Outgoing Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki on Thursday that Iraq was
living in isolation from the outside world and has faced a new wave of
terrorism, stressing that Iraq regained its regional role and
international.
Al-Maliki said in a televised address for him, attended by Prime
Minister Haidar Al-Abbadi and members of the State of law Coalition,
said "Iraq was living in isolation and cut off from the world when
appointed in 2006", stressing that "Iraq today could bring regional
and international role".
Al-Maliki said that Iraq faced "a new wave of terrorism in early
2012," adding that "we have launched initiatives and made a
qualitative leap in all areas by firing rounds of licences for oil and
gas for the first time in the history of Iraq."
And outgoing Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, on Thursday evening, the
Prime Minister waives in favour of Prime Minister Haidar Al-Abbadi, as
announced on the waiver of the claim against the President of the
Republic, Fouad Massoum.
