Health - Allergies Be Gone

Hi John

I ran a race in the rain and 40 degrees this weekend called the "Shamrock Run." It's a short course--just 4 miles--but for someone who usually "treadmills it" until it's at least 50 degrees out, it was a stretch for me!

There's still snow on the ground, but I could definitely see signs of spring.

That made me think back to the days when I suffered with allergies. Back then an early morning spring run would have me sniffling and sneezing for hours.

But not any more...

Seasonal allergies are more than just a nuisance -- they can put a damper on activities, cause you to lose sleep, affect your attendance at work and school and impair your quality of life.

While allergy drugs might temporarily ease the symptoms, the real root cause of the allergy -- your body's reaction to what it perceives as a threat -- remains untouched.

You still have allergies.

Plus, like all drugs, allergy drugs come with their list of side effects too:

One of the side effects of decongestants is an eventual INCREASE in nasal congestion -- so they worsen the very thing they're supposed to help.

Did you know that?

It's true. Google it.

And antihistamines cause sleepiness, stomach upset or pain, headaches, rapid heartbeat and a dry mouth. So your nose may be clear for a little while, but you end up sleeping at your desk or flying to the bathroom 10 times a day.

But there is great news for allergy sufferers I bet you didn't know...

Probiotics help with allergies.

And, bonus...no side effects!

Here's why -- I'll give an example using pollen, but this applies to any allergen:

Your body has a system of enzymes that digest pollen using a 2-step process.

First, when you breathe in the pollen, enzymes break down the protein molecules in the pollen into little things called peptides.

Next, secondary enzymes digest these peptides and turn them into amino acids. Once they've been turned into amino acids, your body can deal with them and there's no risk of an allergic reaction.

This efficient process can only run properly if you have enough of the right kinds of enzymes, though. If you don't, then you end up with allergies -- which simply means that you lack sufficient production of enzymes to break down and transform the allergen into benign (harmless) amino acids.

Make sense?

Now, the great news is probiotics can help -- they actually help your body to manufacture enzymes to help give you a fighting chance against allergens.

Clinical studies show that the probiotic strain Lactobacillus rhamnosus has been particularly helpful for people with both seasonal and food allergies.

In one double-blind long-term study, a probiotic mixture including L. rhamnosus was given to 1,223 pregnant women 2-4 weeks before they delivered. Once the babies were born, they were also given the probiotics for 6 months.

The children who received the probiotics before and after birth were 34% less likely to develop eczema and other allergic disorders.

Another study done by Finnish scientists showed significant reductions in milk allergies by subjects who were given L. rhamnosus.

That's why we include Lactobacillus rhamnosus in Super Shield probiotic formula, along with 12 other superstar strains.

Over 50 million people (1 in every 6) in the US alone suffer from allergies, and those numbers continue to grow.

Clearly the current treatment options aren't "cutting it" and more people suffer each year, with allergies and with the side effects of the drugs they take for them.

So my suggestion is to help your body naturally by giving it a boost of the good bacteria that it needs so it can make enough enzymes to fight allergens (that aren't enemies at all).

My allergies completely disappeared over 19 years ago, never to return, and taking probiotics every day was a big reason why.

Why not see what a potent, high-quality, medical grade probiotic can do for you?

To your health,

Sherry Brescia

PS: When taken at off-meal times, digestive enzyme supplements play a therapeutic role in your body, helping your natural enzyme supply from head to toe. This is especially important for allergy sufferers, since they likely are short on the enzymes needed to break down their "offending" allergen (pollen, cat dander, etc.). This is yet another reason we developed Digestizol Max.

Get it here.

Even though most people take digestive enzyme supplements to help digest food, they also play an important role in beefing up ALL of your enzyme activity -- and that includes your body's metabolism of whatever you're allergic to.

See how supplementing with digestive enzymes can enhance your overall health and reduce allergy symptoms naturally. Try Digestizol Max today:
