private liquid saving accounts, under the guise of a government tax. The
prospects of an all out run on the banking system have jumped tenfold.
Essentially, a government is using the power of the state, to steal funds not
because of the bankruptcy of a banking institution, but because of a failure
of the entire EU financial system. The forbidding precedent of a seizure of
individual wealth, by a stroke of a pen, runs contrary to the shrinking

Millions of Chase Bank customers were affected by an unfortunately timed glitch which resulted in their checking and savings accounts showing a zero balance for several hours yesterday, prompting many to take to Twitter and express panic that their money had been stolen. Reaction to the glitch was undoubtedly made more intense by the fact that the top global news story yesterday was about how residents of Cyprus were facing a mandatory “tax” that would see 10 per cent of their savings plundered for a banker bailout. After Chase was hit by a denial of service attack last week, the bank blamed an “internal” issue for the glitch which left shocked customers thinking their online and mobile banking accounts had been emptied of deposits. The issue was resolved by 7:30pm PST. ABC 7 reports that numerous customers heading to local ATMs and were relieved to see that their money was still in their accounts. “We have a technology problem regarding customers’ balance information,” Chase said in a statement. “It has nothing to do with cyber threats. It is an internal issue. We are very sorry to our customers for the inconvenience. This began earlier this evening. It is not confined to the West Coast.” Many took to Twitter to vent their anger, with innumerable people believing that their money had been stolen. Unsurprisingly, it seems that people who owed money to Chase did not see their debt reduced to zero. |

I had the opertunity this last September to go
for a hike in the Cypress hills of Saskachewan. It is a beautiful and remote
place. The rocks have many legends connected to them and a lot of controversy
whether they are man made or not. When you first see them they do look man made but on close inspection unfortunately they are not made by the hand of man but are a natural formation but still beautiful and mysterious. Situated in the rolling foothills of the Cypress Hills in southwestern Saskatchewan, there is nothing in my experience quite like them. They are a true prairie anomaly, definitely a place not to visit “in neutral” but with all your protection fully engaged. Am I suggesting this is a dangerous place? Using the precautionary principle due to the place’s unwillingness to reveal very much about itself, I am suggesting just that. Feel ready. Photographer Courtney Milne’s marvelous book Spirit of the Land featured a picture of the Mystery Rocks, which was how I heard of the place. My first visit was on a hot and windy August day in 1997 with second-generation landowner Brett Gaff welcoming me and taking me out to the site. It’s drivable from his farmyard, over the hills, across pastures and finally arriving above the place. Bret said two archeologists have visited the place, one from Mexico who camped here for a few days and left suddenly, and another person about whom Brett was vague. Both researchers agreed the place merits more in-depth study. The view from above shows unusual rock formations. The obvious question is "how did they get there"? Undoubtably, people have been attracted to, and inspired by, this unusual geological formation for hundreds or thousands of years. A few petroglyphs can be found if you look carefully. Academics and visitors have debated the origin of these rocks without resolution. Take a look for yourself and maybe you can solve the mystery. Tuesday March 19, 2013 My Aunt Was Killed Quickly by Smart Meter 3 Feet From Her Bed Since I was somewhat overcome with shock and grief the other day to learn of my aunt's death I did not have the push to go around back and deliberately look directly at where the electric meter is located on her old ramshackle house, but today I stopped by to leave an extra card for offer of assistance to my other elders who need help and I went around back to make the shocking discovery. The Smart Meter is definitely there on the very corner of my late Aunt's house where her bedroom is and is on the very back of the house where her bed is up against the wall and within a couple feet of the other outside wall. A couple feet over and through the wall to the meter from the edge of her bed is only around three feet or maybe a bit less. I'm devastated, but actually was not surprised considering the rapid death it inflicted on my aunt. As badly as I'm feeling about this right now, all I can tell you folks is; if you love and care about your family, your roommates, pets and household companions, stop what you're doing and go out and look at your electric panel and at least move the bed or desk in that nearby room to the opposite side of the room. It doesn't take an expert for you to know that an electronic device which emits much more powerful electromagnetic waves than a cell phone should not be blasting away at a nearby occupant. The body's immune system just cannot withstand a constant onslaught of powerful electromagnetic waves, especially an elderly person's body. I had no idea they hadn't checked to make sure they didn't have a Smart Meter. My aunt had suffered over the years with various illnesses and even beat a real bad case of pneumonia and other decimating flu bugs. She was a herbal medicine, holistic type of healer and would suggest remedies to our relatives. If she had come down with something she could have built herself back up with herbals, but when they brought her back from the hospital, they apparently placed her right back in that same corner bed with the Smart Meter on the other side of a non-metallic wall and it finished frying her to death, no doubt. As much as I've posted online about the dangers of Smart Meters I had asked my aunt where her electric meter panel was located at her house and to please ask her son to go out and see. I know I had asked her this several times over the phone and she would just say okay. Often other calls would come in from her relatives she loved and supported so much and she would say I've got a call from...so and so, you know and she'd have to go. Or she'd say that oil company's calling on some business, I'd better go. On other calls she'd suddenly say she was hurting and had to get off and lie down so I'd offer to go, politely say bye, and hang up. Somehow the times I would visit and bring her some money on stuff I would begin to feel bad near her bedroom and forget, saying something like, "I feel rather bad and a bit headachy so I'd better get going" and she'd understand. The frequency would cause me to get brainfog and I'd forget to go and check on the electric panel. This happened a number of times over the last year, especially, since they began installing Smart Meters in U.S. homes. These Smart Meters seem to have a direct, immediate and negative effect on human bodies. I know my aunt's in a better place now, but I'm convinced she could have enjoyed her family she loved and supported so much for more years in reasonably good health had they not installed a Smart Meter, and especially if they had not installed it practically on her pillow! I had no idea the meter was there or I would have gone over and demonstrated to her and her kids where the frequency was, but my meter is old and that's the problem with Americans right now who are so tattered and ragged... some of us just cannot afford to replace stuff and buy new stuff at times. People, listen up. The Smart Meters are killers and I'm not the first and not the only person to warn you of this. Believe me, just because you cannot see the microwaves doesn't mean they are not lethal. An
ongoing debate over the rights of homeowners to raise and keep their own
chickens may soon gain an audience in the Virgina Supreme Court. Attorneys at
the Rutherford Institute have filed a Petition for Appeal on behalf of
Virginia Beach resident Tracy Gugal-Okroy, who faces criminal charges related
to zoning ordinance violations for keeping chickens in her backyard. The
organization, a nationally active group which is dedicated to upholding
constitutional and property rights, is urging the court to protect local
residents against what it referred to in a statement posted online as
"onerous regulations that render otherwise law-abiding individuals as
criminals simply for attempting to grow or raise their own food in a
sustainable manner."
Gugal-Okroy's
friendly flock has grown to 22 since 2011, when she purchased her first dozen
baby chicks from a local farm. Each one is a family pet, she says, and her
family has named them all. In addition to the enjoyment of their beloved
companionship, Gugal-Okroy's family has come to reap additional benefits from
looking after the chickens -- namely, the continual production of fresh,
organic eggs, a steady supply of sustainable garden compost and fertilizer
the chicken's manure provides, and even natural pest elimination as the
chickens feed on mosquitoes and other bugs. The chickens are quiet and
well-protected from predators, keeping either to their coop or fenced-in
quarters. And all are there with blessings from Gugal-Okroy's neighbors, with
whom she had consulted beforehand.
But her
neighborly courtesy doesn't mean much to local officials in the City of
Virginia Beach. A January 2012 notice from the city inspector alerted
Gugal-Okroy that by keeping her chickens on her property, she may be in
violation of a local zoning ordinance referring to "agricultura rules, regulations and inspection requirements -- manyts, and exceptin indecipherable except to lawyers and bureaucrats -- now impede the ability of
iple letters of support from neighbors, the City's Zoning Board of
Appeals maintained that chickens were not allowed in the city. A later
subsequent to the circuit court also ended poorly for Gugal-Okroy, when in an
October 2012 ruling, the court upheld the zoning board's decision, finding
that Gugal-Okroy had, in fact, violated the zoning ordinance. By that time,
Gugal-Okroy had also received a summons charging her with violating the
city's ordinance, which included a possible fine of up to $1,000.
Attorneys
at the Rutherford Institute are now hoping they can help to shift momentum in
Gugal-Okroy's favor. In their petition to the Virginia Supreme Court, they
challenge the lower court's interpretation of the ordinance, arguing that
restrictions pertaining to keeping fowl or "poultry" within the
city do not apply to animals raised as companions and pets. Nonetheless, the
case does carry potentially serious implications for individuals who prefer
to raise their own wholesome food.
"Burdensome
rules, regulations and inspection requirements -- many of which are
indecipherable except to lawyers and bureaucrats -- now impede the ability of
health-conscious individuals and small farmers to raise and produce their own
food free of corporate contaminants," said John W. Whitehead, president
of The Rutherford Institute. "This case speaks to a growing problem in
America today, namely, the over-criminalization and over-regulation of a
process that once was at the heart of America's self-sufficiency - the ability
to cultivate one's own food, locally and sustainably."
