Milk Jugs Into Fences

LETS GO GREEN!!!!

See plastic jugs being transformed into sturdy, attractive
fences that will outlast a wooden fence by many years.

Since plastic does not biodegrade, it's really win- win when
it can be re-manufactured into a product that will stay in
place and be useful for a long time.

I smell a boo-boo. "Milk" jugs DO DISINTEGRATE. In fact, if my gray-matter serves me correctly, there is an additive in milk jugs to cause rapid photosynthesis. Try picking up a milk jug that has been in a brush pile for a couple years; it will break into thousands of pieces. You'll have a hand full of powder. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I agree 100% with Anonymous 12:21. Plastic does disintegrate faster then wood. A wooden fence may have the nails fall out or the boards may eventually crack and break. However a plastic fence as a lot of people have put up is merely decoration. An animal can lean on it and it will pop out of the slot allowing the animal to run freely thru your neighbors flowers! Plus after a few years of being out in the sunlight all the animal needs to do is touch the fence and it wil merely shatter just like the milk jug.
If you want a fence that will last a long time, use metal T posts or better yet, use hedge posts. The only thing that plastic posts might outlast is those cheap treated pine posts that are only good for less then 10 years!!

sorry, you both are mistaken.Listen to it again-where he states an additive is added to the mixture to delete that characteristic of ultraviolet break-down.
