'Hit earth',... nah, most likely not.(can someone steer it to D.C.?) BUT,... 9,000 to 11'000 miles close to earth puts it waaay inside the band of satelites which are around 22,000 miles. Like Earthwatch says,... heads-up. Wonder if there will be a 'debris field'?
