The Republican House Majority Whip, Steve Scalise, does not seem to be doing well in the hospital.
Two GOP congressmen told the media that Scalise had to have a second operation on Wednesday, after being shot in Arlington, VA, by James T. Hodgkinson during baseball practice for a Congressional Republican team.
It has been discovered that Hodgkinson is a staunch Bernie Sanders supporter and hates ‘Trump & Co.'
Haunting footage of the aftermath of the shooting has been released.
The hospital where the party whip is being treated released a statement.
MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC, stated, “Rep. Scalise was critically injured and remains in critical condition. The other patient is in good condition.”
This information was posted before Scalise’s second operation.

London fire: Six killed as Grenfell Tower engulfed

Six people have died and more than 50 are in hospital after a huge fire raged through the night at a west London tower block, police say.
Eyewitnesses described people trapped in the burning Grenfell Tower, in north Kensington, screaming for help and yelling for their children to be saved.
Firefighters rescued “large numbers”, but London Mayor Sadiq Khan said “a lot” of people were unaccounted for. The 24-storey block, which is still on fire, looks at risk of collapsing.
During the night, eyewitnesses said they saw lights – thought to be mobile phones or torches – flashing at the top of the block of flats, and trapped residents coming to their windows – some holding children.
The Met Police has set up an emergency number on 0800 0961 233 for anyone concerned about friends or family.
Resident: ‘It was like a horror movie’
London Fire Commissioner Dany Cotton said the cause of the fire was not yet known and it was too early to speculate on the building, although it was structurally safe enough for her crews to be working inside.
She urged all residents to make sure they had reported themselves to police so that the authorities know they are safe.
By mid-morning, the building looked to be just smoking ruins but the fire has again taken hold, and cladding is falling to the ground.
David Benjamin says he was woken by a neighbor banging on the door
Paul Munakr, who lives on the seventh floor, managed to escape. “As I was going down the stairs, there were firefighters, truly amazing firefighters that were actually going upstairs, to the fire, trying to get as many people out the building as possible,” he told the BBC.
He said he was alerted to the fire not by fire alarms but by people on the street below, shouting “don’t jump, don’t jump”.
Eyewitness Jody Martin said: “I watched one person falling out, I watched another woman holding her baby out the window… hearing screams. “I was yelling at everyone to get down and they were saying ‘We can’t leave our apartments, the smoke is too bad on the corridors.'”
Michael Paramaseevan, who lives on the seventh floor with his girlfriend and young daughter, said he ignored official advice to stay in your home. “If we had stayed in that flat, we would’ve perished. My gut instinct told me just to get the girls out. I wrapped the little one up because of the smoke and I just got them out.” Another resident, Zoe, who lives on the fourth floor, said she was woken by a neighbor banging on her door. “The whole landing was thick with smoke. The smoke alarms weren’t going off but the way it spread so quickly from the fourth floor, all the way up to the 23rd floor was scary.”
The first reports of fire in the tower, in Latimer Road, on the Lancaster West Estate, came in at 00:54 BST. Three hours later, people were still being evacuated from the tower, the police said.
The BBC’s Andy Moore, who was at the scene through the night, described watching debris falling from the building, and hearing explosions and breaking glass. “The police keep pushing back their cordons, pushing back members of the public for fear the building might collapse,” he said.

Mayor Sadiq Khan said he was devastated by the horrific scenes, attended by more than 250 firefighters and 100 ambulance medics. Questions will need to be answered over the safety of tower blocks, he told BBC Radio. “We can’t have a situation where people’s safety is put at risk because of bad advice being given or if it is the case, as has been alleged, of tower blocks not being properly serviced or maintained,” he said.
Matt Wrack, of the Fire Brigades Union said something had clearly gone badly wrong with fire prevention procedures at the building. Firefighters would normally fight a fire in a tower block from the inside, going up the fire escape, and fighting using the internal dry-rising mains, he said, but that’s not been possible in this case. “Several hundred” people would have been in the block when the fire broke out, leader of Kensington and Chelsea Borough Nick Paget-Brown said.
Appeals are being made on social media for news of missing friends and relatives, who might have been caught in the blaze.
An emergency rest centre has been opened for those now homeless at the Harrow Centre, in Freston Road. There are also local collections under way for spare clothes, toys, blankets and toiletries.
People are being advised by police to stay away from the area where roads are closed.

Grenfell Tower was built in 1974 by Kensington and Chelsea Borough Council. It’s part of the Lancaster West Estate, a sprawling inner-city social housing complex of nearly 1,000 homes.
Grenfell Tower underwent a two-year £10m refurbishment as part of a wider transformation of the estate, that was completed last year. Work included new exterior cladding and a communal heating system.
The 24-storey tower, containing 120 flats, is managed by the Kensington and Chelsea Tenant Management Organisation (KCTMO) on behalf of the council. The local Grenfell Action Group had claimed, before and during the refurbishment, the block constituted a fire risk and residents had warned that access to the site for emergency vehicles was “severely restricted”.

As you all know, shortly after 7:00 a.m. this morning, a gunman opened fire on members of Congress and their staffs as they were practicing for tomorrow's annual charity baseball game.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the crime, and the assailant has now died from his injuries. The FBI is leading the investigation and will continue to provide updates as new information becomes available.
Congressman Steve Scalise, a member of House leadership, was shot and badly wounded, and is now in stable condition at the hospital, along with two very courageous Capitol Police officers. At least two others were also wounded.
Many lives would have been lost if not for the heroic actions of the two Capitol Police officers who took down the gunman despite sustaining gunshot wounds during a very, very brutal assault.
Melania and I are grateful for their heroism and praying for the swift recovery of all victims.
Congressman Scalise is a friend, and a very good friend. He's a patriot and he's a fighter. He will recover from this assault. And, Steve, I want you to know that you have the prayers not only of the entire city behind you, but of an entire nation and, frankly, the entire world. America is praying for you and America is praying for all of the victims of this terrible shooting.
I spoke with Steve's wife, Jennifer, and I pledged to her our full and absolute support -- anything she needs. We are with her and with the entire Scalise family.
I have also spoken with Chief Matthew Verderosa -- he's doing a fantastic job -- of the Capitol Police to express our sympathies for his wounded officers and to express my admiration for their courage. Our brave Capitol Police perform a challenging job with incredible skill, and their sacrifice makes democracy possible.
We also commend the brave first responders from Alexandria Police, Fire and Rescue who rushed to the scene. Everyone on that field is a public servant -- our courageous police, our congressional aides who work so tirelessly behind the scenes with enormous devotion, and our dedicated members of Congress who represent our people.
We may have our differences, but we do well, in times like these, to remember that everyone who serves in our nation’s capital is here because, above all, they love our country.

There are now countless scandals erupting from the Obama Administration, but none compare to the complete lack of respect he had for the American people and their Constitutional rights.
Liberals currently hold the absurd narrative that Russian officials hacked the election in favor of Donald Trump, causing Clinton to lose her seat in the White House, and that Obama worked to prevent any interference. (? they hate each other!)
But new information is coming forth that could break the Russian probe wide open, and it holds Obama accountable for any interference happening.
According to the National Association of the Secretaries of State, Obama never warned anyone about the Russian interference within the country’s electoral system, despite knowing about them well in advance.
The Daily Caller reports:
“We did ask,” Denise Merrill, Connecticut Secretary of State and the association’s top official, told The Daily Caller News Foundation’s Investigative Group Wednesday.
“And over and over again, they did say there was no credible threat that they had found. And they said that right through the election, and the next administration reiterated that.
Over and over again when we asked, we were told there was no actual threat that they knew of,” Merrill said.
Asked if there were any private briefings for state election officials on possible Russian interference prior to the November 2016 voting, Merrill said, “No. We were not briefed on any of that. We were not told in advance.”
Merrill also claimed the administration failed to take state officials aside about a potential or real Russian threat to election machinery.
“That’s right, because I don’t really think there was one,” she said.
Obama’s former Secretary of Homeland Security confirmed the comments made by Denise Merrill.
Both admissions directly contradicted a top-secret National Security Agency document that recent White House leaker Reality Winner released.
The document was given to the Intercept, which is a liberal news franchise with close ties to the Clinton family.
Col. Jim Waurishuk, a former senior intelligence official, told The Daily Caller that the document was unrelated to the potential election interference, and that it was a highly classified document the public should not have their hands on.
The Daily Caller writes:
“This document has nothing to do with affecting the election or with ballots,” he said. “It has nothing to do with the outcome of the election. This is merely a foreign signals intercept by U.S. intelligence officials.”
The Russians were “basically going to the office computers of a private company that served election organizations. Their malware went there, not to election balloting machinery. They were hoping office workers might be lured into a phishing effort,” Waurishuk said.
Regardless of the exact contents of the document, the story released by the Interceptdirectly contradicts what former President Barack Obama assured the American people he had done.
He had promised that state governments were made aware of any potential threat, and now he is being caught in his web of lies. (once again)

BREAKING: Rep. Steve Scalise shot in apparent assassination attempt
According to Sen. Mike Lee, a staffer used a belt as a tourniquet to stop Scalise’s bleeding, who was shot during infield baseball practice in the lead-up to the Congressional baseball game. Eyewitnesses have speculated that Scalise was deliberately targeted.
Reports say a wounded Capitol policeman, there as security for the congressmen, returned fire and “took down” the gunman. Between 50 and 60 shots were reportedly exchanged. Sen. Rand Paul told Fox News that if the Capitol police had not been present it “would have been a massacre.” Paul reported that the gunman was armed with an AR-15.
Rep. Ron Desantis and approximately a dozen other conservative lawmakers and staff were present at the shooting. Desantis told Fox News that an unidentified man approached him and colleagues as they were leaving and “walked up to us asking whether it was Republicans or Democrats out there.” Desantis said he mentioned the incident to police, but couldn’t confirm if the encounter was with the gunman — but did mention that it “fits.” Ten minutes after, the shooting reportedly started.

He took action after the officials refused to give him the time of day when he reported the massive constitutional violations that were routinely occurring.

“The suit, filed late Monday night by Dennis Montgomery, was assigned to the same federal judge who has already ruled that some of the NSA’s collection of data on Americans violates the U.S. Constitution’s Fourth Amendment, setting up an intriguing legal proceeding in the nation’s capital this summer.
Montgomery says the evidence he gave to the FBI chronicle the warrantless collection of phone, financial and personal data and the unmasking of identities in spy data about millions of Americans.
“This domestic surveillance was all being done on computers supplied by the FBI,” Montgomery told Circa in an interview. “So these super computers, which are FBI computers, the CIA is using them to do domestic surveillance.”
Documents obtained by Circa outside of the lawsuit show that the U.S. attorney’s office in Washington in 2015 approved a grant of limited immunity for Montgomery so he could explain how he managed to walk out of his contract and the buildings he worked in with the classified material. “
The Obama administration and the intelligence community are already in hot water over abusing their surveillance powers.
In 2013, Edward Snowden revealed the Obama administration’s illegal domestic spying program where the NSA was collecting the electronic communications of every American.
To top it off, in April, a FISA court judge rebuked the Obama administration for ignoring the legal safeguards in place to protect American citizens from surveillance.

We have witnessed groups of people attempting to stop President Trump since before he even officially won the election. Now, one organization has officially gone too far.
A left-wing group, ironically called the American Constitution Society (ACS), recently met to discuss their plans for President Trump. According to Breitbart, during their meeting they openly spoke of trying to infiltrate the administration with “sleeper” liberals. Their goal is to stop Trump from making ANY progress by resisting him at every step!
We are SICK and TIRED of the Left opposing Trump simply because he was not their candidate of choice. The people in the ACS are supposed to be lawyers (that right there is their PROBLEM), but they would probably only be able to give you vague talking points as to why they hate Trump. Like most people on the Left, this group has been brainwashed into thinking that Trump doesn’t have their best interest at heart.
If the Left used a tiny bit of common sense, they would realize that Trump is one of the ONLY presidents to look out for the American people. All you have to do is look
back to Obama for comparison. Obama was more worried about giving guns to the Mexican drug cartels via the “Fast and Furious” operation with the help of Chicago's Rahm Emanuel or giving unimaginable amounts of money to the Middle East for who knows what.
The group is making the claim that the “deep state” is a good thing and that they need to do everything they can to keep it around. Liberals have been strongly against constitutionalism for a long time. If they had their way, the federal government would do everything and the states would have NO power. (We would be taken to the FEMA camps as well - Hillary Clinton's plan as president.) The only exception to the rule is the topic of illegal immigration. The Left thinks you can ignore THAT particular federal law but all others must be obeyed. We are witnessing firsthand why liberals are the laughing stock of the Western world.
It gets even more disturbing as you listen to people from the ACS speak. One person, Jon Michaels, suggested that we need to use “rogue tweeting” or “leaking to the media” as ways for stopping Trump. In other words, they are confirming what we have known for a long time. (Some Americans are so dumbed down, so 'smart' that they wouldn't know a tank if it was ready to run them down. The very ones working diligently to reverse all the damage done to this nation, to turn it around for the better, are their 'enemies'. Figure that one.)
Liberals are committed to the goal of taking Trump out by any means necessary. We will NOT allow them to take out our treasured political system because they are upset about the results of an election. Someone needs to tell the Left to GROW UP and stop acting like a bunch of hateful children.
There is a reason that no one takes them seriously, and this is it. The Left is nothing more than a joke as well as the punchline.
Pathetic is another word that perfectly sums up their efforts to take out Trump. If they worked with him, perhaps MORE progress could be made, but they won’t.
Trump will continue fighting for us and, at the end of the day, it is THEIR loss - not ours.
