Hobo Prince Update

Update, June 1, 2012
Dear Friends,

Out of respect for Mr. Mitchel Curzon, Chief Enforcement officer of the Oregon Insurance Division, we are going to postpone putting up the newly designed website until we are CERTAIN that all paperwork for the Hobo Prince Economic Project has been completed properly. We are working quickly to resolve this matter so there will be no further delays. I take full responsibility for this and assure you that our goal is to have the website up by early next week.

Thanks to all of you for your continued support and words of encouragement.

Shelby H. Bell
President, Be'Rio Transports
Director, Hobo Prince Economic Project

You gotta be kidding me! Hobo Prince guy is a CON MAN with a capital C.M.! All Shelby Bell's delays in his Hobo Prince Project are classic sociopath and con tactics. He blames the news reporters, the insurance commission, etc. He uses any excuse he can find to deflect responsibility from where it really belongs - on himself. You can't get money out of nothing (no money) and there ain't no money available to put on cards to send out to thousands of people. Bell scams people so he can pretend to be a hero - maybe he gets a twisted satisfaction from deceiving the public. Wonder if his close associates helping to perpetrate scam know the truth, or has Bell managed to scam them too...? Bell lied about being a billionaire - the rest is a bunch of lies too. Why does he bother?! He is not here to help Americans, etc. He's a petty scam artist. Will you get real around here, please?

If this is such an obvious scam (and I'm not saying it's not), where are the cops? My neighbor told me about this several months back and it's my understanding that authorities in both Oregon and Washington have looked into it, but as far as I know, it's still active. One would think that if it was an obvious scam, it would be shut down by now.

That being said, the reverse self-perpetuating annuity model fails mathmatically every time, so if that's what this is about, billionaire or no billionaire, the math won't work.

have not heard his pitch on the hobo project, So I only assumed he was talking business babble and tries to smoke and mirror his audience. To the educated person, he is very transparent.

I surely wish people would do a little due diligence on people like this before throwing money at his smile.

His greenhouse plan was to float a series of greenhouses in polluted water ways with pollution specific plants that would somehow osmotic ally absorb the funk and grow nice plants.

He convinced some naive people to fund some of those 1 piece plastic tuff shed type greenhouses, After which they sat in his driveway in Longview WA on 32nd ave. for a few months while he decided to start making “industry changing” boats out of foam boards and resin.

People (Friends) invested in the materials and viola! Didn’t float upright. Professional boat builder friend tried to explain it wouldnt and why, but he insisted that when more people invested, he would be able to figure the problem out.

Actually tried to convince one of his friends, to sign a phoney purchase order for millions of dollars worth of those unique ships so he could then show the fake to investors and get funded since he had a contract P/O. I am reminded of his ability to create phoney docs. when I see the ones he is recently posting.

Fortunately, some people are not quite that stupid.

Few other ridiculous ideas around the same time, But I can only think of the people who lost money on the greenhouses and the boat thing.

Oh, other than some bank sent him a gold card (while on welfare) and he blew it all instead of supporting his wife Anya and their 4 kids.

That was 1995. Moved to Vancouver after the greenhouse people started knocking on his door.

Quite a rep in Longview WA.

His friends list at that time included:(Which non are his friends now, he took their money and moved on.)

Phil Shanteau Builder
Phillip Lovingfoss (Owner of Monticello Hotel and widower of Annabell Jewell)
Dan Estes Paramedic / coffee business owner
Dennis Hyde RET
Eldon Buckles RET
Steve Mansfield. Educator
Myself (Gary Bledso) RET

I have spoken to some of these recently and they each have other side stories about Shelby ripping people off.

I too saw the documents. You do know there is a process to the IBE. He seems to have it down. Yet, we don't know what Finance House is attempting to float the paper. Not sure if any IBE have been successful in this manner. Also, not sure if correct security signatures or others processes have been complete to even begin to be legit. The IBE is a serious issue. Many gave tried and not been successful. He may have gotten it to the point which we see and no farther. I guess we all have to wait and see. We have not gotten a post from his site in about two weeks. I wonder what is going on.

Anonymous said...

His site has removed all other updates (including his phoney IBE) except the one for today which is the same old rhetoric "Hole in the damn now gushing money" crap. See why now he was booted from the religious organization he was a part of. Scamming fellow "christians" on limited fixed income is a little below the belt.

The site has changed dramatically! He has posted what seems to be the blue print for his attempt! OK. What is the time frame for the distribution of the money? Looks like the insurance company is backing his moves. Not sure what insurance company. Perhaps a very fine play on words. Perhaps not. We Wait...

Check the website!! someone spoke way too soon!!!

I guess we will just have to wait, hopefully everything pans out the way Mr. Bell has planned. It's too bad the people would rather put out negetivaty instead of helping the situation.

To the poster of June 22, 2012; 11:51 PM:

Do you define "put out negetivaty" as simply stating the obvious? Maybe that's different than NEGATIVITY, which BTW, Shelby Bell deserves a HEAP of.

The entire Hobo Prince Economic Project is baloney - a scam.
Bell either has a lot of personal charisma or a lot of really dumb people around him, probably both.

The "International Bill of Exchange" is a crazy, FAKE document signed by a DISBARRED lawyer. The Intellectual Property Package is a JOKE! No one in their right mind could believe for a second that his half-baked ideas are worth so much money, or that anyone would ever bid on the package. Bell knows that it's just not going to happen- he couldn't possibly be so stupid himself as to believe that his ideas are worth that much money. People don't buy ideas straight-out like that - they want some track-record and proof of work-ability. Bell doesn't have that track-record. He's a liar - remember? He has been lying all along.

The new website he put up with the "perfected" IPI is just more of his delay tactics.

If Bell were a decent person, (which he very apparently is not), he would not have lied about being a billionaire from the beginning and tricked all the good but naive people who needed help. And if he were hard-working, he would have tried to create some of his "environmental" and other ideas in a reasonable way, step-by-step and with partners. If the ideas worked, he would have had something, if not, he could have tried something else. But as another poster observed, Bell is a con-man. He must have a grandiose and delusional image of himself and his ideas' value.

One last thought: if he was "all that" then everything I've written here is wrong. I'd be delighted about that! It would mean that there is a Santa Claus and money does grow on trees.

But it's all just too absurd and blatantly obvious that the con-man continues to perpetrate his con to keep collecting a little more money, and appease his all-too-patient believers. And let's not forget this one last all-too-obvious fact, which is that
if Bell was the real deal, with something truly spectacular to offer, it wouldn't matter a bit if people say bad things about him, or criticize or are skeptical. Bell would just laugh and everyone around him, who knew that he was a major billionaire genius would laugh, knowing that some little skeptic out there had said something negative, but inaccurate.

But I'm positive that if I'm negative about Shelby Bell, it's going to end up being all-too-accurate, sorry to say.

I just want him to come on with the debit cards if he is for real. I have been waiting and in dire need of help. I knew when I sent the $25 that it may be a pipe dream, but I have decided to hang in till the end. Its $25, if I never see it again, I wont cry....if he is scamming, that is what he is dependent on from all the people who signed in...that they will have this mentality and attitude. I hope he is what he says he is.

Hi Anonymous of July 5, 2012, 11:16 PM:

Take your hope out of the project. You only spent $25.00 on it. Open your eyes and use your head to see and realize that you are not going to get all the money Bell promised because he is a scam artist. You can keep believing in the Hobo Prince, but Bell is stringing you and everyone else along. The sooner you stop hoping for that and work on other creative ways to make money and get yourself out of hard times, the better off you will be.

I feel for you - and I know that false hope is not a good thing in this situation, because the let-down will be very harsh for everyone who has put so much faith into this. It's not cruel or wrong for me to say this - it's just being real. You can find a way to make money that doesn't involve Shelby Bell's con-game if you dig deep into yourself. If HPEP were to come through it would be a bonus, but don't count on it - Bell has a track record of lying, and God's People tell the truth.

My wish for you is that you stop praying that the impossible con-man's impossible, ridiculous idea will come through, and start praying for God and your inner soul to give you some practical advice that will be do-able for you.

I was completely skeptical when my mom first came to me with this proposal--- send them $25 and make $900 a week. That was back in March. Now here we are in July and he has yet to make good on his deal. I'm a stay at home mom, so for me it would have just been extra money, but my mom lost her job in March. This is her livelihood. She was depending on this money and now she's totally crushed. That's what pisses me off. Yeah, when you think about it $25 isn't much to lose, but when you multiply that by thousands of people, it's sick how anyone could be so lazy That they could just scam people instead of getting an actual job. You WILL burn in hell for what you've done. No, that's not a threat, yes, it is negativity. Karma is gonna get you!

All I say to Mr Shelby Bell, is if as they say, you are not a con man--but a legit business person is "Show me the money" (In my best Cuba Gooding voice) Show me the money Mr Bell. Where is my $10,000 bonus, My Ipad, and my Debit card loaded with my first weeks $900 and all the following weeks??? SHOW ME THE MONEY MR. BELL!!!!!!

You've got to love the Hobo Prince (con man) web page's August 3 update. Essentialy, Mr. Bell incomprehensibly rants that he wants even more people to give him even more money. Because, after all, that's part of the plan. Then he makes veiled threats to anyone who dares -- DARES! -- to "slander" him. And he even grumbles that all this "negativity" about his con is taking too much of a toll on him. It may even make him take all the money he's gotten so far and just give up. Do you feel bad for him, the poor maligned, misunderstood guy?

It seems that Shelby doesn't like to keep people truly informed when it comes to his HPEP, so below are some links that will shed some light on the entire situation. However; I know that this factual information will not convince some of the "true believers".

well, portland's kxl has said a judge ordered ole shelby bell to pay $1,000,000.00 in penalties for his fraud. $20,000 per charge. roughly 7500 people gave him $25.00 and he suprise....spent it. on movies, food, a vehicle etc. Way to go brother! Anya and the kids must be very proud of you!

Hurry up with your next scam so you can pay back the suckers you scammed.

and when you cant, well...how do you like the color orange. JERK! wow, why are you disfellowshipped for the second time? weird..go to vienna so they can have mental health conference with you as their star attraction!

Maybe Shelby Bell lives in some alternate universe where he really was doing exactly what he says his plan was designed to do. Maybe in his mind, his IPI including the book (which looks like it was illustrated by my 5 year old), his magic boat, his movie scripts, etc. really is worth billions, nay, trillions of dollars. Maybe in his mind, he really was working for the good of the American people, by trying to streghten the economy. Maybe, just maybe... Unfortunately, we live in this reality! The reality in which you are a sorry a$$, disgusting human being and a thief! Karma's gonna get you and when it does I'll be sitting back laughing. $1 million dollars is NOT enough for him to be fined, especially since he seems to think his "sweat equity" is worth trillions. You need some serious psychological help!

Sadly enough that thousands are out $25.00 but even more damaging is the hope and the trust that people, me included, placed in this one man. Shattered dreams can wound the spirit but those people who really counted on this so that they could pay rent or mortgage or even eat a decent meal or more disheartening, obtain medical treatment for an ailment if left unattended could turn terminal, those are the people for whom my heart bleeds. What kind of human being could string along the hopeless and the helpless with false promises ? Mr Bell... if you can read this... you may have spent their money (I saw your new motorcycle and trailer) but at least have the courage to tell them that they will receive nothing in exchange for their investment !!! No book, no Ipad, no $900 a week and definitely, no $10,000 bonus ! I ain't mad at cha' ! I took a chance just as if I had purchased a lottery ticket, I lost ! But Mr. Bell thousands of people invested in hope and many used their last to do it ! Do the right thing. Let them off the hook.

when I read his updates.. it's one delay after another and when I went to one of the online video conferences he held, he was evasive as the day is long. He is a screwball and my gut instinct is he isnt paying anyone anything.. he's collecting $25 from as many people as he can so he can live well and buy the latest toys and gadgets. I'm disgusted with this entire thing. If he truly had the money and if he truly wanted to help people he'd have done so by now.

Anonymous said...

Even if it was a scam, and I don't believe it is, if you had any idea what was going on in this world globally, you probably would wet your pants; and give Mr.Shelby a break for trying to do good and help people.

What did you put in, $25. WOW, $25 can make you this nasty. If you didn't know you may be taking a chance, why did you put your $25 in? Get a life!

do YOU still believe this is not a scam??? i "invested" 2 years ago and now the man (and i use that term VERY loosely. COWARD is more like it) is MIA!!! no site, no contact info, vanished! he took our money and ran off and spent it any way he wanted. thing about that is... IT"S HIGHLY ILLEGAL. so i hope he's missing in action because he's behind bars. and i hope someone in jail has made him his bitch, because that's exactly what he turned out to be... a little BITCH

Agreed. Used my last at the time.. and hours of promotions. Plus my word to those I asked to get involved.. All in all It was a great loss in spirit and mind when I found out it could be Ponzi scheme.. But really all in all whats the difference.. Every day we get more of the same with Prosperity plans, and rv blah blah.. basically its a game of waiting and most die while waiting.
