DON'T LIKE OBAMA? HERE'S WHY ...

“There’s no doubt that there’s some folks who just really dislike me because they don’t like the idea of a black president.”
– Barack Obama in New Yorker interview
Here we go, again.
With Barack Obama’s popularity plummeting in the polls, it was only a matter of time before he played the race card – as he has been doing throughout his public life.
This is a guy who twice, for better or worse, was elected president of the United States.
He’s still doing it.
If you don’t like him, you must be a racist. You must just not like the idea of a black president.
It can’t possibly have anything to do with the following:
  • He repeatedly lied frequently, easily, unflinchingly about his signature piece of legislation, Obamacare – proclaiming that Americans would pay less for health insurance, would keep their doctor and could keep their plans.
  • He and his entire administration lied about Benghazi – blaming the unnecessary deaths of four Americans on a YouTube video instead of their own incompetence or negligence.
  • He oversaw the worst political abuse of the Internal Revenue Service in the history of the agency – and is now setting out to change IRS regulations to make the harassment of political adversaries the official policy of the future.
  • The economy is in shambles with more than 90 million Americans out of work.
Of course it doesn’t have anything to do with that.
In his interview with the New Yorker, Obama revealed he is more than a liar and a crook and an incompetent. It turns out he’s delusional.
What do I mean?
Listen to what Obama thinks are his first-term accomplishments:
  • the economic rescue;
  • 44 straight months of job growth;
  • a reduction in carbon emissions;
  • a spike in clean-energy technology;
What does he mean by “economic rescue”? We’re mired in five years of economic decline and a malaise that would make Jimmy Carter flinch. Economic rescue? How about economic arson?
What does 44 straight months of job growth mean? Most people would assume that would mean more people are working, right? But that’s not true. In fact, there hasn’t been one day during the entire Obama presidency when as many Americans were working as on the day George W. Bush left office – which, by the way, was amid an economic crisis.
A reduction in carbon emissions? Naturally. With less industry, fewer people working, energy prices skyrocketing, I suppose the benefit of all this misery would be a reduction in carbon emissions. Does it make you feel better about higher prices and less money to spend?
A spike in clean-energy technology? Yes, it’s true that Obama awarded major government grants to fat-cat campaign contributors who wanted taxpayer money to start-up companies like Solyndra. We remember. Any day now those companies might actually produce something.
This is the best Obama can do. This is his track record.
Glaringly absent from the list was “Obamacare.”
Even he can’t bring himself to call that an achievement.
Where is the press to point all this out?
Where are the watchdogs?
Where was New Yorker contributor David Remnick to serve as the truth’s advocate?
They were AWOL – as usual.
However, there is some truth revealed in the interview.
Obama all but admits he lied in 2008 as a presidential candidate when he said he believed marriage was an institution between one man and one woman.
As Remnick tells the story, it’s not really true that Obama’s view of same-sex marriage was in transition during his time in the presidency.
“Obama conceded in one of our later conversations only that it’s ‘fair to say that I may have come to that realization slightly before I actually made the announcement’ favoring gay marriage, in May of 2012. ‘But this was not a situation where I kind of did a wink and a nod and a 180-degree turn.’”
Obama said he had one “official” position for public consumption and another that he considered more advanced.
“And he held the ‘evolved’ position in 1996, when, as a candidate for the Illinois state senate, he filled out a questionnaire from Outlines, a local gay and lesbian newspaper, saying, ‘I favor legalizing same-sex marriages,’” Remnick writes.
Is Obama even capable of communication without deceit?

Any person worth their salt will change positions when statistics and his constituency prove that it should be done another way. The problem lies with those who, after being shown that their beliefs are faulty, still doggedly pursue the same rhetoric. It is natural law to change. Nothing stays the same, even in nature. Most conservatives want our country to be like it was in the 1950's, when high decisions and money-making skills were the exclusive property of middle age white men. Their women were wives that stayed at home like Mrs. Cleaver, and John Wayne played "Big Bad John" at the local movie house. Well, that America has been demolished by the very upper-class oligarchs that this country put faith in. Greed for more, started even before JFK appeared on the scene, and every Republican President since then has furthered the "kill the Middle class" agenda. Nixon froze wages and caused catastrophic inflation, lied to the world about a non-existent oil shortage in the Middle East, got caught for it and many other impeachable stuff, and was forced out of office. Only it was too late and the damage was done. Ronald Reagan was a paid actor from Hollywood. His economic agenda was to give the plutocrats all the tax breaks and regulatory changes they wanted and they would make sure that their huge profits would "trickle" down to the average worker. We are still waiting for that horse to come in. I'm not holding my breath because he died on the backstretch, just like it was planned. Bush Sr. engineered the NAFTA pact, and opened the borders to let foreign trade under cut the American worker. Jobs and companies began to trickle to places like Mexico, China and Viet Nam. Mexicans and Central Americans began to flood the country and work for pennies on the dollar. wages that the American worker could not support his family on. The woman had to go to work to make ends meet. The job market was further saturated. Bush Jr. comes along and leaves the country with no housing market, a devastating recession, a non-existent middle-class, 2 illegal wars for greed, and a bankrupt economy. Now, this guy wants the first black President, ever, to fix in 5 years, what it took the Republicans almost 50 years to complete. Come next election, the people will speak up at the voting box and the common, everyday person will set things back right again. The big money boys and their minions will be going the way of the dinosaur. Extinction, or change to what is acceptable for NOW.. Obama is just a smart guy that molds his agenda to fit the will of the majority. That's the way it's supposed to work isn't it? He works for the folks who voted him into office. The Republicans should try it on for size. They might be able to keep their seats without redistricting, gerrymandering, and voter suppression.
