FIRESTORM: U.S. SCHOOL MAKES GIRLS FOLLOW ISLAM DRESS CODE

District confirms Shariah must be 'respected' by females on field trip

board
Douglas County Board of Education
The Douglas County School District in Colorado, under fire for saying that schoolgirls might have to cover up from head to ankle for a field trip to a Muslim mosque, has confirmed that such Shariah requirements will be enforced on the outing.

The explanation followed a firestorm of criticism of the school for announcing the field trip for seventh-grade students and including a note that the Shariah dress code could be enforced.“Students who choose to attend the [Rocky Heights Middle School] world religion field trip are expected to respect the dress code of the host facility,” the school said in a statement posted online.
The note sent to families, according to a report from Islam expert and commentator Pamela Geller, said: “The world religions field trip is next Tuesday, January 13. We will be visiting the Denver Mosque, the Assumption Greek Orthodox Cathedral, and the Rodef-Shalom Synagogue. We will then eat lunch at Park Meadows Food Court. Students must either bring a sack lunch or money to purchase lunch at the food court.”
It continued: “THERE IS A DRESS CODE FOR THIS TRIP: All students must wear appropriate long pants. Ankles must be covered. Girls must bring wide scarves or hooded sweatshirts for the mosque.”
Geller said the “subjugation and oppression of women are enshrined under the Shariah.”
“Young school girls should not be forced to ‘respect’ a dress code that represents honor violence, female genital mutilation, forced marriage, child marriage, et al,” she wrote.
“Public schools are forbidden from holding girls to different standards than boys,” Boyles noted. “They’re holding these girls to a different standard – it’s a religion reason.
“Islam dictates many, I believe – personal belief – repressive practices against women and Islamophobia will trump womens’ rights. Animal rights every time, and the environment. That’s their belief – that’s wonderful. But don’t apply it to public school kids,” Boyles said.
In response to the criticism, the district posted a notice called the “Rest of the Story.”
Officials explained the field trip is an option, not a requirement.
“If the decision is made to not participate in a field trip, alternative educational opportunities are provided,” the district said. “This is true for any DCSD field trip, including the RHMS world religion field trip.”
If students do choose to participate in the field trip, they are subject to the Shariah dress requirements of the mosque, the school said.
“As part of providing an authentic learning opportunity for students, DCSD provides an optional field trip to further support the world religion course, thus allowing students who choose to participate to discuss what they experienced on the field trip with their family members and eventually leading to the development of their own views,” the school district said.
Geller observed: “Here again we see that anywhere American law and Islamic law conflict, it is American law that has to give way.”

A FOX 10 EXCLUSIVE
It was a story we first brought you last night at 9, high-profile community activist Jarrett Maupin and FOX 10's Troy Hayden joined deputies with MCSO, for a force-on-force training drill.
Both Troy Hayden and Maupin got an opportunity to experience a real-world scenario about how quickly law enforcement officers have to act when confronted suspect.
That story had a lot of people talking, including other law enforcment agencies around the country. Many of them tweeting the story to their followers.
But there was much more than you didn't hear,  Reverand Maupin joined FOX 10 in studio to talk about the experience.

ORIGINAL STORY BELOW:
PHOENIX (KSAZ) -- We've seen protests all across the country after police officers have been accused of shooting people who aren't armed.

But what would happen if one of those protesters looked at what it's like to wear a badge, and be put in a life or death situation.

Jarrett Maupin has been very vocal during the recent protests, leading marches on the Phoenix Police headquarters after officers shot an unarmed man who reportedly fought with them.

He agreed to go through a force on force training with the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office and went through three scenarios where you have to decide to shoot, or not to shoot.

>>You can see the full body cam footage from Maupin's simulation, and how police debriefed him on what happened:http://bit.ly/1yHhFzV

Scenario one is a call of a man casing cars in a parking lot. Maupin approached the man and started asking questions. The suspect in the drill shot Maupin, who was asking him what kind of car he drove. It happens that fast.

FOX 10 asked him when he thought it was time for him to address the scenario with the use of force. "When he came to the back of the vehicle and started hiding, I could sense something was wrong," said Jarrett Maupin.

Scenario two is a call of two men fighting. "What's going on today gentlemen, what are you doing?" he said. He fired at the suspect in the scenario.

FOX 10 asked him why he shot the suspect. "Hey, he rushed me... I shot because he was in that zone, I didn't see him armed, he came clearly to do some harm to my person," said Maupin. "It's hard to make that call; it shakes you up."

Scenario three was a call about a possible burglar walking down the street. Maupin gets him on the ground, but the suspect is not complying. "I need you to keep your hands up sir, I need to check that's in the waistband," he said.

There were no shots fired, but the suspect did have a knife in his waistband.

FOX 10's Troy Hayden went through the scenarios too, without seeing what Maupin did.

It was the same results for both of us; things happen so fast. FOX 10 asked Maupin what his biggest take-away from the exercise will be. "I didn't understand how important compliance was, but after going through this; yes my attitude has changed, this happens in 10-15 seconds. People need to comply for their own sake," said Maupin.

FOX 10 would like to thank the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office for helping us with this story.

Illinois & Oklahoma - An Interesting Contrast!

2 STATES IN MIDDLE AMERICA

I have seen this a few years ago, but think it is well worth sending out again.

Comparison of Illinois vs Oklahoma ....

Illinois &  Oklahoma :   I thought these two states made for an interesting contrast.  The first part is about Illinois and the second part is about Oklahoma!

PART 1 —  Illinois -  “A State with No Republicans"!

Some interesting data on the 'state' of the State of Illinois ...

There are more people on welfare in Illinois than there are people working.

Chicago pays the highest wages to teachers than anywhere else in the U.S.   Their average pay is $110,000/year.  Their pensions average 80-90% of their income.

Wow!  Are Illinois and Chicago great, or what?

Be sure to read to the end.  I've never heard it explained better.  Perhaps the U.S. should pull out of Chicago?

Body count:

In the last six months, 292-killed (murdered) in Chicago and Chicago has one of the strictest gun laws in the entire US!!!!    vs    221 killed in Iraq

Here's the Chicago chain of command:

•   President: Barack Hussein 0bama

   Senator: Dick Durbin

•   House Representative: Jesse Jackson Jr.

   Governor: Pat Quinn

   House leader: Mike Madigan

•   Atty. Gen.: Lisa Madigan (daughter of Mike)

•   Mayor: Rahm Emanuel

•   The leadership in Illinois - all Democrats

Thank you for the combat zone in Chicago.  Of course, they're all blaming each other.  Can't blame Republicans. There aren't any!

Let us get ALL the facts out while we are at it.
Chicago school system rated one of the worst in the country.  Can't blame Republicans.  There aren't any!
State pension fund $78 billion in debt, worst in country. Can't blame Republicans. There aren't any!
Cook County (Chicago) sales tax 10.25% highest in country.  Can't blame Republicans.  There aren't any!
This is the political culture that 0bama comes from in Illinois.  And Obama is going to “fix” Washington politics for us?!
George Ryan is no longer Governor.  He’s in prison.
He was replaced by Rob Blagojevich who is, by the way, also in prison.
Representative Jesse Jackson Jr. resigned and, that's right, he and his wife are both in prison.
The Land of Lincoln where our Governors and Representatives make our license plates.  What?
As long as they keep providing entitlements to the population of Chicago, nothing is going to change  except the state will go bankrupt before the country does.
“Anybody who thinks he can be happy and prosperous by letting the Government take care of him better take a closer look at the American Indian.”
Don’t forget Detroit, another great example of a Democratic empire…
With all the bad news, there is hope, so let’s go to:

PART 2 — Oklahoma

OKLAHOMA - may soon have plenty of new residents!
THIS IS REALLY INTERESTING,AND TRUE  ...  PLEASE READ IT!

Oklahoma is the only state that 0bama did not win even one county in the last election  ...  While everyone is focusing on Arizona’s new law, look what Oklahoma has been doing!!!
An update from Oklahoma :
Oklahoma law passed, 37 to 9 an amendment to place the Ten Commandments on the front entrance to the state capitol.  The feds in D.C., along with the ACLU, said it would be a mistake.  Hey this is a conservative state, based on Christian values...  HB 1330
Guess what...  Oklahoma did it anyway.
Oklahoma recently passed a law in the state to incarcerate  all illegal immigrants and ship them back to where they came from unless they want to get a green card and become an American citizen.  They all scattered.  HB1804.  This was against the advice of the Federal Government and the ACLU.  They said it would be a mistake. Guess what...  Oklahoma did it anyway.
Recently we passed a law to include DNA samples from any and all illegal's to the Oklahoma database, for criminal investigative purposes.   Pelosi said it was unconstitutional SB1102.  Guess what...  Oklahoma did it anyway.
Several weeks ago, Oklahoma passed a law declaring Oklahoma as a Sovereign state not under the Federal Government directives, joining Texas, Montana and Utah as the only other states to do so.
More states  are likely to follow:  Louisiana , Alabama, Georgia, Carolinas, Kentucky, Missouri, Arkansas, West Virginia, Mississippi and Florida.   Save your confederate money.  It appears the South is about to rise up once again.  HJR 1003
The federal Government has made bold steps to take away our guns.  Oklahoma, a week ago, passed a law confirming people in this state have the right to bear arms and transport them in their vehicles.  I'm sure that was a setback for the criminals. The Liberals didn't like it- - BUT... Guess what  ...  Oklahoma did it anyway.
Just this month the state has voted and passed a law that ALL drivers’ license exams will be printed in English and only English and no other language.  They have been called racist for doing this, but the fact is that ALL of the road signs are in English only.  If you want to drive in Oklahoma, you must read and write English.  Really simple.
By the way, the Liberals don't like any of this either.
Guess what!  Who cares! Oklahoma is doing it anyway!
If you like it, pass it on, if you don't then delete it. Thanks!  Guess what: the people I'm sending this to will send it on.  Well, at least the ones who love and believe in freedom  will.
IN GOD WE TRUST!

GOD BLESS the
united States of America !!!

Shoppers thronged grocery stores across Caracas today as deepening shortages led the government to put Venezuela’s food distribution under military protection.
Long lines, some stretching for blocks, formed outside grocery stores in the South American country’s capital as citizens search for scarce basic items such as detergent and chicken.
“I’ve visited six stores already today looking for detergent -- I can’t find it anywhere,” said Lisbeth Elsa, a 27-year-old janitor, waiting in line outside a supermarket in eastern Caracas. “We’re wearing our dirty clothes again because we can’t find it. At this point I’ll buy whatever I can find.”
A dearth of foreign currency exacerbated by collapsing oil prices has led to shortages of imports from toilet paper to car batteries, and helped push annual inflation to 64 percent in November. The lines will persist as long as price controls remain in place, Luis Vicente Leon, director of Caracas-based polling firm Datanalisis, said today in a telephone interview.
Government officials met with representatives from supermarket chains today to guarantee supplies, state news agency AVN reported. Interior Minister Carmen Melendez said yesterday that security forces would be sent to food stores and distribution centers to protect shoppers.

‘Desperation’

“Don’t fall into desperation -- we have the capacity and products for everyone, with calmness and patience. The stores are full,” she said on state television.
President Nicolas Maduro last week vowed an economic “counter-offensive” to steer the country out of recession, including an overhaul of the foreign exchange system. He has yet to provide details. While the main government-controlled exchange sets a rate of 6.3 bolivars per dollar, the black market rate is as much as 187 per dollar.
“What we’re seeing is worse than usual, it’s not only a seasonal problem,” Leon said. “Companies are not sure how they will restock their inventories or find merchandise, with a looming fear of a devaluation.”
The price for Venezuela’s oil, which accounts for more than 95 percent of the country’s exports, has plunged by more than half from last year’s peak in June to $47 a barrel this month.
“This is the worst its ever been -- I’ve seen lines thousands of people long,” Greisly Jarpe, a 42-year-old data analyst, said as she waited for dish soap in eastern Caracas. “People are so desperate they’re sleeping in the lines.”

STOCKHOLM/OSLO (Reuters) - Nordic countries are leading a shift by rich nations towards cashless societies, providing a test case for whether the lower cost and convenience of using cards and smartphones for payments outweigh the risks of fraud and some people being left behind.
Helped by wide use of computers even among the elderly, broad trust in the state and big business and only small black economies, people in Sweden and neighboring countries are fast embracing cards, the Internet and apps for financial transactions, and forsaking notes and coins.
"We are headed more and more for a cashless society," said Jan Digranes, a director at Finance Norway, which represents banks and other financial institutions.
Sweden, home of music streaming firm Spotify and the Candy Crush mobile phone game, ranks top in the European Union for card payments, with 230 transactions per inhabitant in 2012, just above Denmark and Finland and well ahead of Britain on 167, Germany 39 and Italy 28, according to the European Central Bank.
Non-EU members Norway and Iceland are also among top users of cards worldwide, their central banks say.
For banks and businesses, the big benefit is lower costs.
A report by the Norwegian central bank last month said the total cost of each cash transaction -- including handling notes and coins in banks -- was estimated at 7.1 crowns ($0.92) against only 4.1 crowns per card transaction.
For consumers, abandoning cash is often about convenience, though some are worried the poor, elderly and disabled can lack access to technology and credit, or just prefer notes and coins.
Swedes often make the smallest purchases, such as for chewing gum, with a credit card and can use the Swedish banks' jointly-developed smartphone app Swish to repay a small debt to a friend. Another app allow drinkers to buy beers in a bar without queuing.
In the Stockholm subway, it is impossible to buy a ticket with cash, while some unemployed people selling street magazines now also accept electronic payments.
Mike Shabwan, selling flowers on a Stockholm square, said sales had risen by 10 percent since he started use the Swedish service iZettle in his smartphone to accept card payments.
"And it is also cheaper and easier for me because the money comes directly into the bank," he said.
MOBILEPAY
In Denmark, "MobilePay" -- an app launched by Danske Bank to allow payments via a smartphone -- was judged by public radio as the best new word of the year for 2014. It now has 1.8 million users in a nation of 5.6 million people.
But Jarl Dahlfors, chief executive of cash handling firm Loomis, says the cashless trend may have gone too far for "unbanked people" such as many elderly.
And "do we really want everything we buy to be registered?" he asked, touching on the loss of privacy involved in switching from cash purchases to card and online payments.
Then there are the risks of electronic fraud.
According to Swedish Justice Ministry data, electronic fraud has doubled in the country in the past decade to about 140,000 cases in 2013. The boom is partly because a successful Internet-based computer scam can quickly generate thousands of cases.
To limit risks with MobilePay, Danske Bank advises clients to keep their phones locked when not in use and guard them as they would a credit card or cash.
In Norway, Mastercard is experimenting with a fingerprint identification system developed by Norway's Zwipe, embedded into credit cards, hoping to make them more secure.
Anna Eriksson, spokeswoman of the Swedish Association of Senior Citizens, said elderly people need guarantees that cash can be used freely everywhere.
"Maybe we need incentives for older people to get an iPad to learn what's positive about paying bills through a computer," she said.
Still, there are silver linings, even in the rise of electronic fraud. Bank robberies -- which can involve violence -- fell in Sweden to a record low of five in 2012 from 16 the year before.
The Swedish central bank is far from phasing out cash; it will launch new notes and coins this year.
But it predicts the amount of cash in Sweden will fall by between 20 and 50 percent by 2020 compared with 2012.
And as the first generation of Internet users grows older, it seems likely that attachments to notes and coins will fade.
"It is an ongoing evolution," said Peter Fredell, CEO of Swedish Seamless, which developed the payment app Seqr that handles around 3 billion transactions in stores, restaurants and e-trade annually.

EXCLUSIVE: President Barack Obama stays in this multimillion home on Kailua Beach.
By Malia Zimmerman | Watchdog.org
HONOLULU – President Barack Obama and his family just spent their Christmas and New Year’s holidays in Kailua. Now it’s time for taxpayers to pick up the tab.
While the Obamas and friends who accompany them pay for their own private vacation home rentals on or near Kailua Beach, taxpayers foot a multimillion dollar tab for everything from a stand-by ambulance to the fuel for Air Force One.
Local taxpayers pick up the bill for Honolulu Police Department escorts who guard Obama, first lady Michelle and daughters Malia and Sasha around the clock. Figures just released by HPD spokeswoman Michelle Yu show HPD spent $277,000 on overtime costs this year during the president’s 16-day vacation. That’s $16,000 less than in 2013, but $60,000 more than in 2012.
The Emergency Management Services department also dispatches an ambulance to be on call for the president, which annually costs the city about $15,890.

LUXURY: Kailua villa is where the first family spends Christmas.
The U.S. Secret Service doesn’t disclose information about the expense for its agents to travel to and stay in Hawaii or guard the first family.
Dozens of Secret Service agents were spotted at Ala Moana Hotel checking in the day before Obama arrived. A spokeswoman for the hotel said she couldn’t release details on the number of agents who stayed there, but hotel staff told Watchdog the government rate would be about $200 a night, including taxes.
Secret Service agents, Navy SEALs and Coast Guard officials also rent private homes along the canal near the president in Kailua at a cost of $250 per room per night, according to several residents renting their homes.
The most pricey charge to taxpayers is the flight to Oahu from Washington, D.C.
Records obtained by Washington, D.C.-based Judicial Watch said “the flights to and from Honolulu for the December 2013-January 2014 Christmas vacation totaled 36.9 hours at $210,877 an hour, which comes to a flight expense alone of $7,781,361.30.”
That was an increase of $3.7 million in flight expenses Judicial Watch reported the Obamas incurred for their 2012 Honolulu Christmas vacation.
No estimates for 2014’s travel have been released by the administration.

BREATHTAKING, BUT COSTLY: The first family stays on Kailua Beach, which is frequently listed among the best beaches in the country.
The cost for USAF C-17 cargo aircraft that transports presidential limos, helicopters and other support equipment to Hawaii has never been disclosed, but the round-trip flight time between Andrews Air Force Base and Hawaii is 21.5 hours, with estimated operating cost of $12,000 per hour, according to an U.S. Government Accountability Office report.
The U.S. Marine Corps provides a presidential helicopter, along with pilots and support crews for the test flights, which travel on another C-17 flightThat totals $258,000, not including costs for the four-to-six-member crew’s per diem and hotel.
The Obamas rented the same five-bedroom oceanfront villa on Kailuana Place they’ve secured for the past four years. SÅ«mit Capital LLC, a New York investment firm headed by Soumyo Sarkar and his wife Chinyu Sarkar, owns the multimillion-dollar property.
Security upgrades are made to the home, with bulletproof glass, additional phone lines and other detection and defense systems installed.
Since the home sits on the popular Kailua Beach, the U.S. Coast Guard stations a sea vessel nearby, while its officials use personal watercraft and smaller boats to patrol the ocean and canal surrounding the home.
The administration also rents cars for staff and security, and pays additional travel costs for Secret Service and White House staff traveling ahead of the president.
None of those costs have ever been released to the public.

Six Conundrums of Socialism in the United States of America

The U.S.A. in the 21st century

                                    CONUNDRUMS

The definition of the word "conundrum" is:   something that is puzzling or confusing.

"A gun is like a parachute. If you need one and don't have one, you'll probably never need one again."

Here are six conundrums of socialism in the United States of America:

1. America is capitalist and greedy, yet half of the population is subsidized.

2. Half of the population is subsidized, yet they think they are victims.

3. They think they are victims, yet their representatives run the government.

4. Their representatives run the government, yet the poor keep getting poorer.

5. The poor keep getting poorer, yet they have things that people in other countries only dream about.

6. They have things that people in other countries only dream about, yet they want America to be more like those other countries.

Think about it! And that, my friends, pretty much sums up the U.S.A. in the 21st century.

Makes you wonder who is doing the math.

These three short sentences tell you a lot about the direction of our current government and cultural environment:

1. We are advised to NOT judge ALL Muslims by the actions of a few lunatics, but we are encouraged to judge ALL gun owners by the actions of a few lunatics.

Funny how that works. And here's another one worth considering...

2. Seems we constantly hear about how Social Security is going to run out of money, but we never hear about welfare or food stamps running out of money? What's interesting is the first group "worked for" their money, but the second didn't.

Think about it.....and last but not least,

3. Why are we cutting benefits for our veterans?  There are no pay raises for our military, and we are cutting our army to a level lower than before WWII, but we are not stopping the payments or benefits to illegals???  SOMETHING VERY VERY WRONG WITH THAT!!!

Anti Gun Liars Keep on Lying!

Anti Gun Liars Keep on Lying!

Michael Bloomberg's useful idiot and founder of Moms Demand Action Shannon Watts kicked off 2015 with more anti-gun propaganda, claiming that if polls only asked questions right that polling would show 90 percent of Americans favor background checks in order to purchase a gun.

Ms. Watts said the fact that America now has a whistleblower silencing, Fast and Furious cover up head of the unlawful federal agency known as the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and an anti-gun Surgeon General makes her and the "moms on the ground feel like we're winning." She failed to mention the anti-gun Attorney General and President in making her case.
But winning what? Is this really a war against criminals or an emotional war against arms? I believe it is the latter.

The MDA founder commented on the Pew Research Poll conducted back in December and claimed, "when you look at polls that ask questions in the correct way, you have 90 percent or more of Americans supporting background checks — and obviously that includes people of all backgrounds and all colors…"

guncontrolliar    The problem with Ms. Watts' claim is it lacks any reality or facts and has been largely debunked, along with all of her other claims regarding violent crime and guns.

First, as I've written about the Pew poll here, for the first time in more than two decades, Americans are favoring the rights of gun owners versus more government gun control, which always leads to gun confiscation.

Let's be clear here, background checks do not keep guns out of the hands of criminals. They do not prevent criminals from obtaining guns. They are merely unlawful restrictions on law abiding citizens from being able to perform a duty they are bound to keep, mainly provide defense for self and others.

Yet, Watts claims to be "in the trenches every single day." And what is she doing in those trenches every single day?

guncrime   "I'm part of a grassroots organization that is fighting every single day; and we are winning," she told Salon.com. "If you look at what we've done in the states alone — in 2013, we helped close the background check loophole in several states (Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, New York) … and then we built on that this year. We got six different states, red and blue, to pass laws that would keep guns out of the hands of domestic abusers. And those were signed by [governors] from both parties … And then we went to Washington State where our moms were a huge part of the success of getting I-594 passed with 60 percent of the vote … And this is something we can take to two-dozen other states … to get [similar] initiatives passed there … We passed a critical gun-violence restraining bill in California, which is a prototype that we can take to other states …"

This is what you really need to understand about Ms. Watts. What is she and her organization "winning" at? Let me give you just one example. In the I-594 pretended legislation, it caused a museum to remove World War II Exhibit firearms and return them to their owners to be in compliance with the law or be deemed criminals.

It also brought out a more visible support than Watts ever thought about having against the pretended legislation. Thousands of people gathered at the capitol in Washington to openly defy I-594, as they exchanged and sold guns without following any of the tenants of the Bloomberg and Bill Gates supported legislation. To show how little teeth I-594 has, no arrests were made during the largest felony civil disobedience rally in history.

However, what can we honestly say about Watts' organization? Well, they do feel the need to attack comedians and singers over who they perform for. They attack businesses for respecting the rights of citizens to carry their guns for protection. They use public indecency to try and openly disturb the peace to advance their agenda.

Do 90 percent of Americans want what Watts' and company are selling, namely more background checks? No. In fact, nearly two-thirds of Americans were reported to believe that more restrictive gun laws "would not be effective in preventing criminals from obtaining guns."

Shannon Watts is a Bloomberg shill, nothing more and nothing less. She cannot be trusted to tell the truth.
