A 4.0 earthquake on one of America’s most dangerous faults could be a prelude to a massive upheaval that could devastate large areas of the heartland.

The United States Geological Survey (USGS) confirmed that a 4.0 quake occurred along the New Madrid Seismic Zone near the Arkansas/Missouri state line just before midnight Wednesday night (April 1).

The New Madrid Seismic Zone was the site of one of the most powerful series of earthquakes in American history, in 1811-1812. The then-sparsely populated region was hit by a 7.5 magnitude quake and a 7.0 aftershock on Dec. 16, 2011. That was followed by a 7.3 earthquake on Jan. 23, 1812, and another 7.5 shakeup on Feb. 7, 1812.

The Mississippi River actually ran backwards for part of 1812, and hundreds of smaller quakes continued well into 1813, according to the USGS. The quakes helped created a massive lake in Tennessee called Reelfoot.

A 2008 report from the US Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) stated that a modern New Madrid earthquake would result in “the highest economic losses due to a natural disaster in the United States” and devastate Alabama, Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri and Tennessee.

Estimates of the damage from such a quake include:

• The death of 4,000 people in Memphis alone. It’s the nearest major city to the quake.
• Thousands of collapsed bridge.
• Damage to 715,000 buildings.
• Two million people left homeless.
• Some 86,000 people injured.

(NOTE:  WAY MORE losses (millions of people dying) than the above has been estimated by numerous scientists, local authorities and certain 'government' agencies, and preparations for that loss have been ongoing, especially in recent months.)


It would disrupt the power and water supply to large areas of the country. To make matters worse, there are nuclear plants throughout the region.

The energy produced by an earthquake is measured using the Richter magnitude scale of one to 10. The most powerful earthquake ever recorded was a 9.5 magnitude quake that hit Chile in 1960. The quake that devastated Japan in 2011 and caused the Fukushima disaster had a magnitude of 8.9.
The higher the number, the more powerful the quake, because each number on the scare indicates the earthquake is 10 times more powerful. Therefore, the initial quake in 1811 was 35 times more powerful than the April 1 tremor.
No damage was reported from Wednesday’s quake, which was centered around Steele, Missouri, but news reports indicate it was felt as far away as Carbondale, Illinois — nearly 100 miles to the north. The quake was also felt in Memphis and Jackson, Tennessee (the latter of which is about 80 miles to the southeast) and DeSoto County in northern Mississippi, according the USGS.

The USGS also confirmed that there was a 2.7 magnitude tremor in Dallas and Irving, Texas, around 5:38 a.m. on April 2, 2015.


Why You Should Be Concerned
Although it is not as well-known as California’s San Andreas Fault, the New Madrid Seismic Zone is considered one of America’s most active and dangerous faults. USGS geologists believe that several earthquakes with a magnitude of between seven and eight have occurred on the fault in the last 4,500 years.
Damage from the December 1811 quake was widespread, destroying chimneys and log cabins 400 miles away in Cincinnati. The quake actually rattled windows and furniture in Washington, D.C., and knocked plaster off of houses in Columbia, South Carolina – the latter of which is more than 600 miles away. Highlights from the 1811 quake reported by the USGS include:

• “The earthquakes caused the ground to rise and fall — bending the trees until their branches intertwined and opening deep cracks in the ground.”
• “Deep seated landslides occurred along the steeper bluffs and hillsides; large areas of land were uplifted permanently; and still larger areas sank and were covered with water that erupted through fissures or craterlets.”
• “Huge waves on the Mississippi River overwhelmed many boats and washed others high onto the shore.”
• “High banks caved and collapsed into the river; sand bars and points of islands gave way; whole islands disappeared.”
• The ground literally collapsed in some areas, the USGS estimates that the ground level in some parts of Tennessee and Arkansas dropped by as much as five meters (roughly five yards) during the quake.
• Giant landslides covered more than 80,000 square miles of land in Missouri, Illinois and Tennessee.

There are several operating nuclear reactors in the region around the New Madrid Earthquake Zone, according to the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission. These include the Callaway Nuclear Power Plant near Fulton, Missouri, the Arkansas Nuclear One near Russellville Arkansas, the Wolf Creek Generating Station near Burlington, Kansas and the Grand Gulf Nuclear Plant near Vicksburg, Mississippi. Illinois alone has 11 nuclear reactors.
It looks as if residents of the Midwest should be as concerned about earthquakes as are people in California.

  Despite being detained in a military prison in Fort Leavenworth, whistleblower Chelsea Manning has now joined social media


While serving her 35-year sentence, Manning will be tweeting under the handle @xychelsea. Since she is denied internet access while incarcerated, Manning’s account will be managed by supporters who will be in contact with her over the phone.

As of Friday afternoon, the account already has nearly 12,000 followers.

"She is committed to having a voice and engaging with the public and will try to be present on twitter as much as she is able to connect with people on the outside," staff attorney Chase Strangio told Politico.


Private Manning was arrested in Iraq in 2010. After a prolonged trial, she was convicted under the Espionage Act for providing government secrets to WikiLeaks, the open-information site founded by Julian Assange.


Among the secrets were classified videos of highly controversial airstrikes in Iraq and Afghanistan. Manning also released thousands of diplomatic and military cable.


The twitter account isn’t Manning’s first attempt at communicating with the outside world since her imprisonment. In February, the Guardian signed her as a contributing opinion columnist, and has also written for the New York Times.
In the handful of tweets already posted, Private Manning has thanked her supporters, and stressed her desire to discuss meaningful issues.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — China’s rating agency Dagong is currently holding talks with economic experts in Russia regarding the creation of a new independent agency, the Russian official said.

After sanctions had been imposed on Moscow by the West over Russia’s alleged role in the internal conflict in Ukraine, the Big Three credit rating agencies — Fitch, Moody’s and Standard & Poor’s – downgraded their rating regarding Russia’s creditworthiness.

“After the recent cases with Big Three rating agencies issuing politicized and biased assessments of the state and development prospects of Russian economy, this issue is of particular relevance,” sous-sherpa Vadim Lukov told journalists, adding that Russia is not the first country to suffer from “rating aggression and rating dumping. '

The Big Three have also published negative outlooks for Mercosur countries for 2015. Mercosur is a sub-regional economic bloc comprising Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay and Venezuela alongside associate countries Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru.

These steps and other questionable actions have prompted criticism from numerous experts and lawmakers worldwide who believe that the proprietary ratings by the three primary western credit rating agencies are largely based on their interpretation of geopolitics and do not reflect reality.

Three people killed by police each day in the United States!

Here’s a sobering statistic.............

  POLICE IN THE UNITED STATES KILLED MORE PEOPLE IN THE MONTH OF MARCH 2015 THAN BRITISH POLICE HAVE IN MORE THAN 100 YEARS!!!!

The number of fatalities involving the police is at more than 100 in the past month — 111 to be exact — which comes to about three people killed by police each day in the United States.


The White House Task Force on 21st Century Policing issued a report last month recommending that the police focus on tactics that would “de-escalate” a situation to make it less likely that someone would end up getting shot and killed.
The report says that excessive and deadly use of force is used way too often, and that further training should be implemented to make sure situations that start out as relatively minor don’t turn deadly, such as the incident where a New York City man accused of illegally selling loose cigarettes died after being placed in a chokehold.


The task force also recommends that the type of training that would be done to diffuse a situation should also pay particular attention to how it is working in communities of color, as those are the ones who come in the most contact with police.


The report suggests that the police need to be more transparent and held accountable when it comes to collecting data on police activity – including both fatal and non-fatal shootings – and that it include more than just shootings, but also stops and arrests, and any other number of encounters between people and the police, and that the data include information on race and gender and disability.


“Policies on use of force,” the task force says, “should also require agencies to collect, maintain, and report data to the federal government on all officer-involved shootings, whether fatal or nonfatal, as well as any in-custody death.”

America Is Literally Falling Apart: 61,000 Bridges in Need of Repair

Did you know the Brooklyn Bridge, one of the most iconic landmarks in the United States, is “structurally deficient?” It’s true, and an analysis of the 2014 U.S. Department of Transportation National Bridge Inventory database shows that about 61,000 bridges—including the Brooklyn Bridge in New York City—are “structurally deficient” and are in need of “significant repair.”

The findings were published on April 1 by the American Road & Transportation Builders Association, a trade association. Last year, the ARTBA found that 63,000 U.S. bridges weren’t up to par, which means about 2,000 or so bridges were repaired since then.  “Cars, trucks and school buses cross the nation’s 61,064 structurally compromised bridges 215 million times every day,” the organization wrote in a news release. “Not surprisingly, the most heavily traveled are on the Interstate Highway System, which carries the bulk of truck traffic and passenger vehicles.”

The report comes just before federal highway and transit funding is set to expire on May 31 unless Congress does something about it, ARTBA said.  “State and local governments are doing the best they can to address these significant challenges, given limited resources,” ARTBA’s chief economist, Dr. Alison Premo Black, said in the news release. “Without additional investment from all levels of government, our infrastructure spending will be a zero-sum game,” she said.


Citing U.S. DOT data, she noted there’s a current backlog of more than $115 billion in bridge work and another $755 billion backlog in highway projects.
“Many of the most heavily traveled bridges are nearly 50 years old. Elected officials can’t just sprinkle fairy dust on America’s bridge problem and wish it away,” Black added. “It will take committed investment by legislators at all levels of government."


The state with the most traveled bridges deemed structurally deficient is California. And in California, Los Angeles had the most.
However, the most traveled bridge with deficiencies is in Columbus, Ohio. After that, the next 30 or so are all located in California.
“The 250 most heavily crossed structurally deficient bridges are on urban interstate highways, particularly in California. Nearly 87 percent of these bridges were built before 1970,” the organization said in the release.
But it isn’t California that has the most structurally deficient bridges, as Pennsylvania and Iowa—ranked first and second, respectively—each have more than 5,000. Next is Oklahoma with 4,200, Missouri with 3,300, Nebraska with 2,600, and California with 2,500.
The Brooklyn Bridge in New York, the Vicksburg Bridge near the border of Louisiana and Mississippi, and the Rainbow Bridge over the Neches River in Texas were listed as structurally deficient.
And, “At least 15 percent of the bridges in eight states—Rhode Island (23 percent), Pennsylvania (22 percent), Iowa (21 percent), South Dakota (20 percent), Oklahoma (18 percent), Nebraska (17 percent), North Dakota (16 percent) and Maine (15 percent)—fall in the structurally deficient category,” the ARTBA added.

As the war against the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL) rages on, the US has stepped up its air campaign, combining destructive bombs with anti-ISIS leaflets.
But while US propaganda efforts are ostensibly aimed at disrupting ISIS recruitment, overall US involvement has yielded mixed results at best.
On the one hand, Washington is engaging in a psychological campaign designed to dissuade potential ISIS fighters from joining up, with leaflets depicting grisly images of young men being sent into a meat grinder. On the other hand however, the US continues to exacerbate the situation in both Iraq and Syria by providing material support, both directly and indirectly, to the very groups whom they claim to be fighting.
While the US seems to be engaged in a psychological war against ISIS, it is equally involved in a systematic campaign of sabotage against those forces that are actually fighting ISIS on the ground. And so, as it often does, Washington is playing both sides of the conflict in order to achieve an outcome to its own political advantage, and to the detriment of Syria, Iran, and other interested parties.


The US psychological war against ISIS
Since the emergence of ISIS on the world stage, much has been made of the organization’s ability to recruit fighters, produce propaganda, and effectively get its message across to the young Muslims around the world. There have been countless news stories of Muslim youths from the West eagerly joining up to fight in far flung war zones like Syria and Iraq, seemingly translating their disaffection with their own lives into an ideological identification with ISIS extremism.
But beneath the surface of such ideological explanations is the fact, publicly acknowledged by many counter-terrorism experts, that ISIS propaganda, coupled with the financial benefits the organization offers, is responsible for some of the allure of joining the fight. And so, the US has launched a full scale psychological war for the “hearts and minds” of these naïve youths and poverty-stricken potential fighters.
The Pentagon confirmed that they had dropped tens of thousands of leaflets on the Syrian city of Raqqa in an attempt to dissuade potential recruits from joining ISIS. While this may seem a relatively harmless exercise in counter-propaganda, the reality is that it is at best a poorly conceived, and at worst utterly disingenuous, attempt to counteract ISIS recruitment. Were the US serious about eradicating the cancer of ISIS in Syria, US military officials would be coordinating with their Syrian counterparts in a comprehensive attempt to destroy the organization. For while the US Air Force drops leaflets, the Syrian Arab Army has been fighting ISIS on the ground for nearly three years, paying a very high price in blood to protect its country from the internationally constituted terror organization.

US military planners understand perfectly that it is the Syrian military, not slick propaganda leaflets, which will carry the day in the war against ISIS in Syria. While perhaps useful for the public relations campaign back home, such leaflets will do little to change the tactical or strategic situation on the ground. The same goes for the recently announced expansion of the Center for Strategic Counterterrorism Communications, the State Department’s attempt at “counter-messaging” ISIS propaganda on social media and in cyberspace generally.

But, while the US presents itself as pursuing a comprehensive psychological war against ISIS, its military and covert actions tell a far different story.


Fighting ISIS by arming them?
The media has been abuzz in recent months with numerous accounts of US weapons and other supplies falling directly into the hands of ISIS, providing the terror group with invaluable material support at a time when it had suffered heavy losses in both Syria and Iraq. As Naeem al-Uboudi, the spokesman for one of the main groups fighting ISIS in Tikrit told the NY Times, “We don’t trust the American-led coalition in combating ISIS… In the past, they have targeted our security forces and dropped aid to ISIS by mistake.”
Indeed, these allegations are supported dozens of accounts of airdropped US weapons being seized by ISIS. As Iraqi MP Majid al-Ghraoui noted in January,

“The information that has reached us in the security and defense committee indicates that an American aircraft dropped a load of weapons and equipment to the ISIS group militants at the area of al-Dour in the province of Salahuddin… This incident is continuously happening and has also occurred in some other regions.”

Whether these incidents are simply honest mistakes by the vaunted US military with all its precision bombing capabilities, or they are indications of a more callous attempt to inflict casualties on all sides and prolong the regional war, either way they represent an abject failure of the US strategy against ISIS. But of course, the US policy failure goes much further than just mistakes on the battlefield. Rather, the entire policy of arming so-called “moderates” in Syria has led directly to the growth of ISIS into a regional power.
Since 2012, the US, primarily through the CIA, has been providing weapons and training to terrorists in Syria under the guise of arming “moderates.” Many of these allegedly moderate groups have in recent months been documented as having either disbanded or defected to ISIS, including the little publicized mass defections of former Free Syrian Army fighters. However it has happened, a vast arsenal of US-supplied weapons and other military hardware are now counted among the ISIS arsenal. So much for the US policy of ensuring the weapons don’t “fall into the wrong hands.”
So, while the US has proclaimed to be fighting ISIS and the al-Qaeda affiliated Nusra Front, they have been simultaneously arming and supporting many of the same forces which now make up much of the rank-and-file of these terror groups. With friends like these, who needs enemies?

Washington: Peace broker or arms dealer?
Those who follow US foreign policy are likely unsurprised by these revelations of Washington providing arms and intensifying an already dangerous conflict. In Syria, the US has consistently argued that the Syrian government cannot be seen as a partner for peace, and so they must provide weapons to “moderates.” In Ukraine, where the US has a compliant and servile government that executes its diktats, Washington still supplies the arms, talking of peace and stability while exacerbating the war and human tragedy in East Ukraine.
Last week, the US House of Representatives overwhelmingly passed (348-48) a resolution to provide military support in the form of weapons to Ukraine. As Rep. Eliot Engel (D-NY), the ranking Democrat on the House Foreign Affairs Committee stated, “The people of Ukraine are not looking for American troops. They are just looking for the weapons to defend themselves. They don’t have those weapons. We do.”
Indeed, it seems that US policy is to pursue “peace” at the barrel of a US-made, US-supplied gun. As Secretary of State John Kerry explained in his usual self-contradictory manner “To get peace, you have to defend your country,” a devilishly cynical statement from the man who, entirely without irony, explained in 2014 that “you don’t just invade another country on a phony pretext in order to assert your interests.” Perhaps, rather than invading countries, the Obama administration has decided to simply provide the weapons, training, and logistical and material support in order to assert its own interests.


While Syria and Iraq face an existential struggle against the wildfire that is the Islamic State, the United States arrives, gas can in hand, to make peace. As Ukraine slides deeper into civil war, the US provides all the ingredients for a witches’ brew of violence and bloodshed.
For all its talk of psychological war against ISIS, Washington has embraced an aggressive, multi-pronged approach that leaves little doubt as to the thinking of its strategic planners: the enemy of my enemy is both friend and enemy. As Tacitus famously said of the Romans, “They make a desert and call it peace.” So, too, do the Americans in the blood-soaked deserts of Syria and Iraq.

In response to the alleged "Martial Law" drills conducted by the Pentagon in Fort Lauderdale Florida (under orders from the Communist in the White House) I responded thus.

I called the Chief of Police in Fort Lauderdale and left a message with questions as to why he allowed US military Black Hawk's to use his town as a military staging area and allow civilians to be rounded up and herded like cattle as if under arrest by the US military. I then called the special operations team in the Fort Lauderdale Police department and spoke to Captain Gillis. He also returned my calls and left me a voice mail passing the buck to Captain Swisher the man in charge of SWAT teams and tactical operations. Captain Gillis phone number is 954-828-5484. Captain Swisher has returned my call and stated the training is for overseas contingencies. His phone number is 954-828-6651. I have voicemail as evidence.

I then called Central Command at MacDill Air Force Base but apparently everyone is too busy to answer the phone they must be invading another city maybe Daytona Beach is next. I then called the Pentagon and left a message at 703-571-3343 press # 5 and told these folks if they choose to use American cities to practice rounding up Americans, I am now deploying 25 retired Navy SEAL, DELTA and Rangers into the Capital to practice "stuff" too. If they can practice we can practice. Lastly I called Governor Scott and let him know what was going on and to remind him of his authority to implement a militia to protect the citizens from a federal Martial Law attempt.

Operation Tyranny Response

25 highly trained retired military special operations folks who have vowed not to shoot on American citizens will go to Washington DC on tourist visa's visiting the formerly Communist controlled Capital building. That is all I will say on that.

Purpose: To gather in celebration of our liberties, agency and stand with God, for our U.S. Constitution, State sovereignty, Property rights and to enjoy access to our lands.

 

Who is Invited: All people who enjoy freedom

 

Activities: Camping, Off Roading, Hiking, Playing in the River, Evening BBQ (Bundy Beef), Shooting- Come camp all weekend if you would like.

 

Stage Activities: Slide/Video Show, Live Band, Cowboy Poetry, Guest Speakers

 

Program: Friday & Saturday Evening; Stage activities and BBQ

Sunday; Testimony meeting, share your feelings for God and county

The Central bank of Iceland has published monetary statistics according to new standards. The total assets of DMBs amounted to 3,079 b.kr at the end of February having increased by 39.2 b.kr or 1.3% during the month. Equity of DMBs amounted to 612 b.kr. at the end of February, having increased by 1.1 b.kr. during the month.

Track Me If You Can: How To Drop Off The .gov's Tracking Radar With A New Identity...

Track Me If You Can is a must-watch for anyone interested in protecting their privacy. He covers some of excellent tips and gives alot of necessary information. Here’s a run down:

There are 30 million plus surveillance cameras on the US, one camera for every ten americans.

The average American is in 200 databases.

Putting a plan in motion to keep you from being tracked is a good idea if you want to devise a new life for yourself

Plan 3 months ahead of time

Right before you leave, change your appearance significantly (if you have hair, shave your head, if you have blond hair, change it to black, get glasses, etc.).

Before you leave, terminate all of your accounts (email, bank accounts, credit cards, etc).

Don’t terminate your social network sites as you can use these sites to provide disinformation.

Before you leave, delete all of your computer files and get rid of your computer’s hard drive (first boil the hard drive then smash it with a hammer and finally run a Degausser/electromagnetic wand over the drive to obliterate all information it may contain).

Get rid of all of your personal items like photos, trophies, mementos, etc. that could tie you to your old life.

Shred all of your personal info and credit cards/bank statements/etc., next take the shredded material and spread it around in a bunch of trash bags and leave the bags at various dumpsters around the city, or burn it.

Get rid of your cell phone as these can be easily used to track your location either through a computer software program or through triangulation.

Wipe all of your info from your cell phone then leave it at a train or bus station so that someone else will pick it up and start using it, thus providing a source of disinformation for those searching for you.

Break your normal patterns (what you eat, where you frequent, how you shop, the kind of work you do, etc).

Ditch your car and find a substitute that is not your personality.

Completely change your lifestyle (ie: if you are currently a corporate lawyer, become a night janitor then dress and behave appropriately).

If you do take your car get rid of the toll pass which can track your movements through the RFID chip in the pass.

Stay away from interstate highways.

Get rid of the GPS device which came with your car. Ditto for the OnStar system which can be activated remotely and allow others to listen in on your conversations.

Make sure your tires don’t have RFID chips in them. Some tires have these chips and they can link to your VIN number and the purchase location of the tires.

Go to non-chain restaurants.

Pay for everything with cash.

When you are out in public disguise yourself (at least wear a hat and sunglasses).

Avoid frequenting your usual places (for example, if you are a vegetarian your meal preference can be found through your prior airline meal request and then you may be easier to locate if you frequent vegetarian restaurants).

Get your food to go from restaurants so you don’t leave DNA on the plates/utensils/glasses which can be read with an easily purchased BPac machine which analyzes your biometrics.

Stay in small motels and pay with cash.

Use alcohol wipes to remove fingerprints.

Use a Multi Sweep Hidden Camera & Bug Detector to check for hidden bugs/cameras/etc.

Cover the peephole so people can’t see into your room.

Sleep in your sleeping bag so you won’t leave DNA behind on the hotel bedding.

Buy a pre-paid cell phone which you only use for outgoing calls (be sure to turn off the caller ID). Replace the pre-paid phone frequently, about every 2 weeks.

When you are not using the cell phone, remove the battery so it can’t be turned on remotely or used to track you.

Be careful when speaking in cars or near windows. The NSA has a bounce laser monitoring system which can pick up sound waves on glass and record what you are saying.

At night you can avoid being seen on cameras that use infrared light by fashioning a cap with LED lights on the front of it which makes a “halo” and shields your face from the cameras.

To determine the best place to resettle, choose a mid-sized city in a not overly cold place. Big cities and small towns are not good places for anonymity.

To change your identity don’t just assume the identity of someone else (this is way more difficult–and illegal–than it used to be), instead petition the court to change your name legally to a new–and common–name.

Apply for a driver’s license under your new name.

Most driver’s licenses and passports have RFID chips in them. Block people from reading these RFID chips by carrying them in a wallet lined with aluminum foil.

To get back online, use a new laptop.

Always use a hard wire to your laptop and turn off the wi-fi which is easily hacked.

Put a cover over your web cam such as a band-aid or electrical tape as these can be turned on remotely like your cell phone.

Install anti-key logger software on your computer.

Also, install software that will reroute your ip address so your location can’t be determined via your computer.

Be aware of the ECHELON program in the US which monitors phone and computer transmissions for keywords and messages.

At the grocery store, change your shopping habits and never use store club cards.

Be aware that nearly all food packaging now contain RFID tags. To be sure these aren’t used for tracking (unlikely now but possibly more likely in the future) repackage food once you purchase it and get rid of the store packaging.

To find work, get a night job that is different that your previous job, such as a janitor. This will limit your contact with people.

Change jobs often.

Create a “back story” for your new identity and practice it. If you base your lies on the truth but change the details a bit, your story will be easier to remember and more believable.

Open a bank account, preferably at a small, local bank.

Be aware of video surveillance cameras which are everywhere.

Never contact people from your past.

The narrator noted that every year, changing your identity gets harder.

The police now consider common activities suspicious such as bird watching, sketching or painting, or taking photographs in public.

There are 70 FUSION centers in the US which coordinate surveillance and other information.

Airlines sometimes use locator chips on your bags so be aware of this. You can also use these tagged bags for disinformation purposes (ie: leaving them in places to throw people off your trail).

Technology is now available to identify you by the way you walk (change the way you walk), your facial measurements and biometrics (use a disguise, and especially sunglasses), and even your response to images.

It will be 7 to 10 years before your old identity drops off of old databases.

Guard against complacency.

The less you interface with technology, the better off you will be.
