Did the Creator of the Experimental Ebola Drug Joke About Culling 25% of the World’s Population? | Liberty Blitzkrieg

Charles Arntzen is the Regents’ Professor and Florence Ely Nelson Presidential Chair of the Biodesign Institute at Arizona State University. Dr. Arntzen is known as a pioneer in the development of edible plant-based vaccines, and he has also been a key collaborator on what appears to be a promising new Ebola drug.

The Washington Post recently reported that:

It took nearly three decades of tireless research and countless millions of U.S. government dollars to produce a few grams of the experimental Ebola drug that may have saved the lives of two U.S. missionaries stricken by the virus in West Africa.
And now some are asking this question: If the drug did help missionaries Kent Brantly and Nancy Writebol, whose conditions appear to be improving, could the same drug be given to the hundreds of people dying of Ebola in Liberia, Sierra Leone, Guinea and Nigeria?
What would it cost? What are the ethics of distributing a drug that had never been tested on humans in foreign countries — even if medical authorities could persuade people to take it? And how fast could it be done?
“Two months,” said Charles J. Arntzen, a professor at the Biodesign Institute at Arizona State University, who has collaborated for the past 15 years with Mapp Biopharmaceutical, the small San Diego company that produced the experimental serum given to the two Americans. “Maybe they could do it in a month. If they were [already] planning on it, I’m sure they could produce 10,000 doses in a month.”
Anthony S. Fauci, director of the NIH’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, was more cautious in an interview on CNN on Tuesday. “It is not easy to make this serum,” he said. “The number of doses that are available right now, today . . . is less than a handful.

Two months, or maybe even one month! Wow, this certainly seems like a miracle, right? The only problem is this guy is kind of creepy. In fact, he was apparently caught in 2012 joking about culling 25% of the world’s population to solve the challenging problem of feeding 8 billion people.

Well we went to bed with the same news as we awaken with this morning...that Abadi and entourage to be announced in the coming hours....within 36 hours it would seem....will this bring some other interesting details with it....undoubtedly....for I fear we have not heard the last out of Maliki....notice he has again grown quiet....when the snake is quiet one learns to be extra cautious of where one walks...looking "over" door sills before entering a new room even....I predict that Maliki will not be meeting Abadi to offer kisses on the cheeks. DELTA'S new theme song....."You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet."

Deputy: Jubouri asked MPs not to travel to their home provinces in preparation for a vote on government
....

The finishing touches are being applied to Abadi's court and they should be presented to the Speaker of Parliament and other Parliament members in the coming hours....so a request from al-Jubouri to all members of Parliament.....do not travel home between Wednesday and Saturday....as there will likely be an emergency session of Parliament called to announce Abadi's Court of Ministers.....be here to receive them in the proper fashion.....meanwhile Abadi is still focusing upon and discussing the idea that some laws need to be and should be pushed back to the provinces where they rightfully should have been in the first place.....allowing them to better manage their own business.

Well now we have an article that wants us to believe that Abadi is merely going to "present" his ministers today that a vote on them will not take place until next week sometime....more discussion of how the ministerial positions have been divided up....but again...this is from yet another anonymous source....so I'm tending to say I'll believe this when it happens....this is not Abadi talking.....so I'll choose at this point to just watch and wait.

The Halfaya field is expected to have production come on-line next Saturday at a rate of 100,000 barrels of oil per day....not bad for starters and it is expected to increase to around 200,000 barrels of oil per day...this is after work by one of the Chinese oil company's work since 2010.

Maysan Oil completes drilling eight new wells and produce 141 million barrels per day during June and July

Similar article that speaks to the whole of the Maysan Oil Company bringing on a total of 8 new wells and having production at 141 million barrels of oil per day between June and July....Maysan I believe is in the south and has been relatively unaffected by the recent terrorist activities.....this effort comes largely at the hands of Chinese oil companies.

VP Biden is expected to visit Baghdad soon.....he sees that there is still tension between political blocs over how the new government is being formed.....he better speak quick or forever hold his peace.....he will also address security and terrorist issues....should make for an interesting interaction between him and the newly formed government that could be in place by the time he gets there.

Evening vote on the government-Abbadi

No new news here....either this evening or tomorrow it looks like they could vote on the new government....we shall wait and see.

Abadi slap Maliki .. cancel orders Diwaniyah recent appointment of his men went to!

There have been a flurry of new appointments and reassignments by Maliki in the closing days of his reign as PM of Iraq.....Abadi it seems may very well cancel all such appointments and reassignments for the past three months.....that is an excellent idea on his part....stating that the caretaker government has no right to be making such changes within the government....good for Abadi to stand up against Maliki's tyranny.

Iranian pressure .. the Iraqi side, al-Maliki refused to grant legal immunity!

It would seem that Maliki has chopped off too many hands....there are none left to feed him....so will he be prosecuted once he is out of office....it appears to be highly likely....from an international standpoint....not sure there is really any mechanism big enough to keep that from happening....internally....where are his few friends that he might have left....they seem to have scampered away to other parts of the world already.

I do not understand why so many people are thinking that NESARA (or GESARA) is connected to the RV. This makes NO sense whatsoever, IF Obama is the one calling for these delays.

IF NESARA was really going to become the "Law of the land", then the last person that would be able to affect its implementation is the administration that will be replaced. Like al-Maliki is stepping down willingly, neither will the Executive Administration, even if Obama wanted too.

The MP said the bloc Razak Mahabs in a statement for "Alsumaria News", seen by the Agency for News News (et ) that "the mass of Badr parliamentary nominated by the Secretary General of the Badr Organization, Hadi al-Amiri for the post of defense minister," noting that "the bloc nominated six figures to take over the ministries of transport and youth and sport. Mahabs added that "our demand for access to these ministries comes within our rights election," pointing out that "Ameri bloc candidates presented to Prime Minister-designate Haider al-Abadi."

 And announced the Liberal bloc, on Thursday (September 4, 2014), to provide candidates for the prime minister-designate Haider Abadi to assume ministerial portfolios, as pointed out they will get the position of a sovereign and three ministries of service in the new government.

 That came after he announced the leader of the Islamic Supreme Council Ammar Al-Issa, on Wednesday (September 4, 2014), that the coming hours will witness the completion of the new government formation, while the expected vote in the House of Representatives tomorrow or the next few days.

Referred to as the MP for the coalition of state law, Abbas al-Bayati said, on Wednesday, that the government of Prime Minister-designate Haider Abadi will see the light early next week, as pointed out that the mechanism of forming the new government includes the National Alliance for the 17 ministries.

U.S. bank regulators set to adopt liquidity, swaps margin rules

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – U.S. bank regulators plan to adopt on Wednesday rules forcing big banks to hold more assets that they could sell easily in a credit crunch, a requirement that is closely linked to the experience of the 2007-2009 financial crisis.

Regulators also will unveil a separate proposal governing how much money swaps buyers and sellers must set aside when they make trades outside central clearing houses.

The rules from the Federal Reserve, Federal Deposit Insurance Corp (FDIC) and Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) are part of a series of reforms aimed at making banks sturdier and heading off another economic meltdown.

The liquidity rules, which call for big banks to hold enough liquid assets to meet their cash needs for 30 days, are a key pillar of the international agreement known as Basel III. They aim to ensure banks have easy-to-sell assets on hand so they could meet customer withdrawals or post collateral in a crunch.

U.S. regulators in October 2013 proposed liquidity requirements that were more stringent than the global agreement, with a shorter phase-in period for domestic banks such as JPMorgan Chase <JPM.N> and Goldman Sachs <GS.N> than their foreign counterparts would face.

The final rules, to be unveiled on Wednesday, have already sparked protests. That is because regulators will spell out which assets count as highly liquid. Banks will have to hold a minimum amount of these assets, such as U.S. Treasuries.

As in the initial proposal, municipal bonds will not count toward that buffer, a person familiar with the situation said. That has angered state officials, who say banks will buy fewer of their bonds and taxpayers will shoulder more costs for projects such as new roads.

“As stewards of our states’ coffers and protectors of our states’ financial resources, state treasurers were surprised to learn that federal regulators quietly posted their intent…to vote on significant and potentially very harmful rules,” the National Association of State Treasurers said in a statement.

SWAPS MARGIN

In a separate action, regulators expect to re-propose margin requirements for swaps trades conducted outside clearing houses.

Those rules were proposed in 2011 but were never made final. The new proposal due out Wednesday is expected to tie into guidelines released by the global Basel group last year.

Swaps, which mushroomed during the pre-crisis boom and were lightly regulated, largely must now be routed through clearing houses, or middlemen that take on the risk that trading partners will not deliver on their promises.

But some swaps are complicated and are still not cleared. The new rules will regulate how much margin counterparties must set aside for these riskier deals.

Experts said banks are keeping a close eye on the margin rules, which could be costly for them. The regulators also are expected to take a third, unrelated action to finalize rules proposed in April 2014 that specify how banks must calculate their capital requirements. =========================== Thank you PIF

Risan confirmed MP Sheikh Dler list of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan in the House of Representatives today Thursday, 04/09/2014, that the House will hold a special meeting to vote on forming the next federal government.

Sack Lunches....PLEASE DO NOT DELETE....                                         Sack Lunches : I put my carry-on in the luggage compartment and sat down in my assigned seat. It was going to be a long flight. 'I'm glad I have a good book to read. Perhaps I will get a short nap,' I thought. Just before take-off, a line of soldiers came down the aisle and filled all the vacant seats, totally surrounding me. I decided to start a conversation. 'Where are you headed?' I asked the soldier seated nearest to me. 'Petawawa. We'll be there for two weeks for special training, and then we're being deployed to Afghanistan After flying for about an hour, an announcement was made that sack lunches were available for five dollars. It would be several hours before we reached the east, and I quickly decided a lunch would help pass the time... As I reached for my wallet, I overheard a soldier ask his buddy if he planned to buy lunch. 'No, that seems like a lot of money for just a sack lunch. Probably wouldn't be worth five bucks. I'll wait till we get to base.' His friend agreed. I looked around at the other soldiers. None were buying lunch. I walked to the back of the plane and handed the flight attendant a fifty dollar bill. 'Take a lunch to all those soldiers.' She grabbed my arms and squeezed tightly. Her eyes wet with tears, she thanked me. 'My son was a soldier in Iraq ; it's almost like you are doing it for him.' Picking up ten sacks, she headed up the aisle to where the soldiers were seated. She stopped at my seat and asked, 'Which do you like best - beef or chicken?' 'Chicken,' I replied, wondering why she asked. She turned and went to the front of plane, returning a minute later with a dinner plate from first class. 'This is your thanks.' After we finished eating, I went again to the back of the plane, heading for the rest room. A man stopped me. 'I saw what you did. I want to be part of it. Here, take this.' He handed me twenty-five dollars. Soon after I returned to my seat, I saw the Flight Captain coming down the aisle, looking at the aisle numbers as he walked, I hoped he was not looking for me, but noticed he was looking at the numbers only on my side of the plane. When he got to my row he stopped, smiled, held out his hand and said, 'I want to shake your hand.' Quickly unfastening my seatbelt I stood and took the Captain's hand. With a booming voice he said, 'I was a soldier and I was a military pilot. Once, someone bought me a lunch. It was an act of kindness I never forgot.' I was embarrassed when applause was heard from all of the passengers. Later I walked to the front of the plane so I could stretch my legs. A man who was seated about six rows in front of me reached out his hand, wanting to shake mine. He left another twenty-five dollars in my palm. When we landed I gathered my belongings and started to deplane. Waiting just inside the airplane door was a man who stopped me, put something in my shirt pocket, turned, and walked away without saying a word. Another twenty-five dollars! Upon entering the terminal, I saw the soldiers gathering for their trip to the base. I walked over to them and handed them seventy-five dollars. 'It will take you some time to reach the base. It will be about time for a sandwich. God Bless You.' Ten young men left that flight feeling the love and respect of their fellow travelers. As I walked briskly to my car, I whispered a prayer for their safe return. These soldiers were giving their all for our country. I could only give them a couple of meals. It seemed so little... A veteran is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'citizens of United States ' for an amount of 'up to and including my life.' That is Honour, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.'

Excerpts: As for the lies the American people are being told, Fernando says: Don't believe everything you hear in the news. There is something happening here, there is danger for the people that are living here right now, based on the way they're handling the immigration problem.   They're allowing these people to come through our neighborhoods and those of us that are actually living here are the ones that are seeing it on a daily basis. Like Fernando, most of his neighbors are Hispanic, and they feel the same as he does about illegals being able to just walk onto their land: When they have to deal with the same thing I'm dealing with, they don't like it either.  But a lot of these people, they don't like to get involved because of fear that their family might be threatened, or they themselves might be threatened, because of the proximity with the border fence and the river, so, I mean I understand their fear, but the way I look at it is, this is my home, if I don't stand up to these people, you know, sooner or later they're going to want to take over, so, I'm not willing to let anybody take over. In response to the mainstream media spin that anyone who doesn't want an open border and amnesty is a racist, he is asked if race has anything to do with it, and replies  "no, it doesn't have anything to do with racism.   It has to do with a way of life, and safety for our families."  He notes that he himself is Hispanic and he has no problem with people immigrating, so long as they do it legally.  "As long as they're not threatening my family and my safety, my own home, I don't have a problem with them.  Do things the right way, like every citizen is expected to, follow the laws - and they should fall under the same rule - follow the laws and do it legally and I don't have a problem with you," he said.
