| Hi John Say the words "ulcerative colitis" to the nearest person and they'll probably wince and groan. That's because most people correctly associate it with LOTS of pain and diarrhea. Imagine then how it must feel to have a doctor saying "ulcerative colitis" to you, and having that be your diagnosis. Frightened. Frustrated. Bewildered. Hopeless. Angry. Those are some of the reactions that have been described to me by hundreds of my readers. But perhaps the saddest thing of all is how people with ulcerative colitis feel there's nothing they can do to make a difference. They've resigned themselves to the fact that they must "live with it," dutifully take their steroids, and pray they don't lose their colon. Plus, there's the tremendous impact on their quality of life. As any UC sufferer will tell you, your life becomes completely about the disease. You miss time from work or school and grades or jobs suffer. You decline social invitations for fear of having an attack and all the embarrassment that would cause. And God knows, you MUST know where the public bathroom is in every single place you go! But you know what? It doesn't have to be that way. There ARE things you can do that can make a tremendous difference in how you feel. You CAN help to prevent attacks. You CAN help keep your colon. You CAN possibly get off dangerous drugs. In other words, you CAN prove your doctor wrong. All it takes is giving your body a little help from within.
Here's what I mean -- there are 2 very effective ways you can help your body win the war over ulcerative colitis: 1) Better digestion = happy colon A MAJOR factor affecting the level of inflammation in your colon is how good your digestion is. And that begins and ends with your food choices. Efficient digestion helps produce wastes that move through your intestines easier, so there is less irritation of a colon that may be covered with sores and pus. Poor digestion, on the other hand, results in wastes that can stick to your colon wall and harmful bacteria buildup, both of which can lead to irritation that causes or worsens an attack... Detrimental for people with ulcerative colitis.
What has been proven to work like magic is combinations of foods that help keep your digestion efficient. Eating all the food groups in single meals is literally a recipe for misery when you have colitis. But when you eat alkaline-creating foods and food combinations that play nice with each other, it's like heaven.
No pain. No gurgling. No diarrhea. Just peace. And that's what I will teach you in the Great Taste No Pain system. In the Great Taste No Pain manuals, you'll learn exactly what to do, exactly what to eat and how to mix your foods so you'll minimize colon irritation and feel great every day, after every meal, every hour of every day. Plus I'll explain the science behind why it works so well for everyone. In plain English. Yes, the GTNP principles are founded in the sciences of human biology and chemistry...and they're based on a system devised by a medical doctor who overcame an often fatal kidney disease by eating this way. Many GTNP customers with ulcerative colitis report relief from diarrhea and bleeding almost immediately. Aaahhhh...can't you just feel the comfort?
And now for number 2 (no pun intended): 2) Smarten up that immune system Ulcerative colitis does involve a mixed-up immune response, but that's no reason to wave a white flag and give up. There's plenty you can do-- but first you need to see what's going on: There are 2 kinds of cells in your immune system -- Helper T cells and Regulatory T cells. Helper T cells patrol your body like a police officer, looking for dangerous invaders. Once they see what they think is a threat, they quickly multiply themselves and ATTACK! So with ulcerative colitis, it's these Helper T cells that are the culprit. They get confused and see your normal intestinal cells as the enemy. Then they launch their attack...and you fly to the toilet. Regulatory T cells, on the other hand, stop inflammation and keep your harmless tissues safe. So if you have ulcerative colitis, you want to make sure you have LOTS of Regulatory T cells. How can you do that? Well, after your T cells are formed in your bone marrow, most times the decision of whether a T cell becomes Helper or Regulatory takes place in your gut. And a strong population of beneficial bacteria (probiotics) in your gut helps to encourage more Regulatory T cell formation, which means you have more of these good guys to fight inflammation. Plus, probiotics help the other cells in your intestinal tract to see normal molecules as innocent instead of dangerous.... ...A double bonus for anyone with ulcerative colitis. And the best way you can help your body to achieve and maintain a strong population of beneficial bacteria is to take a top-shelf probiotic supplement. Like Super Shield multi-strain probiotic formula. Unlike risky drugs and steroids that throw other bodily systems out of whack, Super Shield helps naturally encourage more Regulatory T cell formation, thereby addressing the immune system's mixed-up response to normal tissues and cells. It also helps your digestion become more efficient and encourages regular, smooth-sailing bowel movements. That's sweet music to an ulcerative colitis sufferer's ears! And get this -- it's safe and actually GOOD for you. No dangerous side effects! Talk about a win-win. To YOUR health, Sherry Brescia PS: Janis' husband proved his doctor wrong: ******************* Sherry: My hubby was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis and his doctor said he would have to live with it the rest of his life. He wrote up a very expensive prescription we can't afford to continue to buy. The doctor also said that it has nothing to do with what you eat! Having found your Great Taste No Pain site online, I decided to prove that doctor wrong. And I have! We haven't told the doc yet! We so love your way of eating now and my hubby finally has given me credit for his new found health. Because of you and because we have followed your eating plan we are able to travel from Seattle, WA by plane to CA for our grandson's wedding. We had told all the family that we could never make the trip. Our grandson is sooo happy we can make it! He wants his Grampa to read a short scripture during the ceremony. By the way, we take the Super Shield probiotics too! Thanks so much. Luv, Janis & Bob T. ******************* PPS: Click here to read dozens more ulcerative colitis success stories.
