This being the political season, will use a simple example showing what sounds like logic but is not because it either is based upon incomplete facts, incorrect facts, or using fraudulent logic pretending it is sound logic based upon sound, complete facts relating to the subject matter. This technically is called "sophism" meaning fool's gold psuedo-logic many politicians and even some Bible scholars have used at times with the people. And half the truth is often a lie! "This room is full of American men. All these men are Republicans. Therefore all Americans are Republicans." Sounds convincing and sounds like real logic, but it is con game logic on the naive and gullible. I stand for the scientific method based upon sound facts and sound logic to show what the Bible really says in key areas. We call this the scientific method based upon common sense sound logic and true, complete facts relevent to the subject matter at hand. God is the author of truth and also the true science that we study. God teaches us how to think soundly if we will let God guide our minds and souls when we have dedicated ourselves to integrity to the truth.
The Old Testament of the Bible taught a profound scientific truth of astronomy not known by scientific minds until the time around Galileo who taught the earth was not the center of the universe but spun around the Sun. Job 26:5: "He stretches out the north over the empty place and hangeth the earth upon nothing." Job says outer space is empty and the earth is hanging in this empty outer space with nothing to be seen supporting the earth in space in this empty space. Galileo was put under house arrest for the rest of his life for stating his scientific viewpoint which went contrary to what some well-intentioned but misinformed Bible scholars thought the Bible had said and taught. The Bible scholars were on safe ground when they repeated what first Christianity under the Apostles had taught and as transmitted by tradition from the first early Christ Fathers of Christianity who had been taught by the Apostles of Jesus Christ. But when they ventured into scientific issues raised by later science, they stumbled because they did not take the time to seriously study the involved science and see if it taught contrary to what the Bible taught or not. I have never found what the Bible really teaches and what true science truly teaches ever to teach the contrary of each other, only scholar errors by those rushing into a field of study without sufficiently studying it to get their facts and logic straight!
Muhammad had taught the earth was flat and Christian scholars for much of the Middle Ages might have thought that this founder of Islam was right in this taught point of religion, but Jesus Christ taught in the New Testament that the earth was round, not flat! Let me illustrate! In Luke 17, Jesus prophesies that in the last days He will come across the sky like lightning crossing the sky to cover one end of the earth to the other end. But catch on to what Jesus said here. He refers to remembering Lot's wife that it rained fire and brimstone just after she left Sodom. She was offered escape from the pending Judgment of God for the wickedness of the society being left behind by her, her husband Lot and daughters. But she looks back in longing for the wicked society she was offered by God safe escape from and so she is turned into a pillar of salt for loving evil more than God. This example tells you that Jesus is talking about the last days of mankind just prior to the Judgment of God for mankind having turned so wicked in heart in preference to God and the ways of God for mankind to live by. As Jesus shoots across the sky at the speed of lightning, below Jesus is seen two men in one bed meaning it is nighttime there at this point of earth. One is taken and one is left. As Jesus flies along at the speed of lightning or implied even speed of light (remember they didn't know speed of light 2,000 years ago!), Jesus can see two women grinding at the mill. One is taken and one is left. Then two men are seen in the field. One is taken and one is left. The women grinding and the men working in the field identify this as daytime with light. The situation Jesus described could not exist except the earth was round as required for this prophecy of Jesus to work in reality. A flat earth would not make this prophecy work! So Jesus clearly knew the earth was round, but Bible scholars were not scientific enough to recognize this fact of a round earth taught by example of Jesus to mankind, so thought the earth was flat when Columbus prepared to sail to the New World in 1492.
The Bible has the right answers, but Bible scholars of any age have to learn the facts whether historical, scientific, etc. so they understand the Bible statements correctly in reference to the time or conditions which explain correctly what the Bible is saying here.
2 Thessalonians 2:7 refers to He who now restrains (letteth, hinders) will restrain the would-be Antichrist until He be taken out of the way. Then the Antichrist can take over the earth. I have great respect for Grant Jeffrey as a very capable Bible scholar in so many ways, but that did not guarantee that he could never make a mistake as he did when saying this referred to the Holy Ghost being removed from society on earth. Then the Antichrist can appear. Early Christian writings from around 200 A.D. on explained that the Apostle Paul had orally explained this prophecy to the churches as it would have triggered off Roman State persecution of the Christian churches if the Roman State really understood that this prophecy of the Apostle Paul was predicting once the final authority of the Roman Empire was removed from this earth, then the Antichrist would arise from former lands which had belonged to the Roman Empire. Jack Van Impe made the same mistake of logic on this prophecy. He said it referred to the Holy Ghost whereas the Apostle Paul had orally explained to the first churches what this prophecy really said. As it was considered high treason to predict the later fall of the Roman Empire, the Christians could not put into print the explanation given them by the Apostle Paul until it began popping up in the Christian writings what they had been orally taught from the time of Paul on.
You have only two possible explanations how this prophecy is fulfilled. If the Roman Catholic Church still possesses any authority from the Roman Empire, it could be even the fall of the Roman Catholic Church would bring the Antichrist to power. Or position B is there is still intact hidden somewhere the true Roman Imperial authority of the Roman Empire. I descend from the Roman Imperial Line of the Roman Emperor Constantine the Great who legalized Christianity in the Roman Empire three centuries after Christ. By the ancient will of this family line of 1299 A.D., I am the first descendant who had the legal claims restored to this ancient Roman Imperial Line. Now as a young man I had already swore to God that these claims would automatically go to Jesus Christ by the time I left this earth if not publicly turned over to Jesus Christ before any time of understood death. I evaluated this move guaranteed that Jesus automatically had claim to all claims to the Roman Empire by the laws of man as well as God and would insure that no one on earth could claim that Jesus was not the lawful Lord of Lords and King of Kings over mankind on earth. Strange maneuvering of God in all this. What would constitute the lawful royal line of Ireland would also have the legal claims to the junior branch of the royal line of Judah of David of Israel. My mother descended from the Irish line claiming they were the rightful royal line of Ireland and had good grounds for claiming this. I also turned over all claims to this line to Jesus so Jesus is undisputed the head of the senior and junior branch of the royal line of Judah of King David of Israel. By making the right moves, I was inviting Jesus to return to earth as soon as possible. Before some think this was such a foolish idea, I had, in effect, support from St. Padre Pio of San Foggia, Italy and other holy people to do this whenever I was ready! Padre Pio sent me a letter from Italy while I was a military cadet at a military academy to later launch the holy cross-bearers of Jesus Christ movement as Jesus twice told all His followers to take up their crosses and follow Him which meant be serious Christians for Jesus and not tongue-in-cheek hypocrite Christians for Jesus. When no church has backed me so far when I am the only Christian leader in America now standing for the restoration of prayer and the Bible to the public schools of America, I think that tells the sad stage of spirituality in the Christian churches of America today. Jesus said for His followers to raise their children in the ways and knowledge of the Lord which Christian families are no longer doing in America today. When interviewing many young in America today, they have no idea what the Bible teaches and think only pronouncing the name of Jesus as their admitted Savior is all they need to do to be good Christians in America today. Christians are supposed to be according to the New Testament "a peculiar people zealous of good works."
The Bible is a fascinating book for me as it is filled with many mysteries, many intriguing prophecies how they will be fulfilled, and is the best mental exercise to make the mind sharp of any book available to mankind today. You start researching and finding out the answers to many questions and issues of the Bible and this will make your mind sharp as a razor blade. That is why the Founding Fathers were so smart in what they did and stated as national leaders. They were trained on the Bible as their main textbook in all the schools of America back in the days of The Thirteen Colonies around 1776. As Benjamin Franklin told the people of France when Ambassador to them that the people of the Thirteen Colonies were 99% Christian and you had to search far and wide to find an infidel anywhere in the Thirteen Colonies.
Doesn't this exercise your mind? Why was Jesus asked whether this man was born blind for his sins or else the sins of his parents? Jesus did not answer the hidden religious teaching behind this question and treated it with silence and no comment. Jesus did say that this man was born blind that God might be glorified by his healing and with that Jesus healed him of his blindness he had had since being born. The hidden reason for the question was based on the idea of reincarnation. The man could not be born blind for his sins unless he had lived before. Jesus made no comment on the teaching hidden behind this trick question. India heavily believed in reincarnation and there were those who also believed in it in the Middle East, but Jesus saw no reason to make any comment on the implied religious teaching but simply ignored it in what He replied back.
When you research questions and issues in the Bible, you keep getting smarter and smarter and more educated and more educated. So I am not afraid to face and research the so-called controversial issues in the Bible. With my scientific method to everything, I am curious as to what answer I will finally find in the Bible for the question asked or issue raised. I was born scientific by nature. I remained a child atheist until the age of 10 1/2 years old since no church showed me any scientific reason why I should believe in God. One night I challenged myself to scientifically prove or disprove the existence of God by scientific logic. To my own surprise, I announced to my mother the next morning that I now believed in God. And because of my scientific nature, I have over the years collected many thousands of proofs of fulfilled prophecies of the Bible, historical discoveries that show that the Bible was correct in what it taught about history, thousands of scientific proofs of stunning Miracles of God for the last 2,000 years of Christianity, scientific proofs of the colossal genius of God in the creation of life and the univese we see before our eyes, and I could go on. Let me also comment that the economics taught by Jesus Christ is the most brilliant ever stated in human history and far smarter than what any economist ever taught on their own. Jesus Economics always skyrockets any economy on earth when tried and 4 times when used skyrocketed people to wild prosperity in history such as being the first people to ever pay off their real estate taxes even two and three years ahead of time having become so prosperous in the 20th Century until outlawed by our corrupt bankers who did not like everyone becoming rich in modern society. I visited the area where this had occurred and local people there told me how the French Army came in and confiscated all the evidence on what had happened there with their economy. I guess the Rothschilds ordered this to hide the evidence how powerfully Jesus Money as taught by Jesus fast booms any economy once used! As an economist trained by six of the most brilliant economists of America and Europe, I was curious as to whether the Bible taught anything on birth control as relates to national economics. One side of the coin was the obvious Bible teaching that be fruitful and multiply when marrying and having families. Gradual expanding population is good for a well run economy and continually expands the national market which generates more and more national wealth for the nation. But wild population growth is not good for building up the economy and can potentially lead it to bankruptcy or else civil war as has happened when an African nation would have its population explode when the average woman had 9 children by marriage in that nation. I did find an old Jewish reference book on all the birth control tactics used in ancient Israel of 2,000 years ago and before. They were more sophisticated on this than modern man would suspect. But their policy was to have offspring but be financially responsible for what offspring they had. They wanted to raise their children in a degree of prosperity, not extreme poverty. I never found any reference where Jesus condemned them for having children but spaced so they could be financially supported as they grew up. I guess this was a Jewish concept of responsible parenthood back 2,000 years ago and earlier. When the Roman Catholic Church allows birth control by "natural rhythm" means they have already accepted that birth control can be allowed in Christianity. The only question is what method or system is allowed or authorized to achieve birth control in a marriage to achieve economic results. Excuse me simple logic, but since all valid successors to the Apostles are authorized to hold or forgive sins in the Name of Jesus Christ, cannot this authority be used to authorize a wider range of birth control when used not to prevent offspring but to just have them as economics permits them to? Of course, abortion which early Christianity condemned as taught by the Bible to be murder of the unborn is out of the range of suggested birth control methods.
The only method I noticed mentioned in the Bible of birth control was in Genesis 38:9 where the son of Judah was killed by the Lord for displeasing Him by mockery of the commandment of God involved. God had commanded that the brother of another brother marry his widow wife to have children in the name of the dead brother instead of these offspring being legally considered his own offspring. The live brother offended to raise offspring for his brother instead of himself practiced the ancient Middle East method of spilling his seed upon the ground as a method of birth control so he would not be able to father any children by his brother's wife. This was to defeat the reason for marriage set up by God which was to have children to continue the human race on earth. Outside of that, I know of no other example of birth control I found reference to in the Bible.
George M. Lamsa born in the Middle East, spoke the same Aramaic dialect as Jesus Christ and His disciples did 2,000 years ago. He was a Christian raised in the same cultural sayings and teachings as Jesus was in Palestine. The idioms in Aramaic mean the same today as when Jesus spoke them 2,000 years ago. He wrote the Book "Idioms In The Bible Explained And A Key To The Original Gospels." I don't think the Bible loses it real message regardless if translated totally correct or else closely to the original word used. For example, the word "rope" in Aramaic looks like "camel" instead if you drop one tiny mark over the word. So when the King James Bible translates as follows that easierr for a camel to enter through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter heaven, in correct translation it would say that easier for a rope to enter through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into heaven. Either translation still gets you to the true message of Jesus that it is very tough for a rich man to enter into heaven when he loves money far more than God in his life, but he can still enter into heaven if he changes priority and makes the God of the Bible his first love and his God instead of money in his life as his god controlling his life.
Examples of Aramaic idioms and what they mean follows:
Treasure stored up in heaven (Matt. 6:20 means your good deeds recorded in heaven.
Judge not in Matt. 7:1 means do not criticize. In ordinary life people often do not criticize with fair examination of facts nor with just conclusions as to the truth, and hurt themselves with God when engaging in smearing of innocent parties, etc. Better to keep their mouths shut than engage in acts God considers unjust and lowers their rewards with God. But the Church so long as honest and fair in examination has full moral right to judge in issues of justice, truth, punishment or else forgiveness for sinners, etc.
Christians are supposed to be the salt of the earth (Matt. 5:13) meaning the conscience of this world, the light of this world, the good example to honor the image of Jesus on earth and win others to Christ.
Raca which no Bible states what it means as used in Matt. 5:22 means to spit.
Hell fire in Matt. 5:22 means mental suffering called such as depression, torment, etc.
Baptism of fire to go along with water baptism means in Matt. 3:11 a thorough cleaning of what is wrong in your spirit.
By their fruits you shall know them as used in Matt. 7:16 means by their works whether good or evil you shall know if they are good or else evil in character.
The way of the Gentiles means the pagan practices of the Gentiles (Matt. 10:5).
Upon this stone means upon this truth of God (Matt. 16:18.
The faith that moves mountains in Matt. 21:21 means overcoming by faith odds which look impossible to overcome by natural logic.
A child of hell means a corrupt person in life (Matt. 23:15).
Repent ye means do not do it again, do not do this sin again! (Mark 1:15.
Born again means that you become like a child, to start afresh in life, to now have the faith of a child instead of a cynical unable to believe adult. (John 3:3).
The bright and morning star which Jesus used also as His name in the end of Revelation (Matt. 22:16).
In St. John 19:27 Jesus from the cross declared to the Apostle John who wrote the Book of Revelation to adopt Mary the Mother of Jesus as also his mother. And in Verse 26, Jesus tells her to accept John as her son. By this, Jesus arranges for the Apostle John to take the Virgin Mary as his mother so he will take care of her now that Jesus will not be available to take care of her as Jewish law and culture required. Joseph may have had stepchildren as suggested by the Greek Orthodox Church, but this passage of the Bible means that Mary had no recognized sons or daughters to take care of her now so technically Jesus was her only biological offspring and the New Testament says now John becomes her adopted son so she will be taken care as required by Jewish law and culture.
Revelation 2:26 "And he who overcomes and keeps My Works until the end, to him will I give power (means authority) over the nations. This is the declaration of Jesus who He will appoint His Chief Steward as Jesus prophesied in Matthew 24 and Luke 12 for when He returns to earth.
The works of Jesus is the Apostolic Christianity founded by Jesus and His Apostles. The one who loves and upholds his Apostolic Christianity will Jesus make his Joseph or right hand to Jesus. This is what this section of Revelation says.
As I write this, I just heard that a massive explosion of nuclear reactors occurred in Japan. And the trade winds will carry a huge radioactive cloud to the West Coast of America in maybe 2 weeks. If this report is true, my father's Vatican endorsed food product may be the only thing able to save 300 million Americans from dying from a dirty radioactive fallout over America if this cloud is too deadly over America. I therefore suggest an immediate passage of my proposed Omni Law to save America from potential nuclear annihilation coming by clouds from Japan to the West Coast of America and then all of America. Earlier it had been reported that the Rothschilds and their evil clique might detonate nuclear reactors to kill off part or all of the American people.
