Here's what happens when a central bank goes bust

It's not something people really understand... there's apparently some Wizard of Oz type figure at the top of the hill pulling all the levers of the monetary system. And we just trust them to be good guys. This is partially true. Today's financial system is dominated by central bankers who have been awarded nearly dictatorial control of global money supply. In allowing them to set interest rates, they are able to control the 'price' of money, thus controlling the price of... everything. This power rests primarily in the hands of four men who control roughly 75% of the entire world money supply: Zhou Xiaochuan, People's Bank of China Mario Draghi, European Central Bank Haruhiko Kuroda, Bank of Japan Ben Bernanke, US Federal Reserve Four guys. And they control the livelihoods of billions of people around the world. So, how are they doing? We could wax philosophically about the dangers of fiat currency. Or the dangers of the rapid expansion of their balance sheets. Or the profligacy of wanton debasement through quantitative easing. But let's just look at the numbers. In theory, a central bank is like any other bank. It has income and expenses, assets and liabilities. For a central bank, assets are typically securities or commodities which have value in the international marketplace, such as gold or US Treasuries. Central bank liabilities are all the trillions of currency units floating around... dollars, euros, yen, etc. The difference between assets and liabilities is the bank's equity (or capital). And this is an important figure, because the higher the capital, the healthier the bank. Lehman Brothers famously went under in 2008 because they had insufficient capital. They had assets of $691 billion, and equity of just $22 billion... about 3%. This meant that if Lehman's assets lost more than 3% of their value, the company wouldn't have sufficient cushion, and they would go under. This is exactly what happened. Their assets tanked and the company failed. So let's apply the same yardstick to central banks and see how 'safe' they really are: - US Federal Reserve: $54 billion in capital on $3.57 trillion in assets, roughly 1.53%. This is actually less than the 1.875% capital they had in December. So the trend is getting worse. European Central Bank: 3.69% Bank of Japan: 1.92% Bank of England: 0.843% Bank of Canada: 0.532% Each of these major central banks in 'rich' Western countries is essentially at, or below, the level of capital that Lehman Brothers had when they went under. What does this mean? Think about Lehman again. When Lehman's equity was wiped out, it caused a huge crisis. The company's liabilities instantly lost value, and almost everyone who was a counterparty to Lehman Brothers lost a lot of money because the company could no longer pay its debts. Accordingly, if the US Federal Reserve's assets unexpectedly lose more than 1.5% of their value, the Fed's equity would be wiped out. This means that any counterparty holding the Fed's liabilities (i.e. Federal reserve notes) would lose. More specifically, that means everyone holding dollars. Theoretically if a central bank becomes insolvent, it can be bailed out. It happened in Iceland a few years ago. There's just one problem with that thinking. Iceland's government wasn't in debt at the time. So they were able to borrow money in order to bail out their central bank. Today the government is in debt over 100% of GDP, but the central bank is solvent. But governments in the US, Europe, Japan, England, etc. are all too broke to bail out their central banks. These governments are already insolvent. So if the central bank becomes insolvent, there won't be anyone to bail them out. This is one of the strongest indicators of all that the financial system as we know it is finished. When central banks can no longer credibly issue liabilities, and their home government are too broke to bail them out, this paper currency standard can no longer function. Such data really underscores the importance of owning real assets such as productive land and precious metals. Given its nominal roller coaster ride lately, there has certainly been a lot of scrutiny and skepticism about gold. But to paraphrase Tony Deden of Edelweiss Holdings, if you dispute the validity of gold as a hedge against declining fiat currency, that makes you, by default, a paper bug. Elliott Abrams: Kerry's Mideast Talks 'Will Not Go Anywhere'

Former presidential adviser Elliott Abrams tells Newsmax that
Israeli-Palestinian peace talks being arranged by Secretary of
State John Kerry "will not go anywhere" — and predicts Israel
could strike Iran in just six months.

Abrams also says he opposes imposing a no-fly zone in Syria,
and supports the administration's decision to suspend delivery
of fighter jets to Egypt, saying the Egyptians "need bread" more
than jets.

Abrams served in the State Department under President Ronald
Reagan and as special assistant to the president and deputy
national security adviser for global democracy strategy under
George W. Bush. He is now a senior fellow for Middle Eastern
Studies at the Council on Foreign Relations.

In an exclusive interview with Newsmax TV, Abrams said of
Kerry's getting the Israelis and Palestinians to agree to restart
peace talks, "They’ve gone back to the table mostly as a favor
to Secretary Kerry and because they don’t want to be blamed.

"Frankly, these talks will not go anywhere. Israel's not going to
go back to those '67 [borders]. Talks may start, and I hope they
don't break down quickly, but I don't really see the basis for
getting to a peace agreement here. I don't know why Secretary
Kerry is optimistic about this."

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has recently suggested
that time is running out to stop Iran's nuclear ambitions. Asked if
he foresees an Israeli military action in the near future, Abrams
responds: "I wouldn’t say the near future but the Israelis are
determined to prevent Iran from getting a nuclear weapon.

"We're going to have some negotiations in August with this new
Iranian president and the Israelis realize time is running out. So
if the United States cannot prevent Iran from moving steadily
forward toward a nuclear weapon, the Israelis will strike maybe
within the next six or nine months," Abrams says.

Abrams also said suspending delivery of four F-16 jets to Egypt
is "the right thing to do. For one thing, our law says when there's
a coup, when the military removes an elected president, we should
suspend aid. And there was a coup — the military in Egypt threw
out a president.

"We may not have liked him. He may have been unpopular. But
it was still a coup so we need to follow our law," Abrams says.
"And whatever the Egyptians need now, they need bread, they
need oil, they need economic reform, they don't need more
F-16s."

U.S. Army Gen. Martin Dempsey says the Obama administration
is deliberating whether to use military power in Syria and to perhaps
impose a no-fly zone.

But Abrams says: "I'm not in favor of a no-fly zone."

"The amount of people and planes and money that it takes, and
the risks that we would run, are very great and it doesn't do what
you're trying to do," said Abrams. "You're trying to stop this kind
of terrorist activity by the Assad regime but a lot of the damage
is done by artillery, when they fire shells into neighborhoods and
apartment houses and homes. That wouldn't be touched at all by
a no-fly zone."

As to whether Dempsey should be reconfirmed for a second term
as chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Abrams says: "I'm really
 concerned about Gen. Dempsey because the way he's handled
Syria has been really unacceptable.

"He suggests we have no options, everything we'll do will get us
into an Iraq-type war, will cost billions, there's nothing we can do.
Those are policy questions and the things he's been saying have
really tied the president's hands and been meant to tie his hands
and that's inappropriate for the military. The policy should come
from the civilians," Abrams says.

The National Security Agency’s phone records and data gathering
program, revealed recently by NSA contractor Edward Snowden,
has survived a legislative challenge in the House.

"I'm glad it has," Abrams says of the vote.

"I really side with those that think the invasion of privacy here
is minimal because they're not listening to the content of the
calls, they're just seeing the numbers. We need it if we want to
avoid another 9/11-type tragedy.

"We're all concerned about invasions of privacy but the invasion
here would be if some guy in a federal office were listening to your
phone calls. That is not happening. This is just computers gathering
the numbers and trying to see relationships among the numbers,"
Abrams says. "I don't think people should be so worried about this
and we have really good testimony from former counterterrorism
officials that this helps keep us safe."

President Barack Obama was critical of President Bush's policies
on terrorism, but some say his record in fighting terrorism reflects
the same approach he campaigned against. For example, he’s
expanded the drone strikes program as well as the phone records
and data program, and he hasn't closed Guantanamo Bay.

"It is accurate to say there is a [Bush-Obama] continuum because
the threats did not change on Inauguration Day in 2009, and what
President Obama has found out is that a lot of the things he said
during the campaign were just wrong," Abrams tells Newsmax.

"What he's finding out is that we need to do many of these things.
He has expanded the drone program and kept Guantanamo Bay open.
So this is a continuum that shows that some things are above
and beyond politics."

( I am using "HOA" to simplify the complexity of the many names for these communities.  In using "HOA," I am including COA's, POA's, MUD's, PUD's (CIC's, CID's).

     Please take the time to go to the link and read this entire article! In my opinion, this article is really important, though, as PIke County is right next to Monroe County, PA and the nightmare in HOA' s has been long and enduring and they know that.  It is not "the people" as the Pike County, PA, District Attorney, Ray Tonkin, states, but the ABUSIVE BOARDS (some boards or individual board members), maybe some INDUSTRY, and some ATTORNEYS and those associated, like insurance agents and banksters, in my opinion and experience.  I hope Mr. Tonkin will look at the facts and the cases and reconsider his opinion!
 They are wrong and hopefully, this is another "crack," an opening, to expose this mess and criminality forced upon innocent people in their homes.
      I believe, last I heard, Monroe and Pike counties in PA have the highest percentage of planned communities and populations in planned communities in the country.  Go back and view the Monroe Foreclosure (fraud closure) study from 2003.  Absolutely despicable!

I ROUTINELY send the man who headed this up, Ted Herman, on the HOA horrors in PA and some on the national level.  He claims his job was to look at the water systems servicing and focus was on that.  OK!  I have spoken with him a few times and continue to email him on the atrocities, lack of oversight and frauds upon the courts and the people, by those in the system that are supposed to be upholding the rights of the innocent, not enriching these thieves, thug and bullies, who may be their friends.  The taking of innocent peoples homes, livelihoods and security to enrich these perpetrators and criminals, to cover up the actual crimes of the perpetrators is despicable!  The victims need and deserve to be rectified.  Vulnerable populations, including single female and single parent households and unsuspecting homeowners are the hardest hit and selectively targeted for this malicious, outrageous legal abuse, criminality and property theft for the benefit of the perpetrators and their associates. Talk to the victims and you will get  the truth!  Investigate the HOA boards, attorneys, insurance agents, some banksters and the courts and you will find out who the real criminals in these groups are!  It is sad that an entire industry has become so entrenched with criminality and injustices, forced and perpetrated against innocent homeowners, for the benefit of a few!  How about the same type of HOA investigation taking place in Las Vegas (hoacorruption.com, http://www.justice.gov/criminal/vns/caseup/hoa-cases.html) for this area of Pennsylvania?

DINGMAN — Planned communities, which make up of lion's share of new development in Pike County, come with a host of problems ranging from costly legal battles to the spread of heroin addiction, according to a recent discussion among community associations and elected officials.
The 21-member Alliance of Community Associations was founded seven years ago so that planned communities, in joining forces, could work for the good of its overall membership.
“The problems surrounding planned communities are very complicated," said State Representative Mike Peifer (R-139 District), who, with Pike County District Attorney Ray Tonkin, were guest speakers at the alliance's July 11 meeting. "Eighty percent of all new housing since 2000 is in planned communities."
Pennsylvania's Uniform Planned Community Act of 1997 regulates homeowners' associations that own or maintain common areas. Typically, a homeowners' association will own, maintain, or control open spaces, entrance gates, streets, street lights, walking trails, beaches, hydrants, storm water management systems, and on-site septic systems, unless these services and amenities are dedicated to the municipality in which they are located.
Peifer said the Uniform Planned Community Act is a good document but it has no “teeth” to it.
John Crerand, president of the Alliance of Community Associations, said the Act needs to be amended so that the answer to every problem arising between homeowners and their community boards of directors is not always “sue me.” This is the only legal route an individual homeowner can take, but it is cost-prohibitive, he said.
Dick Hanel of Marcel Lakes said the security of dams is one of the most pressing problems facing planned communities. Lakes, made possible by dams, are often the most sought-after feature among prospective home buyers. But Hanel said the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection wants all dams to protect against a 500-year flood height increase, which also comes with a prohibitive cost.
“Marcel Lakes would need to first get a design expert in at a cost of almost $100,000," Hanel said. "How can the state help us?”
Peifer told Hanel the state contains many high-hazard dams.
“Trying to find money is a big issue," Peifer said. "I have no answer.""

Following our initial uncovering of the manipulation and monopolization of the metals warehousing business two years ago, the last few days have seen the public's attention grabbedby the reality of what the banks are actually doing. Following this week's hearing, as the Fed reconsiders banks roles in non-banking businesses (and the 'societal benefit'), it seems the CFTC has woken up. As the WSJ reports, the Department of Justice has opened an initial probe into the metals warehousing industry and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission has also sent letters to some firms telling them to preserve documents, in what is likely the beginning stages of an investigation.

The airships are part of Raytheon’s Joint Land Attack Cruise Missile Defense Elevated Netted Sensor System, or JLENS, and when all is said and done they’ll offer the United States military what the defense contractor calls “an affordable elevated, persistent over-the-horizon sensor system” that relies on “a powerful integrated radar system to detect, track and target a variety of threats.” Raytheon has just wrapped up a six-week testing period in the state of Utah and is now sending its JLENS fleet to the Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland. Once there, the Army intends to get some hands-on experience that will eventually culminate in launching the pair of airships over Washington, DC. The system can be set up to operate on its own for an entire month without requiring refueling, and offers the Pentagon surveillance capabilities that dwarf other options at a penny of the cost. Its manufactures say JLENS “enables commanders to defend against threats including hostile cruise missiles, low-flying manned and unmanned aircraft, tactical ballistic missiles, large caliber rockets and moving surface vehicles such as boats, SCUD-launchers, automobiles and tanks.” “Affordable defense from real world threats,” Raytheon touts the system on its website. To provide that security, though, the Army will send its integrated pair of airships — around 75 yards in length each — high into the sky carrying “powerful radars that can look deep into enemy territory.” First, however, the residents of the metropolitan Washington, DC area — and those in around a dozen states stretching the mid-Atlantic into New England — will be asked to ignore a pair of sophisticated spying machines. But while that tracking is designed to go after enemy drones and spot other suspicious activity, it is also touted as being able to provide a good enough image of moving land targets — or essentially anything. In a press release from February, Raytheon said the JLENS surveillance radar can “simultaneously track hundreds of threats.” Of course, the surveillance ship is only half of the JLENS program. That aircraft, one of the two tethered blimp-like vessles, is equipped with the appropriate lenses to wage sophisticated surveillance missions. Also included in the package is a separate ship equal in size that contains fire control radar that picks up data about incoming threats and then communicates with separate missile systems that can then wage attacks, or counter-attacks. “We’re proving blimps can see more than just the 50-yard line,” JLENS program director Doug Burgess told Popular Science this week. “We really feel like we’re at the point now — development is complete — and the system is ready to be deployed wherever it’s needed.” Screenshot from YouTube user raytheoncompany According to PopSci, the JLENS already successfully completed two exercises in 2012 in which it guided a missile to shoot down other missiles — one over sea, another over land. I just got off the phone with D this morning and before Skype decided they didn't want us having the call by making the line so fuzzy she sounded like a Spanish speaking robot that was about to run out of batteries, what I did make out was the level of excitement in D's voice about all the developments transpiring in the fore and behind the scenes. It was the exact same when I spoke to Heather a few days ago. I know the DOV documents aren't out yet (and I wish they were just as much as everyone else) but I've learned it's for a very good reason. Timing now is EVERYTHING. We know there are those out there who will do everything within their power to prevent what's coming. Unbinding what has been bound for hundreds of years is no easy task. It requires an incredible amount of planning and precision. One mis-step and it brings about the old one step forward only to take ten steps back scenario. I KNOW for certain big things are about to go down and I appreciate it fully now when D or Heather say they can't share certain details over Skype calls. That just tells me they're being smart about what they allow to get out. You can't play a game of poker with your hand turned backwards now can ya? :) ~BK

I have the most awesomest research team currently grabbing info and links and helping me pull together the links that show what might be one of the biggest exposures of what is actually going on in the world of finance. Along with the RV, the "New" financial system, and all the banking fraud that's been going on in the back ground, while "they" are setting up the planet to move into a brand new system of financial fraud that's bigger than anything most people could possibly imagine.

The research team is going through the SEC filing listings and other "regulatory bodies", and corporate annual reports..... betcha they find all kinds of interesting things hidden in there, hmmmmm? Just how many banks globally do you control now? And all those banks comprehensive annual financial reports, I'm sure they are all very enlightening. Quite a house of cards, eh? Wonder what Deutsche Bank's controllers think of that? You've pretty much run out of all those stashes of hidden federal reserve notes that you kept sending over to the US to payoff, ... I mean "pay for" the RV. Too bad that neither you nor the UST can spend any of them. But it does kinda make me wonder what you plan on doing with all those worthless pieces of paper. Can't throw them away (that would be littering), can't allow them into circulation, no country or central bank will accept them as payment for, well..... anything. Unless of course you're laundering them into other currencies? You know, like the Zimbabwe dollar? I mean, if you could convince "someone" to revalue that currency (or any one of several others) at a colossally HUGE increase, you know... just for a few hours.... just long enough for you and your buddies to "cash in", perhaps for Iraqi Dinar? Or Dong? Yes I can see that you might make a bit of money off of that, wouldn't you? Hundreds of Billions on the dollar? Of course that puts you really into a bind now, doesn't it? Because all those Dinar and Dong have no value at all until THEY revalue, right? Which would of made a marvelous manifestation of moolah .... if the original plan had actually worked. But it didn't, did it? All the energetic signatures for the St. Germaine Trust, Prosperity Packages, or any other "current funds" just aren't working are they?......

I imagine that you're a wee bit miffed right about now! That's what happens when the "energetics" aren't on your side any more.
