It is amazing that "the authorities"
haven't labeled this one a fake just like they did the 14th century
Kensington Rune Stone found in Minnesota at the end of the 1900s. For
years the latter was labeled a "clever forgery" of the finder and it
wasn't until a century later that it was confirmed genuine by chemical
analyses of the patina in the cracks of the inscription and the
antiquity of the scrip. Or maybe the Smithsonian will conveniently lose
this artifact as they have hundreds(or thousands) of others over the
years and the discovery will be relegated
to the memory hole. TL

>Memphis| A group of volunteers cleaning up the
shores of the Mississippi river near the biggest city in Tennessee, have
stumbled upon the remains of an ancient boat encrusted in mud. A team
of archeologists from the University of Memphis that was rapidly called
to the site, confirmed that the ship is most certainly a Viking knarr,
suggesting the Norse would have pushed their exploration of America a
lot further than historians previously thought.
