Tax cut for Romney's horse; reduction in food stamp for poor

Wish this was sarcasm!
Mitt Romney was allowed a $77,000 write-off(deduction) on his 2010 income for the upkeep of his horse
The senate defeated a motion to add back the $4.5 billion for the food stamp (SNAP) program by 33-66 thereby effecting a $90/month per family reduction - impacting up to 15% of what a family of four receives
Disgusting! What else can i say about how the Congress, the rich and wealthy see to the fact that their pets and animals are well fed and taken care off on public dole while they lecture the poor on working even harder to put 2 square meals on the table. Do we remember that we live in 21st century America, not 18th century France or 19th century British Empire

I don't mean to sound cynical or unsympathetic, but there is absolutely no connection to Romney's deductions for anything (including a horse) and the senate defeating the food stamp bill, thereby reducing the amount alloted per family. This is just more class warfare and hate speech. What about my deductions? Or your deductions? Are we not entitled to legal deductions because someone else is in need? What a bunch of whine bags we have become... It used to be that people took care of themselves. They were personally responsible. If that failed, they had family. If that failed, there were (and still are) charitable organizations to care for the needy. IT IS NOT THE ROLL OF GOVERNMENT TO CARE FOR THE NEEDY! In fact, if we didn't pay the major portion of our income to the governement in some form of tax, we could take care of our own family members and many others. Wake up, America!!!

Let's not forget there are people who legitimately need these services... perhaps if the cost of healthcare wasn't out of this world, families might be able to take care of their families. My 49 year old brother has been in a nursing home for 7 years as a quad on a respirator with round the clock care after a fall. No family unless you are part of the elites can pay for that kind of service. To be taken care of, the state has taken away everything my brother owned, his home, his car and he can't even have a bank account.

So dig out a little sympathy and compassion for people that really need some support and are not abusing the system.

I don't care if there are wealthy people in this world; but everyone should be taken care of and there is no reason for the poor and middle class who are becoming increasingly poorer because of the greed of a few and the corporations.
