Because of my age group, I have seen the effects of agent
orange from the returning vets of the Viet Nam era (and it is not pretty and
very painful). It is not something that we want to see promoted.
All your hand sanitizers & and antibacterial soaps have agent orange in
them...yep, this is just another one of the most dumbest things the USDA is
doing. Please take the time to read so that you can protect yourself and
your families...Laurel

Hi
Laurel,
Could this be the dumbest thing the USDA has ever done? Dow Chemical company has engineered corn and soy that can withstand massive doses of the toxic herbicide 2,4-D. This is the very same herbicide that, along with its cousin 2,4,5-T, is known as Agent Orange, the chemical warfare agent that has been linked to a million birth defects in Vietnam. |

Now
they want approval to spray massive quantities of this herbicide on your
food. And so far, the USDA is on their side.
How could this happen? What’s at stake for you? And what can you do about it? Get the whole story here. The Obama Administration is calling for the approval of 2,4-D resistant crops as a way to fight the next stage of the battle against weeds. Now that superweeds have developed resistance to Monsanto’s herbicide, Roundup, the pesticide arms race has taken a new and potentially deadly turn. 2,4-D is associated with increased rates of deadly immune system cancers, Parkinson’s disease, endocrine disruption, birth defects, and many other serious kinds of illness and reproductive problems. Fortunately, now is a crucial time for you to make a huge difference. The government sponsored comment period has begun, and a massive outpouring of comments can help to stop this travesty. Find out what’s at stake, and what you can do about it, in my dad’s new blog post, here. |

Contact the Center For Food Safety and sign any petition they have against this. They have been fighting this for years.
