GOP Obamacare Repeal would END more than $1 TRILLION in Taxes

Obamacare is a monstrosity that handed CONTROL of one of America’s largest and most important industries (healthcare) to the federal government.

 

Obamacare is anti-freedom, will drive healthcare costs higher, eliminate competition, eliminate jobs, and make America less prosperous. Killing it has always been a good idea.

Sadly, thus far the GOP has been unable to present a good repeal and replace plan to present to the American people. Many of us have argued that the GOP should forget about a replacement, and instead focus simply on repealing the leviathan of a law. A straight repeal, followed by smaller bills that answer some of the tougher healthcare problems would have been the best (most intelligent) way to reform our healthcare industry.

While the just passed AHCA House bill is far from perfect, it most certainly offers a massive improvement over the Obamacare law. However, it’s strength isn’t what it offers… it’s what it strips away from Obamacare. The AHCA bill eliminated over $1 TRILLION in taxes!

From Americans for Tax Reform:

-Abolishes the Obamacare Individual Mandate Tax which hits 8 million Americans each year.

-Abolishes the Obamacare Employer Mandate Tax. Together with repeal of the Individual Mandate Tax repeal this is a $270 billion tax cut.

-Abolishes Obamacare’s Medicine Cabinet Tax which hits 20 million Americans with Health Savings Accounts and 30 million Americans with Flexible Spending Accounts. This is a $6 billion tax cut.

-Abolishes Obamacare’s Flexible Spending Account tax on 30 million Americans. This is a $20 billion tax cut.

-Abolishes Obamacare’s Chronic Care Tax on 10 million Americans with high out of pocket medical expenses. This is a $126 billion tax cut.

-Abolishes Obamacare’s HSA withdrawal tax. This is a $100 million tax cut.

-Abolishes Obamacare’s 10% excise tax on small businesses with indoor tanning services. This is a $600 million tax cut.

-Abolishes the Obamacare health insurance tax. This is a $145 billion tax cut.

-Abolishes the Obamacare 3.8% surtax on investment income. This is a $172 billion tax cut.

-Abolishes the Obamacare medical device tax. This is a $20 billion tax cut.

-Abolishes the Obamacare tax on prescription medicine. This is a $28 billion tax cut.

-Abolishes the Obamacare tax on retiree prescription drug coverage. This is a $2 billion tax cut.
 
This is the single best reason to support the imperfect GOP bill that just passed the House.

Call your Senators and tell them they better vote to support the House Bill or you, the American voter, will make sure that they suffer the consequences of their inaction.

We are America, we hate Obamacare, and we will vote for (or against) politicians depending on how they handle Obamacare repeal.
