New video shows more of Sandra Bland's time in Texas jail
HEMPSTEAD,
Texas (AP) — Texas authorities released additional footage from Sandra
Bland's three days in jail, saying they wanted to dispel rumors that she
was dead before arriving.
Waller
County Judge Trey Duhon said Tuesday that such conspiracy theories —
including one that Bland's mug shot was taken after her death — have
prompted death threats against county officials. "Because of some of the
things that's gone out on social media, this county has been literally
attacked," he said at a news conference, adding that the FBI is
investigating the most serious threats."Sandra Bland was alive and well" until she was found hanging on July 13 in her cell at the Waller County Jail, Duhon said. Authorities have ruled that Bland's death, three days after her arrest during a confrontational traffic stop, was a suicide.
Authorities have said Bland, a black 28-year-old from suburban Chicago, hanged herself with a garbage bag, a finding that her family has questioned, saying she was happy. She was in custody for allegedly assaulting the white state trooper who pulled her over for an improper lane change.
Her sister, Sharon Cooper, did not return a call from The Associated Press seeking comment Tuesday. The death has garnered national attention amid increased scrutiny of police treatment of blacks in the wake of several high-profile police-involved deaths. In Chicago, more than 100 people gathered downtown Tuesday night for a vigil and protest.
The amount of THC, one of the active components of marijuana, in Bland's system was 18 micrograms per liter, according to the report. That's more than three times the legal limit for drivers in Colorado and Washington, states that permit the recreational use of marijuana.
Capt. Brian Cantrell of the Waller County Sheriff's Office said Tuesday that he doesn't know if she could have used marijuana in the jail. He said there's no recent history of drug seizures there but noted things get smuggled into jails everywhere.
A
committee of outside attorneys will assist Waller County District
Attorney Elton Mathis in investigating Bland's death. "I don't know if
we'll ever get an answer to all the questions," said attorney Lewis
White of Sugar Land, one of the committee members. "But our job is to
get answers. There are going to be answers some people don't like."
The Texas Rangers and the FBI are investigating the case.
Associated Press writer Jamie Stengle contributed to this report from Dallas.

Jade Helm! Take them awayyyyyyyyyyyyyy!
The owners of the jails and prisons, and the people who work in their administration, and the heads of the systems of control, and all the police who do these chicken-crap stops pulling people into commerce for going from point A to point B.
Texas Drivers Handbook used to have a single line - BEFORE it got into the driving code that would state
Texans has the right to travel on texas highways in their private property or farm equipment.
conveniently it was removed and older books cannot be found to show it was known.
Rule of Law Radio sometime last year went into the transportation code and found that only certain people by legislative act were 'authorized' to enforce the code and a freedom of information request showed something like on 65 people were authorized and that did not include city or municipal police.
Transportation code enforcement was delegated to state troopers and not all of them were authorized by some official documented authorization - I don't have the details, and would have to listen to a lot of Rule of Law radio episodes for 2014 sometime after June to get to it.
Also Rule of Law radio had proven that municipal courts jurisdiction was limited and they should not have been hearing traffic cases, that there was not a verified compliant on file when people are tried for misdemeanors, that there was no examining trail by a magistrate to determine if the one 'kidnapped' under color of law should be held, and that the prosecutor was so aggressive he would go after the highest penalty that a jury would convict that there was a 98% conviction rate with most people pleading guilty to not have to be charged with an excessive penalty for going to trail.
Texas jurors will convict a ham sandwich for being a ham sandwich if a prosecutor presented anything against it having any right to be a ham sandwich. Texas jurors never read the code, and are not the peers of the people who have read the code and are charged by the over zealous prosecutor and judges.
Judges and lawyers can access the ss accounts and will grab your grandma or grandpa if they can and throw them in jail to get into that soc sec account to pilfer assets.
JADE HELM called Texas hostile. I believe it, and hope there is a shackle and guillotine for all those people in positions of trust who have violated the life and liberty of the people they swore an oath to protect and serve [not themselves]
Texas even had to be sued for money from the mortgage settlement. They got paid, but none of it trickled down to the people who were robbed of their home. Where it should not settle the claim of theft of property violating Texas laws for trust, contract, and other, but could compensate for the personal injury the people suffered without settling the claim from future remedy.
These people are US Citizens, and they have caused a lot of harm and injury and our military had best be able to take orders to remove them and if necessarily fire on them to take them into custody, especially those wearing the keystone cop badges and shooting people for not wearing a seatbelt or not having a front license plate, or not having a drivers license or some other nonsense.
JADE HELM, conquer that anti-human-domain and take them awayyyyyyyyyyyyy!
