Amelia Earhart's Lockheed Model 10 Electra located.

Amelia Earhart's Lockheed Model 10 Electra located.
I have located the plane on Google. Its the most suitable place to land on Nikumaroro Island and it appears she was flying south and landed in the open area north of the plane going north/south. With no power she may have used what speed she had from landing to sharply turn right to get the plane on higher ground in a possible effort to salvage the plane after her rescue that never came. It appears the area due west is the highest elevation of the island. A good clear outline of the plane can be seen as the vegetation would have to grow around the wings and body. The Electra is facing southwest.

If this photo is correct, the Electra is on the left side of the photo on the high ground buried in the vegetation 800 ft away.
