Arizona Medical Marijuana Law Is Constitutional, County Judge Finds; Dispensaries On Way

This is a big court ruling for the 2010 Arizona Medical Marijuana Act, and the one on which would-be operators of dispensaries have been waiting. The decision by Superior Court Judge Michael Gordon is a green light for dispensaries to open. It's also a resounding approval of voters' wishes. The judge has ordered that Maricopa County must make allowances for the White Mountain Health Center, a planned Sun City medical-marijuana dispensary that had been stymied by the county's refusal to release zoning information required by the state. Advised by County Attorney Bill Montgomery, a staunch social conservative, the Board of Supervisors agreed that the county should not release the zoning info to White Mountain, blocking the dispensary from moving ahead with its plans. White Mountain sued, declaring that voters were getting stiffed. Montgomery teamed up with state Attorney General Tom Horne's office to argue the federal preemption angle -- that is, Arizona couldn't possibly legalize or authorize the use of marijuana, because the federal government says marijuana is illegal. Gordon rejected that argument, writing: ... in the final analysis, the Court finds that federal law does not preempt the AMMA. In so doing, the Court notes that Arizona, if it had wished to do so, could have fully decriminalized the possession, use and sale of marijuana under State law. In its wisdom, Arizona took a far narrower and deliberative course opting to allow only the chronically ill access to it and only after a licensed physician certified that it might well relieve its citizens of suffering. The reason the Arizona law's not unconstitutional, as Montgomery and Horne had maintained, is because the feds are free to enforce federal law if they choose to. Arizona hasn't preempted the federal government from doing anything, in other words. Gordon goes even further on this point, saying that Arizona's system gives the feds a "roadmap" to enforcement, if the feds choose to close down or bust operations that sell marijuana. The dispensary locations will be easily identified. Arizona's law might even assist the federal Controlled Substances Act in its goals, Gordon says: Clearly, the mere State authorization of a very limited amount of federally proscribed conduct, under a tight regulatory scheme, provides no meaningful obstacle to federal enforcement. No one can argue that the federal government's ability to enforce the CSA is impaired to the slightest degree. Indeed, the United States Supreme Court has been unequivocal on this point. See generally Gonzales v. Raich. Instead of frustrating the CSA's purpose, it is sensible to argue that the AMMA furthers the CSA's objectives in combating drug abuse and the illegitimate trafficking of controlled substances. The county and state may appeal, but in the meantime, the dispensaries will open. Arizona Organix, the first dispensary to be approved by the state Department of Health Services, is scheduled to open on Thursday. A dispensary in Tucson opened today. Despite Gordon's invitation for federal enforcement, it seems the Obama Administration is unlikely to put a halt to Arizona's burgeoning medical-marijuana industry, judging by the flourishing industry in Colorado, which has a system similar to that of Arizona's. Meanwhile, raids of dispensaries in California, which doesn't have a state law authorizing the sale of marijuana at dispensaries, continue to occur. The decision by the Arizona judge follows landmark elections for legalized marijuana in Colorado and Washington. I thought I had heard it all when it comes to the things people are usually told about colitis when they get their diagnosis. I call them "colitis-isms." You know, the usual stuff like: - How drugs like Asacol are the ONLY treatment. (Silly you -- never mind worrying that its most common side effects are gas, cramps and diarrhea--the very things it's supposed to HELP.) - How you are basically "doomed" once you have it and your life will never be normal again. (Read: Know where the bathroom is everywhere you go...and learn to deal with the embarrassment.) - How you might be looking at surgery (and a possible J-pouch or colostomy) if the drugs won't keep you in remission. Keep your fingers crossed that you don't have to go under the knife. - And the biggest lie -- how your diet makes absolutely NO difference in your condition. Well, I was wrong. I HAVEN'T heard it all. Because Rod, who had colitis, then was told he was supposedly misdiagnosed, then got it again...really bad. Here's Rod's personal journey with colitis, as well as how he's proven many of the usual "colitis-isms" to be a bunch of malarkey. ******************* Hi Sherry, I wanted to share my personal journey with you and how you are affecting it as well as others around me. Back in 2008 I was diagnosed with Chronic Colitis. I had bloody stools with minor pain but frequent heavy urges to pass them. The colonoscopy revealed from my rectum up 6 inches into my colon was inflamed. I was prescribed Asacol which I took for a few months with seeming little to no results from the drug. I wasn't miserable but very uncomfortable. Therefore, I read as much as I could about natural ways to help me. I started taking Aloe and Omega 3 Fish oil, and started eating better. At my one year appointment and colonoscopy, (my original doctor retired so this was a completely new doctor) I reported my condition to the doctor and underwent the procedure. Upon waking, it was reported to me that I never had colitis and all the biopsies showed complete negative. I was surprised to say the least. Labeled a mis-diagnosis, I went on about my life. January 2012 rolls around and I still find myself in good health. Four years have passed and I suspect nothing. The next day would tell a totally different story. I woke to a familiar feeling when I used the toilet. Small amounts of blood were in my stool again. It would only take about 1 month before my life became a nightmare. The amount of blood in my stools was scary. It was so painful to pass the stools I could not sit afterwards. I had no energy after a day at work to do much other than sleep. Making an appointment with the second doctor, I underwent a colonoscopy again only to be once again diagnosed with colitis--more severe this time. I was prescribed a daily suppository of 1000mg mesalamine and sent on my way. I was told my life is now changed forever. No hope except for the drugs and the level they will be prescribed. So frustrated, I refused to believe this. I started looking for similarities in my habits in 2008 and now leading up to the event. I realized that it came at the same time of the year. I realized it came during a phase of my weight training that put me eating very large quantities of protein (whey and solid) and little to no veggies or fruits. White House invoices show excessive state dinner costs

President Obama spent more than $1.45 million on his first two official state dinners, according to White House financial documents obtained by The Washington Examiner.

The White House Executive Residence sent two invoices to the State Department's Office of Protocol, seeking reimbursement for the White House dinners honoring visiting Indian and Mexican heads of state.

The October 2009 Indian dinner cost $487,168.86 or $1,485 per person, according to the invoices. The May 2010 Mexican dinner price tag was $969,793.92 and was attended by 200 people at a cost of $4,770 each.

The Washington Examiner first reported on Oct. 25, 2012, that White House spending on state dinners has skyrocketed under Obama.
Both invoices are simply titled "Bill for Collection" and seek State Department reimbursement. Costs of White House social events involving foreign dignitaries are covered in the State Department's budget.

The actual costs of the two events was not revealed by White House officials to Congress out of concern for "protocol considerations," according to a 2010 expense report obtained by the Examiner. The White House is required to submit the report annually to Congress.

The invoice address is 7001 Lafayette Avenue in Riverdale, MD, a National Park Service location. Federal contracting records identify Reservation Number One and the address as the financial processing office for the White House Executive Residence. Technically, the White House property falls under Park Service authority.

The Obamas came to Washington seeking to inject sizzle into the nation's capitol. A June 2010 Vanity Fair article gushed the Obama White House would usher in a new era of "stylishness in contrast to the uptight, closed-off dullness of the Bush regime."
ABC News hailed the November 2009 dinner for Indian Prime Minister Monmohan Singh as the "hottest ticket in town and the most highly anticipated social event of the year."

White House officials had a massive pavilion constructed on the South Lawn that took five days to build. The temporary structure included a fully heated concert hall with adjacent satellite kitchens and a dozen hanging chandeliers to make it seem like "a magical secret garden," reported Vanity Fair.

The Obamas rejected Cristeta Comerford, their regular White House chef and a holdover from the Bush term, preferring to import Marcus Samuelsson, a celebrity chef from New York's trendy Aquavit restaurant.

Vanity Fair estimated that the pavilion cost as much as $250,000. The White House invoice shows the Indian dinner's total cost was $487,000.

In May 2010, White House officials again transformed the South Lawn, this time into an elaborate nightclub to welcome former Mexican President Felipe Calderon. The dinner featured a private concert by pop star Beyonce.

Daily FLOTUS blogger Lynn Sweet reported in a May 20, 2010, post that the portable concert hall was "a giant lavish venue made up to look like a ritzy nightclub with black walls, black carpet, stunning floral decorations and strings of monarch butterfly cutouts."
The Mexican gala was the maiden voyage for Juliana Smoot, who had been selected to succeed disgraced Social Secretary Desiree Rogers. Rogers was let go after a Reality TV couple crashed the Indian dinner.

Neither Rogers nor Smoot had prior diplomatic protocol experience. Smoot was President Obama's 2008 finance director and later became deputy campaign manager in 2012.

Smoot selected celebrity event planner Bryan Rafanelli, who was famous for planning Bill and Hillary Clinton's multi-million dollar "wedding of the decade" for their daughter Chelsea.

Rafanelli pulled out the stops for the Mexican dinner, piling up $969,000 in expenses. The regular White House chef was again replaced, this time with Chicago celebrity chef Rick Bayliss.

Former White House Usher Gary Walters told the Examiner that the most expensive White House state dinner he could recall was about $200,000. As usher, Walters was intimately involved in planning the events from 1986 to 2007.

Current White House Social Secretary Jeremy Bernard has retained Rafanelli. Mark Walsh, Rafanelli's business partner, now serves as the Deputy Chief of the Office of Protocol, which processes payments for the dinners.

On November 1, Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Ca, Chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, demanded that Secretary of State Clinton provide his panel with multiple documents about the White House State Dinner spending.

Another vacation coming up this Christmas for the Obama’s will cost American taxpayers over $4 million dollars. So how much is it costing us to support the first family? The number is much worse than you could possibly imagine.
“Every year (taxpayers in England) have to spend $57.8 million for the first family of Great Britain to make sure that everything’s maintained and everything is taken care of and their security and everything else, $57.8 million. And the people in England are upset about it,” Glenn explained this morning.
“How much did we pay our royal family? How much did it take to maintain our royal family, the Obamas, just last year? Now, this is really interesting, especially as we come up for another vacation for the Obamas. This one is going to cost us $4 million. This vacation in Hawaii for Christmas is going to cost you $4 million. How much did we spend last year? Remember, the royal family cost $57.8 million. Would you be stunned if I told you it was $50 million? Would you be ‑‑ would you be bowled over if it was $100 million? How much do we spend? The total last year, a little higher than $57.8 million.”
So what was it? $60 million? No. $100 million? Nope. $250 million? Not even close.
The answer: $1.4 billion  no way I must say.
“Look, I have no problem, no problem with the president of the United States taking a vacation. I’ve never had a problem with it. I’ve never had a problem with the president going on vacation when it was Bill Clinton, when it was George W. Bush or even Obama. There is an extraordinary number of vacation and golf days in this man’s schedule and an extraordinary number of campaign days in this man’s schedule, but I have no problem with him taking a vacation. But a $4 million vacation is a little over the top. And that’s just this vacation,” Glenn said.
“Again, perspective. As we were sitting in the bus and we heard about a $4 million, I said to Pat, I wonder how much they spend on the royal family. How much do they spend on the royal family compared to how much we spend on the Obama vacations and the Obama houses? And we got that number and it came from a book that is now, you know, the rage over in England. Of course we’re not saying anything about it here. It’s now the rage over in England. It’s more than 20 times.”

Our personal DNA and the DNA of just about every living organism on the planet is being changed in ways that we cannot even imagine through the process of horizontal or lateral gene transfer, courtesy of the biotechnology industry and geo-engineering programs.
Horizontal gene transfer is the transfer of genetic material from one organism to another organism that is not its offspring; this is most common among bacteria.

Horizontal gene transfer is used in laboratory-based genetic engineering, and also occurs naturally, within the confines of nature. When nature is in charge, certain things simply do not happen such as a tomato crossing with a fish. In the laboratory, using artificial horizontal gene transfer, anything goes.
Genetic engineering involves designing artificial constructs to cross species barriers and to invade genomes. In other words, it enhances horizontal gene transfer – the direct transfer of genetic material to unrelated species. The artificial constructs or transgenic DNA typically contain genetic material from bacteria, viruses and other genetic parasites that cause diseases as well as antibiotic resistance genes that make infectious diseases untreatable.

The results of these experiments are inherently unstable, and are being unleashed with no oversight into our food supply, and onto the world’s agricultural stage.

Lab-based horizontal gene transfer is completely foreign-to-nature. It creates genetic mutations arising from the unnatural melding of species that should never cross to begin with. Using an artificial process, genetic information is passed from one species to another that would not normally occur. Bacteria then horizontally transfer this unnatural genetic information to other bacteria and organisms. One place where this transfer occurs regularly is in the soil.
Studies of horizontal gene exchange in soil microcosms are important from several points of view. Firstly, the increasing interest in the possible spread of GMOs (genetically modified microorganisms) and antibiotic resistance traits has prompted researchers to study genetic interactions between bacteria in a number of different habitats. Secondly, horizontal gene transfer in soil may play a role in the evolution of new bacterial traits.

Abundance is our topic for today, but in a more basic way than we have discussed before. We are certain that every one of you who has even the most basic daily routine of prayer, meditation, grounding, or what some of you call earthing, is now very aware of the immense change in the energy you are immersed in at his time. Even when you think back a short period of time you must realize the change that has been happening.
This is the light, the frequencies, the energy of which we have been speaking for almost a year through this channel. It is the reason also that many unaware ones around you are acting rather strangely. Sooner or later, they will ask what is going on. Let us focus upon yourselves.
What can you do with this? Do you want a short answer? Very well. Everything! We chuckle. We see you want a bit more explanation.
This level of intensity is allowing you to feel the unconditional love of which we have spoken for so long. This is the ‘stuff’ of which everything is created which is created. Very, very complex or very, very simple… your choice. It is, therefore, what you are and what everything around you is. It is what the stars are. It is what sub-atomic particles are. And one step smaller, it is the field of energy from which those particles emerge and into which they merge once again. But what makes them become what they become when they become something? What causes the immense array of continual becoming that you observe? Why does it keep making what I am looking at? Why does it not change shape or color or move about? What has all this to do with me? Well, you see dear friends, it is shaped by consciousness.
Many scientists have said this for quite some time, but because they were unable to follow that up with an explanation of how, their ideas were put aside. You, however, do not need any approval from any scientific community. And you are the ones who do the assembly of this do-it-yourself kit.
But remember that it is a group project and come together accordingly. Actually, you are doing this quite nicely. Now, as the volume gets turned up even more, you must only observe what changes you are creating to confirm this for yourselves. If we had not told you these things, you might still be able to remain unaware of them. But now you know. And it is impossible to un-know a thing. So what do you do now?
In past times, this might have been problematic. However, as you have been going through vast amounts of clearing these past weeks, some of which is still going on, we are able to tell you that all you need do is simply join together and consciously create the world you wish to live in. You are approaching now a world in which you not only can trust your Creator, but yourselves and each other. At first, your steps may be a bit wobbly, but it won’t be long until you are running.
One last reminder, if we may. The more you see and give gratitude for, the more you shall receive.
We have given you much to contemplate today. Please spend some time doing that. Look at what is around you. Appreciate what you see. And then, dear friends, ask what it is that you do not yet see. What fun it will be when you begin to open your eyes. That is for another day.
