How Heavy Metals Are Promoting Aging......

How Heavy Metals Are Promoting Aging......

By April McCarthyPrevent Disease

It's been known for decades that some metals, including iron, accumulate in human tissues during aging and that toxic levels of iron have been linked to neurologic diseases, such as Parkinson's. The fact is that all metals are toxic and the aging and diseases processes run wild without special transport and handling mechanisms to keep them from harming us. This applies just as much as essential minerals, like iron, zinc and chromium, as it does to non-essential metals and metalloids, like cadmium and arsenical compounds.

Metals can directly and indirectly damage DNA and that means an increased risk of cancer (we call this genotoxicity). There are also possibly non-genotoxic pathways, due to irritation or immuno-toxicity.

It is a fact that metal implants in the body (as, for example, in bone pinning or plates) may be associated with adjacent cancers, caused by irritation of the tissues.

Metal toxicants entering the part of the brain that deals with stress and panic have been linked to disorders dealing with the central nervous system.

There are a growing number of Clinicians and Scientists who are convinced that excitotoxins and heavy metals play a critical role in the development of several neurological disorders, including migraines, seizures, infections, abnormal neural development, certain endocrine disorders, specific types of obesity, and especially the neurodegenerative diseases; a group of diseases which includes: ALS, Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, Huntington's disease, and olivopontocerebellar degeneration.

The presence of toxic metals in our systems is highly significant for they are capable of causing serious health problems through interfering with normal biological functioning. Although they can be found in high concentrations in the body, a number of these heavy metals (aluminum, beryllium, cadmium, lead and mercury) have no known biological function. Others (arsenic, copper, iron and nickel) are thought to be essential at low concentrations, but are toxic at high levels. Generally speaking, heavy metals disrupt metabolic function in two basic ways:

First, they accumulate and thereby disrupt function in vital organs and glands such as the heart, brain, kidneys, bone, liver, etc.

Second, they displace vital nutritional minerals from where they should be in the body to provide biological function. For example, enzymes are catalysts for virtually every biochemical reaction in all life-sustaining processes of metabolism. But instead of calcium being present in an enzyme reaction, lead or cadmium may be there in its place. Toxic metals can't fulfill the same role as the nutritional minerals, thus their presence becomes critically disruptive to enzyme activity.

Iron Accumulation Associated With Aging

Common belief has held that iron accumulation happens as a result of the aging process. But research in the nematode C. elegans in the Lithgow lab at the Buck Institute shows that iron accumulation itself may also be a significant contributor to the aging process, causing dysfunction and malfolding of proteins already implicated in the aging process. The research is online in Aging.

Iron accumulation can be cause by drinking water, iron cookware, iron pipes, welding,. foods: blackstrap molasses, bone meal, bran, chives, clams, heart, kidney, leafy vegetables, legumes, liver, meat, molasses, nuts, organ meats, oysters, parsley, red wine, refined foods, shellfish, soybeans, wheat germ and whole grains.

Some of the effects include amenorrhea, anger, rheumatoid arthritis, birth defects, bleeding gums, cancer, constipation, diabetes, dizziness, emotional problems, fatigue, headache, heart damage, heart failure, hepatitis, high blood pressure, hostility, hyperactivity, infections, insomnia, irritability, joint pain, liver disease, loss of weight, mental problems, metallic taste in mouth, myasthenia gravis, nausea, pancreas damage, Parkinson's disease, premature aging, schizophrenia and scurvy.

Similar to what happens in humans and other mammals, researchers found that levels of calcium, copper, iron and manganese increased as the worms aged. But iron accumulated much more than the others, said Buck faculty Gordon Lithgow, PhD, senior scientist on the project. "We were drawn to iron because there is all this literature that links excess iron to Alzheimer's and Parkinson's."

Researchers began manipulating the nematode's diet. "We fed iron to four day-old worms, and within a couple of days they looked like 15 day-old worms," said Lithgow. "Excess iron accelerated the aging process." Lithgow says excess iron is known to generate oxidative stress and researchers expected to see changes in the worm based on that toxicity. "Instead, what we saw looked much more like normal aging," said Lithgow. "The iron was causing dysfunction and aggregation in proteins that have already been associated with the aging process. Now we're wondering if excess iron also drives aging. "

Researchers, led by graduate student Ida Klang, also treated normal nematodes with the FDA-approved metal chelator CaEDTA “ a drug that's used in humans at risk for lead poisoning. The drug slowed age-related accumulation of iron and extended the healthspan and lifespan of the nematodes. Klang also gave the drug to worms genetically bred to develop specific protein aggregations implicated in human disease. The chelator was also protective in those animals.

Lithgow says the work has implications for the aging research field. "Maintaining the proper balance of metals is key to good health throughout the lifespan, and it's pretty obvious that this delicate balance can go off-kilter with age," he said. "This is a phenomena that has not been extensively studied by aging researchers and it's an area that has potential for positive exploitation."

Terminal stage IV lung cancer patient miraculously cured by cannabis oil......

Terminal stage IV lung cancer patient miraculously cured by cannabis oil......

by Paul FassaNaturalNews

An Australian woman in her mid-50s recently posted a YouTube video explaining how she has eliminated her stage IV lung cancer with cannabis after being given a death sentence of six months with no treatment. Her oncologist suggested chemo as an option, but it wouldn't cure her cancer. It would only prolong her life a few months with chemo side effects.

Despondent, she and her husband prayed for a solution to her dilemma. She was shocked because she never smoked tobacco her whole life, and now she was scheduled to die with lung cancer in a few months. Their daughter suggested that they go on the internet and look into information on cannabis for cancer.

Keep in mind, this is Australia folks, a nation/continent without any medical cannabis allowance, but lots of government-supported mainstream medicine. The lady, whose surroundings suggest a comfortable middle-class existence, didn't reveal her name even on the YouTube video. Most of the cannabis cure links were from the USA.

Naturally, she had to locate underground sources of cannabis oil to proceed. In the meantime, she did accept oral chemo Tarceva tablets from her oncologist, and she took them as prescribed. She was told the Tarceva could slow the cancer progression down, but it wouldn't get rid of it or force a remission.
How she dealt with the cannabis

It's especially brave of this woman to joyfully make
her presentation on YouTube and encourage feedback.

To protect her anonymity, she refers to everyone by title (husband, oncologist, etc), but she displays before and after PET scans in the video to prove that cannabis did indeed remove all traces of lung cancer within three months.

She did mention in the text below her YouTube video presentation that she got a lot of help from a Facebook Group Site called "Cannabis Oil Success Stories." And she received dietary tips, including abstaining from sugar with encouragement from Chris Wark of the Chris Beat Cancer website.

Her first attempts with cannabis oil were too much for her. The THC psychotropic effect was too much for her even with low doses. So she realized there was no way she could get up to the required 1 milliliter (ml) of cannabis oil daily to cure her cancer.

She and her husband researched further and discovered what they called their "back door method" of delivering cannabis oil. They mixed a half ml of cannabis oil with a half ml of coconut oil and placed it into a syringe.

The syringe was inserted anally to insert this combination twice daily, giving her the benefits of 1 ml of cannabis daily without her unwelcome side effects of a marijuana high.

Interestingly, Chinese medicine connects the bowels to the lungs energetically. It's a pathway in that system. And ozone therapy is commonly injected anally to treat lung cancer patients.

The Aussie lady told her oncologist about using cannabis oil, and she said she couldn't endorse it, because it's illegal. After the last visit to confirm her absence of lung cancer, the oncologist told her that she was in a good space, but it wouldn't last.

Perhaps that was the oncologist's projection based on relapses from "conventional" therapies. Her cannabis treatment started in May 20, 2014, and her cancer was gone by Sept. 3, 2014. Within three months, her back door cannabis oil treatment cured her stage IV lung cancer!

Man Invokes 5th Amendment, Cops Tell Him to 'Throw all the Legal Mumbo...

Jan. 24, 2014

“If you have nothing to hide…let’s throw all the legal mumbo jumbo out the window sir. Let’s play on big boy terms. Let’s not play the lawyer game and ‘my rights are violated’ game or none of that bullcrap today.”

Atlanta, GA —  A video submitted to the Free Thought Project illustrates the level of ignorance and bullying applied by some law enforcement officers.
Dilshod Tulyoganov, was accused by a Georgia State Trooper of not coming to a complete stop before making a turn. As the driver of the vehicle, Tulyoganov is required by law to produce identification. When asked for his ID Tulyoganov complies and hands the officer his Georgia driver’s license.
From this point on is where the stop begins to turn ugly.
“I flexed my rights and he ignored it,” Dilshod told the Free Thought Project. “Because I didn’t kiss his boots he humiliated me in front of people.”
Because of the SCOTUS ruling in Salinas v. Texas, you are now expected to know that you have a right against self-incrimination, and unless you specifically and clearly invoke this right, anything you say or do not say, including your mannerisms at the time you stop talking, can be used against you. You actually have to say, “I do not answer questions.”
Don’t concern yourself with what kind of interrogation you’re in. Don’t worry about whether Salinas applies in your particular situation. Just invoke your 5th Amendment right immediately, verbally, and clearly.
When Trooper Johnston asks if his address on the license is correct, Tulyoganov specifically invokes his 5th Amendment right and replies by stating, “I’d rather not answer.”
He states this several times before Johnston tells him that “you don’t have a choice [but] to answer.” Apparently trooper Johnston feels that the right to remain silent does not apply in this instance. However, Tulyoganov stands his ground and Johnston eventually backs down.
Johnston then proceeds to tell Tulyoganov that he stopped him for not coming to a complete stop when he came off of the interstate and then goes back to his unit to write the ticket.
Several minutes pass before Johnston returns to the vehicle and demands that Tulyoganov get out of his car; approximately 5:20 in the video. Tulyoganov tells Johnston that he’d rather stay in the car to which Johnston replies, “you don’t have a choice,” and pulls open the door.
Let’s recap, Tulyoganov was pulled over for a minor traffic offense and was going to be issued a citation for a rolling stop. There was no need for Tulyoganov to exit his vehicle in order to receive this citation. So, whether or not the order by Johnston for Tulyoganov to exit his vehicle was lawful is up for question....

CHINA - GOOD LESSON FOR YOU STRUCTURAL ENGINEERS!!!

Good lesson for you structural engineers!

MADE IN CHINA BY CHINESE!

YES!  IT'S AN ENTIRE 13-STORY BUILDING IN CHINA LYING ON THE GROUND!!

(1)  An underground garage was being dug on the south side of the building to a depth of 4.6 meters (15 ft).

(2)  The excavated dirt was being piled up on the north side of the building to a height of 10 meters (32 ft).

(3)  They dug right up to the base of the building. Then the rains came.

(4)  The building experienced uneven lateral pressure from north to south.

(5)  This resulted in a lateral pressure of 3,000 tons, which was greater than what the un-reinforced pilings could tolerate.  Thus, the building toppled completely over in a southerly direction.

*First, the apartment building was constructed.*

Then the plan called  for an underground garage to be dug out. The excavated soil was piled up on the other side of the  building.

*Heavy rains resulted in water seeping into the ground.*

The building began to tilt.  Then it began to shift, and the "hollow" concrete pilings were snapped due to the uneven lateral pressures.

And thus was born the eighth wonder of the world!!!

If these buildings were closer together, it would have resulted in a domino effect.

Notice that there's NO rebar in the pilings! Just some wire mesh.

They built 13 stories on grade, with no basement, and tied it all down to hollow pilings with no rebar!!!!!!

Russia Unleashes the “Ultimate Black Swan” – China Follows

Details are beginning to emerge concerning a secret attack on the U.S. economy being carried out by both the Chinese and Russian governments.
To this point, the media has kept the American people in the dark about everything.
In a shocking video, the CIA’s Financial Threat and Asymmetric Warfare Advisor has revealed we were able to fend off the first wave of this dangerous assault. But it was a close call.
However, he and many of the highest-ranking members of the U.S. Intelligence Community are now stepping forward because they fear this could quickly escalate into something terrifying.
All 16 intelligence agencies have officially released a single report that warns this situation has grown so dangerous, we could suffer “a worldwide economic collapse” that would cast us into “an extended period of global anarchy.”

Another Bankster Does Himself... Thats 3 So Far For 2015....

Following the deaths of 36 bankers last year, 2015 has got off to an inauspicious start with the reported suicide of Chris Van Eeghen – the 4th ABN Amro banker suicide in the last few years. As Quotenet reports, the death of Van Eghen – the head of ABN’s corporate finance and capital markets -“startled” friends and colleagues as the 42-year-old “had a great reputation” at work, came from an “illustrious family,” and enjoyed national fame briefly as the boyfriend of a famous actress/model. As one colleague noted, “he was always cheerful, good mood, and apparently he had everything your heart desired. He never sat in the pit, never was down, so I was extremely surprised. I can not understand.”
As Niburu details, friends and colleagues were startled by the news that Chris van Eeghen had committed suicide.
He worked in Amsterdam for ABN / AMRO in the position of “head of syndicate and corporate finance markets.”
Again, there is again a familiar pattern, namely that there is no indication that Van Eeghen had plans to take his life.
Ostensibly a successful banker, coming from what was described as an illustrious family. Chris was also a familiar sight in Amsterdam’s nightlife scene and enjoyed national fame as possible new boyfriend of Tatjana Simic (a famous Croatian-Dutch model, singer, actress).
“I have never expected. It was an incredibly nice cute guy, “said a neighbor from Amsterdam. In banking circles he had a good reputation.
Most believe that the suicide is not related to his work at the bank,
but a former colleague had noticed that on his Facebook recently changed
its job title to “former.”
Chris leaves behind a son – who had recently been cleared of cancer.

The Unknown Genius of Nikola Tesla - Documentary

Blast from the past…

Mainstream globalist propaganda reveals East/West conflict is a farce (Update 1)For anyone who might still believe that the US/NATO versus Russia/BRICS geopolitical confrontation is real…
…here is a little blast from the past…

ecocover
…It is the cover from the January 9, 1988 issue of The Economist magazine. Note the phoenix rising from the ashes of burning national currencies, including the dollar.
The cover relates to an article on pages 9-10 titled
Get ready for the phoenix, which foretold the financial drama we are now watching unfold in real time. Upon stumbling across them, I found the cover art and the article so striking that I thought they might be an online forgery, so I verified their authenticity with a research librarian at the Newspaper and Current Periodical Room of the Library of Congress. Both the cover and the article are quite real. Here are some excerpts (not necessarily in the order in which they appear in the article)…
>>> THIRTY years from now, Americans, Japanese, Europeans, and people in many other rich countries, and some relatively poor ones will probably be paying for their shopping with the same currency. Prices will be quoted not in dollars, yen or D-marks but in, let’s say, the phoenix. The phoenix will be favoured by companies and shoppers because it will be more convenient than today’s national currencies, which by then will seem a quaint cause of much disruption to economic life in the last twentieth century…
…The phoenix would probably start as a cocktail of national currencies, just as the Special Drawing Right is today. In time, though, its value against national currencies would cease to matter, because people would choose it for its convenience and the stability of its purchasing power…
…The phoenix zone would impose tight constraints on national governments. There would be no such thing, for instance, as a national monetary policy. The world phoenix supply would be fixed by a new central bank, descended perhaps from the IMF…
…Governments are far from ready to subordinate their domestic objectives to the goal of international stability. Several more big exchange-rate upsets, a few more stockmarket crashes and probably a slump or two will be needed before politicians are willing to face squarely up to that choice…
…Pencil in the phoenix for around 2018, and welcome it when it comes. <<<
It’s all there: the SDR “cocktail” (basket) of currencies, the IMF’s central role, and the need to create “exchange rate upsets, stockmarket crashes, and economic slumps” to make the public accept it. Seeing such an accurate forecast/blueprint, one wonders who was behind its publishing. So if we look into
The Economist magazine, we find it is headquartered just a few blocks from the City of London and is owned by The Economist Group, which itself is owned by some rather interesting characters…
“The Economist Group is 50% owned by Pearson PLC via The Financial Times Limited. The bulk of the remaining shares are held by individual shareholders including the Cadbury, Rothschild, Schroder, Agnelli and other family interests as well as a number of staff and former staff shareholders.”

THE "BENSON FORD' - ULTIMATE IN A WATERFRONT HOME!

THE "BENSON FORD' - ULTIMATE IN A WATERFRONT HOME!

The "Benson Ford" originally transported coal for the Ford Motor Company. The ship was decommissioned in 1981 after nearly 50 years of service.

After being decommissioned, it was left to rust for four years before the front part of the ship was removed and perched on top of the 18-foot cliff above Lake Erie to serve as a vacation home.

Videographer Nick James, who conducts tours of the home, said, 'The most incredible part is standing at the helm with the way the boat hangs over the cliff. It actually feels like you are out on the open water.'
The ship still contains the beautiful wood-paneled state rooms, dining room and lounge designed by Henry Ford.

The boat was used by Henry Ford himself to travel across the Great Lakes. Thomas Edison was a frequent guest on this beautiful ship.
The 90-year-old cargo ship is beautiful, as she sits there looking out over her former waterways.

Don't look down - visitors may need a head for heights if they take a tour out onto the bow of the boat and see the water way down below.

This ship-home has maintained the historic and beautiful interior, which has been updated with modern amenities.

The present four deck ship house has an area of 7,000 SF and includes the present walnut-paneled staterooms, a dining room with galley, and passenger lounge designed by Henry Ford for his own personal use, while on board.

The ship-house was originally owned by Frank J. Sullivan, but after trying and failing to turn it into a hotel in 1992, Sullivan eventually auctioned the building to father and son Jerry and Bryan Kaspar who still enjoy relaxing there while taking time off from work.  It has now been modernized with a garage, a game room, a bar, a state-of-the-art kitchen, and four bathrooms.

'I love the deck on the fourth floor. It's a great place to enjoy a cocktail overlooking the lake and the nearby cliffs, and to watch the sunsets is amazing from there.'

Bryan Kaspar said: "Everyone who sees our home from the outside is intrigued to look inside.  And, I think everyone who sees this beauty is amazed at the gorgeous woodwork throughout our beautiful ship-home."

This impressive getaway is large, as it includes five bedrooms, four bathrooms, a captain's office and living room with panoramic views out across Lake Erie.

I love the history that remains all around the Benson Ford.

In the parlor, you can just imagine Thomas Edison and Henry Ford sitting there puffing on their cigars.'  When you're there, it feels as though you are stepping back in time, and that those two famed gentlemen could appear at any moment.'

An incredible beauty of a long-ago ship still available for water lovers to see.

House Votes to Undo 4 Years of Obama’s Immigration Policies...

The GOP-led House voted today to undo major portions of President Obama’s immigration policy, including his recent executive actions and an earlier program that allowed immigrants who entered the country illegally as children—a group known as Dreamers—to stay.
In voting 236-191 to pass a bill funding the Department of Homeland Security through the end of September, the House approved five amendments that revoke four years of Obama’s immigration policies, such as his November directive to defer deportation for up to 5 million immigrants living in the country illegally and granting them work permits.
But the most contentious amendment, a measure that would end a 2012 program called Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA, was barely approved 218-209, with 26 Republicans voting no, and zero Democratic votes.
No votes on the DACA amendment include, among others: Reps. Mario Diaz-Balart and Ileana Ros-Lehtinen of Florida; Jeff Denham and David Valadao of California; and Mike Coffman of Colorado; New York Reps. Peter T. King and Richard Hanna; and Charlie Dent of Pennsylvania. (See the full roll call vote.)

Though GOP leaders say the results of the vote show the party is united against Obama’s immigration policies, some moderate Republicans — by voting against the measure ending DACA — signaled they think the aggressive actions have gone too far.
“We do not take this action lightly, but simply there is no alternative,” House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, said on the floor Wednesday. “This executive overreach is an affront to the rule of law and to the Constitution itself.”
>>>House GOP Agrees to Expansive Plan Blocking Obama’s Immigration Actions
The White House has said Obama will not sign any bill that blocks his executive actions on immigration. There is also doubt that the House plan could gain the 60 votes in the Senate needed to break a Democratic filibuster.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has not said when his chamber will take up a vote on the House plan.
>>>Mike Lee: ‘Some’ Senate Democrats Would Support Defund of Obama’s Immigration Action
The White House quickly pounced on the House’s vote.
Josh Earnest, the White House press secretary, called the House plan “mean-spirited.”
“It’s essentially a vote for amnesty,” said Earnest, flipping around a common accusation made by critics of Obama’s executive actions.
“It is essentially a vote for amnesty,” says @PressSec of the House plan.
Immigration advocates also criticized the House’s actions to end legal protections for millions of illegal immigrants.
Ali Noorani, the executive director of the National Immigration Forum, tweeted that Congress should pass its own “positive” bills to benefit the immigration system.

How Much is Your State Paying for a Gallon of Gas? This Cool Map Will Show You.

What is the average price of gas in your state?

Researchers at Debt.com have put together a map to show you.

Debt.com’s interactive map allows users to see their state’s average gas price-simply by hovering their cursor over the state.

Clicking a state will show you its average price for the last 10 years.
Debt.com Gas Prices Over Time
While the national average for a gallon of gas is about $2.18, some states fare better or worse than others.  For example, drivers in Hawaii “consistently pay the most for gas.” They are currently paying an average of $3.31.

In addition to Hawaii, drivers in Alaska, California and the New England region pay among the highest average gas prices in the nation.

There is no one state that regularly pays the lowest price, but the researchers called Oklahoma, Utah and Missouri drivers “among the luckiest.”

Debt.com called the numbers an “average of averages,” determined using the average gas prices according to sources like GasBuddy, AAA and the U.S. Energy Information Administration

They cited two other maps that help illustrate some the reasons behind your state’s price-the U.S. Energy Information Administration’s map of oil pipelines and refineries, and the American Petroleum Institute’s map depicting tax rates for gas.

The Daily Signal recently reported on falling gas prices, which were less than $50 a barrel last week.
