As I tell You that IF Iraq has FAILED to lift the 000 of their currency to improve their exchange rate .. AND THEY KNOW THIS .. Then watch the IMF embarrass them.

They were given full permission to do this on their own with or without M this year.

Just LIKE the USA Troops .. The IMF will also take over to finish the job if need be.

"I invite Indian companies to invest in Iraq. There are great opportunities and wide avenues in different sectors," he added.

Payment for trade in local currencies will to some extent help India in dealing with the exchange rate volatility and declining value of rupee, which yesterday slipped to a lifetime low of 65.56 against the US dollar intra-day.  LINK

Why would India do that if the currency (dinar) isn't traded internationally?

They are getting US dollars right now from any sales to Iraq.

Would you accept dinar if the only place you can exchange it as at the CBI in Iraq and at the current value??? - unlesssssssssssss you are speculating that the value of the dinar is going to increase sustainably over your currency in the near future.

You have to have a presence in Iraq to accept local currency, you can't send it outside the CBI (Iraq) currently. They have to convert it at the auctions to US dollars to send it to India.

I don't know but this seems to shed some light on they are going international soon???

There's seems to be more to the story (statement) then they are shedding light on. Hmm?

My wife and I watched the money shows into the wee hours of the morning. There is a lot of confusion on the 3 hour shut down. Post By Bluebeach » August 23rd, 2013, 1:37 pm  •  [Post 280] Alan, the part that always catches my attention on these type of 'computer problems' is that you would have to believe that their entire IT department is just sitting there scratching their heads wondering what happened and further that they are too stupid to figure it out, not to mention the part about having purchased crappy hardware.

It's just doesn't ring true. It's one thing for you and me to have a computer malfunction (which is what the articles imply you could relate to), it's another thing to have something this big go this wrong in a system that is being manned by the brightest minds in the country.

I do agree though, not everything is smoke and likewise not everything is related to the dinar - but 'glitch' is a cop-out in my world.

India is requesting payment be made in India's currency (ruple) to help India's currency situation. Will this force Iraq to raise the value of their currency to do business?

In the NBA special from New Delhi told all of Iraq [where] that the Minister of Indian Commerce and Industry Anand Sharma said on Friday that his country was considering the possibility that the bilateral trade with Iraq in the two currencies rupee and the dinar instead of the dollar in order to face devaluation of the Indian rupee and exchange rates volatile.

The Indian minister said that the issue of payment in local currencies in trade between the two countries will be discussed during the bilateral meetings between Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki and Minister Indians.

"We are exploring the possibilities (pay in the local currency, the dinar and the rupiah), we have to import large and we will certainly discuss this issue.

It is known that the bilateral trade between India and Iraq have now reached about 21 billion U.S. dollars.

Meanwhile, al-Maliki has called in a meeting organized by the Chambers of Industry Indian industry to take advantage of business opportunities in different sectors in Iraq, such as agriculture, health and education in Iraq.

NEW DELHI—India and Iraq will explore the possibility of a payment mechanism in their local currencies as the nations seek to expand their business partnerships, Indian Trade Minister Anand Sharma said Friday.

Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, who is in India on a four-day visit, said his country will seek partnerships with India in the oil-and-gas, chemical and agricultural sectors.

India and Iraq are scheduled to sign an agreement on cooperation in the energy sector later in the day, which is expected to substantially increase fuel supplies to India.

The details of the agreement will be disclosed only at the time of its signing, according to Mridul Kumar, a joint secretary at India's foreign ministry.

Iraq is the second-largest supplier of crude oil to India after Saudi Arabia. India's crude-oil imports from Iraq are estimated at about $20 billion annually.

Last year, India introduced a rupee payment mechanism with another oil exporter, Iran. Under that system, worked out by New Delhi and Tehran to skirt Western sanctions against Iran, India places rupee-denominated payments in an Indian bank to pay for oil.

Funds are debited from that account when Iran purchases Indian goods that include grains, drugs, consumer products and auto parts.  LINK

Technically if you're going to trade it on the FOREX you need four zeros to the right of the decimal. Hmm?

The placement of the decimal point depends on whether or not it is a JPY (Japanese YEN) currency pair. If it is, then two digits appear after the decimal point.

For all other currency pairs, there are four digits to the right of the decimal point. For example, EUR/USD looks like this: 1.3053 ...but USD/JPY looks like this: 84.23 ...now, a "pip" is what the last digit to the right of the decimal point is called.

Thus, if something moved from 1.2345 to 1.2350, it is said to have moved five pips. To have three digits to the right of the decimal point, like the currencies currently listed on the CBI website, means this listing is now viewed as having a "fractional" position for trade, or one-tenth of a pip.

This is good news for traders because such currencies now have narrower trading spreads. Instead of trading whole pips, like a 3 as the last digit to the right of the decimal point, you see these currencies having a more narrow trading spread of 2.2, or 2.6.

If a currency is even, or what is termed "zeroed out", like 1166.000, the new last digit to the third place, right of the decimal, would appear like 1166.002, or 1166.006.

This means lower transaction costs, over time. Think of it as having the ability to use dimes to break apart an uneven dollar amount, rather than just rounding up, or paying by increments instead of whole minutes on your cellphone.

Two weeks after the Obama administration announced charges against suspects in the Benghazi attack, a large portion of the U.S. team that hunted the suspects and trained Libyans to help capture or kill them is leaving Libya permanently.
Special operators in the region tell Fox News that while Benghazi targets have been identified for months, officials in Washington could "never pull the trigger." In fact, one source insists that much of the information on Benghazi suspects had been passed along to the White House after being vetted by the Department of Defense and the State Department -- and at least one recommendation for direct action on a Benghazi suspect was given to President Obama as recently as Aug. 7.
Meanwhile, months after video, photo and voice documentation on the Benghazi suspects was first presented to high-level military leaders, the State Department and ultimately the White House, prison breaks in the country have eroded security. U.S. special forces have now been relegated to a "villa," a stopover for the operators before they're shipped out of the country entirely.
"We put American special operations in harm's way to develop a picture of these suspects and to seek justice and instead of acting, we stalled. We just let it slip and pass us by and now it's going to be much more difficult," one source said, citing 1,200 prisoners escaping two weeks ago. "It's already blowing up. Daily assassinations, bi-weekly prison escapes, we waited way too long."
The latest development raises questions about when the attackers will be brought to justice in the murder of Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans last September.
The special operators are starting to get frustrated at the lack of action, and Fox News has been told by multiple sources that one special forces leader "literally yelled" at former Libyan Chief of Mission William Roebuck "and told him, 'so you're willing to let these guys get away with murder?'"
The outburst was "met with crickets," the sources said.
Asked about what actions have been taken on the suspects, the U.S. Department of Justice declined to comment. However, a senior U.S. official with knowledge of the situation in Libya suggested there is always intelligence to be gained by simply watching and listening to the suspects.
In addition, Pentagon officials disputed what the operators in question are claiming, saying that group was not specifically tasked with finding the Libyan suspects responsible for the Benghazi attack. These officials said other forces out of Fort Bragg are tasked with that mission, and they are not leaving. Pentagon officials also say the trainers, which were authorized by Congress under part of the defense budget to facilitate training of Libyans for counterterrorism, were not there to track the Benghazi suspects. They insist congressional funding is very clear in its mission: for training locals in counterterrorism.
However, special operators in the region counter the claims and suggest the Pentagon and State Department are playing with words, saying those being pulled are in fact tasked with both training the Libyans and identifying Benghazi attack suspects. "The training is partly a cover and some of these guys ... provided the information on suspects directly to U.S. military commanders and the U.S. State Department last November and again in January. They are there and trained to find, fix and finish," one said.
Fox News reported earlier this year that American forces had identified suspects by the end of November 2012, and reported on their whereabouts to Roebuck last January, yet no action was taken. They returned again in January to identify and locate these same suspects after being requested to do so by military leaders. In the months since, the operators in the region have been sitting in de facto standby, despite the Justice Department charges being filed.
To make matters worse, the U.S. trainers have been sitting in their Libyan "villa" now for a number of days after a Libyan military leader kicked the Americans out of the camp where they had been standing-up a Libyan special forces team for nearly a year, backed by U.S. taxpayer dollars. The maneuver by the Libyan chief of defense has "left our guys high and dry," and this same chief has locked down Tripoli as well, Fox News is told. The sources say U.S. leaders have now let the Libyan government occupy the special forces camp -- and in turn undermine the effort to train a legitimate force capable of countering Al Qaeda, which was the initial assignment before the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi.
The men tell Fox News their mission was to capture or kill the suspects in question, and they briefed the acting U.S. ambassador in Libya and the senior CIA representative in the country. The men were toith the one-year anniversary of the attack looming.
Meanwhile, some of the same suspects in the Benghazi attack are continuing to help the Muslim Brotherhoode or the White House.
Some of the individuals report seeing former AFRICOM commander General Carter Ham tell former Libya Chief of Mission Laurence Pope that he could easily submit a plan to kill or capture the suspects, but "politics and fallout kept us from acting. To do an operation we have to have (Chief of Mission) and state approval. We didn't get it. ... They sat on it."
Multiple sources in Libya tell Fox News that the politics in the lack of response to the Benghazi attacks involves the U.S. State Department position in Libya. "No career diplomat wants to be responsible for giving the green light or supporting an operation that if goes wrong, another Somalia, Blackhawk Down, turns into a political fragmentation grenade that puts any group, party, or element in the public scrutiny spotlight ... especially after the train wreck on September 11th."
Sources told Fox News, though, that the Obama administration will be under pressure to produce some result from its investigation with the one-year anniversary of the attack looming.
Meanwhile, some of the same suspects in the Benghazi attack are continuing to help the Muslim Brotherhood in eastern Libya and are directly aligned with the militant group Ansar al-Sharia, which has already begun operations to undermine the fledgling Libyan government.
The special operators tell Fox News that Libyan militia leader Ahmed Khattalah, among those charged by the DOJ, is a member of a prominent and influential group in the eastern part of Libya and directly tied to Ansar al-Sharia, the group believed to be behind the attack on Benghazi .
"It won't be long, they're already at war. We are just behind," said one operator after being asked about the intent of the Muslim Brotherhood to overtake the current Libyan government in Tripoli. "So the terrorism will continue to grow and the terrorists responsible for killing an ambassador are right now growing along with it."

But ultimately, it is not up to the federal government to determine the limits of federal power, and that includes the Supreme Court. The states created the federal government, and it is the states that must, in the end, determine whether the federal government has exceeded its limits and whether it is acting within the limits of its founding charter. Ninth Circuit Rules in Firearms Freedom Act Case
MISSOULA, MONT. - The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals released its opinion today in MSSA v. Holder, the lawsuit brought in federal court to validate the principles of the Montana Firearms Freedom Act (MFFA). The MFFA was enacted by the Montana Legislature and signed into law by then Governor Brian Schweitzer in 2009. The MFFA declares that any firearms made and retained in Montana are not subject to any federal regulation under the power given to Congress in the U.S. Constitution to “regulate commerce … among the states.” The MFFA uses firearms as a vehicle to challenge federal commerce clause power.
Plaintiffs in MSSA v. Holder are the Montana Shooting Sports Association (MSSA), the Second Amendment Foundation, and Gary Marbut, President of MSSA. To set up the legal challenge, Marbut determined to manufacture a youth-model, .22 caliber, bolt-action rifle called the “Montana Buckaroo.” The federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms informed Marbut that any such unlicensed manufacture would be illegal under federal law.
Despite Marbut's BATF-prohibited plans to make the Montana Buckaroo, the federal District Court ruled that the plaintiffs lacked “standing” to bring the lawsuit, and dismissed the lawsuit. MSSA appealed this dismissal to the Ninth Circuit.
In its long-awaited ruling today, the Ninth Circuit reversed the federal District Court on the standing issue, saying that Marbut has standing to bring the challenge, but held that existing Supreme Court precedent was against plaintiffs on the merits of the lawsuit.
Marbut commented, “This was about as good of a ruling as we could have expected from the Ninth Circuit. We must get to the U.S. Supreme Court to accomplish our goal of overturning 70 years of flawed Supreme Court rulings on the interstate commerce clause. We knew that the Ninth Circuit couldn't help us with that. Only the Supreme Court can overturn Supreme Court precedent. However, now that the standing question is resolved in our favor, we have the green light to appeal to the Supreme Court.”
Marbut says the attorneys involved are already beginning to work on the appeal process.
Marbut continued, “The time is ripe in America for states to challenge federal power, from Obamacare to indefinite detention, to illegal spying on U.S. Citizens and media, to IRS abuses of power, and more. It was the states which created this federal government that has grown to become such a monster. It's time for the states to get their creature back on a leash. With MSSA v. Holder, we will offer the Supreme Court a chance to do just that.”
Since the MFFA was initially enacted in Montana in 2009, nine other states have enacted clones of the MFFA, and 20-some additional states have introduced MFFA-clone bills. The lawsuit to validate the MFFA principles, MSSA v. Holder, has attracted many intervenors and amicus curiae parties. These include the State of Montana, the attorneys general of eight other states, Montana legislators, legislators from other states, the Goldwater Institute, Gun Owners Foundation, the Center for Constitutional Jurisprudence, the CATO Institute, the Weapons Collectors Society of Montana, the Pacific Legal Foundation, and others.
