New survey ranks U.S. students 36th in the world - How do we improve?

As the controversy surrounding the Common Core continues, a new survey puts U.S. students far down on the list of the best. A global education survey released Tuesday shows when it comes to math, reading and science, teens in the U.S. rank 36th in the world. Students in Shanghai are rated the best.

The results come from an assessment done last year. More than half a million students from 65 countries took a two hour test as part of the 2012 Program for International Student Assessment , or PISA. Students in East Asian countries performed the strongest with students in the Chinese city of Shanghai doing the best. Singapore came in second in math, followed by Hong Kong.

The global exam, which was given to 15-year-olds around the world, is considered the worldwide benchmark for education ranking by country. The test measures standards in subjects like math, science and reading across Europe, North and South America, Australia, Asia and parts of the Middle East. This year, Tunisia in Africa also participated.

U.S. performance was extremely low, doing average in reading and science and well below average in math. We failed to reach the top 20 in any of the subjects tested. America fell notably below the United Kingdom and well behind most of our Asian counterparts.

Education Secretary Arne Duncan calls America's performance education stagnation. "The brutal truth...that urgent reality...must serve as a wake up call against educational complacency and low expectations," Duncan said. "The problem is not that our 15-year-olds are performing worse today than before...the problem, instead, is that they are simply not making progress. Yet, students in many other nations...are advancing, instead of standing still."

Duncan says average scores in the U.S. are dragged down by a large number of poor minority students. "It is absolutely true that we have large, troubling, deeply unacceptable achievement gaps in America," Duncan said. And these gaps are painfully evident on this PISA assessment."

The results also show that several countries which once lagged behind the U.S. in 2009 are now out-performing American students in areas like science and math.
On a positive note, Duncan says there has been a 50 percent jump in college attendance by Hispanic students and a national bump in math and reading scores among teens. He says innovation, resources and urgency are needed to propel American students to a more competitive level in the global marketplace.

An analyst says one of the reasons that Asia did so well is the push to get quality teachers in the classroom. "Putting strong emphasis on the teaching profession, that is recruiting the best teachers, giving them good working conditions, allowing them to prepare their classes," said Guillermo Montt, analyst for PISA. "And the fact that they recruit good teachers comes from the fact that they pay good salaries, the fact that they attract the best students from each corporate to the teaching profession. So it is a profession that is valued tremendously in society as a whole, not only among other professionals, but by students, by parents, school principals, system-wide."

Switzerland ranked in the top of the European countries in math and 9th overall in the world. German students ranked above average in all areas.

For the first time, the U.K. failed to make the top 20 in any of the categories and ranked 26th overall. One British teacher says the approach taken in Asia isn't necessarily the best one. "I think we have a different approach to education over here, and I don't think that's a bad thing," said Tom Murphy, a teacher in Great Britain. "The PISA results in 2009 revealed that the Far Eastern pupils didn't on the whole enjoy their school experience. I don't think that's the case here. I think our students enjoy coming to school. They experience a wide range of different lessons every day and I think they like the experience and I think that's a good thing."

What does the U.S. need to do to compete on a global scale and produce the best students? How about removing these 'elitists' and their phony 'government' from the nation entirely and returning to our sovereign Republic? How about removing education from a criminal communist central rogue 'government' and returning the education of our students to the parents and the neighborhood school houses, or at least local school districts run by a panel of qualified participants capable of making decisions for the schooling of their children?  DOING IT INSTEAD OF IGNORING THE REAL PROBLEM AND ALLOWING IT TO CONTINUE TO OUR DESTRUCTION?

‘Chipping’ Humanity: The Global Power Elite’s ‘Product of the Future’

In recent years we have seen more and more science-fiction-like nanotechnologies integrated into incredibly tiny RFIDs (Radio Frequency Identification Devices). These devices can be embedded into a person’s body to serve as a Global Power Master controlling mechanism as they increasingly encroach on civil liberties, political freedom and peoples’ sovereignty everywhere.
Many people relate this to historically recurrent ‘End-Times’ predictions, such as the ominous prophecy in the Christian Book of Revelation. Others more pragmatically point their fingers at the total political and economic control the Elite intends to impose upon all of mankind.
Let’s do some mental Aikido and take a more Zen approach towards this problem. Yes, it is true that developments in these and many other types of technologies are moving at a highly dynamic, even frantic pace, making it harder to understand and cope with the changes they bring about and, more importantly, to identify the perils they entail in a correct and timely manner.
Every day we learn of some new micro-electronic wunderapparat unimaginable until yesterday. Some RFIDs are so tiny they can be implanted in the human body without us being aware of them; thus, beware of pandemic-scare induced mass mandatory vaccinations that could serve to slip one into you! We also have retinal scanners and other ID gadgets, remote controlled drones as small as birds and insects, and a myriad of snooping devices of every shape and kind.

I’ve Got You Under My Skin…

Frankie Valli sang this song when I was a teenager in the sixties: who would have thought that half a century later a rash might not actually come from a girlfriend you like, but from some RFID chip that – like it or not – someone stuck under your skin?
Luckily, the grave dangers of this are being understood by increasing numbers of people who rightfully perceive that RFIDs are not just technological wonders but tools for total control used by the Global Power Masters – and they need us to accept them ‘voluntarily’ even if with varying degrees of fear and misgivings. In other words, people must either be persuaded or forced into accepting them. Persuasion, of course, is the preferred road, but if that doesn’t work, well… we’d all better watch out!
Their mass propaganda – through movies, advertising, TV – instils into the brains of millions of people the voluntary acceptance of Radio Frequency Identification chips. They use swarms of different arguments all designed to convince us that chipping will make life safer, easier and more secure.
They tell us we won’t need to carry ‘stealable’ cash around with us anymore; that if we suddenly fall ill on the street or when travelling our full medical records will be right there on us for emergency medics to retrieve; and – think! – if your little child is late coming home from school, no need to panic: his electronic tag will identify his location for you…
In a truly mature, just, morally solid and intellectually balanced society, the mass application of such technological advancements could represent a true blessing. But in today’s world, this is at best naïve and utopian. We all know that the problem is not the technology in itself, but rather the inevitable development and application of the technology by the power elites to serve their demented goals.
Thankfully, people in every country are slowly waking up to the fact that over and above national governments – whether ‘democratically elected’ or not – there reigns a mostly unseen and immensely powerful global elite. It increasingly distorts the forces shaping society, mocks the genuine desires and expectations of decent people everywhere, and is bent on imposing its will upon all of us. They are, in fact, forging a veritable World Government right before our noses in which they and only they will call the shots.
Call it ‘New World Order’ or ‘Global Power Masters’ or ‘Mega-banker Cartel’ or ‘Illuminati’ or any other conspiracy flavour you prefer. We can sense it and catch glimpses of its dark shadow passing over key world events. If we listen very closely, we can even hear it whispering ideas and orders hither and dither to corporate CEO’s, national presidents, prime ministers, cabinet and parliament members, media moguls, and public & private officers in an immense variety of organisations and institutions.

Don’t Throw the Baby Out With the Bath Water

Right now there are two basic actions we can take:
(a) Resist implementation by the ruling power elites to enslave us, and
(b) Design socially constructive awareness-generating applications of these technologies.
We know the Global Power Masters would love to chip us all right here and now. Recently, a US Senate Republican High Tech Task Force praised RFID chip applications, describing them as “exciting new technologies… holding tremendous promise for our economy.” They vowed to “protect” RFIDs from regulation and legislation.1
When confronted with such challenges, we must first of all properly grasp what the problem is really all about so that we don’t fight back in the wrong way and miss out on hidden opportunities. History shows that when revolutionary inventions appear, peoples’ first reactions are often of ‘fear and trembling’. As we all know, we get used to new technologies, just as we are familiarised with a million different new things in life: some better, some worse…
Let’s understand how we can use these technologies to fight back. How we can fool their System; how we can mock their controls, checkpoints, scans, radars and surveillance cams. How we can understand the Matrix by taking a step back and looking at the Matrix from outside in order to understand what makes it tick.

More is on the Way…

The ‘next generation’ of technology is on its way, and as always is driven by the strategic logic of military application. The London-based Voice of Russia quoted Russian defence minister Anatoli Serdjukov stating in March 2012 that “the development of weaponry based on new physics principals – direct-energy weapons, geophysical weapons, wave-energy weapons,2 genetic weapons, psychotronic weapons, and so on – is part of the state arms procurement programme for 2011-2020.”3
Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper explains that research in electromagnetic weaponry has been secretly carried out in the US and Russia since the 1950’s with “previous research showing that low-frequency radio waves or beams can affect brain cells, alter psychological states, making it possible to transmit suggestions and commands directly into people’s brains though processes with high doses of microwaves damaging the function of internal organs, controlling behaviour and even driving victims to suicide.”4
Their target is clear: our physical brains and thereby our minds. What’s the antidote? Clearly, when confronted with increasingly dangerous mind games the one true antidote is lucidity and awareness. The power elites know only too well that it will be difficult to get people to accept RFIDs and similar technologies of control. This is why they are actively working on setting up a veritable ‘gate’ through which they hope billions of people will pass, even if they have to do so against their will and desire.
This, unfortunately, is very dangerous because that Gate lies precisely where the Global Power Masters are strongest and where they wield the most control: FINANCE & MONEY.

The Money Gate Threshold

The Book of the Revelation says that in the ‘End-Times’ satanic forces will reign that “causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand or in their foreheads; that no man might buy or sell, save he that hath the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name, 666.”5
This might actually turn out to be a self-fulfilling prophecy, but nevertheless it is coming about. Literally. We are moving away from the use of real money – i.e., paper currency – and being pushed, coaxed, trapped and ensnared into using electronic-based money. It is happening fast and this change requires we all have ‘the mark of the Beast’…
Sweden, for instance, is on the verge of outlawing real money and just having plastic and electronic funny money as the only way to buy and sell. Svenska Dagbladet – Sweden’s main conservative newspaper – recently reported that Swedbank informed its branch offices in the fashionable Stockholm neighbourhood of Ostermalm they will no longer operate with cash money for payments or withdrawal of funds. Only electronic money. Cash has been abolished at this branch with many more branches following suit. It has also been reported that Germany began to abolish cash transactions step by step from August 2012. And it’s happening all across the world, but particularly in Western countries dominated by the power elites.
Financial institutions are selling the idea of cashless transactions by saying it makes life much easier for ‘customers’ and ‘users’. Marketing goes something like this: plastic and electronic funds transfers are forms of “intelligent money,” whilst good old currency bills in your pocket is “stupid money.” “Intelligent” electronic money allows the banking system to exert full control of all money, something they cannot do when money is in the form of “stupid” cash.
The goal is clear: replace and annul the use of cash, meaning that anonymous operations are no longer possible. Every electronic transaction leaves a trail: if anyone is targeted by the Powers That Be for whatever reason, they will know what you bought, when, from whom and for how much, and will know or infer what you bought it for. If you are algorithmically or otherwise marked as a ‘rebel’ or – God forbid! – ‘terrorist’, then your chip ID will be cancelled and you’re dead! At least in economic and financial terms. Life will then become a very, very difficult challenge…
The European Union is pushing the idea that full control over private transactions is a must. Their excuse: 'money laundering'. Although the greatest money launderers in the world for many decades are the megabanks like HSBC, CitiCorp and Goldman Sachs. And not just in corrupt countries like Argentina, Mexico or Colombia, but in the US, UK and EU where corruption is rampant amongst top government and banking officers, albeit implemented with better PR image marketing.
Controlling all assets – public and private – ensures that when banks really blow it, they will not only have recourse to be ‘bailed-out’ by governments using taxpayer money, but they will also be ‘bailed-in’ by their confiscation of clients’ bank account balances, as we recently saw happen in Cyprus with the Laiki Bank and the Bank of Cyprus.
The ‘Chipping of Mankind’ is the Global Power Elite’s ‘product of the future’ with which they expect to impose full economic and financial control over people. It comes with a strong PsyOps module that for many decades has been telling and teaching us what money is and what money is not, all aligned of course to their convenience.
However, when you study the power elites more closely and read between the lines, you realise they have identified a series of ‘public enemies’. First and foremost is the Sovereign Nation-State, a veritable wall that is their ‘Public Enemy No. 1’ so to speak. A truly sovereign State necessarily has two inalienable functions and goals: (a) to promote the Common Good of the majority of the population inside a country’s borders and (b) to defend the National Interest when confronted with the huge challenges and perils of today’s tremendously dangerous world ‘order’.
Coming very close behind, the Elite’s ‘Public Enemy No. 2’ is Sovereign National Currencies. Just as Sovereign Nation-States in country after country have been purposely eroded into ‘colonial administrative entities’, the concept of Sovereign Currency has been eroded into funny ‘private money’ controlled by the megabankers themselves.
Let’s take a closer look at this because understanding the true nature of money and currency can make all the difference in surviving what the Elite have in store for us.

Public Money = Real Money / Private Money = Fraud

There are basically two types of money, something the boys over at The Financial Times and Wall Street Journal will certainly never tell you: Public Money and Private Money. Public Money is the dollar, euro, peso and pound bills in your pocket that circulate in different countries and regions of the world. It is issued by public banking authorities, normally a national central bank having monopoly issuance rights. Any private citizen trying to print such money will, if caught, end up in jail. And rightly so, because counterfeiting currency adds money to the national and regional financial system, but adds no work to the Real Economy.
Whilst decent people work to earn money (which means they give something of value to the Real Economy in exchange for their salary: build cars, roads, bake bread, render services), anyone who counterfeits currency is an antisocial private individual who enjoys the benefits of what money can buy without contributing anything of value in exchange.
The message to people is clear: You want money? Work for it!
Private Money, however, is created by private banks working together as a ‘system’ which thanks to Fractional Lending legally allows them to create loans for amounts 10, 20 or 50 times greater than the size of the actual currency deposits in their vaults. To add insult to injury, after creating money out of thin air, they then lend it out to individuals, companies, even government, charging interest for those loans!
Private banking money, however, is just a figure on your bank statement or a blip on your ATM screen. Like all screens it can go blank ‘in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye…’ Because private banking money is a figment of your imagination. The message this System gives to the bankers is also clear: You want money? Create it out of nothing!
Why are banks allowed to do this in country after country you might ask? Because they have grown so immensely rich and powerful, they operate as a cartel that finances and brings politicians and government officers into power who are aligned to their interests, and who will time and again do their bidding, sanctioning the laws, rules and regulations they need to do this.
Doing away with cash transactions amongst people and organisations means doing away with ‘stupid’ Public Money, and replacing it with electronic and plastic ‘intelligent’ Private Bank Money. Music to bankers’ ears!
When the system goes global – international or, should we say, supranational – then there is no limit to how much each bank can create out of nothing. And when Megabankers’ ponzi schemes periodically and predictably come crashing down like a castle of cards then, no sweat: the bankers either manoeuvre to get a government ‘bail-out’ using taxpayer money (because the megabanks are ‘too big to fail’, remember?), or they impose a ‘bail-in’ stealing their account-holders’ deposits.
Isn’t it nice to be a banker in todays’ usury-based, parasite-controlled financial system which, in turn, controls the economy which, in turn, controls government through suitably aligned politicians and political parties which, in turn, drives the displacement of Public Money with Private Money which, in turn, irrecoverably indebts government to the Megabankers who, in turn, order governments to promote and impose the chipping of their populations…
Simultaneously, for decades now the global mega-banking establishment has worked really hard through the media, universities and their own key players to blind us to a key factor that no one ever talks about: the huge difference that exists between Public Money (Sovereign Currency issued by the State that can generate interest-free loans) and Private Money (created by private banks out of almost nothing which can grow exponentially through compound interest).

Sovereign-Debt Death Trap

To ensure that all countries come neatly under the fold and carry out all these insidious plans, nations must themselves become artificially indebted to the Megabankers through Sovereign-Debt death traps.
In order to achieve the goal of controlling each and every individual through government-imposed chipping, first you must control governments. Here’s how that works:
The private Megabanker cabal uses their leverage/control over governments and politicians to ensure legislation is passed making sure the local central bank never provides the correct and proper amounts (volume) of Public Money that the real economy of goods, services and investment needs. This will invariably lead to a credit crunch or inflation (or even both).6
Then, in come the private bankers, asking governments: “Do you need money to build highways, finance defence, education and health? No problem: we’ll lend all you want!”
Governments start and keep borrowing and borrowing, way beyond their means, whereupon fiscal indiscipline and collapse kicks in…
Bankers and successive politicians then refinance ‘sovereign-debt’ again and again until it balloons way beyond all repayment possibilities of the victim-nations. The politicians will merely dump that into the ‘public debt’ and leave it for future generations to pay; whilst the bankers cash in on the interest payments. Ah, the wonders of compound interest! And so whole nations fall under the grip of the Megabankers…

Manchurian Candidate Managers

Why does this happen again and again in many countries and regions? Bad luck? Inept management? Sheer stupidity? Corruption? Yes, of course. All of them are true, correct and we read about them in the papers every day. But there may also be another ‘missing factor’ well worth keeping in mind.
Are we seeing a new generation of increasingly ‘chipped’ presidents, prime ministers, cabinet secretaries, senators, deputies, representatives, ambassadors, judges, that are wittingly or unwittingly doing their job as public ‘managers and CEO’s’ for the Megabankers?
Are properly modulated and directed electromagnetic waves and other technologies and systems behind the political decisions and blunders of our political leaders?
Perhaps studying, identifying and understanding them more closely will help unravel their global reach and huge power. It might even expose notorious Manchurian Candidates who – like an army of berserk, amok-running madmen – are occasionally triggered to suddenly go on shooting sprees and bombing attacks in schools, campuses, military facilities, shopping malls, movie houses, marathons, street corners, for no apparent reason as we see happen in the US and elsewhere…
Or maybe there are very clear reasons… We’re just not looking in the right places. Time to start taking a second look at all these developments and facts and begin thinking more and more with our own minds and brains.

Target stock plunges as 1 million boycott

Retailer loses billions in fallout over transgender-restroom policy

Target elevated its social activism a week ago, boasting of a new policy allowing transgender “team members and guests” to use whatever restroom they like, and largely has remained mum on the issue since but its board members and stockholders might have something to say soon, as the company’s value has plunged billions of dollars since the announcement.

A boycott organized by the American Family Association over the company’s aggressive move surged past 1 million participants Thursday night.  On Friday, the count still was exploding, rising from 1,020,650 to 1,023,850 in minutes.  The signers of the petition agreed that Target’s store policy “endangers women and children by allowing men to frequent women’s facilities.” But, more importantly, they also affirmed, “Until Target makes the safety of women and children a priority, I will shop elsewhere.”

He cited statistics from Perfect Price, a database of credit card transactions, showing the average “dollars spent per trip by Target customers is $62.” “So I’ll use a very conservative calculation to extrapolate the impact of the #BoycottTarget petition so far. Assuming that the average customer makes two trips per month (a likely conservative number), and the signatures grow to one million (this was written just before that benchmark was passed), we arrive at $1.5 billion … in lost revenue annually to Target.” But he pointed that that there are many who “likely will never sign a petition.”  “They’ll simply leave Target in disgust as they see a company that has abandoned common sense values,” he said.

 He also noted that consumers offended by the social engineering agenda of Target can pressure their 401K and other investment vehicles to sell out of Target.
“Dumping your investment in this company will also send a strong signal to both Target and the rest of the mega-corporate world that they should keep their nose out of the social battles and simply focus on selling their products, period,” he wrote.

Target “is not responding to customers’ opposition,” reported Breitbart.  But the report noted the company’s stock dropped from $83.98 per share on April 19 to about $81.33 on April 28. On Friday, it had dropped down to the next low-water mark, of $79.77, down almost 2 percent just for the day.  Even at the halfway point, Breitbart reported, the company’s stock market value was down by $1.5 billion, to $48.8 billion.  The report noted the company’s Twitter account “has been very inactive.”

A Target spokeswoman, Molly Snyder, did double down on the company’s policy days ago, stating: “We certainly respect that there are a wide variety of perspectives and opinions. As a company that firmly stands behind what it means to offer our team an inclusive place to work – and our guests an inclusive place to shop – we continue to believe that this is the right thing for Target.”

An NBC News headline read, “‘Bathroom’ protests will likely leave Target unscathed, experts say.”  But support for that notion came from Bob Witeck of Witeck Communications, a marketing communications firm that “focuses on the LGBT market.”  “If you look historically at corporations attacked or boycotted, there’s no empirical or market evidence that they ever suffered any specific losses,” he said. “None of these boycotts have legs, they don’t last for a long time.”

However, the report also noted an industry metric called “Buzz Index,” from YouGov BrandIndex, which measures both positive and negative consumer perception.  “YouGov found that Target’s reputation fell by nine points, with a slightly more negative perception among women,” the report said. “YouGov also found that the percentage of consumers who said they would consider shopping at Target the next time they visited a store in its category fell by four percentage points, from 42 percent to 38 percent.”  “It’s meaningful, meaning it’s statistically significant,” YouGov BrandIndex CEO Ted Marzilli said in the report.

He said it’s part of a larger issue.  “This is more than just about Target. This is about a political debate that’s been brewing over the last couple of months. The reality is I think Americans are uncertain about this – or there are many that are certain, but on both sides of the issue,” he said.

On Friday, AFA said its campaign contends the Target policy “opens the door for predators and voyeurs who would take advantage.”  AFA President Tim Wildmon said the campaign has gathered support more quickly than any of the other initiatives his organization has launched over the years.  “Corporate America must stop bullying people who disagree with the radical left agenda to remake society into their progressive image,” he said. 

“#BoycottTarget has resonated with Americans. Target’s harmful policy poses a danger to women and children; nearly everyone has a mother, wife, daughter or friend who is put in jeopardy by this policy. Predators and voyeurs would take advantage of the policy to prey on those who are vulnerable. And it’s clear now that over one million customers agree.

“We want to make it very clear that AFA does not believe the transgender community poses this danger to the wider public,” he continued. “Rather, this misguided and reckless policy provides a possible gateway for predators who are out there.”

Award-winning journalist and WND Managing Editor David Kupelian noted that only a few years ago, virtually everybody in the world would have agreed it’s “stark, raving mad” to allow grown men to use a women’s restroom or locker room.  “Today, it is still stark, raving mad,” he said. “But the lesbian-gay-bisexual-transgender movement, fueled by its success in imposing same-sex marriage on America, is now trying to force middle America to pretend that a serious mental illness, one that frequently involves amputating healthy body parts in a desperate but impossible quest to morph into the opposite sex, is perfectly normal and we must all join in the pretense or be demonized or legally prosecuted.  “So now they’re getting some real push-back. That is a very good thing.”

In his most recent book, “The Snapping of the American Mind,” Kupelian wrote about gender identity disorder – the strong feelings of belonging to the opposite sex that drive some people to try and physically change their genders. This erstwhile disorder was recently renamed “gender dysphoria” in an effort to de-pathologize it, according to Kupelian. So today being transgender 

is considered completely normal while those who don’t accept the normality of transgenderism are often labeled “transphobic,” which suggests someone has a disorder, or phobia.  But Kupelian believes his fellow countrymen see through the pro-transgender propaganda.

“Most Americans recognize the ‘transgender movement’ for what it is – a deeply misguided campaign to normalize mental illness and to force all Americans to abandon their common sense and core values and affirm and celebrate what is really pathological delusion,” he said.
“Remember: It is literally impossible to change your gender. Every one of the trillions of cells in your body is permanently branded male or female from birth and cannot be changed.”

WND columnist Michael Brown wrote on the Target issue: “People have said, ‘Enough is enough!’ – and for good reason. Just think: Target has declared war on gender. Last year, Target announced that it was doing away with boys’ toys and girls’ toys. Instead, all toy aisles are now gender neutral, since Target didn’t want to promote gender-stereotyping – as if it’s bad to say that most boys prefer GI Joe toys to Little Princess toys or most girls prefer doll houses to Nerf guns or girls like pink and boys like blue.”

He continued: “Now Target has gone even further, imposing the struggles of less than 1 percent of the population on the rights of the other 99 percent. … Target has crossed a line, and that’s why millions of Americans will soon be saying to Target, ‘We used to love shopping in your stores, but your radical activism and your scorning of our concerns has driven us away.'”

US weighing under-the-radar routes for Syrian refugees?

The Obama administration appears to be bowing to international pressure and pursuing under-the-radar “alternative” ways to bring in more Syrian and other refugees -- as soon as this year.

The latest indication that the administration is preparing to take in more than the 10,000 Syrians this year it already has committed to follows a March 30 “high-level meeting” on Syrian refugee admission in Geneva, Switzerland -- convened by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

At the meeting, attended by State Department officials, U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi called for countries to pursue “alternative avenues” for refugees – such as student and work visas, and expanded family reunification programs.

“These pathways can take many forms: not only resettlement, but also more flexible mechanisms for family reunification, including extended family members, [labor] mobility schemes, student visa and scholarships, as well as visa for medical reasons,” Grandi said. This followed an adviser suggesting the U.S. ask universities to offer scholarships to Syrian students, and help Syrian-Americans bring in their extended families outside the “time-consuming” refugee resettlement process.

The State Department immediately issued a media note reaffirming the “commitment to resettle at least 10,000 Syrians in FY 2016 and increase the total number of resettled refugees from around the world to 100,000 by the end of FY 2017.”

Additionally, in a wordy statement, the State Department appeared to agree with many of Grandi’s conclusions.
“The United States joins UNHCR in calling for new ways nations, civil society, the private sector, and individuals can together address the global refugee challenge. 

The United States encourages other countries to consider expanding resettlement and other forms of admissions for all refugee populations, ensuring that more of those in need have the opportunity to start their lives anew in safety and with dignity,” the note said.

Nayla Rush, senior researcher at the Center for Immigration Studies, said she thinks the administration is “100 percent” behind the idea.  “My fear is they aren’t really going to let anyone know about it,” Rush said.

Unclear is whether the refugees can be properly vetted, especially if they come in through an array of different visa programs. The Center for Immigration Studies,  which advocates for lower immigration levels, reported on the U.N. meeting earlier this week.

In its media note, the State Department said the U.S. “has created a program to allow U.S. citizens and permanent residents to file refugee applications for their Syrian family members.”

Rush believes this is a sign the Obama administration is already expanding the family reunification program. “Why create a family reunification program for Syrian refugees when refugees in the U.S. are already entitled to ask for their spouse and unmarried children under 21 to join them? Unless of course, the aim is to widen family circles to include aunts and uncles, brothers and sisters, grandmothers and grandfathers,” Rush said in a blog post on the subject

The State Department did not say if it was looking at expanding the student visa or family reunification programs, but told FoxNews.com that Syrians being considered on non-immigrant and immigrant visa categories must be considered in accordance with U.S. immigration law.

The department has worked with the Syrian Consortium for Higher Education in Crisis since 2012 to help students and scholars impacted by the bloody civil war. 

A State Department official said this consortium includes U.S. colleges that have committed to hosting Syrian students and scholars. The official said “several immigrant visa options” are available to Syrians, including family-sponsored visas.

Shuffling potential refugees into other programs could prove problematic.

On one hand, standard immigration vetting often requires a higher degree of documentation, as officials are more likely to waive requirements for asylum-seekers or refugees who are assumed to have fled their homes quickly. However, the Obama administration repeatedly has heralded its two-year process for refugees as one of the most rigorous in existence. Standard immigration programs usually take much less time.

Any attempt to expand the process could encounter opposition from Congress. In November, the House passed a bill to enhance Syrian refugee screening, but the legislation stalled in the Senate amid Democratic opposition.

Last month, Rep. Michael McCaul, R-Texas, who co-authored the bill, wrote in a FoxNews.com op-ed that the Syrian refugee crisis risked becoming a “terrorist Trojan horse.”

At a rally Thursday night in Orange County, CA, Donald Trump was joined on stage by Jamiel Shaw, whose son was murdered by an illegal alien in 2008, and other members of the Remembrance Project.

"They're unbelievable, they've suffered," Trump said before bringing them up on the stage. "These are great people."

"We demand Americans first," Shaw said. "We don't care about illegal aliens." The person who murdered his son was an "illegal alien on his third gun charge."

"They all have a very similar story to tell," Trump said. "People that shouldn't have been here, people that should have never been allowed to come over the border and they come here like its nothing, they walk through it like its nothing," he said as the crowd chanted "build a wall."

"We're going to stop it and we're going to build a wall," Trump promised.

Consistent Surge of People Crossing Illegally

BROWNSVILLE – The number of people crossing the border illegally is on the rise. The Border Patrol chief said the number of people coming across is consistent with the surge two years ago.

Chief Patrol Agent and Commander of the South Texas Corridor, Manuel Padilla Jr., insisted this time his agents are better prepared and border security isn’t in jeopardy.
However, some people don’t agree.

More than 80,000 people crossed the border illegally  since October. It includes more unaccompanied children and family members from Central America and Mexico.  It’s about the same as during the immigration crisis of 2014.  But Padilla said this time, it’s different. “So what happened in 2014, we had a surge but it became a crisis because we did not have the infrastructure and the processes to deal with those numbers. I can tell you 2016, even if we were to reach the numbers of 2014, it will not be a crisis,” Padilla said.

Numbers for Central Americans went up or stayed consistent. The number of Mexicans being apprehended by Border Patrol went down. Padilla said fewer Mexicans are crossing over.  “If you look at the demographics of Mexico, right now the family units that we saw in Mexico when I was growing up when you had families with 10 plus kids, that isn’t a common thing anymore. Now it’s two or three kids, so the economy in Mexico and here has some factors,” Padilla said.

CHANNEL 5 NEWS contacted Stratfor – an intelligence gathering agency based out of Austin – to compare data. Agency analyst Scott Stewart agreed the improving economy in Mexico might be discouraging Mexicans from making the treacherous trek to cross the border illegally.  “The flow is very dependent on the economy, especially for Mexico, and we definitely saw that in the recession in 2007-2008. We saw reduction of Mexicans coming over just because there weren’t the jobs,” Stewart said. 

Border Patrol Union President Chris Cabrera’s findings are different. He said Central Americans have found the way in and they’ll keep coming.  “Until we start enforcing the laws, they’re going to continue to exploit the loop holes in the system,” he said.  He said the people from Mexico crossing illegally aren’t being caught.

Cabrera said the struggle to secure the border will continue.  “What happens there is now you need to bring other agents from other parts of the county to help transport these people.  Make sure they’re safe, secure and get them into the station. While in doing that, you leave huge voids all across the area,” he said. The impact will be felt by the more than 3,000 agents who serve in the Rio Grande Valley.

Padilla insists the border is secure and he can request additional agents for the area when needed. Cabrera said at least 1,500 more agents are needed in the area.

Critics of the book make the legitimate claim that there is no direct proof the actions at State were done because of the donations, one would have to believe in an amazing set of coincidences to believe they were unrelated.

Thanks to the revelations in the book, separate from the email scandal the FBI is investigating Ms. Clinton’s State Dept. tenure for corruption:

“The agents are investigating the possible intersection of Clinton Foundation donations, the dispensation of State Department contracts and whether regular processes were followed,” one source said.

The development follows press reports over the past year about the potential overlap of State Department and Clinton Foundation work, and questions over whether donors benefited from their contacts inside the administration.

Additionally, according to the reporters inside the FBI, pressure is growing to pursue the case.

One intelligence source told Fox News that FBI agents would be “screaming” if a prosecution is not pursued because “many previous public corruption cases have been made and successfully prosecuted with much less evidence than what is emerging in this investigation.

Peter Schweizer explained to Bloomberg:

“It’s a story that resonated with people on the printed page,” said Schweizer. “We felt we needed to look at other platforms, too. The key is to engage voters. If you look at what’s motivating Trump and Sanders fans, it’s disgust with cronyism and corruption in Washington.”

Indeed! As the the book was an important tome, Clinton Cash, the movie will inform voters the truth about the corrupt Clinton dynasty. I for one can’t wait to see the film.

Standoff = "A deadlocked confrontation between antagonists."

An eyewitness to what took place at the Malheur Wildlife Refuge in Oregon concerning those protesting the DC government's unconstitutional usurpation of land has said that there was no standoff in Oregon.

Deb Jordan, co-host of The Pete Santilli Show, took to Facebook to convey that she witnessed absolutely no standoff in Oregon.

"Did you know there was never a "STANDOFF" at the Malhuer Refuge in Harney County Oregon?" Jordan wrote. "The Oregon Standoff is a myth created by the press at the command of the FBI, Sheriff David Ward, and Judge Steven Grasty who acted under direction of Oregon Governor Kate Brown. Governor Kate Brown's office controlled the narrative right down to what David Ward and the FBI would say to the press."

So, if there was no standoff, what exactly occurred?

Jordan gives us an interesting insight that the press failed to report.  "At no time were the men and women unable to communicate freely with law enforcement -- actually the opposite occurred," she penned. "They traveled freely from County to County. They traveled freely in and out of the town of Burns and met with local authorities on an almost daily basis. Most, including Ammon Bundy, shook hands with and had meals in local establishments with law enforcement and FBI present who were having a meal at the same establishment at the same time. They traveled freely to buy groceries, and shop in local clothing stores. They went to meetings in town, and yes, they even attended local church services on Sundays. They met in the homes of many local citizens."

She added that she didn't observe law enforcement or protestors treat one another as if they were frightened.

"I saw them engage in civil conversation," she wrote. "I saw them shake hands. I saw them smile and laugh. I saw them interact on a level that was anything but hostile or threatening."

Additionally, while the mainstream media was reporting that the people were not only frightened, but wanted militia and those who were a part of the protest to leave, Jordan saw something completely different.

"Hotels and businesses were appreciative of the much needed business, and were happy to do that much needed business with their new found friends," she said. "Hugs and thank you's were the norm."

Even the media were not frightened to cover the story there.

"I asked other Media persons if they were frightened to be there and they all said, 'No'!" Ms. Jordan said. "Some even said it was kind of boring. Some said they didn't understand why the FBI and David Ward insisted that people were terrified."

It's because their every move and words were being orchestrated, not just by Kate Brown's office, but also from Washington, DC.

"At no time was there a hostile law enforcement presence at the Refuge," Jordan continued. "The most terrifying things that happened was in the form of an ambush designed by the FBI and OSP that ended in violence, and a counter protest after the fact where LEO failed to constitutionally protect the protestors from harm."

While it is true that we have even referred to the Oregon protest as a standoff, Jordan's comments are valid. She was on the ground there and guns were not drawn or brandished about and threats made. Of course, there were statements made that protesters would defend themselves with their weapons, but they made no direct offensive threats to members of local police, state police or federal agents.

People should keep this in mind as upcoming trials will most likely attempt to build on the already trumped up charges and labeling of patriots as "lawless and violent" have been used to keep those seeking to uphold the Constitution and call out a corrupt government in jail.

Trump Releases His Plan for 2nd Amendment

TRUMP  RELEASES  HIS  PLAN  FOR  2ND  AMENDMENT ... LEAVES  MILLIONS  FURIOUS !

 One common criticism of billionaire businessman and presidential candidate Donald Trump is that he far too often speaks in vague generalities and rarely offers specifics about where he stands on the issues.

That is no longer the case, at least regarding his stance on gun rights and the Second Amendment, as Trump just released his official policy position on his campaign website.

“The Second Amendment to our Constitution is clear. The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed upon. Period,” the position paper began.

Trump went on to explain that the right to keep and bear arms is a right that pre-exists both the government and the Constitution, noting that government didn’t create the right, nor can it take it away.

He also rightly denoted the Second Amendment as “America’s first freedom,” pointing out that it helps protect all of the other rights we hold dear.

In order to protect and defend that right, Trump proposed tougher enforcement of laws that are already on the books, rather than adding new gun control laws.

Citing a successful program in Richmond, Virginia that sentenced gun criminals to mandatory minimum five-year sentences in federal prison, Trump noted that crime rates will fall dramatically when criminals are taken off the streets for lengthy periods of time.

Trump also proposed strengthening and expanding laws allowing law-abiding gun owners to defend themselves from criminals using their own guns without fear of repercussion from the government.

Noting that many of the recent high-profile shooters (can see shooters had been 'gov' drugged in bland look of eyes and programmed mental state if look closely at pictures) had clear mental problems that should have been addressed, Trump proposed fixing our nation’s broken mental health system by increasing treatment opportunities for the non-violent mentally ill, but removing from the streets those people who pose a danger to themselves and others. (Proven MKUltra, a CIA rogue 'government' operation, was involved in Sandy Hook, the Colorado School shootings and other false flags in America involving young people and guns)

Trump would do away with pointless and ineffective gun and magazine bans, and suggested fixing the current background check system already in place rather than expanding a broken system.

Furthermore, Trump proposed a national right to carry, a national concealed carry reciprocity law that would compel states to recognize the concealed carry permits of any other state, exactly as drivers licenses from anywhere are accepted by all states today.

Finally, Trump would lift the prohibition on military members carrying weapons on military bases and in recruiting centers, allowing trained military members to carry weapons to protect themselves from attacks by terrorists, criminals and the mentally unstable, as we have seen recently.

This is great, and those who cherish our right to keep and bear arms should be pleased by Trump’s stated position on the Second Amendment.

Of course liberal anti-gunners will hate this, but their opinion on the matter is of little concern to us “people of the gun,” of which Donald Trump is apparently one.

Muslims are working very hard to smuggle in terrorists from Mexico into the US, to conduct major massacres of American citizens. As we read in one recent report:

Federal prosecutors say a 21-year-old Somali-American planned to open up routes to the U.S. through Mexico so ISIS terrorists based in Syria could penetrate the U.S. border and attack American cities.

The jailed suspect, Guled Ali Omar, awaits trial on charges he conspired with several other Muslims in the Somali community in Minneapolis to join ISIS to fight in jihad against the West.

The FBI secretly recorded Omar and his cell mate discussing several times the possibility of attacks in the U.S, as well as murdering an FBI agent.

Images from the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center, as well as that of Osama bin Laden, were found on Omar’s phone.

Most chilling was the account of a plot to help ISIS fighters from Syria infiltrate the U.S. through Mexico, which wouldn’t be hard to do thanks to the lack of border enforcement by the Obama administration.

Under Obama’s loose immigration policies, which allow removable aliens to remain in the country, many illegal immigrants who commit additional crimes while in the U.S. are being ignored, even though local police have urged ICE to take control of criminals in their jails and kick them out of the country.

According to newly obtained government figures, ICE last year opted not to deport but to release 19,723 criminal illegal immigrants, including 208 convicted murderers, more than 900 convicted sex offenders and 12,307 convicted drunk drivers.
