Your pastor jailed? Your church closed by court order? Are you ready for what is coming soon to your church? How could that be, you might well ask? On or before June 30th the Supreme Court of the United States will hand down its opinion in four similar cases from Ohio, Michigan, Tennessee and Kentucky (referred to together as Obergefell v. Hodges).


If you have followed the same sex marriage cases in the last five years you know that various federal courts across the nation have thrown out state laws and state constitutional provisions limiting marriage to a man and a woman.

37 states now allow same sex marriage, most, but not all, by order of federal district court judges. The U.S. Supreme Court to date hasn’t ruled directly on the issue, but in its opinions in related cases it has clearly telegraphed where it stands.

Until last November, though, there was no case before the Court which would form the legal basis to rule directly on whether the states could limit marriage to a man and a woman. In late 2014, in four state cases the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals went against the prevailing legal winds and instead ruled that states could enact legal limitations on who may be married in their states.

Journalists, legal pundits and various members of Congress have all concluded that when the U.S. Supreme Court rules in four months, it will overrule the Sixth Circuit and hold that the states may not restrict marriage to a man and a woman. Based on the order setting the hearings in the cases the Court will very likely rule that the 14th Amendment to the Constitution prevents the states from prohibiting persons of the same gender from marrying. Ignore the historical fact that when the 14th Amendment was adopted, following the Civil War in 1868, homosexuality was against the law in every state.

The Justices are expected to issue their opinion in late June, which will have the force of law, and which will mandate that all states must grant marriage licenses to a man and a man and a woman and a woman.

It will not end, though, with this foundation-shaking ruling.

As night follows day, you can be sure that within a short time of the Supreme Court’s ruling a same sex couple, or more than one couples, will come knocking on your church’s door, and the doors of every church in America. Once the same sex couple is seated in front of your pastor, the conversation may likely go something like this:

"Pastor, we are here to request that you marry us in your church. When can we schedule the ceremony?"

"But, first gentlemen (or, alternatively, ladies), I must say that I don’t think we have ever met and I don’t recall seeing you at our Sunday services."

"No, we don’t belong to your church, but we are demanding that you perform our marriage, just as you do for straight couples. Do you have a problem with that?"

"Well, yes, in fact I do have a problem with marrying you, with all due respect. Our church is based upon and ruled by The Bible. God created marriage between a man and a woman. He decided the issue of marriage 6,000 years ago. We’ll not be contradicting what God has said. We…."

"Stop right there, Pastor. In case you haven’t noticed, the supreme law of the land now is that the states must issue marriage permits to same sex partners. So, therefore…."

"Let me stop you, sirs. We are not the state. We are a private church whose head is Jesus Christ. We will not bow to any order that we violate God’s word in how we operate our church."

"Are you living in the dark ages, Pastor? Didn’t you follow the test cases over the last two years where florists and caterers who refused to do business with same sex couples were fined and even had their property seized? You didn’t speak up and organize then, did you? Your church uses the public streets and utilities. Your church gets special tax treatment by the state. Your…."

"Taxes? What do taxes have to do with…."

"You don’t pay property taxes. Your congregation gets to deduct their contributions to you. You have become creatures of the state. You can’t discriminate against us any more than you can discriminate against people based on their race."

"But, uh, we just won’t do it. We won’t marry you in this church. That’s it. Flat. End of discussion. This meeting is over. I’ll show you the door."

"Fine, sir, fine. We’ll leave, but you will soon learn how this country has changed. The next people who will contact you will be agents of the Department of Justice. Churches which refuse to comply with the law will soon find that either the church will obey the law or the pastor will be jailed, and probably the board of elders. If you still refuse to obey the law, the church will be closed by court order. We can’t allow homophobia to exist in this community. You’ll hear from the federal government, soon. Very soon."

Far-fetched, you may say? Really? Tell that to the Christian owners of 111 Cakery, who closed their doors after media attacks following the bakery’s refusal to bake a cake for a same sex event. Tell that to the owner of Arlene’s Flowers in Washington State. Weddings made up only about 3% of the florist’s total business, but the business was targeted by two gay men, with the ICLU in tow. As soon as the owner said that selling flower arrangements for a gay wedding would violate her Christian beliefs, she was sued by the state Attorney General, who claimed that she had violated consumer protection laws. Entering a 60 page summary judgment (she received no trial) the judge ruled that the florist "cannot comply with both the law and her faith if she continues to provide flowers for weddings". The court fined her and ordered that it would determine later how much of her assets would be forfeited to the state.

Now, follow this. The Washington state Attorney General said, ‘The law is clear: If you choose to provide a service to couples of the opposite sex, you must provide the same service to same sex couples". Do you see where this will soon be heading? Once the Supreme Court does what it is widely expected to do and makes same sex marriage the law of America, the church visits and the lawsuits, and the arrests and the closings will come soon after. How, they will argue, can you marry people of opposite gender in your church, without also marrying same sex couples? The courts will be sympathetic to their argument. Many pastors and boards of elders will refuse to obey court orders, and will be held in contempt and in jail because of their faith-based refusal to comply.

Sad to say, given the state of the church in America today, it is to be expected that many churches who preach the Bible, will nevertheless decide not to resist and will marry same-sex couples in the sanctuaries of their church. Did you ever wonder why German churches eventually agreed to display swastika flags on their church buildings, even on their altars? When the heat is turned up, history tells us, some will wilt and some will be martyred in the flames. Get ready church members. Strangers are about to enter your sanctuaries.

Jeremiah prophesies in the Daughter of Babylon that "strangers" will "come into the sanctuaries of the LORD’s house," leading God’s people to be "confounded" and held to "reproach" and to "shame." (Jeremiah 51:51). In Revelation 17:6 John tells us it was revealed to him that Babylon, in the end times, will be "drunk with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus." In Revelation 18:24 John reveals that in Babylon "was found the blood … of saints."

Enemies of the Savior are at work preparing to step up attacks on the church in America. Will your church be ready? Will you be ready? Would you vote to allow same-sex marriage if it comes to a church vote? If so, will you be ready to explain your vote to Jesus some day? At the Nuremburg trials after WW II Nazi war criminals tried to justify their crimes against humanity by arguing that were just obeying the laws issued by the Fuehrer.


Neither the judges or the world were impressed by the argument. If you are a pastor or an elder, be ready to be forced to decide whether your church will follow God’s Word or the courts. The current culture, the mainstream media tell us, is moving rapidly to support same sex marriage. The Supreme Court two years ago threw out the federal Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA). The IRS last July agreed in court to monitor what is said in churches. Arguments may be heard from your church members that it’s not worth fighting, just marry whoever comes through the door.

In Christianity’s 2,000+ years the followers of Jesus have frequently been forced to go underground, with small house churches, in order to continue to worship as they believed the Bible mandated. How soon will your church have to make these basic decisions? Who to marry? Whether to obey court orders? Whether to meet privately to get off of the government’s radar screens?

These thoughts are a warning of what’s coming so that you can be prepared, so that your church won’t be surprised when it makes the front page and the evening news as anti-discrimination charges are filed by the government. Forewarned is forearmed (Old Proverb-1592).

February, 2015 Coldest Month in History

If you live in a handful of cities in the Northeast, you weathered the coldest month since reliable records were first kept, which for most places means a century or more of weather data. The average temperature in Bangor Maine came in at 6.2 degrees for February, said Corey Bogel, a meteorologist for the National Weather Service. That is about 15 degrees below normal and easily beats the old record of 8.4 degrees, from January 1994.

Further south the unusually cold winter of Massachusetts produced an incredible phenomenon 100 miles southeast of Boston on the island of Nantucket recently: frozen waves, or, as some are describing them, Slurpee waves. “When I got to the top of the dunes, I could see that about 300 yards out from the shoreline the ocean was starting to freeze,” said Jonathan Nimerfroh.

GFS model forecasts at the end of February showed some snow for portions of all 50 states in the next seven days and that includes Hawaii.

February 2015 was also Toronto’s coldest month ever. Over 1,900 Low Min Records were broken (272 tied) from Feb 19 to Feb 25, 2015 according to NOAA. The lowest temperature ever recorded in Cuba was also recorded in February. The Cuban Institute of Meteorology reported that last Friday morning (Feb 20) the temperature fell to one degree Celsius (33.8o F) in the town of Union Reyes in western Matanzas province. The previous record in Union de Reyes was set on February 18, 1996, at 2.5 degrees.

Environment Canada has confirmed this February was the coldest February in more than 100 years. The average temperature in Montreal last month was -15C. The previous record of -14.5C was set in 1979.

Between Feb. 1 and 26, Montreal was subjected to temperatures five to nine degrees lower than normal. The last time it was that cold in February was in 1889, and even that isn’t certain, as Environment Canada points out that data from that year is less reliable.

Environment Canada said Quebec City had 19 days below -20C, while it usually has nine. Montreal had 12 days below -20C, while the norm is five. And the Saguenay had nine days under -30C (emphasis theirs), while the norm is close to two.

In New Brunswick the snow piled up in huge drifts, in some cases trapping people inside.

The Great Lakes, once again almost entirely covered in ice at the end of the month, is causing worry in the shipping industry. “Obviously it’s been another brutal winter,” said Glen Nekvasil, vice president of the Lake Carriers’ Association. “If it keeps going it will be a challenging resumption to navigation when we get going again in March.”

“The lakes, at least Superior, Huron and Erie, are 95 or 96 percent covered, and about 85.5 percent total, which is a little more ice this year than at the same time last year,” said George Leshkevich, a research scientist based at NOAA’s office in Ann Arbor, Mich. Last year’s ice coverage was considered epic. It topped out at 92.6 percent coverage on March 6.

Sea ice coverage in the Antarctic continues to increase, according to data released by the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). The ocean’s sea ice levels were 44.6% higher than the 1981-2010 average, breaking a prevous record set in 2008 by 220,000 square miles. This is strange since it is summer down at the South Pole.

Despite dire predictions that the North Pole would be ice-free in the near future, Arctic Sea ice levels have been more stable than scientists predicted.

So far this winter, Arctic Sea ice levels are above where they were at the same time last winter and are well within the standard deviation of the 1981 to 2010 variation, according to daily sea ice data.

Europe’s CryoSat-2 satellite found that sea-ice volumes for the fall of 2014 were above the average extent for the last five years. Sea-ice levels were up sharply from 2011 and 2012, according to the satellite– only slightly lower than 2013 levels.

In 2013, CryoSat-2 found that Arctic sea ice levels increased 50% at the end of the region’s melting season. Arctic sea-ice coverage reached 2,100 cubic miles by that time, up from 1,400 cubic miles during the same time in 2012.

What great cause could unite Prince Charles, President Obama, the Pope, the Arab Oil sheiks, the United Nations, the European Union, the Russians, the Chinese, Pacific Island Nations, most undeveloped countries, the glitterati of Hollywood, left-wing politicians, unrepentant reds, government media, the climate research industry, Big Oil, Big Gas and the Green Blob? It must be something posing a clear and urgent danger to all humanity.

U.N. climate chief Christiana Figueres reveals the real reason behind global warming scare. At a news conference in Brussels, Figueres, executive secretary of U.N.'s Framework Convention on Climate Change, admitted that the goal of environmental activists is not to save the world from ecological calamity but to destroy capitalism. "This is the first time in the history of mankind that we are setting ourselves the task of intentionally, within a defined period of time, to change the economic development model that has been reigning for at least 150 years, since the Industrial Revolution," she said.

It has been completely discredited. Climategate revealed emails between Climate Change Alarmists detailing how even they couldn’t find any evidence of warming. Records clearly show there has been no warming for the past 17 years. And today the nation shivers in a seemingly never ending winter of massive snow storms and record breaking freezing temperatures. Yet the mantra pounds on about the coming disaster of Climate Change. Why do they cling to it? What keeps them going?

Yahoo News published in early March the following climate (religious) statement. “In parched California, rainfall patterns are essentially the same as they were 120 years ago, but humans have made it warmer and that added heat is driving the state's crippling drought, according to a new study by climate scientists. According the latest study, warm temperatures dry out soils and cause precipitation to fall as rain rather than snow, thus reducing annual snowpack essential for irrigation.

However on the same day we read, “A cold snap early Monday morning sent hail down in Huntington Beach, shocking people in the downtown area who weren’t expecting white stuff to come falling from the sky. The hail arrived as a winter storm pounded parts of Southern California on Monday, turning area beaches into a ‘winter wonderland’ and dumping up to 8 inches of snow on the mountains. In L.A. County, hail also fell, covering streets and cars on the Palos Verdes Peninsula.”

In addition, more evidence of global warming was seen in Mason City, Iowa, which hit a record low of 18 degrees below zero at 6 a.m. Friday, shattering its 115-year-old record for Feb. 27 of 12-below, set in 1899, the National Weather Service said.

Global warming climate experts will go to their graves like religious fanatics holding onto their precious beliefs and there is nothing we can do about that. The God of Nature has seen fit to disprove their idiotic theories and computer models in a most powerful and mocking way because they would not listen to real scientists who have known better for the 17 years it has been cooling. Like most religious fundamentalists they get angry and seek to put down what they say are climate change deniers but there is not a soul that I know that denies that climate is always changing day by day.

To all those people who cling to the theory of global warming, and it is just a theory obviously,  to them we should ask if record cold weather and record snow does not disprove the theory of global warming and to please state exactly what would disprove it? Short-term weather aberrations are not what we have this winter. Last winter was almost as brutal plus the fact (which global warming maniacs ignore) that it has been getting gradually colder for almost two decades.

In this book (due to be published end of March) we have the actual reality of climate presented along with a long list of scientists, weathermen and the history of warming and cooling on earth to sustain the fact that our collective futures has a lot of cold in store for us. The cold is a witness to the lack of heat though in global warming minds they see it in a different convoluted way. All logic is abandoned with the senseless thought that it is colder because it is warmer.

Korea: We Are Badass, Fear Us, Please

 

February 24, 2015: Since Kim Jong Un took over in 2011 he has presided over some fundamental shifts in North Korea. He maintained the free market legalization his father had introduced and reversed his father’s “military first” policy. This means the Workers Party (a nationalist/socialist organization that runs the country under the supervision of the Kim family) is again running the military. This appears to mean that the military budget (a state secret) has been cut to provide money to boost the economy. Thus after nearly two decades of annual declines in GDP, the economy has been growing. South Korean economists and banks estimate that the North Korean GDP growth was .8 percent in 2011, 1.3 percent in 2012, 1.1 percent in 2013 and a similar increase for 2014. Many attribute this continued growth to a 2012 decision of officially recognize that those who produced more should get more. It was not legal to be economically successful before that change. Since then the government has realized that this rapidly growing entrepreneur class is a potential threat to the Kim dynasty. At the same time the Kims were aware that the wealth this entrepreneur class was creating was keeping the economy afloat. More attention is being paid to keeping the entrepreneur class under control without destroying their economic benefits.  
From the beginning of his rule Kim Jong Un has showed more determination than expected. The most obvious example of that was how he has executed dozens of officials who he felt were not completely behind the new way of doing things. This included senior military leaders. Kim Jong Un is in the process of replacing many senior commanders with men he has more trust in. They replace men who either retired, were arrested or simply disappeared from view. All these changes produced more reports of hungry troops living in poorly heated barracks during the cold weather who now spend even more time on non-military activities (farming, construction, factory work or being rented to commercial firms for short periods). Thus recent calls for more “combat readiness” and “modern weapons” by Kim Jong Un are seen as purely propaganda. A growing number of troops who consider themselves uniformed slaves of the state for the now extended (for up to 12 years) period of conscription most males muse endure. A new law obliges all women to serve for a few years as well.
Kim Jong Uns brutal methods contributed to the recent UN investigation of North Korean labor camps, secret police and arbitrary executions ordered by the supreme leader. The UN declared this bad behavior crimes against humanity (but not genocide, as some had urged). Kim Jong Un dismissed all this as an American-sponsored plot to hurt North Korea. UN officials openly admit that it is unlikely the results of this investigation will have no immediate effect on North Korean behavior. But the report does make it more difficult for other countries to support North Korea in any way.
Kim Jong Un has also been unsuccessful at keeping South Korean culture out of the north. Most North Koreans now know much about South Korea and admire, or at least envy, the culture that is flourishing in the south. It wasn’t until the late 1990s that most North Koreans began to realize that the south was not, as decades of government propaganda had insisted, wretchedly poor but was in fact a much more prosperous and pleasant to live in. Over the next two decades more and more details of South Korean culture got to the north and with that a demand (from the people with any money, initially just the leadership class) for South Korean goods, including music and video. South Korean clothing, jewelry and even furniture became so popular that factories in China began turning out replicas to be exported to North Korea. That stuff has since been outlawed but some is still smuggled in. Kim Jong Un has increased efforts to keep South Korean artifacts out, realizing more than his father that these particular foreign influences could bring the government down. Meanwhile those allowed to travel regularly to China (traders, government officials and the like) keep a growing number of South Korean themed (or staffed) businesses going. China has refused North Korean requests to shut these enterprises down. China would prefer that North Korea be more like South Korea at least in terms of economic activity.
The growing use of soldiers for purely economic functions has coincided with the increased use of slave labor as a source of foreign exchange. This is basically the export of North Korean workers which in the last year has increased from 60,000 to 100,000 men and women. The government takes up to 90 percent of the wages these men and women earn outside the country (mainly in Russia and China) and holds the workers’ families hostage in case the worker does not return home when ordered. If someone does not come back, their families are sent to prison camps. For most of them this means an early and unpleasant death. For this reason most of the exported workers are older men with children. There are over 100,000 of these workers outside the country now, nearly triple the number used before since Kim Jong Un took over. Inside North Korea there is also a lot of slave labor in the form of prisoners rented out to firms. The most common source is the Labor Training Camps. These are for those sentenced to short (under six months) sentences for minor crimes. Usually these prisoners are rented out to work on construction sites or farms. In effect the profits from all this forced labor help to maintain the economic rewards program North Korean leaders have been depending on more and more to guarantee the loyalty and efficiency of the bureaucracy (managers, secret police and intelligence operatives) that keep the Kim family in power.
Officially the government still backs offensive military operations, even though the North Korean forces are less ready and their Cold War era weapons and equipment continue to serve because there is no money for replacements. Kim Jong Un attends well publicized military exercises for seizing South Korean islands near North Korea but this is all for show because each year North Korean troops grow less able to make such an attack while their South Korean adversaries grow more capable because of more and more new weapons and better trained troops.
Attempts to negotiate with North Korea over their nuclear and ballistic missile programs remain stalemated because Kim Jong Un is still seeking a high price for any sort of concession. North Korea continues to hold out for a major gift (size unspecified but apparently more than the United States and the neighbors are willing to pay) to get the north to shut down their nuclear and long-range ballistic missile programs. This is seen as such a threat that even China is getting more nervous about and more extreme in its threats to North Korea over the matter.
All this has been overshadowed (in Western media at least) by events in the Middle East. Despite the declining ISIL (Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant) prospects a recent opinion poll in the United States showed that 84 percent of Americans believe ISIL is the most serious threat over the next decade. International terrorism also has 84 percent of Americans concerned. Iranian nukes frighten 77 percent followed by North Korea (64 percent) and Russia (49 percent, actually a tie with the Islamic effort to destroy Israel).  North Korea has to raise its PR and propaganda game if they want to regain their reputation as the biggest threat. The problem is that North Korea has been at this “we are badass, fear us” game for over half a century and a lot of their techniques have lost their punch. It’s bad enough being poor and unsuccessful, but to also be ignored is particularly painful to the North Korean leadership.
Some of North Korea’s effort to be badass are pathetic. For example recently leaked documents and admissions by the NSA (American National Security Agency) confirmed that that the United States had penetrated and clandestinely monitored North Korea’s Internet as early as 2010 and described how this led to determining that North Korea was indeed behind the recent hacking of the Sony Corporation’s computer networks.  That North Korea was behind the Sony hack was long suspected. That the U.S. had long ago penetrated and was monitoring the North Korean networks was always thought possible, but there was never any proof.
Another example is the recent discovery that the website of the North Korean government owned and operated Korean Central News Agency was equipped to secretly plant (or try to plant) spyware on the PCs of people visiting the site. The infection code was set up so that the operators of the North Korean site could easily deliver different kinds of infections. This infection capability was apparently set up in 2012 and it is still unclear how many, if any, visitors were infected and exactly with what. Not everyone visiting the site would be infected when the North Korean system was rigged to deliver a payload to visitors because visitors with well-protected systems (like Internet security experts or anyone with a high-end antivirus system) would, at most, get an alert that this North Korea site was trying to infect them. It’s possible that the infection code was there as part of a training exercise for North Korean hackers. The code was not of the highest quality and looks like something student hackers might put together. Like just about everything else in North Korea the details of this hidden infection code are a state secret. So we have to wait for North Korea to collapse or for one of their hackers to defect to find out what is going on here. Whatever it is, it ain’t good but it ain’t very effective either.
February 15, 2015:  North Korea officials have ordered security agencies to do whatever is necessary to keep copies of the new American film “The Interview” out of the country. This film angered North Korea a great deal and illegal copies quickly appeared all over China. It is believed copies of the film are already in North Korea but passed around very carefully because the government apparently intends to execute some of those caught with the film and send the rest to labor camps. In part that is because reaction to the film in China was overwhelmingly positive and North Korean officials fear the film will also be popular with many North Koreas. Most Chinese thought the film was hilarious and an instant classic. Some Chinese web sites translated the film title to “Assassinate Kim Jong Un,” which was an intentional dig at the North Koreans. A few Chinese government owned media “reviewed” The Interview and did not seem as pleased with the film as the average Chinese. One government controlled media reviewer described it as; “senseless cultural arrogance.”  Interestingly the Chinese government did not order its Internet censors to crack down on these online messages discussing the film or try to interfere with the illegal distribution of The Interview inside China.  All this angered North Korea even more because China is the only major ally North Korea has. But China has not been pleased with North Korea lately, especially North Korean development of nuclear weapons and long range ballistic missiles. The Chinese government knows the average Chinese is even less happy with North Korea and allowed this reaction to The Interview to play out in order to send a message to North Korea. This is a common way to send a message in East Asia and North Korea did not show any official displeasure at the disrespect. They got the message, even if they did not like it. North Korea is not pleased with the fact that the movie is apparently going to make money, but is much more upset at the message from China.
February 12, 2015: North Korea announced a new collection of inspirational slogans about improving the economy. Worsening fuel shortages meant that most North Koreans are cold and living in the dark and did not get this news immediately and had to wait until it was their turn to get some electricity to operate their radios (which, legally, can only be used to get state controlled news). It is believed that this news did excite most North Koreans but it is unclear how much of that excitement was increased optimism and how much was greater anger.
February 9, 2015:  For the 18^th time South Korea sent a warship (and some naval commandos) to join the anti-piracy patrol off Somalia. These ships serve there for six months. Since South Korea began doing this in 2009 South Korean warships have rescued 31 merchant ships from pirate attack and escorted nearly 12,000 ships through these pirate infested water.
February 8, 2015: North Korea tested a new anti-ship missile which it boasted contained a new and very advanced guidance system. Students of North Korea military tech believe the reality is that the new guidance system in better than earlier ones which were considered barely adequate. The new one is considered more than barely adequate but not something anti-missile defenses on South Korean, Japanese and American warships cannot handle.
February 5, 2015: North Korea has ordered an investigation of the National Police in response to growing public anger at increased demands for bribes from police enforcing the crackdown on economic crimes, attempts leave the country, unsafe construction practices or use foreign cell phones. Some police have gotten greedy and routinely ask for more than the victim can afford to pay. This has led to some very public suicides to protest the actions of the greedy cops. The government has ordered provincial police officials to deal with this problem quickly, or else.
February 4, 2015: The Chinese Defense Minister visited South Korea and openly objected to South Korea installing the American THAAD anti-ballistic missile defense system. South Korea wants this for protection from North Korean missile attack. The Chinese would not come right out and say it but they object mainly because THAAD would also make South Korea less vulnerable to intimidation by Chinese ballistic missiles. South Korea openly refused to comply with the Chinese request and South Korean public opinion became even more enthusiastic about the high tech and very expensive (over $100 million per launcher and associated equipment) THAAD system. China sees South Korea more of an ally of the United States and a potential wartime foe than as an ally in attempts to keep North Korea from doing anything that would cause major economic and diplomatic problems (like starting a war).

Dr. Ben Carson is officially exploring the possibility of throwing his hat in the ring as a Republican contendor for the 2016 presidential race.

Carson filed the necessary paperwork with the Federal Election Commission on Monday to create his 2016 exploratory committee, which allows him to begin raising money for a campaign.

He is the former director of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Although he has no prior political experience, Carson became a popular conservative figure after delivering a highly publicized speech at the 2013 National Prayer Breakfast.

He now works as a political commentator for Fox News and has authored six best-selling books published by Zondervan.

Carson is strongly opposed to Obamacare, abortion, political correctness, and same-sex marriage.

"We are racking up a virtually insurmountable debt, stifling our economic potential, and placing our children's future at risk," he said in an e-mail announcing his plans to run.

"At home and abroad, we are silencing honest debate about our challenges, our differences and our culture, all in the name of political correctness."

"I've decided to explore a potential run for the office of president because I believe my values, life experience, and willingness to speak the truth and seek solutions, prepares me well to lead our nation toward more prosperity, security, and freedom for every American," he said..

America knows this was happening, but we don’t want to face it. It has never been exposed to the world like this. — Around the nation, Kangaroo Courts are abusing justice. Once people walk through those doors, their rights are regarded as dung and they are silenced in fear of tyrant judges and a system that has nothing to do with justice.

What we see here are 1st, 4th, 5th, 6th and 14th amendment violations! But what precipitated all the events in this courtroom and the open defiance of the 1st amendment by Douglas County. Why did they only allow approved press to record. Press that went out and reported exactly what the State wanted them to.

“Who Stands With Me?” That’s what my brother Nathan said when he was grabbed by police and dragged out. Simply for being a patriot. It’s time to decide if you will stand! — We were attacked, violated and arrested for defending the Constitution, our right to due process and our right to free speech. And it’s happening all over America behind closed doors. It’s time to take back our courts. It’s time to take back our liberty.

The justice of tyrants is to accuse their victims of the very actions and crimes they have committed! It was a rigged trial of a young man that Douglas County, Washington officials wanted to make an example of. What was his crime? He asked a police officer why he was being stopped! Yesterday, I filed with the Federal Election Commission the necessary paperwork to formally consider a run for President of the United States in 2016. Over the course of thousands of operations as the head of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital, I have spent most of my adult life caring for very ill children. Here’s How the White House Is Justifying Trying to Ban Certain Ammo Without Congress

The White House on Monday defended the Obama administration’s move to ban certain bullets used in a wildly popular rifle, a proposal that has stirred opposition from Second Amendment advocates and a prominent member of Congress.


The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is considering a ban on M855 ball ammunition, which pro-gun groups have said is among the most popular cartridge used for the AR-15 rifle and is frequently used for sporting purposes like hunting, because of its so-called “armor-piercing” capabilities.


"It would be fair to say, as we are looking at additional ways to protect our brave men and women in law enforcement, and believe that this process is valuable for that reason alone,” White House press secretary Josh Earnest told TheBlaze during the press briefing. “This seems to be an area where everyone should agree that if there are armor-piercing bullets that fit into easily concealed weapons, that puts our law enforcement at considerably more risk.”

“So I put this in the category of common-sense steps the government can take to protect the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding Americans, while also making sure that our law enforcement officers who are walking the beat every day can do their jobs just a little more safely,” he continued.


Current law provides exemptions for certain ammunition that could be considered “armor-piercing” bullets – such as the M855 – if the ammunition is primarily used for sporting purposes.


The proposal is open now for public comment at the ATF level.


Gun Owners of America spokesman Erich Pratt called it an attempt to do through executive branch regulation what the White House couldn’t get done in Congress.

“In 2013, the administration lobbied hard to get Congress to ban AR-15s and other similar semi-automatic rifles. But even in a Democrat-controlled Senate, anti-gunners could only muster 40 votes, a clear minority,” Pratt told TheBlaze Monday.


“So the proposed ATF ban on M855 ammo is simply an attempt by the Obama administration to make an end-run around the Congress. After all, if it can ban a common cartridge that is used for the AR-15 rifle, then it can substantially drive up the cost of using the firearm."


Last week, the National Rifle Association and Rep. Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.), chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, drafted a letter to ATF Director B. Todd Jones, saying the regulation being considered “does not comport with the letter or spirit of the law, and will interfere with Second Amendment rights."


“ATF has now rescinded that exemption because repeating handguns that fire the M855 round are commercially available,” the letter said. “Yet this round is amongst the most commonly used in the most popular rifle design in America, the AR-15. Millions upon millions of M855 rounds have been sold and used in the U.S., yet ATF has not even alleged – much less offered evidence – that even one such round has ever been fired from a handgun at a police officer. The idea that Congress intended LEOPA to ban one of the preeminent rifle cartridges in use by Americans for legitimate purposes is preposterous."


The ATF proposal states: “The firearm industry has developed commercially available handguns designed to use conventional rifle ammunition. This ammunition meets the content requirement of the definition, but previously was not classified as ‘armor piercing’ under the statute because there were no handguns that could ‘use’ it.


As a result of the availability of these handguns, however, some conventional rifle ammunition now falls within the statutory definition and is properly classified as ‘armor piercing ammunition,’ despite the fact that the ammunition itself has not changed. Consequently, ammunition manufacturers have requested exemptions for this ammunition.”
