The latest information from English Common Law: Structure and Principles on Coursera. We’ve reached Week Two and we are delighted so many of you are logging on and taking part in the course- registrations now exceed 42,000 students. It’s been a great first week and we’ve been really impressed with the quality of the interactions in the forums. It’s brilliant that so many of you are willing to share your knowledge of the Common Law as well as your own legal systems. It looks like we’re going to learn much more than the course content during the next six weeks. You’ll find this week’s materials on the Week Two page. As well as the lectures, there is a new reading extract and some more activities. Check out the information and activities in the Extras section as well. We’re starting a new set of questions for the Forums this week so, while we’ve enjoyed the discussions last week, it’s time to move on and learn about different topics. You’ll find this week’s discussion questions in the Week Two section of the Forums. We hope you enjoyed the social media / forum chat on Saturday and if you didn’t catch it, there will be another one this week at the same time – Saturday 8PM BST. Later this week we will also be having a live session with Professor Adam Gearey to discuss some of the issues arising on the forums- we’ll let you know when this will be soon. We also want to make sure that we are listening to you and taking on your feedback as we move forward. We'd be very grateful if you could fill in this short survey to let us know about your experiences in the first week. OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH SOURCE, PART 1

This is the week I rethink everything. After spending the nearly four years since my second awakening trying out external spiritual concepts from self-styled gurus and channeled entities -- all of whom were so certain, so detailed, and so contradictory with their ideas -- it's time to set everything down and sort through it. It's time to take a hard second look at things like the obligation to spiritually evolve, soul contracts, karmic debt bondage, spiritual hierarchies who tightly control spiritual expression, and other such ideas that make my spirit want to curl up in a ball and die forever. And it's time to call BS on the channeled entities who sugarcoat such ideas with their sickly-sweet spiritual aspartame.

Speak of the devil, I can already hear them responding...

"Oh, Ken, you make it all sound so terrible. It's really not like that at all. All those wonderful things you mentioned are there to help you endlessly recycle into slave incarnations on our prison planet... err... allow us to rephrase that last part. We had another Greg Giles moment..."

Yep, it's time to strip my spiritual car down to the frame and rebuild it with genuine parts, and when you strip your spiritual belief system down to its foundation, you start with the most basic beliefs of all: who you are, who God is, and what your relationship is with "him." That is the subject of this entry. And since certainty is the first casualty of being human, I can't tell you that my perspective is the right one; I can only express my hope that it will be of benefit to you as you approach the Truth from your own unique direction.

So to begin, is this what God looks like?...

...Nope, I don't think so. But it is a rather accurate picture of what's going on in our world, because it depicts an incarnate being (like us, but perhaps less energetically dense) pretending to be the "Almighty Creator of All That Is."

The preponderance of evidence seems to suggest that at some point in our past, beings showed up who had advanced technology and/or less limiting incarnate forms that allowed them to put on a rather awe-inspiring magic show. They put on such a convincing performance, in fact, that they convinced the goat herders in certain regions of our planet that they were "gods." And to lord over their new subjects, these wannabe gods left behind a cadre of their servants to whom was given the "divine right" to rule.

Over time, this cadre convinced many others to have faith in the king of their gods, the "God of gods, King of kings," and they taught people that we are lowly creatures he created, and are separate beings from “him.” They also taught us that our apparent imperfections make us loathsome in his sight, so we are disconnected from him unless we seek reconnection through their religions (which act as a barrier and filter to our communion with our true Source).

This bizarre doctrine does not originate from the true God of course; it was established to create a series of self-limiting beliefs in our minds:

> You are a lowly physical animal, not a divine and powerful spiritual being.

> You are disconnected from God.

> You need someone else (some priest or savior) to reestablish and maintain your divine connection.

By implanting these and many other beliefs in us, the slavemasters got us to block our own perception of our connection to God. And without knowledge of that connection, we became nothing more than five-sensed physical animals they could control and exploit.

It is quite a clever con they devised. If they tried to completely deny us any form of spirituality, our innate longing for God would overwhelm their system of control. So instead, they allow us to reach for God through a medium they control. But reaching out for God through a religion is like reaching out for sex through a condom: it can give you many of the same sensations as a real connection, and it is tantalizingly close to the actual experience of communion, but in the end you are blocked.

As I was brought up in the Christian religion, I was endlessly disturbed by what the “holy” people taught me about our relationship to God. They taught me that he created us to spend all eternity bowing down on our knees in worship to him. Yikes!! Is it just me, or does that sound like a hellish eternity of slavery to a vain and insecure dictator? My mind and heart struggled against this message because when I fixed my mind upon God, I perceived a perfect being who was above the human need for validation, and my heart intuited a being of total understanding, limitless grace, and unconditional love.

Once I finally broke free from the prison of fearful ideas that had been erected in my mind by the “faithful,” I began to take note of what my own mind and heart told me about God. The conclusion I finally reached, and how I got there, will be the subject of Part 2.

A new study just published in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) has found convincing evidence that is good news for lung cancer prevention: the combination of Vitamin B6, methionine and folate reduces the chances of lung cancer by a whopping two-thirds.

Lung cancers are some of the most prevalent and difficult to treat cancers. Word wide, lung cancers kill more people than any other form of cancer. According to the National Cancer Institute (NCI), 222,250 Americans will be diagnosed with lung cancer this year and 157,300 will die from lung cancer this year.

Always Eat These Carbs -- Never Those Carbs
I was at a barbecue over the weekend and one of the little kids there was flying around at the speed of light. He was running back and forth, laughing, knocking things over and jumping face first into a mud puddle, completely ignoring his parents as they yelled at him to calm down. His mother smiled embarrassingly at me and said, "He's had a little too much sugar today." Ya think? But the thing is, the dangers of sugar and refined carbohydrates go FAR beyond an out-of-control toddler getting a little muddy. Here's what I mean -- let's first take a look at the different types of carbohydrates and then see their effects on your body.   Carbs from Nature There are 2 types of carbs that occur in Nature -- simple and complex. Simple carbs are comprised of one or two sugar molecules. They're broken down VERY quickly by your body and absorbed directly into your bloodstream, creating a flood of glucose into your veins. Examples include raw sugar, honey and maple syrup. Fruit is also considered a simple carbohydrate, but the sugar in fruit (fructose) raises your blood glucose level MUCH slower (more on that below). Complex carbs, on the other hand, are made up of long strains of sugar molecules, otherwise known as starches. It takes your body MUCH longer to digest complex carbs, so they provide a slow, even, steady supply of glucose to your bloodstream. Examples of complex carbs include vegetables, whole grains and legumes.   Carbs NOT from Nature Thanks to food manufacturers, we have two major "created" carbs that our bodies have to deal with. The first of these is refined carbs. They include white sugar, white flour, white rice and all products made with them (including white bread, breakfast cereals, cookies, cakes, crackers, pastries, pasta, donuts, bagels, etc.) Refined carbs typically start out as complex carbs (such as a beet or a grain of wheat), but the processing strips away most of the vitamins, enzymes, minerals and fiber that were in the original food. Once the food is "stripped" of all its beneficial components, you're basically left with...SUGAR. So refined carbs act just like simple carbs, flooding your bloodstream with glucose. The other "carb creation" is high fructose corn syrup (HFCS). Like its name suggests, HFCS is made from fructose (fruit sugar)--but in a violated, adulterated form that has NEVER occurred in an apple or a pear or a strawberry...or corn for that matter. HFCS is basically seen as a toxin by your body and as such, it has to be broken down by your liver.   Carbs and your body Your body needs carbohydrates--glucose is our body's main source of fuel, so clearly you must have carbs in your diet. The carb of choice here is complex carbs -- they provide a nice even flow of glucose so your body gets what it needs as it needs it. Fruit is also beneficial in moderation--although it causes more of a fast sugar influx, its nutrients, fiber and enzymes are also good for you. Even natural sugar, honey and maple syrup aren't entirely terrible in very limited amounts--such as a dash of honey to sweeten your tea or some maple syrup drizzled on your oatmeal. The REAL health dangers come from the "carb creations"--refined carbs and HFCS. Let's take a closer look...   The health price of carb creations 1- Refined carb wreckage Hyperglycemia (high blood sugar), type 2 diabetes and obesity are the most common results of eating refined carbs. What happens in your body is this: When your bloodstream gets flooded with glucose from refined carbs, your body sends an alert to the pancreas. Then the pancreas releases insulin which tells your cells to "take in" the glucose, thereby bringing your blood glucose level back to where it should be. But when your bloodstream is flooded with glucose repeatedly from a regular intake of refined carbs, your pancreas gets overworked. Eventually it can get to the point where it can't keep up with your insulin needs anymore and/or your cells become resistant to the insulin (they "ignore" the signal to take in the glucose). This causes a buildup of glucose in your blood...otherwise known as hyperglycemia and eventually if it continues, type 2 diabetes. Plus obesity can be in your future too because your cells can only "take in" so much glucose when the insulin sounds the alarm... And the excess over and above what they need is stored as FAT. But it doesn't stop there... Because research now shows that refined carbs can also trigger food cravings similar to the cravings that drug addicts experience! That's right. In a study recently published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, researchers noted that the quick spike and subsequent crash in blood sugar that comes after eating refined carbs activates reward and addiction areas in your brain. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) brain scans of test subjects who drank a highly sweetened drink showed increased activity in a region of the brain called the nucleus accumbens, which has been tied to rewards and cravings. So calling someone a "carb-o-holic" isn't too far from the truth in many cases!   2- HFCS horrors High fructose corn syrup causes its own share of health horrors. First of all, since your liver needs to break it down like a poison, HFCS puts a tremendous stress on your precious organ of detox. And unlike glucose which is burned up by your body, HFCS turns into fatty acids, excess cholesterol and triglycerides, which in turn get stored as FAT. As a matter of fact, artificially processed fructose causes THREE TIMES MORE fat storage than glucose! Not only does this lead to the obvious weight gain, but these fatty deposits also accumulate in your liver and muscle tissues and lead to insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes. Plus unlike other foods, eating fructose has NO effect on your hunger hormones--in other words, you can eat it by the truckload and not ever feel full. Sounds like a recipe for obesity to me. In addition, studies have shown unsafe levels of mercury in high fructose corn syrup. Mercury acts as a poison to your brain and nervous system. It has been linked to fertility problems, memory and vision loss, and trouble with blood pressure regulation. Claim: Obama hid 'gay life' to become president

Chicago homosexual community shocked he could keep it secret

A prominent member of Chicago’s homosexual community claims Barack Obama’s participation in the “gay” bar and bathhouse scene was so well known that many who were aware of his lifestyle were shocked when he ran for president and finally won the White House.

“It was preposterous to the people I knew then to think Obama was going to keep his gay life secret,” said Kevin DuJan, who was a gossip columnist in Chicago for various blogs when Obama was living in the city as a community organizer and later a state senator.

“Nobody who knew Obama in the gay bar scene thought he could possibly be president,” said DuJan.

DuJan, founder and editor of the Hillary Clinton-supporting website HillBuzz.org, told WND he has first-hand information from two different sources that “Obama was personally involved in the gay bar scene.”

“If you just hang out at these bars, the older guys who have been frequenting these gay bars for 25 years will tell you these stories,” DuJan said. “Obama used to go to the gay bars during the week, most often on Wednesday, and they said he was very much into older white guys.”
Obama, DuJan said, is “not heterosexual and he’s not bisexual. He’s homosexual.”

Investigative journalist Wayne Madsen, who worked with the National Security Agency from 1984 to 1988 as a Navy intelligence analyst, confirmed DuJan’s claims.
“It is common knowledge in the Chicago gay community that Obama actively visited the gay bars and bathhouses in Chicago while he was an Illinois state senator,” Madsen told WND.
WND also spoke with a member of the East Bank Club in Chicago, who confirmed Obama was a member there and was known to be a homosexual. The upscale fitness club, which has some 10,000 members, is not a “gay” facility. But it’s one of a number of places identified by the Chicago homosexual community as a “gay gym,” where homosexuals meet and engage in sexual activity.

In April, WND reported a federal judge dismissed a libel case against Larry Sinclair, a homosexual who claimed Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign had paid to rig a polygraph test regarding Sinclair’s sensational charge that he had sex and used cocaine twice with Obama while Obama was an Illinois state senator. Sinclair tells his story in “Barack Obama & Larry Sinclair: Cocaine, Sex, Lies & Murder.”

WND also reported former radical activist John Drew has said that when he met Obama when Obama was a student at Occidental College, he thought Obama and his then-Pakistani roommate were “gay” lovers.

In addition, rumors have swirled around Obama’s relationship with his personal aide and former “body man,” Reggie Love, who resurfaced on the eve of the Republican National Convention to support his old boss. Love resigned from the White House in November 2011 after compromising photographs of him as a college student received wide circulation.
WND also has documented in two separate articles, here and here, that Obama wore a gold band on his wedding ring finger from the time he attended Occidental College through his student days at Harvard Law School.

DuJan said that during Obama’s first presidential campaign, “there was fear in the gay community” about talking openly about Obama being homosexual, particularly after the murder in December 2007 of Donald Young, the openly gay choir director at Jeremiah Wright’s Trinity United Church of Christ, who was known to be a close friend of Obama.
“People did not want to talk openly about Obama being gay,” he said.
“Then, when we saw how Larry Sinclair was demonized, anybody who would expose Obama worried they would be silenced if they dared to speak the truth about Obama’s gay life,” DuJan said.

‘Obama’s secrets’
DuJan said he has been told “Obama’s secrets would have to come out just like John Edwards’ secrets came out.”

He said Obama stopped going to gay bars and bathhouses in Chicago when he began running for the U.S. Senate in 2004.

“Back then, Obama could walk around Chicago and people generally wouldn’t recognize him, even though he was a state senator in the Illinois assembly at the time,” DuJan said.

DuJan insisted that while he’s a supporter of Hillary Clinton, he holds no personal animus toward Obama. He said he campaigned for Clinton in 2008 “because I had waited for years for her to be able to run.”

“I opposed Obama not because I’m a racist, or that I hate Obama, I just knew the type of person Obama associated with in Chicago,” he said.

He pointed to Obama’s association with convicted Chicago real estate magnate Tony Rezko, Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan and Rev. Wright.

“Obama was a dirty politician that the media never wanted to vet – that’s what concerned me about Obama,” Du Jan said.

DuJan spoke further of his claims about Obama in an interview Monday night on Andrea Shea King’s show on BlogTalkRadio.com, which included questions from WND during the last half of the show.

Madsen published an article in his Wayne Madsen Report in May 2010 claiming Obama and Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel were members of the same bathhouse in Chicago.
“President Obama and his chief of staff Rahm Emanuel are lifetime members of the same gay bathhouse in uptown Chicago, according to informed sources in Chicago’s gay community, as well as veteran political sources in the city,” Madsen wrote.

He said the bathhouse, “Man’s Country,” catered “to older men,” noting “it has been in business for some 30 years and is known as one of uptown Chicago’s ‘grand old bathhouses.’”
Madsen wrote his 2010 report after traveling to Chicago to interview bartenders and customers at several “gay” bars.

DuJan gave WND a list of “gay” bars in Chicago where older customers hang out and tell stories about how Obama, prior to 2004, frequented visited to pick up men for sex, including several on Halstead Street, widely known as an “uber-gay Chicago street.

Writing in HillBuzz.org Tuesday, DuJan said rooms at Man’s Country bathhouse are still referred to as the “presidential suite,” or the “Oral Office,” because “the current President used to haunt the place when he was a just another Illinois state senator that no one had ever heard of or cared about.”

DuJan said he believes that, someday, “all of this is going to be as public knowledge as JFK’s affair with Marilyn Monroe and the other women he cavorted with while married to Jackie.”
“Someday,” he said, “in the next 10-20 years, everyone will know all about Man’s Country, and the place will no doubt get a plaque of sometime commemorating that place as a gay hangout for the future leader of the free world.”

A gun report ordered in by Obama has ended up highlighting the fact that legal guns are actually saving lives and diffusing crime. Woops!

In a recent study orchestrated by the CDC and carried out by the Institute of Medicine and National Research Council, it was found that individuals involved in violent crimes who defended themselves using techniques other than carrying a gun were more likely to be injured when compared to those who were carrying a concealed firearm.

All-in-all, the Obama ordered report ended up finding more pros than cons in regards to the right to an open or concealed weapon. The report also reminds us of the numerous causes of gun deaths, citing that most gun deaths are at the hands of those who used a gun for their suicide — not homicide. The report highlights the poor state of America’s suffering mental health. The report states that suicide by guns outweighs the amount of deaths caused by violent crimes by 61%.

Anthony Gucciardi recently conducted an interview with Representative Joe Carr from Tennessee on this very issue:

The study then goes on to detail the prevalence of self-defense with a firearm, revealing that:

“Defensive use of guns by crime victims is a common occurrence [...]. Almost all national survey estimates indicate that defensive gun uses by victims are at least as common as offensive uses by criminals, with estimates of annual uses ranging from about 500,000 to more than 3 million per year, in the context of about 300,000 violent crimes involving firearms in 2008.”

The study also mentions mass shootings, and how these scenarios are the least common shootings of all. The study cites that since 1983, there have been approximately 547 victims and 476 injuries of mass shootings. To put that into perspective, thousands are killed each year from bats and human hands as Anthony Gucciardi has detailed in the mega article ‘A Brief And Bloody History of Gun Control‘.

In closing, this report is a perfect example of the facts outweighing both rumor and engineered public perception. The Second Amendment allows for enhanced self-defense, and most importantly allows law-abiding citizens to defend themselves from criminals.

The information logged into government and organizational websites are done hours before. It is unlikely you'd see the US Treasury website update with the actual rates the day of.

So when the rate shows and we make the call to the bank are we locked in at that rate,and will stay there until app.Things could change that rate before app need help on this.
