Another  Government  Warns  People  To  'Be  Prepared  For  The  Worst'  ---  Are  Megaquakes  Coming?

With ISL reporting that yet another government, the Czech Republic, is warning their people to "prepare for the worst," joining the growing list of governments across the globe that have issued similar warnings, including the U.S and more recently Germany, we are brought back to the questions of what exactly are they worried enough about to issue instructions to start "preparing," all within the last few months?

In Germany the plan to instruct their populace to prepare was in case of an "attack or catastrophe," and when Barack Obama told U.S. citizens to "be prepared" for disaster, it was timed with the Cascadia Rising 2016 drill, along with the unveiling of a FEMA app, and a look at the current seismic activity across the globe, the active and erupting volcanoes, the increasing strength and frequency of earthquakes, we have to wonder if these governments aren't issuing these warnings because they are expecting a series of megaquakes.

According to this real time map, created by Mapbox using USGS earthquake data feed, there have been over 8,600 tremors detected worldwide over the past month alone, with over 1,600 tremors detected just this past week, just to put the massive amount of seismic activity occurring now into context.

Today we woke to the news that at least 73 people were killed, with another 150+ believed to be trapped in rubble after a 6.2-magnitude quake struck at 3.30am local time near Norcia in Umbria, central Italy, with scenes described as hellish and witnesses saying it looked like "Dante's inferno," with four towns almost wiped off the map, according to The Daily Mail.

Following that a 6.8-magnitude hit central Burma. These follow the news last week of a powerful 7.4-magnitude quake shook the Southern Atlantic Ocean, according to the USGS.

The point being... we are seeing a unusual amount of activity, specifically major earthquakes and a number of active and/or erupting volcanoes.

Both volcanoes and earthquakes are the result from the movement of tectonic plates, and scientists, such as Jonathan Snow, a volcanologist at the University of Houston,  have previously stated that earthquakes often foretell volcanic activity, stating "It’s very common for the two to be linked. Volcanic eruptions are usually preceded by earthquakes large and small."

In noting the recent warnings from multiple governments over the past few months, in conjunction with the increase of large earthquakes occurring, ANP reached out to a source more familiar with the topic of earthquakes and volcanoes and were told via email that what is happening in the Azores, the Canary Islands, along with the 7.4 in the Southern Atlantic are "very troubling," which is indicating "something very unstable happening,"  and telling me "I can't remember this much concurrent activity on the mid Atlantic ridge, let alone a major quake of the magnitude that hit 300 plus miles north of Antarctica."

That instability and specific mention of the Canary Islands leads us to the topic of the Cumbre Vieja volcano which is an active although dormant volcanic ridge on the volcanic ocean island of Isla de La Palma in the Canary Islands, Spain, that erupted twice in the 20th century – in 1949, and again in 1971. In 2011 a peer-reviewed paper by Steven N. Ward from the Institute of Geophysics and Planetary Physics, University of California, Santa Cruz California, USA, and Simon Day from Benfield Greig Hazard Research Centre, Department of Geological Sciences, University College, London, UK, titled "Cumbre Vieja Volcano -- Potential collapse and tsunami at La Palma, Canary Islands, sparked a vigorous debate among the scientific community, when they found, according to their abstract summary that "Geological evidence suggests that during a future eruption, Cumbre Vieja Volcano on the Island of La Palma may experience a catastrophic failure of its west flank, dropping 150 to 500 km3 of rock into the sea. Using a geologically reasonable estimate of landslide motion, we model tsunami waves produced by such a collapse. Waves generated by the run-out of a 500 km3 (150 km3 ) slide block at 100 m/s could transit the entire Atlantic Basin and arrive on the coasts of the Americas with 10-25 m (3-8 m) height.

Americas East Coast Megatsunami Canary Islands Geologists S. Day and S. Ward consider that a megatsunami could be generated during a future eruption involving the Cumbre Vieja on the volcanic ocean island of La Palma, in the Canary Islands.

In 1949, the Cumbre Vieja volcano erupted at its Duraznero, Hoyo Negro and San Juan vents. During this eruption, an earthquake with an epicentre near the village of Jedy occurred. The following day Rubio Bonelli, a local geologist, visited the summit area and discovered that a fissure about 2.5 km long had opened on the eastern side of the summit. As a result, the western half of the Cumbre Vieja (which is the volcanically active arm of a triple-armed rift) had slipped about 2 m downwards and 1 m westwards towards the Atlantic Ocean.

The Cumbre Vieja volcano is currently in a dormant stage, but will almost certainly erupt again in the future. Day and Ward hypothesize that if such an eruption causes the western flank to fail, a megatsunami will be generated.

La Palma is currently the most volcanically active island in the Canary Islands Archipelago. It is likely that several eruptions would be required before failure would occur on Cumbre Vieja.[12][13] However, the western half of the volcano has an approximate volume of 500 km3 (5 x 1011 m3) and an estimated mass of 1.5 x 1015 kg. If it were to catastrophically slide into the ocean, it could generate a wave with an initial height of about 1,000 metres (3,281 ft) at the island, and a likely height of around 50 metres (164 ft) at the Caribbean and the Eastern North American seaboard when it runs ashore eight or more hours later. Tens of millions of lives would be lost as New York, Boston, Baltimore, Washington D.C., Miami, Havana, and many other cities near the Atlantic coast are leveled.

The Cumbre Vieja volcano is just one of many examples of why those paying close attention to the increase of larger magnitude earthquakes are also keeping a very close eye on volcanic activity around the world, because just one megaquake could set off a chain reaction that could quite literally affect the majority of  global community.

BOTTOM LINE

With predictions for the "big one" hitting the West Coast, to the massive activity seen at The Ring of Fire, to the more recent 7.4 magnitude earthquake shaking the Southern Atlantic,  and the devastation in Italy this morning, there seems to be potential danger from every direction, so we can understand why countries around the globe are warning their people to "prepare for the worst," but we cannot explain why they are doing so in just the past few months when there didn't seem to be the same sense of urgency before that.

Makes us wonder, what do they know that we don't?

Maybe that blood red moon over New York last night is a prophetic sign.

Louisiana Mayor Rick Ramsey said Tuesday that the flooding in his town was “man-made” and that he plans to file a lawsuit against both state and federal governments. He expects insurance companies across the state to join him in his suit. 


 According to Mayor Ramsey, last year the government expanded a six foot cement barrier built along Interstate 12 that was supposed to drain water but instead prevented rising water from draining away from his town.  This new man made construction put the city of Walker in a bowl like what happened in New Orleans when the levy broke.  The barrier prevented any water from draining out of Walker.



Mayor Ramsey stated, ““I’ve been begging [the government] for three-and-a-half years to give us more drainage under the interstate. When the Amite River went up, it hit that wall.  We have video evidence that shows the concrete barrier and water lapping over the north shore of the interstate and bone dry on the south of the interstate.  They basically build a dam for Walker.”

The mayor had been warning the state and federal governments about the potential flood danger  for three years.

Many are looking deeper into the situation as more than a concrete barrier problem. They are asserting blame on the Environmental Modification Convention (ENMOD), formally the Convention on Prohibition of Military or Any Other Hostile Use of Environmental Modification Techniques which bans weather warfare. (The use of weather modification techniques for the purposes of inducing damage or destruction.)

This is a terrible crime against American citizens!  This is the reason why the media is not reporting on the flood.  They do not want any real information to be leaked!

Pray for Mayor Ramsey that he not commit suicide during this exposure to the evil weather and flood attack on Louisiana!  The truth must be exposed!

The problem as Arnie notes is very long-standing and began with a gross over-reach and misrepresentation and fraud back in the 1860's.  The fraud occurring here was just part of the fraud occurring worldwide.  As we have learned, what happened here also happened in Canada, New Zealand, Australia, India, Africa, Europe----- all using the same boilerplates. 

So this was begun throughout the old British Empire like a virus infecting the whole machinery of government and the relationship of all those governments infected with the people that government is meant to serve.

Arnie's interpretation of reality is simplistic in my view and pre-supposes that all these people did know (or do know) what they are doing and know that it is wrong and are doing it anyway. 

I take the more measured view that I didn't know what was going on and was just a cog in the wheels during the years I worked for the STATE OF ALASKA and Department of Labor and so on, so if I didn't know this---- who did?  Maybe some people many steps up the ladder, but nobody in my ranks which were still fairly high in the overall structure.

My observation is that information is kept compartmentalized in such a fashion that there is very little chance of anyone outside the core management group ever getting a glimpse of the Big Picture and seeing that it is a crime syndicate at work. This then allows the rats to trade on the good, well-intentioned people they hire and use them as a smokescreen and as unwitting tools to accomplish their fraud.

I have talked to many, many people in state and federal government and the light is just now, very dimly, beginning to come on. 

For someone who has worked as a Securities Trader on Wall Street it is child's play to look at a "Birth Certificate" and recognize it as a bond.  It's on bond paper.  It's signed by an officer of the probate court--- the Registrar.  It has the required form and numbers.  But how many of us work as Securities Traders on Wall Street---- ?

I rest my case.  I didn't see it.  Arnie didn't see it.  I'd guess at least 95% of Americans and Brits and Canadians and Aussies didn't see it, because if they did---- just like Henry Ford said---- there would be politicians hanging from lampposts already and long ago.  This was done by fraud and stealth.  Our ignorance was preyed upon and utilized and encouraged---- even enforced. 

So unlike Arnie, who seems to have an amazing lack of introspection regarding his own former ignorance, I am not big on the Blame Game.  I figure if it took me forty years to figure it out, what chance would Joe Schmoe, carpet installer, ever have?   None.  Colonel House was right.  Not one in a million will have the interest and be in position to figure it out, and of the 400 who do, half will be too old and tired to fight and another 25% will be sunk to their gills sucking off the teats created by the fraud, and another 15% will be technocrats with no communication skills who are frightened out of their minds by what they have glimpsed, which leaves about 40 of us nationwide across all the generations who MIGHT put it all together and who MIGHT raise their hands and who MIGHT have the moxie and resources to bring it forward into the political arena and who MIGHT succeed in raising the alarm and prodding public action........

Not big odds.  Not at all.  Which explains why the rats have been bold enough to take their "inventions" down to the Patent Office and so obligingly provide us all with irrefutable public records in their own words giving all the details of their scheming and iniquity.

This also explains why the fraud has managed to succeed and thrive and survive in our midst all these years.  Nobody recognized it for what it was.

Now that we do correction is inevitable as rain falling.  It's just a matter of cluing in more and more and more people. Eventually those participating will be shamed into correction and those being victimized will raise enough rumpus to see it stopped.

That's another thing that I disagree with Arnie on.  He has always wanted to build a big, monolithic "machine"---like a political party to address this situation.  I have never wanted that.  It has been my theory that doing that would simply be a lot of time and energy spent on the machine and that such an organized effort would give the perps something to aim at and label and target as "opposition"---- when in fact giving the information to people and letting them take 350 million different avenues forward is ultimately more taxing and harder to define and confine and in the end more effective.

One must also remember that our abusers are also for the main, victims.  They pay the same taxes.  They labor under the same threats.  They eventually realize which side of the fence they need to stand on.  It doesn't take baseball bats and screaming and ranting and accusations and insults a la Arnie.  It takes time---- time for people to take in the information and test it, time to see one's own situation clearly, time to react, form a plan, and do something. 

Anything. 

Which brings me to the answer---- not everyone can or will or should do the name change, though I highly recommend it as an effective means of reclaiming your basic identity and placing yourself outside the political presumptions of Babylon.

Instead, we each have to consider what we CAN do and do that.  If you don't have the money or the understanding or the commitment to do a name change, well, that's your choice.  Maybe all you can do is share the information with your next door neighbor or your best friend or your pastor. 

Who knows what you can or "should do"---- but God and you? 

I am perfectly willing to admit and even to suspect that there are people out there right now who don't have a nickel to spare, yet have the means to make a greater contribution than I have.  That's just the nature of things.  God delights in sending stripling boys to face giants and mild-mannered carpenters to defeat death and stuttering men to serve as prophets.  It pleases him to raise up a Great-Grandma from Big Lake, Alaska.  And I have no doubt that he will raise up many, many even less likely people to do greater services and find their own ways to end this fraud.

The Democratic Party often warns us that mixing big money and politics will corrupt democracy. They must have nominated Hillary Clinton to prove it.

The Clinton 'Foundation' was ostensibly set up to solve the world’s most pressing problems. Though it’s done some fine work, its most fruitful program has been leveraging Clinton’s position in the State Department to enrich her family, friends and cronies.

It’s against federal law for charities to act in the interests of private business or individuals. Yet the Clinton 'Foundation' secured high-paying gigs for its namesakes and helped for-profit corporations with family ties set up lucrative deals.

As it turns out, that’s probably the least corrupt part of the story.

It is becoming clear the 'foundation' was a center of influence peddling. Rock stars. Soccer players. Conglomerates. Crown princes. All of them paid in. All of them expected access to the 'US government'.

Want a seat on a 'government intelligence advisory board' even though you have no relevant experience? The Clinton 'Foundation' may be able to help.

Recently released emails prove the 'charity’s' officials had sought access to State Department personnel while Hillary was in charge. Folks like the prince of Bahrain, who donated $32 million to the 'foundation', needed to get in touch.

An Associated Press investigation finds that more than half the private citizens who met or spoke with Clinton while she was secretary of state also happened to donate to her 'foundation'. What are the odds? (Who and what REALLY received those 'donations'? Where are the results of a thorough audit of this rogue 'foundation'?)

It’s implausible that a majority of the 154 citizens — people who’d kicked in at least $156 million to her charity — would also happen to catch Clinton’s ear as she toiled away at State. It’s also worth remembering this list doesn’t even include officials from the 16 governments — many of them autocrats — who threw the 'foundation' another $170 million.

Recently, the 'foundation' announced it would ban donations from corporations and foreign countries if Hillary is 'elected president'. The question is: If it’s a conflict of interest when Hillary will be 'president', why wasn’t it a problem when she was secretary of state?

Let’s also not forget that during Clinton’s tenure at State, she failed to disclose that regimes across the world were giving her charity hundreds of millions. Because she needed to hide this, she ended up sending 110 emails containing classified information — eight of which had “top secret” information, according to the FBI.

These days, Hillary brazenly goes on Jimmy Kimmel to clown around about her “boring” emails.

Well, if they’re so irrelevant, why was she hiding them from the Justice Department? If it’s no big deal, why did it take four years and a lawsuit against the State Department to gain access to her planning schedules? 

Why did she lie to the American people? 

Erase tens of thousands of emails? 

Set up a private server in the first place?

Hillary claims running the State Department gave her the experience and temperament necessary to be 'president'. But, if anything, it reminds us of the Clintons’ propensity for scandal and dishonesty. And, if Clinton 'wins' this year, she’ll become the most ethically compromised 'president' in contemporary times. Perhaps ever.

The Federal Government Is Trying To Grab 140 Square Miles Of Private Land In Texas

THE  'FEDERAL  GOVERNMENT'  IS  TRYING  TO  GRAB  140  SQUARE  MILES  OF  PRIVATE  LAND  IN  TEXAS

 The federal government wants to take as much as 90,000 deeded acres from private landowners along the Red River in Texas. Why? The answer is stranger than fiction.

 
How much more are the American people going to sit back and allow the crime syndicate in Wash DC take from the people before we DO SOMETHING TO PUT A STOP TO IT?? This is NOT our 'government' but a worldwide crime syndicate robbing, raping and murdering the people worldwide. WHY do we ALLOW them to continue?

I expose the excesses of the bureaucracy

The 'federal government' (??) is trying to take as much as 140 square miles of deeded land in Texas from ranchers who’ve owned and have paid taxes on the property for generations.  

This is occurring in north Texas, along Red River on the Texas-Oklahoma border. 

What made the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) make this claim is unclear (as this is being fought in court, the BLM isn’t answering questions - the BLM, NOT a lawful 'government' department or agency, is yet another private corporation servant of the crime syndicate operating out of Wash DC), but the ramifications make last year’s 'occupation' of BLM buildings in Oregon’s Malheur Wildlife Refuge seem like a Boy Scout jamboree.

This fight has been going on for a number of years now in the courts.  

Seven families are behind the lawsuit trying to stop the BLM from taking their deeded property. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and a lot of other Texas politicians praised the landowners for suing. 

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton filed a motion to join the suit, which the court approved. Paxton said, “Washington, D.C., needs to hear loud and clear that Texas will not stand for the 'federal government’s' infringement upon Texas land and the property rights of the people who live here.”

If you’re wondering why you haven’t heard about this land war before, it is likely because this story quickly gets more complex than a Spanish corrida de torros.
Before getting into all that, it’s worth putting this in context by looking back at the 1948 classic Western, named not coincidentally, “Red River.” The movie opens with John Wayne looking south from a wagon train to the Red River. He decides there is good grass for beef that way for a man with the grit to take the ground, hold it and turn it into a ranch that will help feed a growing nation. He goes south with his partner (Walter Brennan) and is soon joined by a boy muttering madly about an Indian attack on the wagon train (Montgomery Clift plays this character when he becomes an adult). They fight off an Indian attack and, not long thereafter, Wayne outdraws a gunslinger hired by a Spanish rancher to keep settlers off the ranch given to him by the king of Spain. The movie then flashes forward to an older Wayne who has made his ranch, his American dream, with sweat and blood, but after the American Civil War his cattle are worth little in the South, so he must drive his cattle north in a desperate effort to keep his ranch and to feed all the people around him. The 'government' isn’t there to help him. He doesn’t resent this. He knows that he, and the men with him, don’t need handouts, just good old fashioned American guts. (Where are our guts?)

At the basis of this fictional plot is a true story about the men and women who settled the land and made it produce, as best they could.  Now many generations later, the ranchers who own and work this land might lose it, not to rustlers, drought or a crater in cattle prices, but to a far-off bureaucracy in Washington, D.C., because, the BLM says, land claims dating back to the Louisiana Purchase give them the power to take land where the river once ran. 

(America, do you not discern what is happening with these situations? If the BLM claim WAS true, WHY did this not come up many years ago?  WHY NOW?  Do you not see purposeful actions to not only violate the people's rights, but to rouse them up for civil war so they can destroy us?  Are we going to stand still and let them mow us down?  Or stand up and fight?)
 
Naturally, the shocked landowners responded with a lawsuit. Since then this complex fight has attracted the attention of the Texas governor, congressmen and legal advice from the attorney general of Texas. It also attracted Austin Curry, a founding partner of Caldwell Cassady & Curry. Curry is perhaps best known for getting a jury award of $532.9 million against Apple in Smartflash v. Apple. He is an attorney who specializes in David-and-Goliath battles over property rights (intellectual or physical).

Do you not see a growing situation developing here in this country?  Oregon?  Nevada?  Texas and Okla?  Property around Lake Lewisville, Texas has also recently been under attack by the BLM.   What other properties are currently in process of being seized by the criminal 'federal government'?  Even now the situation is brewing concerning the 'federal government's' violation of the 'federal treaty' with the Indian Tribes as the 'federal government' attempts to over rule the sovereign lands belonging to the tribes in the states to have a pipeline to service the Bakken oil pipeline run through their sacred burial grounds, grazing and farm lands, including the poisoning and deleting of their water sources involved.  

What properties are next?  YOURS?!

Do we STAND TOGETHER with our brothers and sisters in this nation and, if necessary, fight together to maintain our rights and freedoms?

Do we back off and leave them to face the enemy along - as has happened with the Bundys, and others, including Pete Santilli?  

Or do we all die together as we stand alone, forsaking our brothers and sisters and thinking the problem won't touch us and will eventually just 'go away'?  

There is no more time to sit back and watch. 

We are losing as long as we continue to choose to not get involved and to not help our brothers.

The Camp of the Sacred Stones has swelled from a few dozen to more than 2,500, according to Standing Rock Sioux Tribe officials. They are calling for further review of the Dakota Access oil pipeline, approved by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at the end of July without a full environmental assessment. Last week, a few dozen Native Americans showed up to protest the $3.8 billion, 1,172-mile-long pipeline that would cross right through their sacred land. As word spread, however, the few dozen turned into more than 2,500 native Americans. Because of the large turnout, a brief victory ensued for the people after the developers of the four-state oil pipeline agreed to halt construction until after a federal hearing in the coming week.

In spite of both the company building the pipeline, Dallas-based Energy Transfer Partners, and the federal government applying pressure, the Native Americans from the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe have remained resilient.

On Tuesday, the government placed a restraining order on the protesters prohibiting them “from interfering with its (Energy Transfer Partners’) right to construct the Dakota Access Pipeline (the “Pipeline”) in accordance with all local, state, and federal approvals it has obtained.”

However, the protestors remained steadfast — and peaceful.

“As we have said from the beginning, demonstrations regarding the Dakota Access pipeline must be peaceful,” Standing Rock Sioux Chairman David Archambault II said in a statement to reporters on August 17. “There is no place for threats, violence or criminal activity. That is simply not our way. So, the Tribe will do all it can to see that participants comply with the law and maintain the peace. That was our position before the injunction, and that is our position now.”

“The pipeline presents a threat to our lands, our sacred sites and our waters, and the people who will be affected must be heard,” Archambault told reporters. “Peaceful demonstration can be very powerful and effective. But the power of peaceful demonstration is only diminished by those who would turn to violence or illegality. We cannot let that happen. The Tribe is committed to doing all it can to make sure that the demonstrations are conducted in the right way.”

In spite of the threat to the sacred land and the unscrupulous action of the state in taking that land on behalf of big oil, government officials maintain their justification.

“Dakota Access has obtained the necessary easements and rights of way to construct the Pipeline in North Dakota and the necessary federal, state, and local permits for the Oahe Crossing,” the court said. “In accordance with the permits and approvals obtained for the Pipeline project, Dakota Access has commenced construction activities in North Dakota.”

On Saturday, the group appealed to the United Nations in a last stitch effort to prevent their land from being taken from them and given to Energy Transfer Partners.

“We specifically request that the United States Government impose an immediate moratorium on all pipeline construction until the Treaty Rights and Human Rights of the Standing Rock Tribe can be ensured and their free, prior and informed consent is obtained,” Chairman Archambault and the Treaty Council said in their appeal to top U.N. human rights officials.

As a matter of extreme urgency, the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and Treaty Council jointly submitted an urgent action communication to four U.N. human rights Special Rapporteurs citing “ongoing threats and violations to the human rights of the Tribe, its members and its future generations.” The tribe’s water supply is threatened by construction of the Dakota Access pipeline, which was permitted by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in late July, despite the objections of three federal agencies including the federal Environmental Protection Agency, the Department of the Interior and the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation. 

"This pipeline’s construction is being carried out without the Tribe’s free, prior and informed consent in direct contradiction to their clearly expressed wishes.”

The hearing is scheduled for Wednesday in Washington D.C. on the tribe’s request for an injunction.

The Dakota Access pipeline violates tenets of the U.N. Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, including the “right to health, right to water and subsistence, threats against sacred sites including burial grounds, Treaty Rights, cultural and ceremonial practices, free prior and informed consent, traditional lands and resources including water, productive capacity of the environment, and self-determination,” the appeal said. It cites environmental racism stemming from the Army Corp’s decision not to locate the pipeline north of Bismarck over concerns it would endanger the city’s water supply, while issuing permits to trench through burial grounds and the Tribe’s main water supply. This is a direct violation of the human right to water, the appeal said.

“This submission calls attention to the urgent and worsening threats and violations of the human rights and ways of life of Standing Rock Sioux Tribe who depend greatly for their means of subsistence and their physical and cultural health upon the Missouri River,” the appeal said, citing a myriad of oil spills and leakages.

“The Dakota Access Pipeline poses an imminent threat to the Missouri River due to potential contamination by oil spills directly impacting the Tribe’s drinking water,” the appeal continued. “Based on data from a large number of oil pipelines, spills of toxic oil are a near certainty. Most experts believe it is not a matter of if but when such a spill will contaminate the ground and river water upon which the Tribe depends.”

The tribe’s protest was so successful that it led to North Dakota Gov. Jack Dalrymple declaring a state of emergency “for the purpose of protecting the health, safety and well-being of the general public and those involved in the protest.”

“The executive order can help the state and local agencies manage costs associated with providing a heightened law enforcement presence and activates the State Emergency Operations Plan to coordinate the efficient flow of resources,” read the press release.
However, the thousands of people from the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe remain peaceful — in spite of government provocation. It also raises the question as to why taxpayers are footing the bill to protect the billionaires building the pipeline.

In Iowa, similar protests against the pipeline are underway by multiple farmers who are arguing that the state’s use of eminent domain for the Dakota pipeline is in violation of federal law.

The farmers have filed a lawsuit noting that the Dakota pipeline is a private company and not a utility and that Iowa would not even have distribution points.

What this pipeline represents is the corporatocracy’s grip over the rights and property of individuals. By a simple government decree, a private corporation can usurp the property rights of individuals to bolster their bottom line.

Cannon Ball, ND — (Common Dreams) Growing in number and spirit, the Standing Rock Sioux protest against the Dakota Access Pipeline is swiftly gaining strength ahead of a federal hearing on the controversial project. Support has spread across the country, and thousands have descended on the peaceful “prayer camps” in recent days, prompting state officials on Monday to remove the demonstrators’ drinking water supply. North Dakota homeland security director Greg Wilz ordered the removal of state-owned trailers and water tanks from the protest encampment, despite the sweltering heat, because of alleged disorderly conduct, according to the Bismarck Tribune, including reports of laser pointers aimed at surveillance aircraft. “People are getting overheated now already,” said Johnelle Leingang, the tribe’s emergency response coordinator, as temperatures hovered around 90º F on Monday. “It’s very hurtful.” Tribal activists say the state’s response, which includes surveillance, road blockades with military checkpoints, and a state of emergency declaration, has been overly aggressive and manipulative. “It is deeply ironic that the Governor would release emergency funds under the guise of public health and safety, but then remove the infrastructure that helps ensure health and safety in the camp,” said Tara Houska, national campaigns director for Honor the Earth. The supplies were provided last week by the North Dakota Department of Health at the tribe’s request to support the roughly 2,500 people now gathered along the Standing Rock reservation’s border on the Cannonball River, near where the pipeline is slated to cross. LaDonna Allard, director of one of the prayer camps, said, “The gathering here remains 100 percent peaceful and ceremonial, as it has from day one. We are standing together in prayer…Why is a gathering of Indians so inherently threatening and frightening to some people?” “This is nothing but repression of our growing movement to protect our water and future generations,” Houska added.
