Huh? There is NO way an 83 year old man could have been a WWII pilot! He would have been born in 1932, which means that on Dec. 7, 1941 when the war was declared, he was 9 years old and if the war ended in '45 or '46, he would have been in his mid teens. Ever hear of a 14 or 15 year old pilot???
How 'bout,...2005 minus 83= 1922 (born) Add 22 years to that and get 1944. The film was shown to him in 2005,... when he was 83.
According to the documentary he died in 2005 at age 91 meaning he was born in 1914. In 1941 he would have been 27.
