Murder, Cocaine and Environmental Contamination in the Marine Corps

True story of U.S. Marines who were exposed to carcinogens, injured, and continue for fight for health care and compensation written by two Marine veterans.
(IRVINE, CA and JACKSONVILLE, NC)  – The connection is not a square peg in a square hole, but its damn close. Marine Corps leadership were involved in murder, crime scene cover-up, narcotrafficking (cocaine, the drug of choice), the shredding of records, and the denial of injuries from exposure to deadly contaminants at both El Toro and Camp Lejeune.
You don’t have to believe in conspiracies to understand the threat to freedom of a small but powerful group of people in and outside of government subverting the Constitution, effectively executing a coup d’état. Not in the United States, this is a free country, you must be paranoid, we’re the good guys, you say.It is not hyperbole to say that thousands of Americans have fought and died for the right to remain free. Life was too often short for those who served and died to preserve our freedom to ignore the threats of a ‘shadow government.’
Marine Colonel Jim Sabow placed his television on mute, arose from his easy chair, and left his house on Fifth Street at Marine Corps Air Station El Toro through the patio door.  He walked the length of the patio, called the dogs, which were in the back yard and enclosed them in the garage. This was a practice he routinely followed when visitors were expected.  Whether he opened the front door to greet his visitors or went out the back door onto his patio is not known, but we do know that he had only moments to live.
Colonel Sabow, decorated Vietnam fighter with 221 combat missions, met his death at the hands of others.  The unexpected blow to the right side of the head was violent, resulting in unconsciousness.  Occipital skull fragments penetrated into the back of his brain. He was near death due to the massive brainstem trauma in which agonal hyperventilation characteristic of this type of injury occurs. Sabow was aspirating blood from a wound in his pharynx that resulted from a basilar skull fracture. In fact, the tracheae, bronchi, bronchioles and alveoli were filled with blood, doubling the weight of the right lung.  His shotgun was found under his body.  No fingerprints on the shotgun.  No suicide note. There was no mention of the tramline bruise, an indicator of the violent blow to his head, in the autopsy report or the crime scene tampering by three men who flashed government credentials, forcing Naval Investigative Service (NIS) agents to leave the crime scene.
The motive for the murder was to prevent the disclosure of a covert operation to ferry weapons to Central and South America and government sanctioned narcotrafficing on flights into El Toro.  Data processing records were purged on the maintenance of unmarked C-130s; a Marine with knowledge to purge the records unexpectedly promoted, transferred and murdered several years later.  Other Marines who knew of the illegal drugs would meet violent deaths.
In 1985, the same year that trichloroethylene (TCE) was found in several agricultural wells off of El Toro, Camp Lejeune on the East Coast was forced to close down wells contaminated with TCE, PCE benzene, and other toxic chemicals.  As many as 750,000 veterans and their dependents were exposed to Lejeune’s contaminated wells over 30 years (1953-1987).
Congressional hearings and the testimonies of Lejeune veterans and dependents pressured Congress to pass health care for 15 medical conditions but without any provision for VA disability compensation.  Like their El Toro brothers, Lejeune Marines are forced to file disability claims with the VA.  VA claims must be supported by medical nexus opinions, linking the current medical condition to the base well water.  Medical doctors unfamiliar with epidemiology and not the trusting government are naturally hesitant of writing nexus opinions.  The fastest way to a VA denial is to file a disability claim without a medical nexus opinion.  The denial rate of Lejeune VA disability claims is over 84%. Lejeune Marine veterans now sick with cancers and unemployed are left to their own resources to pay the mortgage and put food on the table.
At El Toro, once the premier Marine Corps Air Station, no determination could be made by the government on the impact of toxic chemicals and their health effects.  Too much documentation was missing, but the evidence of toxic exposure was everywhere. You didn’t have to look too hard for it.
At El Toro, fifty-five gallon drums of trichloroethylene (TCE) waste were buried on the base for years to hid them from the Marine Corps Inspector General, base wells sealed in concrete without a well screen inspection; all original well construction drawing are missing; over 40 years of water distribution engineering drawings are missing; the entire set of water distribution drawings redrawn in 1986, the year after TCE was found in agricultural wells downgradient and during the period when Camp Lejeune’s wells were found contaminated with TCE; an El Toro Marine dead from Agent Orange exposure who never served in Vietnam; the dead Marine transported empty 55 gallon drums to the base’s landfills; other Marines  reported they used Agent Orange to spray the fence line to kill vegetation growth; a 200,000 square foot hangar, the former site of a Radium 226 paint room,  shuttered and sealed in 2012 while the State of California required the Navy to redo a radiation survey; the waste water pipes under the former Ra 226 paint room were cut; the half-life of Ra 226 is 1,601 years so if the sewer lines are contaminated with radiation, the cost of digging up the lies and disposal at a hazardous waste site could easily run into hundreds of millions; despite denials by the Navy and EPA, the initial purchase of softened municipal water in 1951 was not enough water to meet the demand for water for both El Toro and the nearby Santa Ana Air Facility, but enough to blend with the hardened well water to reduce corrosion in the El Toro’s water distribution system; subsequent to the purchase, several engineering drawings show the base wells (in the direct path of the TCE plume) as part of El Toro’s water distribution system; none of the wells were marked as abandoned; El Toro’s hand written pumping records stop as of December 1950, over six months before any municipal water was purchased; El Toro denied ownership of the TCE plume spreading into Orange County’s aquifer until a lawsuit forced them to accept responsibility for remediation; after closure in 1999, nearly 1,000 acres of the base were transferred to the FAA who subsequently transferred the acreage to the FBI with the promise of a wildlife corridor vanishing in the wind; ammunition bunkers were located in the transferred acreage in the base’s panhandle. Was this the site where Dr. Chuck Bennett found weapons grade U-238?
The facts are that Marine veterans, dependents, and civilian workers were exposed to toxic chemicals at both Marine Corps Air Station El Toro and Camp Lejeune.  The routes of exposure through ingestion in the water wells are clearly documented at Camp Lejeune and hidden in a fog of missing documentation at El Toro, but nevertheless present. Marines at both bases worked with TCE and other toxic chemicals without protective clothing and face masks. Many have died without ‘connecting the dots’ to military service.  Semper Fidelis, the Marine Corps’ motto, was seriously tarnished by the Corps’ refusal to support Marine veterans and their dependents exposed to toxic chemicals; many of them sick with deadly cancers, including over 80 Lejeune male Marines with male breast cancer.  The murder of Colonel Sabow at El Toro involves a cover-up that continues to this day, including an NCIS cold case investigation bungled in 2010 and a ‘doctored autopsy’ photo made to hide the huge swelling on the right side of Colonel Sabow’s head and upper neck from the force of a violent external blow to the head.

The Constitution did not protect native inhabitants and slaves who were not considered part of the American population, but the universal suppression in the US of non-whites’ rights produced in the end the civil rights movement that brought moral awareness of the wrongs and successfully hitched its cause to the founding documents of the country. Where today is moral awareness as Washington bombs civilian populations around the globe? Where is the moral conscience of the the civil rights movement as the First Black President, the first member of the oppressed class to sit in the Oval Office, validates the Bush Regime’s assertion of the right of the unaccountable executive to ignore habeas corpus and due process? Not satisfied with this crime, Obama asserted the right of the executive branch to murder any citizen suspected, without proof being offered to a court, of undefined “support of terrorism.” Today all Americans have fewer rights than blacks had prior to the Civil Rights Act. Anything, including a column critical of war and the police state, can be declared to be “in support of terrorism.” As the tyrant Bush put it: “You are with us, or you are against us.” The print and TV media and many Internet sites got the message: Serve Washington’s agenda, and will you will prosper. Advertisers and the CIA will pump money into your coffers. Challenge us and you will be demonized and could face a military tribunal, indefinite detention, or assassination. Bradley Manning and Julian Assange are being persecuted for telling the truth. So far, Washington has convinced the public that Washington’s terror is mainly limited to Muslims, who are obligingly demonized by print, TV, and much of the Internet media. However, if Muslim American citizens lack civil liberty, so do all other American citizens. Those who are safe are those who ally with the tyrant and remain subservient. To ally with the tyrant, a United States citizen must have no moral conscience, no sense of justice, no compassion for the innocent and dispossessed. These are the worst kind of Americans; yet, they are the only ones who can succeed in the present environment. Every time I write a column that is the truth or the truth as I am able to discover it, instead of hawking the propaganda line, I move up on the list of those who are persona non grata in the Empire. A writer can find himself demonized and declared a kook simply by reporting findings from distinguished scientists, high-rise architects, structural engineers, first responders, and an international collection of high government officials. Not too long ago a writer or reporter for the Huffington Post discovered to his surprise that Pat Buchanan and I disagreed with all the wars that had been launched to protect us from terrorism. He asked me for an interview, and I agreed. An hour or so after the interview was posted on the Huffington Post, I received an emergency call or email. He had been criticized for interviewing me, “for giving you a forum when you are a 9/11 sceptic.” He was unsure that it was possible for a Reagan presidential appointee to be a 9/11 sceptic and asked if I was. I replied that I had reported the findings of scientists, architects, engineers, and the public testimony of first responders, because I thought these were qualified people whose opinions at least ranked equally with the politicians on the 9/11 Commission and the talking heads on Fox “News” and CNN, none of whom could pass a high school test in the laws of physics, much less high-rise architecture and structural engineering. The Huffington Post writer panicked. Instead of taking down the interview, he felt impelled to assure readers and his boss that he had been deceived. He wrote at the beginning and ending of the interview that he did not know he was interviewing someone about the Iraq War who had given ink to those conspiracy theorists who raised questions about the truthfulness of the US government. He wrote that my views on the wars should be disregarded, because I wrote that scientists, architects, engineers, and first responders provided evidence contrary to the government’s claims. And there you have it. The Huffington Post has far more readers than I do, and far more money. There is no limit on the ability of the Huffington Post to tell and sell the lies of the Agenda. I can remember when I was a Wall Street Journal editor and columnist, a Business Week columnist, a Scripps Howard News Service columnist and appeared regularly in the major mainstream print media and even from time to time on TV talking head programs. Today, the editor or producer who gave me a forum would be fired instantly, and they all know it. It is discouraging that after so many transparent lies and orchestrations--weapons of mass destruction, al-Qaeda connections, Iranian nukes--the majority of Americans still believe the government. Americans are even buying into the line that Syria is ruled by a brutal dictator whose overthrow justifies Washington’s alliance with its 9/11 enemy, al-Qaeda, in order to overthrow a secular ruler who constrains al-Qaeda. Washington has come full circle. Its enemy is now its ally. Washington wasted trillions of dollars and countless lives in eleven years of war and constructed a domestic police state all in order to combat al Qaeda with whom Washington is now allied against the Syrian government. The public’s response to the Boston Marathon Bombing is even more discouraging. Not even King George and his Redcoats could achieve what Homeland Security just pulled off--locking down 100 square miles of Boston and its suburbs with heavily armed troops tramping through citizens’ homes barking harsh orders, all justified by a hunt for one 19-year old suspect. It was the Third Reich’s Gestapo in operation right here in “freedom and democracy” America. Ron Paul is correct that the suspension of civil liberty is a greater threat than the bombing. Note the government’s euphemism for martial law--”shelter-in-place.” Two brothers have been convicted in the media and by the Obama Regime, including the president’s own words, of a bombing without the public ever being presented with any evidence except anonymous unattributed reports and a film of the alleged brothers walking with backpacks, which were ubiquitous. I am old enough to remember when it was impermissible for government and media to convict a person prior to the jury’s verdict. Americans once lived in a free country governed by the rule of law in which a person was innocent until proven guilty. What was the reason or evidence for naming the brothers suspects? Was any reason given, or was the film of the two walking with backpacks simply shown over and over, hour after hour, day after day, with the media reporting that these are the suspects. In other words, was it beat into your brain that they were suspects because there they are in the film? If not, why was the same film shown repeatedly? Fox “News” was still showing the film on April 26, eleven days after the bombing and might still be showing it. Did you experience: “Here are the suspects. See them. They have backpacks. See. We know that they are suspects, because, see, there they are.” When is the last time the media investigated anything? A good candidate for investigation is the post-bombing rampage the brothers allegedly went on, robbing a 7/11 store (later contradicted by local police), killing a campus policeman, shooting a transit cop, high-jacking a SUV and releasing the owner. Why would terrorists seeking to escape in order to strike again call attention to themselves in such outlandish ways and release a car-jacked owner to alert the police of the tag number? If the brothers were willing to kill police with gunfire and innocents with bombs, why release the guy whose vehicle they stole so he could inform the police of the license plate and make the brothers’ capture easier? What is the evidence, other than “reports from authorities,” that these events occurred or had any more connection to the brothers than the falsely reported 7/11 robbery that local police disavowed? Why does the US media simply accept whatever government authorities say? Where is the evidence of a first shoot-out and a second shoot-out? The second shoot- out consisted of the authorities bombarding a motionless youth bleeding from wounds in a boat with multiple volleys of stun grenades and then multiple gunshots. The unconscious 19 year old was unarmed and unable to respond to the boat owner who discovered him. As he lies there, he is shot many times, including through the throat, and is on life support. But the very next day, according to the presstitute media, he is providing hand-written confessions. Was the purpose of the reports of a murderous rampage to create fear among the population so that they would accept martial law and home invasions by armed troops ordering American citizens out of their homes with hands over their heads on the pretext that they might be harboring the Boston Marathon Bomber? The videos of the street celebration in which Bostonians thank the police and of the two Boston families, if not scripted by actors, shows Americans who far from opposing the police state welcome it. A father says that he with his daughter in his arms was forced out of his home by troops pointing automatic rifles at their heads, but that he was thankful for the safety the police provided him by violating every civil right that the Constitution gave him. A woman says it was scary but that “the police are just doing their jobs.” Are Americans now so brainwashed that they attribute their safety to the presence of a Gestapo Police State? Why have detention facilities been built? Why did Homeland Security purchase a billion or more rounds of ammunition? Why does Homeland Security have 2,700 tanks and a para-military force? Why aren’t these questions being investigated? The US Constitution is the product of 900 years of human efforts to restrain brutal government and to make government subject to law. I may be out in left field, but I'm pretty sure that wanting to look OLDER isn't at the top of most people's wish list. Look around you. Erasing time from your appearance is BIG business--from age-defying face creams and makeup to Botox to facelifts, liposuction and tummy tucks, and everything in between. There's nothing wrong with wanting to preserve a more youthful look. But the problem is, many people are unknowingly making mistakes day in and day out that ADD YEARS on to their appearance instead of taking it off. And all the face creams in the world won't change that. So if you want to do all you can to help prevent time from taking its toll on YOU, read on to see if you are guilty of any of the... Seven Deadly Aging Sins 1) There's always room for Jell-O! Overdoing desserts or consuming lots of sugar in general (including soda, sports drinks and lattes) not only pack the pounds on your backside, but it can also make you look very old...FAST. You see, the breakdown of sugars (a process called glycation), damages the collagen that keeps your skin smooth and firm. So you're just asking for wrinkles.   2) You use fads to Iose weight Anytime you either drastically cut calories, eliminate food groups from your diet, rely on "meal replacement" products or any of the other diet fads, you most assuredly cause nutritional imbalances in your body. And not only does that NOT result in weight Ioss and keeping it off, but it also makes you look OLDER! Coverage of the Boston Marathon bombing in the American mainstream media has been filled with updates about an FBI manhunt for a red-haired Muslim who talked to demons, dabbled in exorcism, and walked around carrying other people's brains.

  

If the goal was to forestall pointed questions about Ruslan Tsarni and top CIA official Graham Fuller and their roles in the Tsarnaevs family's frequent trips to Dagestan, they couldn't have played it better.

Even after further arrests the media are still not getting it.  Terrorism is a state-sponsored phenomenon and terrorists rarely act alone.  They normally need help from penetration assets in the target country – manifestly the case with the Boston bombers.  There is usually a support network in the target country and there always has to be someone to provide the cash.

Asking what the terrorists’ motives were is pretty pointless if the target is assigned by the sponsoring intelligence agency.  It was always likely to be the DVD at Boston.  There is therefore no need to ask why Chechens would attack an American target instead of a Russian one.

Since the FBI are penetrated by the DVD there is no great mystery as to why they were allowed to fly freely in and out of the USA and why the FSB’s warnings were ignored.   Further intel has come to light suggesting that the FSB had done really good work in monitoring this family and their associates.   Comparing them with Thames Valley Police is like comparing the US Marines with the Cub Scouts.

Since the FSB, unlike Thames Valley Police, know about the DVD, they will not have been too surprised that the attack was allowed to proceed.  Not the least shameful thing is that the families will be lied to repeatedly in the years ahead, like the 7/7 families were lied to in Britain.  That attack was of course sponsored by GO2, the German operation in London.  We are still lying to the families of the victims of IRA terrorism thirty years after we discovered that the Germans were sponsoring the IRA and that there was a covert German agency called the DVD.  I had a conversation with a minister in the Thatcher government, some years ago, who told me testily that we had known all about the DVD and the IRA in the 1980s.  I could have hit him – why didn’t we do anything about it?
Two comments about prevention of further attacks.  Firstly the usefulness of CCTV has once again been demonstrated.  But for store CCTV these terrorists would never have been identified.  The great thing about commercial CCTV is that retailers can just drop the tapes round to a local TV station.  Had they been official tapes they might have been suppressed on orders from a DVD asset high up in the Department of Justice.  I well recall how CCTV footage of Madeleine McCann in a transport café (truck stop) near Montpelier was suppressed by Paris, once facial recognition technology had confirmed that it was her.  Where the DVD are involved you get official corruption you wouldn’t believe.
I know there are privacy issues but it’s the old public safety/privacy balance.  CCTV makes streets safer.   Privacy comes at a cost.
Secondly, the tragic loss of life has once again spelt out the human cost of our over-generous asylum policy in the West.  It costs far more lives than it saves, both in terms of the numbers of people who die whilst being trafficked and those who die in terrorist attacks carried out by asylum seekers.  The UN Convention on Refugees has been abused to the point where it has become a sick joke.  All Western states should withdraw, putting the emphasis on regional asylum.  Neither Boston terrorist should ever have been allowed anywhere near the United States.
There was a splendid obituary in the Daily Telegraph this week for Commander Vic Sirett of the Royal Navy, who sadly passed on March 31^st.  A Fleet Air Arm helicopter pilot, who pulled off the RN’s first night-time rescue at sea by a helo, of a Sea Vixen crew, he flew with the US Navy at Key West from 1965 to 1967.  In that time he rescued two USAF pilots in the Gulf and a downed US Navy F-4 pilot off the Keys.  Knowing Americans as I do I am sure he was well thanked.
That is one of the nice things about working with Americans.  You’re the Good Guys.  If you supply intelligence to US agencies, as I have, they will usually find a way of covering your butt if the Bad Guys come after you, as they came after me after Operation Vulcan, screaming with fury because our team had forestalled a major terrorist attack.  I was just finishing up a conversation with a very nice admiral in Whitehall this week when an American intelligence officer held back and made sure he was between me and the door!   There was then a very fruitful discussion and I gather he cleared up some serious confusion in the mind of someone in Whitehall who had been running interference on me.  Thanks.  As allies we help each other out.  No American in trouble has ever had to ask me twice for help.  It’s really nice to be able to call in the odd favor in return and not have to ask twice.  Gordon Duff has been brilliant by the way, as have others on the Veterans Today team.
As I predicted the Coalition Government in Britain is in serious trouble. That nice man Nigel Farage’s United Kingdom Independence Party came within two points of matching the Tory vote in yesterday’s county council elections in England.  In the Parliamentary by-election in South Shields for the seat vacated by David Miliband the Liberal Democrats came in seventh.  They only polled about half the vote for the British National Party, possibly because the public don’t see them as being as nice as the BNP.  Their vote was about 1.3% and they are a Coalition partner.
The result is a disaster for Cameron, who will surely now be forced out.  A replacement has been lined up – he’s a very nice chap and very sensible.  Cameron is likely to announce that he wants to spend more time with his family.  They are welcome to him, no offense.

Secret US Court Approved Every Single Domestic Spying Request in 2012

The United States Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court quietly rubber stamped nearly 2,000 government requests to search or electronically monitor people in the United States last year, according to a Justice Department report published this week.

The agency, which oversees requests for surveillance warrants against suspected foreign intelligence agents on US soil, released the report to Senate majority leader Harry Reid (D-Nevada), showing that by approving the 1,856 inquiries “for foreign intelligence purposes,” it had granted every single government request in 2012. The FISC’s approval rating actually jumped by five per cent from 2011 – when it also approved every application.
The FISC was instituted as part of the US Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) in 1978, expanded under the George W. Bush administration, and then reauthorized by Congress for another five years in December of 2012.
The act, commonly referred to act the “warrantless wiretapping” law, authorizes the government to monitor US citizens’ phone calls and emails without first proving probable cause as long as they’re believed to be corresponding with an individual overseas. 
“The 1,856 applications include applications made solely for electronic surveillance, applications made solely for physical search, and combined applications requesting authority for electronic surveillance and physical search,” the report read. “Of these, 1,789 applications included requests for authority to conduct electronic surveillance.” 
David Kris, a former top anti-terrorism attorney at the Justice Department, wrote in the 2012 edition of National Security Investigations and Prosecutions that the FISA Amendments Act also gives the government domestic spying power while stripping away accountability.
“For example, an authorization targeting Al-Qaeda – which is a non-US person located abroad – could allow the government to wiretap any telephone that it believes will yield information from or about Al-Qaeda, either because the telephone is registered to a person whom the government believes is affiliated with Al-Qaeda, or because the government believes that the person communicates with others who are affiliated with Al-Qaeda, regardless of the location of the telephone,” Kris wrote, as quoted by Wired. 
In February of this year the American Civil Liberties Union tried to sue the government in a bid to nullify the law. However, the Supreme Court ruled that, because the court proceedings are kept secret and the American Civil Liberties Union has no way to know if it’s been targeted by the FISA Act, they had no legal standing to sue. 
When the powers under the law were extended last year, the Senate refused to include any amendments that would have prohibited the CIA from reviewing information taken from government surveillance, one of which was proposed by Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Oregon). 
“The amendment I fought to include would have helped bring the Constitutional principles of security and liberty back into balance and I intend to work with my colleagues to see that the liberties of individual Americans are maintained,” Wyden said after the vote.

The poll conducted by OMD UK asked 2,000 adults their opinion on varies aspects of British society as part of a year-long research project.  OMD discovered that only 3% of people trust politicians, while 6% trust the media and 7% trust the bank.
Is it any surprise that trust continues to decline as more people are beginning to wake up to the fact that our society is controlled by
criminal psychopaths who only care about their own wealth, power and preservation.
In light of a myriad of scandals including MP’s expenses, the media silence of high-profile pedophiles and the crimes of the banking elite, it’s finally become clear to the majority of citizens that elements of our establishment will stop at nothing to hide their misdeeds.
The poll also found that 75% of people blame the criminal bankers for the economic crash, however it’s a shame that 25% have not yet realized the truth, while 39% blame Gordon Brown and 27% blame David Cameron.
The report also revealed the hardship of British families with 40% having to sell possessions in order to survive. When asked for a solution to the economic crisis, 53% said that taxyed/">http://ine would revive the economy.

There is an update process going on with many major banks and credit unions over the weekend, including Chase, Wells Fargo, First United Bank, CITIGROUP INC, BANCWEST CORPORATION, DEUTSCHE BANK TRUST CORPORATION, BDCU, BECU, Columbia Bank, Concord Bank, Five Point Credit Union, Kemba Credit Union, and many others.

This seems to be an industry wide update and many services will be unavailable or limited. Each bank is a little different, but they are limiting access to accounts, funds, mobile banking, even allowable purchase amounts on debit and credit cards.
