THE WRAN MISSION
WRAN's mission is to aid, assist, and otherwise provide for the successful establishment and continuation of legitimate, locally oriented citizen militia units throughout the United States of America. To this end, WRAM focuses on the needs of both militia units and current and potential unit members by providing communication, leadership, organizational, and educational opportunities. Additionally, WRAM provides multiple venues for public information, expert analysis and opinion of news and events, and crucial interaction between and among militia members and their leaders.
WRAM Transition: Phase 2
The first quarter of 2014 saw the initial WRAM Transition phase that focused on the development and alignment of militia ground units to their respective WRAM groups. I want to thank those unit commanders who assisted us in successfully setting up their groups. As a reminder, if you haven't yet created a group for your unit or still need to filter out non-nonresident members, please drop me a line via WRAM email.
Beginning this month, we have begun Phase 2 of the transition. In this phase we have introduced our new WRAM Resource Center, (still under construction but available for resource download), and will presently begin streamlining WRAM to ensure greater focus on member preparation and militia ground unit operations.
Not coincidently, this effort is happening during a time of "game changing" events such as the call to action in Nevada and the often frantic warnings of impending social and economic collapse. It is clear that hardcore preparation, training, and readiness must take the preemptive lead in our efforts to provide realistic, critical services to American militia units. To that end, the following actions will be taken on a gradual but timely basis:
...Phase out of the "Chat Room"; possible phase out of additional areas as usage dictates; elimination of nonessential "specialty and information groups," and elimination of non-qualifying "militia groups."
Not slated for phase out are essential features that provide for and asset in information sharing and communication, including the Forum, Personal Blogs (at this time), Militia Groups representing local ground units, and specialty/information groups that serve a vital purpose in the WRAM Mission stated above.
Some of these actions will be controversial - I understand that. Please bear in mind, however, that time to prepare is likely running out. The recent events in Nevada signaled what may well be profound changes in America. While some of these changes are clearly positive, others may not be. The "Bundy" event may not be over, and it's very likely federal enforcement efforts will modify and change accordingly. Suffice it to say, any predictability of the future is, at best, vague and dynamic. All of us, both militia and citizens, must re-double our efforts to prepare for unknown events and an unknowable future.
In essence...it's time to get lean and mean, very real, and very focused! The coming WRAM transition is our best effort to do just that as we strive to fulfill the WRAM mission.
