks or working ATM's,  precious metals will become the de facto reserve currency on the ground.  

10. The 'important' people will probably get the heck out of Dodge. If you've got money and power, you're going to be fast-tracked out of the region. PresidentMubarak's sons quickly fled Egypt when the riots broke out. In Tunisia, the President's wife made a beeline for the nearest international destination -- with aton of gold in tow. While the elite will have access to evacuate a disintegrating regional riot or collapse, every day folks will likely be stranded. Expect that wherever you are when it hits the fan is where you'll stay, so be sure to be stocked up on the essentials.

Obama had to stage a photo op of himself shooting a shotgun in order to create the impression that he was "pro-gun."

In the aftermath of the tragic Sandy Hook shooting, the gun grabbers across America unleashed a full court press to try to wholly disarm American citizens. With the help of the incessantly anti-gun mainstream media, people like Biden, Bloomberg, Cuomo, Feinstein and Obama managed to stir up a frenzy of fabricated fear that promised all our children would be violently gunned down if we didn't immediately agree to turn in all our guns and ammo magazines.

The push for gun control, however, has spectacularly backfired. In reality, it has hardened the positions of gun rights advocates while massively increasing the number of AR-15s and other firearms sold across the country.

The backfire is far worse than the gun grabbers could have possibly imagined when they launched their efforts on the graves of the dead Sandy Hook children. Here's my analysis of what has factually happened on the gun control front since Sandy Hook.

Analysis of ways in which the gun grab backfired

- Instead of reducing sales of AR-15s and other firearms in America, the gun grab dramatically increased sales of nearly all firearms beyond any previous record. In essence, the American people bought nearly every gun available anywhere in the country, leaving gun store shelves empty. The upshot of all this? 10+ million new firearms in the hands of citizens and a one-year backlog of gun orders with manufacturers.

- Instead of shrinking the influence of the NRA, the gun grab vastly expanded NRA membership. More than 300,000 new members have been added to the NRA's roster in just the last few months, and the association has become more steeled in its position than ever before. The NRA has shifted even more dramatically against gun restrictions than ever before, even reversing itself on the issue of "gun free school zones" after learning that such zones don't work. Gun Owners of America has also seen its membership numbers soar.

- The backlash against Obama, Biden, Piers Morgan and others has been so powerful and persistent that Obama had to stage a photo op of himself shooting a shotgun in order to create the impression that he was "pro-gun." Similarly, anti-gun CNN host Piers Morgan has now broadcast a video of himself shooting an AR-15 in Katy, Texas, while softening his position and saying he was never against the Second Amendment in the first place. (Yeah, right...)

How big of a deal is all this? It's huge! Imagine Piers Morgan picking up an AR-15 the day after the Sandy Hook shooting. Never would have happened, right? Or imagine Obama allowing himself to be photographed shooting a shotgun. These images would have been unimaginable mere weeks ago, but the gun grab push has backfired so completely that even the Second Amendment's most outspoken critics are practically lining up to be photographed or filmed shooting guns.

- Instead of silencing all the gun advocates and owners across the nation, the effort has actually caused people to break their silence on the issue and go vocal with their true beliefs on the topic. I'm a perfect example of this: before Sandy Hook, I hardly ever mentioned firearms. After Sandy Hook, I've been one of the most outspoken voices of gun rights and the Second Amendment, and I've actually found that instead of losing an audience, I've gained a huge number of new subscribers who agree with me on this issue. Check the Alexa stats; Natural News is steadily gaining in web traffic even as we cover this issue.

Other people have done much the same thing. My friend Daniel Vitalis, best known for longevity supplements and preparedness know-how, has even gone public with his own pro-gun column, and the feedback from his health-oriented audience has been mostly positive.

- The emotionally-loaded "Demand A Plan" Hollywood video, featuring dozens of top stars trying to convince us we need to disarm ourselves, was very quickly turned into a laughing stock due to the release of far more informative video showing most of those stars using guns to commit bloody murder on the big screen. The hypocrisy was inescapable: Hollywood people want to claim they are against guns, but much of their income is based on movies that feature horrific scenes of violent shootings.

- While the gun grabbers wanted sheriffs and cops to jump on board the gun disarmament bandwagon, what actually happened is that sheriffs began speaking out AGAINST gun control and encouraging their local constituents to arm themselves. Sheriffs across the country -- in huge numbers -- publicly proclaimed they wouldnot allow federal agents to enforce gun restrictions in their counties.

- While gun grabbers wanted states to fall in line and surrender to federal authority on the issue of gun control, what actually happened is that the Firearms Protection Act began to be introduced in state legislatures such as Wyoming and Texas. This act, which is now being considered in more than a dozen other states, would make it a felony crime for anyone to enforce new federal gun restrictions in their states.

- While gun grabbers hoped the U.S. military would agree to fire upon American citizens who refused to turn in their guns, what really happened is that huge numbers of active duty soldiers announced they would never participate in military action against their own countrymen. In fact, inside the military there is rising talk of shooting commanding officers in the head if they order troops to fire on American citizens over gun rights issues.

- While the gun grabbers hoped to demonize gun owners and "shame" them into somehow feeling guilty about Sandy Hook, what actually happened is that gun owners found new courage and American pride, and they have loudly voiced their intention to wage a war of resistance against any government that attempts to take their guns.

- In New York state, where Mayor Cuomo managed to quickly shove through an illegal, unconstitutional gun control law, there is now open talk of armed resistance against the state government. Elsewhere, there is even talk that U.S. Senators who vote for gun control may see their own staffers and families targeted for assassination. As Stewart Rhodes said on InfoWars Nightly News on December 31st, 2012:

"They will be targeted. I think that if they pass this bill, legislators who vote for it will be assassinated... they're going to be military targets, too, and they're going to be killed. They think they're immune, but they're not. They cannot walk around with enough security to keep from being shot by a sniper." - Stewart Rhodes,OathKeepers.org

(For the record, Stewart Rhodes is not calling for this action. He is merely stating the obvious: that this is likely to take place if gun confiscation comes up for a vote in the U.S. Senate.)

It's not just Stewart Rhodes saying this, either. Robbie Cooper from UrbanUndergrounds.com says much the same thing:

"We all quickly agreed a violent revolution and rebellion would occur almost immediately [following a federal gun ban]. Most, if not all, members of Congress who voted for the ban / confiscation would be assassinated. And the very first prey that would find themselves in the scopes of the rebels would be the members of Congress who passed this ban and the members of the media who have been their willing mouthpieces and agents of propaganda."

Bob Owens from Bob-Owens.com paints a similar picture:

"The 535 members of the House and Senate in both parties that allowed such a law to pass would largely be on their own; the Secret Service is too small to protect all of them and their families, the Capitol Police too unskilled, and competent private security not particularly interested in working against their own best interests at any price. The elites will be steadily whittled down, and if they cannot be reached directly, the targets will become their staffers, spouses, children, and grandchildren. Grandstanding media figures loyal to the regime would die in droves, executed as enemies of the Republic."

For the record once again, these people are not calling for such actions, they are merely predicting what is likely to take place. A government that attempts to disarm the citizenry at gunpoint is essentially declaring war on the People and should expect to be treated like an occupying enemy of America. On top of that, the real power in all this is that there is no central leader of any such rebellion. These actions would organically rise out of the population in the form of independent, self-initiated teams of armed defenders who are willing to risk their lives to save America from tyranny.

Veteran firearms instructor Paul Howe even penned a popular piece called 2nd Amendment and the Kool-Aid Drinkers in which he explains one popular solution for handling those who attempt to engage in gun confiscation:

Should firearm confiscation begin, solutions are simple. If they cannot live in a community, they cannot work in a community. If their house goes away while they are at work confiscating guns, so be it. Allow them to leave with their family and what possessions they can pack in their car.

Howe also explains, in other interviews, that gun confiscation teams -- "tac teams" -- should expect to be attacked without warning and take huge casualties, reducing the effectiveness of those teams and effectively ending gun confiscation activities.

Thank you, Obama, Biden, Cuomo and Feinstein

In all, the gun grabbers in America have become the single most effective gun rights recruitment team in U.S. history.

They have awakened people to the truth about the need for a Second Amendment and the ever-present risk of tyrannical government trying to dominate a free people. They have encouraged the sale of 10+ million firearms which are now held in the hands of private citizens. They have swelled the ranks of the NRA and Gun Owners of America. They have proven all the so-called "conspiracy theorists" right about claims that the government is coming for our guns.

The post-Sandy Hook actions of the gun grabbers have actually set back the gun control agenda by at least a decade. Americans are on high alert now, and they realize there is more than enough critical mass of resistance to stand up against any gun registration or confiscation scheme that might be attempted by an arrogant, unconstitutional and lawless government.

Obama has effectively declared himself King

Remember, the Obama administration openly claims the right to order the execution of American citizens without trial, without evidence and without any due process. A President who would justify those actions could justify anything, including nationwide gun confiscation, forced FEMA camp round-ups of citizens, military troops on the streets of U.S. cities and so on. Obama believes there is NO LIMIT to his power, and as a result he is, by definition, a totalitarianistic tyrant.

But Obama does not have the loyalty of the military, nor the sheriffs, nor most police departments. He is absolutely hated by gun owners and political conservatives. His circle of followers is weak and shrinking by the day. His political supporters are largely inner city welfare recipients who, as history has shown, matter little in the equation of human history.

Liberty is winning in America, and it will continue to win as long as you remain ever vigilant, knowing that the federal government is constantly scheming and conspiring to dream up ways to blame gun owners for tragic events and thereby invoke a false justification for disarming the citizens and creating a "monopoly of violence" of government.

Warning: How the gun grabbers could still win

Do not allow the victory of the moment to cloud your vision for the future, however. The gun grabbers are, right now, scheming up new ways to blame gun owners and pass gun confiscation in America.

Operation Fast and Furious, for example, was designed from the very start (and at the highest levels) to cause runaway gun violence near the U.S. - Mexico border, providing an excuse to try to ban guns everywhere across America. It failed because they got caught, but it shows that if they will stage Fast and Furious, they will stage anything.

You can bet your bottom dollar that high-level operatives inside the Obama administration are right now plotting another mass murder event to be blamed on gun owners. These are called "false flag" attacks, and the most likely scenarios that may be carried out include:

- A staged mass shooting at an airport security checkpoint where TSA officers are gunned down. The federal response will be to demand that the TSA be armed, and this is how Obama will create his "domestic security force" much like Hitler's brownshirts.

- Another bombing of a federal building or local police station. Expect the patsy to be a drugged-up military veteran who owns lots of guns and whose computer just happens to have a history of visiting websites likeInfoWars.com. Expect Alex Jones to be blamed for everything.

- A repeat of Sandy Hook with lots and lots of dead children. Schools still remain "gun free zones" which means they are wide-open shooting galleries for psychos who don't want anyone to shoot back. The more children die, the more political power the gun grabbers can squeeze out of the tragedy while somehow blaming the NRA.

- A dirty bomb released in a major U.S. city and blamed on "patriots" or some anti-government group. Of course, as we already know, a group within the FBI masterminds many of these domestic terror plots -- this is openly admitted by the FBI and was even published in the New York Times, believe it or not.

- A mass shooting at a sports stadium in order to terrorize sports crowds. This is why it's smart to avoid sports crowds for the foreseeable future.

In all these theoretical events, you can expect high-capacity magazines, AR-15 rifles and possibly even silencers (suppressors) to be planted on the scene in order to provide justification for those items to be banned. Whatever the government wants to take away from the citizens, it simply arranges to have them dropped off at the next staged mass murder scene. Want an example? There was no AR-15 rifle used in the Sandy Hook shooting. That narrative is a total hoax.

Five years ago, all this would have sounded like a kooky conspiracy theory. Today, gun owners all across America have come to realize this is fact. The government really does stage mass killings in order to forward its political agenda. They really are coming after your guns. And yes, they really did stage Fast and Furious for the purpose of causing enough mass death near the border to justify new gun control laws.

Thank you, Obama and Feinstein, for showing your cards and proving us right. America is now more awake, more vigilant and far better armed than ever before Sandy Hook. You have managed to achieve precisely the opposite of what you had hoped, and the spirit of liberty in America is stronger than ever.

Man With 4th Amendment Written on Chest Wins Trial Over Airport Arrest

A Virginia man who wrote an abbreviated version of the Fourth Amendment on his body and stripped to his shorts at an airport security screening area won a trial Friday in his lawsuit seeking $250,000 in damages for being detained on a disorderly conduct charge.

Aaron Tobey claimed in a civil rights lawsuit(.pdf) that in 2010 he was handcuffed and held for about 90 minutes by the Transportation Security Administration at the Richmond InternationalAirport after he began removing his clothing to display on his chest a magic-marker protest of airport security measures.

“Amendment 4: The right of the people to be secure against unreasonable searches and seizures shall not be violated,” his chest and gut read.

In sending the case to trial, unless there’s a settlement, the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled 2-1 and reversed a lower court judge and invoked Benjamin Franklin in the process. According to the opinion by Judge Roger Gregory:

Here, Mr. Tobey engaged in a silent, peaceful protest using the text of our Constitution—he was well within the ambit of First Amendment protections. And while it is tempting to hold that First Amendment rights should acquiesce to national security in this instance, our Forefather Benjamin Franklin warned against such a temptation by opining that those ‘who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.’ We take heed of his warning and are therefore unwilling to relinquish our First Amendment protections—even in an airport.

Tobey didn’t want to go through the advanced imaging technology X-ray machines, or so-called nude body scanners, that were cropping up at airports nationwide. Instead, when it was his turn to be screened, he was going to opt for an intrusive pat-down, and removed most of his clothing in the process.

Among other things, the federal lawsuit claimed wrongful detention and a breach of the First Amendment and Fourth Amendment. Tobey was on his way to Wisconsin for his grandmother’s funeral. Despite his detainment, he made his flight.

According to the suit, while under interrogation, the authorities wanted to know “about his affiliation with, or knowledge of, any terrorist organizations, if he had been asked to do what he did by any third party, and what his intentions and goals were.”

Two weeks later, Henrico County prosecutors dropped the misdemeanor charge against him, and he sued the Transportation Security Administration and others.

In dissent, Judge J. Harvie Wilkinson wrote:

Had this protest been launched somewhere other than in the security-screening area, we would have a much different case. But Tobey’s antics diverted defendants from their passenger-screening duties for a period, a diversion that nefarious actors could have exploited to dangerous effect. Defendants responded as any passenger would hope they would, summoning local law enforcement to remove Tobey—and the distraction he was creating — from the scene.

Safety Group Blows Lid on ‘Secret Virus’ Hidden in GMO Crops

Yet another disturbing reason has emerged as to why you should be avoiding health-devastating genetically modified organisms, and it may be one of the most concerning yet. We know that GMO consumption has been linked to a host of serious conditions, but one thing we are not so sure about is the recent discovery of a hidden viral gene deep within genetically modified crops.

For years, GMOs have been consumed knowingly and unknowingly around the globe, with Monsanto and the United States government claiming that the altered franken crops are perfectly safe despite very limited (or virtually none in some cases) initial testing and scientists speaking out against the dangers. One such danger that has actually not been spoken about has been revealed in a recent report by a safety watchdog group known as the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA).

Another Dirty Secret of Monsanto

In the EFSA report, which can be read online, you can find (within the scientific wording) that researchers discovered a previously unknown viral gene that is known as ‘Gene VI’. What’s concerning is that not only is the rogue gene found in the most prominent GMO crops and about 63% of GMO traits approved for use (54 out of 86 to be precise), but it can actually disrupt the very biological functions within living organisms. Popular GMO crops such as Roundup-Ready soybeans, NK603, and MON810 corn were found to contain the gene that induces physical mutations.

NK603 maize, of course, was also recently linked to the development of mass tumors in rats.

According to Independent Science News, Gene VI also inhibits RNA silencing. As you may know, RNA silencing has been pinpointed as vital for the proper functioning of gene expression when it comes to RNA. Perhaps more topically, it is a defense mechanism against viruses in plants and animals alike. On the contrary, many viruses have developed genes that disable this protective process. Independent Science News reports that the Gene VI is one such gene.

Overall, there is a degree of knowledge on Gene VI. What we do know going by information within the report is that the gene:

·  Helps to assemble virus particles

·  Inhibits the natural defense of the cellular system

·  Produces proteins that are potentially problematic

·  Makes plants susceptible to bacterial pathogens

All of which are very significant effects that should be studied in depth by an independent team of scientists after GMO products are taken off the market pending further research on the entire array of associated diseases. And that does not even include the effects we are unaware of.

This is yet another incident in which Monsanto and other biotech companies are getting away with an offense against the citizens of the world with (most likely) no action taken by the United States government. What we have seen, however, is nations like Russia, Poland, Hungary, and Peru taking a stand against Monsanto in direct opposition to their disregard for public safety. Russia, in fact, banned Monsanto’s GMO corn variety after it was linked to mass tumors in rats.

As more and more dirty secrets come out from the GMO industry at large, it gives further reason and more support to remove GMOs as a whole from the food supply.

‘World War C’ Warned To Crash US Economy By April

A grim Ministry of Finance (MOF) report circulating in the Kremlin today warns that Venezuela’s “nuclear option” crashing of its currency yesterday is a “clear signal”that the Western banking systems “house of cards”, erected in the aftermath of the 2007-2008 Global Economic Crisis, is in “total collapse” with the expected final outcome to be an “apocalyptic” crash of the US economy no later than April.

According to this MOF report, and what US financial experts described as “what lobbing a nuclear bomb into a currency war knife fight looks like”, Venezueladevalued its currency by an astounding 46% in the latest round of what is being described as the worst currency war our world has seen since the 1930’s, and which plunged the globe into total warfare. 

Currency war, (World War C) also known as competitive devaluation, is a condition in international affairs where countries compete against each other to achieve a relatively low exchange rate for their own currency. As the price to buy a particular currency falls so too does the real price of exports from the country.

Imports become more expensive. So domestic industry, and thus employment, receives a boost in demand from both domestic and foreign markets.

However, the price increase for imports can harm citizens' purchasing power. The policy can also trigger retaliatory action by other countries which in turn can lead to a general decline in international trade, harming all countries.

Brazilian Finance Minister Guido Mantega, widely credited with coining the term “currency war”, further warned yesterday that the global situation could get even worse if Europe joins the fray, and which this MOF report warns the will have to do in the “very near future.”

Chris Richey, a top American financial analyst, further stated that as we have yet to enter a full-fledged war because the European Central Bank (ECB) and Bank of England (BOE) are not (yet) engaged in purposeful currency devaluation. Rather, since 2009, each has been pre-occupied with either saving their currency (the ECB) or saving their banking system (the BoE). The relative value of their respective currencies has not featured high on their list of priorities over the past four years.

Not so, however, Richey says, for the US Federal Reserve, the Swiss National Bank, the Bank of Japan, the Central Bank of Brazil, and the People's Bank of China, all of whom have been very interested in the relative valuation of their currencies. And this is a list that matters because three of the top five global currencies are represented on that list and all of them have been engaged in competitive devaluations of their currency in order to promote their own exports.

This form of international contest, he continues, should strike those with a sense of history as similar to the trade and tariff wars of the Depression Era 1930's: “beggaring thy neighbor” in order to extract one's own country from economic straits. In the 1930's, the “beggaring” took the form of either abandoning the gold standard, literally blocking the importation of foreign goods, or imposing tariffs so high that imports were effectively blocked.

This time around, he warns, there are no gold standards to abandon and international trade rules have become too ingrained, both economically and legally, for onerous tariffs or outright bans to be practical or legal. Thus, the only economic weapon left is that of currency devaluation.

Tensions were ratcheted up a couple notches with the recent election of Shinzo Abe as Japan's Prime Minister this past December. As a candidate, Abe explicitly and repeatedly promised to double Japan's inflation rate target from 1% to 2% via increased central government money printing, borrowing, and spending.

And while the Bank of Japan has pushed back against Mr. Abe's proposals, we have still seen the Yen depreciate 25% against the Euro and 10% against the US Dollar since last July. In short, Japan is “all in” on making the Yen weaker and, thus, boosting Japan's exporting companies.

Even worse, this MOF report says, with the US Federal Reserve admitting this past week that it has bought up more government debt than the US Treasury has issued (because no one else is buying it), and with China now accounting for nearly half of the world’s new money supply, the Baltic Dry Index (BDI) of international trade has totally collapsed to levels not seen since the start of the 2008 Economic Crisis. 

Though the US propaganda media is failing to alert the American people to the shattering of their economy (exactly like they did prior to the 2008 collapse which cost these people trillions) the same cannot be said for the elite classes who continue to move billions out of their banks (the most since 11 September 2001) and whose corporate insiders are dumping huge numbers of shares in their own companies right now.

To the exact timeline of this coming collapse of the US economy, this report says, was “clearly shown” last week when the Swiss global banking giant UBS reported that an anonymous options trader had made an enormous $11.25 million bet that the VIX will explode between 20-25 April.

While the volatility index (aka the VIX, aka the “fear index”) is near historic lows, the Business Insider news service states about this trade that someone would have to be“VERY confident” in their outlook to risk $11 million on a directional position with the VIX at five year lows and the markets trying to break out to new highs.

To how the West is preparing for this coming economic collapse can be seen in France, where its President ordered the mobilisation of the secret services and police to carry out surveillance of workers fighting mass unemployment and factory closures, and in the United States (recently named by Human Rights Watch as the “ prison capital of the world”) whose Department of Homeland Security (DHS) this past week added tens-of-millions of more rounds to an arsenal said to equip it to wage a “30-year war” against the American people.

Most interesting to note of these events are them all occurring at a time when Eastern astrologers are warning that the “black water snake” (Year of the Snake) that emerges to replace The Year of the Dragon on 10 February -- the first day of the Lunar New Year -- could be a venomous one that brings disaster.

Previous Snake years have been marked by the 11 September 11 2001 terror strikes that killed nearly 3,000 people, the crushing of the 1989 Tiananmen pro-democracy protests and the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941. The 1929 stock market plunge that heralded the Great Depression also occurred in a snake year.

To if these Western peoples will awaken to the dire tragedy that lies before them and protect themselves it is not in our knowing.  What is known, however, and exactly like the year preceding the 2007-2008 collapse, those, like us, giving warnings are sure to be shunned and ridiculed while these people are robbed by their elite masters of what little remains of their wealth, freedom and dignity.

 The Biggest Financial Con in History

  The year was 1944 ... and all the 44 Allied nations gathered in Bretton Woods, New Hampshire.

  Their mission was to create a set of agreements to manage international trade after the war.

    Their brainchild, The Bretton Woods agreement, established the dollar as the world's reserve currency.

This international game-changer gave the United States a distinct economic advantage, but with one caveat ... every dollar the  Fed printed would be redeemable for gold at a standard rate of $35/oz.

   This was put in place to ensure the Fed didn't print dollars with reckless abandon.

   But of course, the Fed printed more \dollars than it had in gold to exchange, and with massive expenditures on the Vietnam War, the rest of the world became suspicious of America's ability to pay.

    So nations began to demand the gold they were promised.

    Then in 1971, President Nixon recognized he would not be able to meet the obligations and closed the gold window.  It was the first American default and it set off a rapid decline in the value of the dollar.

  Oil prices soared.  Inflation soared to 15% and higher.   At the same time, GDP fell 3.2% and unemployment hit 9%.   P/E ratios crashed down from 16 to 8 and stocks had the worst 15 year period in history ... even worse than the Great  Depression.

The government imposed wage and price controls which caused gas shortages around the country.

  But in 1973, then-Secretary of State Henry Kissinger hatched a brilliant plan.

    America had great military might and Saudi Arabia needed protection for its vast oil empire.

   So, in a stroke of genius, Kissinger exchanged America's military might for Saudi Arabia's promise to sell oil exclusively in U.S. dollars.

  Meaning, any country that wanted to purchase oil from OPEC was forced to use U.S. dollars.

    So anytime another country wanted to buy oil from the Middle East, they had to first convert their currency into U.S. dollars.

    And since oil is required in modern economies — and the Saudis are a main player in the oil trade — this put the U.S. in a unique situation.

    Countries around the world would have to export goods and services to get the dollars they’d need to buy oil.  America on the other hand could simply "print" the dollars it needed to buy oil.

    Which means the U.S. could run massive trade deficits because we exported the most valuable commodity in the world ... the U.S. dollar.

Up until the early 1970s America was the world's largest creditor.

But by the early 1980s we had begun to run our first trade deficits.

And since the 1990s our trade deficits have grown to trillions of dollars.

In order to get the dollars they needed to buy oil, countries flooded the U.S. market with cheap cars, cheap T.V.s, cheap clothes ... and we simply flooded the world with cheap currency in return.

But here's the cherry on top ...  

The OPEC countries were required to invest their profits in US treasuries, feeding the demand for government debt ... allowing the government to borrow with reckless abandon ... and creating the greatest bond bull market the world has ever seen.    But it wasn't just the government that borrowed. 

Consumers borrowed $14 trillion, add in $11 trillion in corporate debt, $17 trillion in financial debt and up to $90 trillion in unfunded liabilities like Social Security and Medicare — it all adds up to $140 trillion in total debt ... that's around 10 times greater than our whole domestic production. It's truly staggering.

And the whole house of cards is maintained by this simple agreement made in 1973.

Do you see why it's so important the U.S. maintains the petrodollar?

Do you see why we're willing to go to war with anyone who challenges the petrodollar?

And do you see why this is the biggest opportunity that China has to end the golden age of America and usher in an age of Chinese dominance?

 2008 gave us a prime example of what happens when the national credit card is shredded.

  From the late 1990s until early 2007, housing prices grew three times faster than income as the Fed pushed down rates to 1% and banks gave mortgages to anyone with a pulse. But the fact is, this rapid rise in house prices was unsustainable. And eventually the market ran out of credit-worthy buyers.

   And at this point the housing bubble simply popped.

And here's the even scarier part — even though growth only decreased 2% over the next few months, the entire economy almost collapsed. 

The Government spent trillions on bailouts and stimulus to get the economy moving again because they understood an important truth...   

The same dynamic is happening right now, but on a much, much larger scale, in the bond markets.  

Simply put, China is plotting to take away our biggest source for our seemingly inexhaustible demand for Treasuries ... And right now China has us right where they want us.

Because while Americans are stuck in the past ... burdened by the promises and entitlements made years ago ... China is preparing for the future

  And their goal is an all out assault on American supremacy and the petrodollar.

mach cobra said: I believe much of this is true but I don't believe in a year or two this will go to ** in a hand basket.  Actually the opposite.  IMO once again the Iraqi Dinar is the saving grace of the world and one has to understand the world and what has transpired for many many decades! 

The World is broke the USA is really broke, the debt load is beyond imagination, the bank bailouts equal the national debt and that is just what the people see.

 In a nut shell there is no way the debt can "ever" be repaid, won't happen, can't happen!  Where did all the money go you say?  Go ask the Rothchilds, the illuminati, JPM, Chase, etc etc etc.  The read is out there one just has to read it.  There are a very few people in the world that control the real wealth, very few! 

The only way that we the world can make the change neccessary is to take back what was stolen from the people.  I feel this has been in the works for upwards of 50 years, go back to the Kennedy times, and why again did both brothers get shot?  To take back the money, you do a reset, yes it may be tough for a bit and then again maybe not.  All Country debts get wiped out, we all start over. 

The people get a certain amount of help with their debts.  Now you have a debt free Nation, people with money in their pockets and people lucky enough to invest in something like the dinar now have money and are doing their part to help others.  Bottom line is the economy will boom, here and away!

 The crimes against the people have gone on far to long, the greed could never be satisfied, the more they got the more they wanted.  That bit them where the sun don't shine and hard!

If what I feel is happening, the world will be a much better place for us all!  All that is except for a select few thieves that will be hiding!  The people are waking up more and more each day and wow amazing some even are finally realinzing the Feds are not a Gov agency, imagine tha!

 Come on Dinar and whoever continues to hold back the RV, get out of the way of the Freight Train that is moving toward you fast and let her rip!

Man45 said:  My wife called me over to the computer to read the article and watch the video.  There is not any earth shattering news here, and seems to be played down.  Central banks are involved and some currencies are devalueing.

 One of the opinions spoken was a gold price range of $7k an ounce, rather a range of $3-10k.  One mans opinion.

 The thing that keeps coming to mind is Revalations 6:6 that talks about a days wages just to buy wheat to make bread.  Our increase may well be spent quickly if we are not wise.  I"m wondering if they collapse the entire currency system to create the new society, is right around the corner.

Be wise with our new, possibly short lived, wealth my PD friends.  May God speak to each of us who will hear, and His wisdom and will be heard.

China is getting ready to become top dog with a gold backed currency. Lots of support information becoming available outside of mainstream media. The bottom line is that the petro dollar is on its way to the dust bin of history.

Of course all the other fiat currency based economies will also collapse. An economic tsunami is heading our way. Anyone holding fiat currencies and any assets based on the fiat money system will be swept away.

Sailorgirl said:  I recently read "Bankruptcy of our Nation" by Jerry Robinson.  It provided info on fiat currencies, the petrodollar system, the fed reserve, how banks really work, etc in very easy to understand terms and without being too repetitive. 

It was not a boring or dry read and it provided plenty of facts, statistics, and references to backup what was being presented.  The part at the end on what to invest in was a little light and the author sends you to a bunch of his free online reports that provide info on stuff he's selling and ways you can make money but overall it was very well done.

Although the overall scenario for the US is not pretty at all, the author presented it in such a way that it still gives you some hope if you take the right actions.

 The part that was eye opening to me was understanding how the petrodollar system works. It is one of the most brilliant political and economic strategies in history.  It is the key to so many things and it has far reaching impact.  

Maintaining the petrodollar is the key to life as we know it, that's how important it is.

Excellent writeup Jurie.   Everyone needs to understand the petrodollar system and I sure didn't until recently.

It's also interesting to note that just 5 hours after the 9/11 attacks, Sec of Defense Rumsfeld ordered his staff to develop plans for a strike on Iraq even though we now know Saddam Hussein had no link to Osama Bin Laden or the 9/11 tragedy.  William Clark of Petrodollar Warfare claims it was inspired mostly by Iraq's public defiance of the petrodollar system.

Supposedly, in late 2000, Hussein emerged from a govt meeting and proclaimed that Iraq would soon transition it's oil export transactions in the euro.  Soon after Saddam began preparing to make the switch from pricing his country's oil exports in greenbacks to euros. By 2002 Saddam had fully converted to a petroeuro.    And the rest is history. Very interesting timing to say the least.
