Hospitals Are Blatantly Ripping Us Off

Hospitals Are Blatantly Ripping Us Off

Well, here is a SURPRISE! You can get those hospital bills and doctor bills to just go away with a simple letter (or for the really ambitious pests, a series of letters). My spousal unit had to have a hysterectomy a few years ago. And later, emergency appendectomy. Doctors and hospitals started sending us bills. We didn't have the doh to pay. Rocks on a while, and they threaten us with sending them to "collections".
"Do what you must, we'll see how it goes."
After the collections agency started pestering us, we sent the first letter. (It must go to the collection agency!)
Never heard from them again. That was a $60,000 bill!!! Never heard from them again.
Since then we use the same letter (or series for the ambitious ones) and usually after the first letter, they forget about you. Occasionally they will get bold and attempt to recontract the second time, but the second letter is more serious and if it makes it to the third letter (It NEVER HAS) you automatically have a judgement against them for harrassment and deceptive actions. POWERFUL!
I will leave you with this thought:
"All law is commerce. All commerce is Contracts. No CONTRACT NO LAW."

I want to read that letter, or series. I've known this for a while, but it would be nice to have a template. And, by the way, when they call you, never claim the debt. Always refer to it as their alleged debt, and indeed remind them that you have no contract, and tell them they're fired. Doesn't hurt to tell them you're recording the call, too. Oh, they hate that. Get names, too.
