The forex scandal (also known as the forex probe) is a financial scandal that involves the revelation, and subsequent investigation, that the world's largest currency trading banks colluded for at least a decade to manipulate and rig the daily foreign exchange rates..

[1] Market regulators in Asia, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States began to investigate the $5.3 trillion-a-day foreign-exchange market after Bloomberg News reported in June 2013 that currency dealers said they had been front-running client orders and rigging the foreign exchange benchmark WM/Reuters rates by colluding with counterparts and pushing through trades before and during the 60-second windows when the benchmark rates are set.

The behavior occurred daily in the spot foreign-exchange market and went on for at least a decade according to currency traders.[2]

At the center of the investigation are the transcripts of electronic chatrooms in which senior currency traders discussed with their competitors at other banks the types and volume of the trades they planned to place.

The electronic chatrooms had names such as “The Cartel,” “The Bandits’ Club,” “One Team, One Dream” and “The Mafia”.[3][4] The discussions in the chatrooms were interspersed with jokes about manipulating the forex market and repeated references to alcohol, drugs, and women.

[5] Regulators are particularly focusing in on one small exclusive chatroom which was variously called the The Cartel or The Mafia.

The chatroom was used by some of the most influential traders in London and membership in the chatroom was highly sought after.

Among The Cartel's members were Richard Usher, a former Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) senior trader who went to JPMorgan as head of spot foreign exchange trading in 2010, Rohan Ramchandani, Citigroup’s head of European spot trading, Matt Gardiner, who joined Standard Chartered after working at UBS and Barclays, and Chris Ashton, head of voice spot trading at Barclays.

Two of these senior traders, Richard Usher and Rohan Ramchandani, are members of the 13-member Bank of England Joint Standing Committee's chief dealers group.[6]

At least 15 banks including Barclays, HSBC, and Goldman Sachs disclosed investigations by regulators.

Barclays, Citigroup, and JPMorgan Chase all suspended or placed on leave senior currency traders.

 Deutsche Bank, continental Europe’s largest lender, was also cooperating with requests for information from regulators.[7]

6] Barclays, Citigroup, Deutshce Bank, HSBC, JPMorgan Chase, Lloyds, RBS, Standard Chartered, and UBS as of February 2014 had suspended, placed on leave, or fired 21 traders.

The man has lost it. Stay at home Moms ( most of them) raise wonderfully centered children. He is advocating sending your kids to state run childcare centers cus lord knows we need more sheeple. The punchline to his joke of a speech is, "What jobs?" During a speech in Rhode Island today, President Obama called for more taxpayer-spending on pre-school in order to "make sure that women are full and equal participants in our economy" and said the following: Sometimes, someone, usually mom, leaves the workplace to stay home with the kids, which then leaves her earning a lower wage for the rest of her life as a result. And that’s not a choice we want Americans to make.

In Germany, “Hooligans gegen Salafisten” appears to be a growing broad spectrum anti-Islamification movement.
Hooligan culture is on the rise again in Germany. Fan commissioners from Aachen, Braunschweig, Dortmund, Düsseldorf and Frankfurt report that hooligans who were active as long ago as the 1990s are once again rising and are on the increase in what the media portrays as “right-wing motivated behavior”.
On Twitter, users tweeting under the #hogesa tag have written, “This movement must never rest until we are finally in charge of our own country again.” One woman wrote, “Germany is finally waking up,” while another tweet included a German flag bearing the words, “We don’t want a [Muslim] theocracy.”
Rainer Wendt, chair of the German Police Union, claims that the hooligan groups and the right-wing scene more generally are merely exploiting the topic of Salafism in Germany in order to mobilize their sympathizers and attract new supporters. Wendt adds that such groups’ frequent assertion that the German state is failing in its fight against Islamists is “nonsense,” saying, “What these people don’t accept is that we’re using legal means to address the matter rather than crowbars.”…

 Maine's Governor since '11...Up for re-Election...Hope he make's it...

Meet Maine 's Governor --- In case you haven't heard about this guy before, his name will stick in your mind!  The Maine Governor, Paul LePage is making New Jersey 's Chris Christie look timid. He isn't afraid to say what he thinks. Judging by the comments, every time he opens his mouth, his popularity goes up.  He brought down the house at his inauguration when he shook his fist toward the media box and said, "You're on notice!  I've inherited a financially troubled State to run. Observe...cover what we do...but don't whine if I don't waste time responding to your every whim just for your amusement." During his campaign for Governor, he was talking to commercial fishermen who are struggling because of federal fisheries rules. They complained that 0bama brought his family to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park for a long Labor Day holiday and found time to meet with union leaders, but wouldn't talk to the fishermen. LePage replied, "I'd tell him to go to hell and get out of my State." The Lame Stream Media crucified LePage, but he jumped 6 points in the pre-election poll. The Martin Luther King incident was a political sandbag, which brought him national exposure. The 'lame stream' media crucified him, but word on the street is very positive. The NAACP specifically asked LePage to spend MLK Day visiting black inmates at the Maine State Prison. He told them that he would meet with ALL inmates, regardless of race, if he were to visit the prison. The NAACP balked and then put out a news release claiming falsely that he refused to participate in any MLK events. He read it in the paper for the 1st time the next morning while being driven to an event and went ballistic because none of the reporters had called him for comment before running the NAACP release. He arrived at that event & said in front of a TV camera, "If they want to play the race card on me they can kiss my ass", and he reminded them that he has an adopted black son from Jamaica and that he attended the local MLK Breakfast every year that he was mayor of Waterville. (He started his morning there on MLK Day.) He then stated that there's a right way and a wrong way to meet with the Governor, and he put all special interests on notice that press releases, media leaks, and all demonstrations would prove to be the wrong way. He said any other group, which acted like the NAACP could expect to be at the bottom of the Governor's priority list! He then did the following, and judging from local radio talk show callers, his popularity increased even more: The State employees union complained because he waited until 3 P. M. before closing State offices and facilities and sending non-emergency personnel home during the last blizzard. The prior Governor would often close offices for the day with just a forecast before the first flakes. (Each time the State closes for snow, it costs the taxpayers about $1 million in wages for no work in return.) LePage was CEO of the Marden's chain of discount family bargain retail stores before election as governor. He noted that State employees getting off work early could still find lots of retail stores open to shop. So, he put the State employees on notice by announcing: "If Marden's is open, Maine is open!" He told State employees: "We live in Maine in the winter, for heaven's sake, and should know how to drive in it. Otherwise, apply for a State job in Florida !" Governor LePage symbolizes what America needs; Refreshing politicians who aren't self-serving and who exhibit common sense. THE LAW IS THE LAW! I really love this one. This is one of the better e-mails I have received in a long time! I hope this makes its way around the USA several times over!!!!! HERE IS WHAT Governor LaPage said, "THE LAW IS THE LAW So "if" the US government determines that it is against the law for the words "under God" to be on our money, then, so be it. And "if" that same government decides that the "Ten Commandments" are not to be used in or on a government installation, then, so be it. I say, "so be it," because I would like to be a law abiding US citizen I say, "so be it," because I would like to think that smarter people than I are in positions to make good decisions. I would like to think that those people have the American public's best interests at heart. BUT, he said, "YOU KNOW WHAT ELSE I'D LIKE? Since we can't pray to God, can't Trust in God and cannot post His Commandments in Government buildings, I don't believe Government (Federal, State and Local) and its employees should participate in Easter and Christmas celebrations which honor the God that our government is eliminating from many facets of American life.  I'd like my mail delivered on Christmas, Good Friday, Thanksgiving & Easter. After all, it's just another day.  I'd like the" US Supreme Court to be in session on Christmas, Good Friday, Thanksgiving & Easter as well as Sundays." After all, it's just another day. I'd like the Senate and the House of Representatives to not have to worry about getting home for the "Christmas Break." After all it's just another day. I'm thinking a lot of my taxpayer dollars could be saved, if all government offices & services would work on Christmas, Good Friday & Easter. It shouldn't cost any overtime since those would be just like any other day of the week to a government that is trying to be "politically correct."  In fact....I think our government should work on Sundays (AFTER ALL, It was initially set aside for worshipping God....) because, AFTER ALL, our government says that it should be Just ANOTHER DAY...."  What do you all think???? If this idea gets to enough people, maybe our elected officials will stop giving in to the "minority opinions" and begin, once again, to represent the "majority" of ALL of the American people. SO BE IT...........Please Dear Lord, Give us the help needed to keep you in our country! 'Amen' and 'Amen' Touché! If this gets around the country a few times, I believe we all will see a better day!               GOD BLESS AMERICA ~

If you happen to see the Bill Clinton 5-minute TV ad for Hillary in which he introduces the commercial by saying he wants to share some things we may not know about Hillary's background, beware. As I was there for most of their presidency and know them better than just about anyone, I offer a few corrections.

Bill says: "In law school, Hillary worked on legal services for the poor."

The facts are: Hillary's main extra-curricular activity in law school was helping the Black Panthers, on trial in Connecticut for torturing and killing a federal agent. She went to court every day as part of a law student monitoring committee trying to spot civil rights violations and develop grounds for appeal.

Bill says: "Hillary spent a year after graduation working on a children's rights project for poor kids."

The facts are: Hillary interned with Bob Truehaft, the head of the California Communist Party.  She met Bob when he represented the Panthers and traveled all the way to San Francisco to take an internship with him.

Bill says: "Hillary could have written her own job ticket, but she turned down all the lucrative job offers."

The facts are: She flunked the DC bar exam; yes, flunked. It is a matter of record, and only passed the Arkansas bar. She had no job offers in Arkansas - none - and only got hired by the University of Arkansas Law School at Fayetteville because Bill was already teaching there. She did not join the prestigious Rose Law Firm until Bill became Arkansas Attorney General and was made a partner only after he was elected Arkansas Governor.

Bill says: "President Carter appointed Hillary to the Legal Services Board of Directors and she became its chairman."

The facts are: The appointment was in exchange for Bill's support for Carter in his 1980 primary against Ted Kennedy. Hillary then became chairman in a coup in which she won a majority away from Carter's choice to be chairman.

Bill says: "She served on the board of the Arkansas Children's Hospital."

The facts are: Yes, she did. But her main board activity, not mentioned by Bill, was to sit on the Walmart board of directors for a substantial fee. She was silent about their labor and health care practices.

Bill says: "Hillary didn't succeed at getting health care for all Americans in 1994, but she kept working at it and helped to create the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) that provides five million children with health insurance."

The facts are: Hillary had nothing to do with creating CHIP. It was included in the budget deal between Clinton and Republican Majority Leader Senator Trent Lott. I know; I helped negotiate the deal. The money came half from the budget deal and half from the Attorney Generals' tobacco settlement. Hillary had nothing to do with either source of funds.

Bill says: "Hillary was the face of America all over the world."

The facts are: Her visits were part of a program to get her out of town so that Bill would not appear weak by feeding stories that Hillary was running the White House. Her visits abroad were entirely touristic and symbolic and there was no substantive diplomacy on any of them.

Bill says: "Hillary was an excellent Senator who kept fighting for children's and women's issues."

The facts are: Other than totally meaningless legislation like changing the names on courthouses and post offices, she has passed only four substantive pieces of legislation. One set up a national park in Puerto Rico . A second provided respite care for family members helping their relatives through Alzheimer's or other conditions. And two were routine bills to aid 9/11 victims and responders which were sponsored by the entire NY delegation. Presently she is trying to have the US memorialize the Woodstock fiasco of 40 years ago.

Here is what bothers me more than anything else about Hillary Clinton:

She has done everything possible to weaken the President and our country (that's you and me!) when it comes to the war on terror.

1.     She wants to close GITMO and move the combatants to the USA where they would have access to our legal system.

2.     She wants to eliminate the monitoring of suspected Al Qaeda phone calls to/from the USA .

3.     She wants to grant constitutional rights to enemy combatants captured on the battlefield.

4.     She wants to eliminate the monitoring of money transfers between suspected Al Qaeda cells and supporters in the USA.

5.     She wants to eliminate the type of interrogation tactics used by the military & CIA where coercion might be used when questioning known terrorists even though such tactics might save American lives.

One cannot think of a single bill Hillary has introduced or a single comment she has made that would tend to strengthen our country in the War on Terror.  But, one can think of a lot of comments she has made that weaken our country and make it a more dangerous situation for all of us. Bottom line: She goes hand in hand with the ACLU on far too many issues where common sense is abandoned.

Share this with every democrat you know.  Ask them to prove Dick Morris wrong. Think about it - Dick Morris has said all of this openly, thus if he were not truthful he'd be liable for defamation of character!  And you better believe Hillary would sue him.

Is America ready for a woman president?

Status Report: Three States Moving to Nullify Federal Gun Control

When it comes to fighting violations of the Second Amendment, most Americans assume that they have to take the battle to Washington D.C. But, in fact, states can take action to thwart federal infringement of the the right to keep and bear arms.

By simply refusing to cooperate with federal enforcement of gun laws, states can hinder the implementation of federal gun control. These programs depend on state enforcement. Lacking it, they will find it difficult to implement their gun laws and regulations. And with enough states on board, enforcement will become “nearly impossible.”

Several states have already passed legislation based on this principle. These actions provide a foundation we plan to build on during the 2015 legislative session.

The following is a summary of some of the legislation already passed into law.

IDAHO

Idaho Gov. Butch Otter signed a bill the effectively nullifies future federal gun laws by prohibiting state enforcement of any future federal act relating to personal firearms, a firearm accessories or ammunition.

S1332 passed the house by a vote of 68-0 and the senate by a vote of 34-0.

Erich Pratt, Director of Communications for Gun Owners of America, cheered the governor’s action. “By signing this nullification bill into law, Idaho has joined an elite class of states that are telling the feds to ‘get lost’ — especially when it comes to unconstitutional gun control infringements”

Introduced by the State Affairs Committee, the Idaho Federal Firearm, Magazine and Register Ban Enforcement Act, seeks to:

“protect Idaho law enforcement officers from being directed, through federal executive orders, agency orders, statutes, laws, rules, or regulations enacted or promulgated on or after the effective date of this act, to violate their oath of office and Idaho citizens’ rights under Section 11, Article I, of the Constitution of the State of Idaho.”

The legislation continues:

“any official, agent or employee of the state of Idaho or a political subdivision thereof who knowingly and willfully orders an official, agent or employee of the state of Idaho or a political subdivision of the state to enforce any executive order, agency order, law, rule or regulation of the United States government as provided in subsection (2) of this section upon a personal firearm, a firearm accessory or ammunition shall, on a first violation, be liable for a civil penalty not to exceed one thousand dollars ($1,000) which shall be paid into the general fund of the state”

ALASKA

Alaska Gov. Sean Parnell signed a sweeping bill providing broad protections against indefinite detention, violations of the Second Amendment and blocking implementation of a federal identification program in The Last Frontier.

HB69 prohibits “state and municipal agencies from using assets to implement or aid in the implementation of the requirements of certain federal statutes, regulations, rules, and orders that are applied to infringe on a person’s right to bear arms or right to due process or that implement or aid in the implementation of the federal REAL ID Act of 2005.”

“The people of Alaska got a three-for-one in this bill. The Alaska legislature, along with Gov. Parnell, obviously take Madison’s assertion that states are ‘duty bound, to interpose for arresting the progress of the evil’ seriously.” The new law will make violations of the Second Amendment “nearly impossible” in Alaska,” Tenth Amendment Center national communications director Mike Maharrey said.

KANSAS

Kansas Governor Sam Brownback signed the Second Amendment Protection Act in 2013, a big step towards nulifying a wide range of federal attacks on the right to keep and bear arms in the state of Kansas. It reads, in part:

Any act, law, treaty, order, rule or regulation of the government of the United States which violates the second amendment to the constitution of the United States is null, void and unenforceable in the state of Kansas.

By definition, state and local agents may not support any acts or actions “null, void and unenforceable in the state of Kansas.” Based on the law’s text, state and local agents cannot participate in any federal gun control measures that restrict the individual right to keep and bear arms as understood when Kansas became a state in 1861.

The bill also bars state and local agents from enforcing or attempting to enforce “any act, law, treaty, order, rule or regulation of the government of the United States regarding any personal firearm, firearm accessory or ammunition that is owned or manufactured commercially or privately and owned in the state of Kansas and that remains within the border.” Any federal agent violating this provision of the act could face criminal charges. State prosecutors will serve federal agents violating the law with a complaint and summons.

“Sam Brownback just told Barack Obama, ‘Bring it on!’ The new Kansas law is the strongest and most sweeping defense of the right to keep and bear arms thus far in the entire country,” Tenth Amendment Center executive director Michael Boldin said in a report last year.

Originally filed by Rep. John Rubin (R-Shawnee) as HB2199, the legislation passed by wide margins in both houses.  As the legislation is currently tied up in federal court due to a lawsuit by the Brady Center focusing on the section authorizing criminal charges for federal agents, a follow up bill to give practical effect to other portions of the bill should be passed immediately. This legislation would clarify and spell out which federal acts are “unenforceable,” and give a specific directive to state and local law enforcement to cease all actions that assist the federal government in the enforcement of those acts.

AN EFFECTIVE PATH

On Fox and Friends, Steve Doocy asked Judge Andrew Napolitano whether President Obama has set a precedent as many states try to pass gun laws to block stricter federal legislation. He explained that state authorities could legally choose not to enforce a federal gun law that goes against state law, but that the feds need the help of state and local authorities to enforce laws.

“Our home state of New Jersey could not, for example, use the police to frustrate federal law enforcement. What it could say to state and local police (is) ‘you will not cooperate.’ That will make federal enforcement of tighter federal gun laws nearly impossible,” said Napolitano.

These three states have already taken important first steps towards refusing federal gun control measures.  In 2015 we look forward to seeing even more states standing up to the federal government by passing The Second Amendment Preservation Act and protecting their citizens right to keep and bear arms.

This is probably not the best way for Senator Landrieu to win reelection...

Senator Mary Landrieu (D-LA) is attempting to win reelection to the Senate from the Bayou State of Louisiana. That effort is not going well, and her latest slip-up is probably not going to help matters for the liberal Southern Democrat. In a recent interview on NBC’s Meet the Press with Chuck Todd, she called Louisiana (and Southern voters in general) Racist and Sexist!

“To be very, very honest with you, the South has not always been the friendliest place to African-Americans. It’s been a difficult time for the president to present himself in a positive light as a leader. It’s not always been a good place for women to be able to present ourselves, it’s more of a conservative place.”

Could someone please remind Senator Landrieu that the "sexist" voters in Louisiana have previously elected her to two terms in office. Also, if they could remind her that those same "racist" voters have voted TWICE to elect Governor Bobby Jindal (an American of Indian descent) to lead their state.

These voters just don't seem sexist or racist to me...

Landrieu’s “honesty” has opened a huge can of worms at the worst possible time for the Democrat candidate.
