America Needs a President With Balls, Not a Scripted Phony

Kidney on December 11th, 2011 There’s a word that should haunt every politician seeking the oval office in 2012- ‘disingenuous’. Politicians are known to be phonies who pander only to lobyists and big corporate interests. But what makes a politician even phonier is when they read almost exclusively from a teleprompter. Do President’s write their own speeches? Nay. Most of the speeches are prepared for them. All a President has to do is stand before his audience and read the words that flash before his eyes. Not only would that person win the respect of the vast majority of the population in which they preside over, but a certain connection to the people would be felt that is otherwise non-existent when staring in to the cold, dead eyes of a virtual puppet on strings. What if a President said what he meant and did what he said? What if we had a President who ‘cussed’ and used adult language on national TV? I think that would be fun. But more than fun, its what we need. America requires a leader with a ball-sack. With economies crashing round about the globe, with rising unemployment, and with talk of a third world war over the issue of Iran, a genuine leader with a heart of solid gold is needed to take us out of the mess beneath which we have fallen. Each election cycle we have rehashed the same personality types who say everything they need to say to get elected. What we need is for someone to offend and thus break folks out of the prescription medicated daze they’ve fallen in to. Lets look at the example of Presidential candidate Ron Paul. Paul is a gentleman at all times and so even when faced with the harshest of critics, Paul remains polite and ‘fights back’ with a smile. But rather than a smile, we need a leader who would verbally abuse his mainstream, establishment detractors and do all he could to force out the truth. Since our country and our liberties are on the line at the moment, its not essentially a bad idea to ‘raise some hell’ so as to win the office of the Presidency. Former governor Jesse Ventura or someone like him would make for the perfect kind of leader that we need today. Ventura has left open the possibility of a third-party run for the White House in 2012. If elected, President Ventura would be a no non-sense kind of guy who would actually work to get s**t done in this country rather than working hard to ensure that his corporate puppet-masters were appeased. Barack Obama, perhaps the best and most recent example of a totally unoriginal, fully scripted leader, is representative of a dying age of politicians that just aren’t sitting well with youth voters. Since young people are the future, it would make sense to have a President in office who keeps the interests of this particular demographic at heart at all times.
