For all of you Mormon haters out there, you can thank the Mormon president Ezra Taft Benson for that quote.

He was secretary of agriculture under Eisenhower and he, Benson, was the one who met with this communist; who boasted that he would bring down America. Benson tried to warn America. But he's a Mormon so nothing he had to say was worth listening to, right? enjoy your socialism you evangelicals. And if there are any of evangelicals that didn't vote for Romney because he is a Mormon, and you think Obama is the lesser of two evils, you deserve what you get.
Um, not an actual quote from Krushchev. Seriously, Google it.

You know what tipped me off, besides the way it was so awkwardly worded (a statesman like Krushchev wouldn't talk like that)? The fact that Socialism and Communism are two totally different things. You can't 'turn' Socialism into Communism or vice versa. And you can't give people 'doses' of either, either. Political and economic models don't work like that.
Either way, just thought readers should know.
Socialism is a base for communism and you can't trust either snopes or urban legends when it comes to something political.
it's true that he may not have said it exactly that way - Benson is recounting the conversation he had with Krushchev and summarizing. Benson's speech is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=SI_aw1A_ssg
