David Barton has come
out with a list explaining why Barack Obama is possibly the most biblically
hostile President of all time. While most of these stories have been seen
before, seeing them all laid out in one list is pretty astonishing. See the
whole list with footnotes at wallbuilders.com
1. Acts of hostility toward people of Biblical
faith:

2008 – Obama speaks disrespectfully of Christians, saying they
“cling to guns or religion” and have an “antipathy to people who aren’t like
them.”
·
February
2009 – Obama announces plans to revoke conscience protection for
health workers who refuse to participate in medical activities that go against
their beliefs, and fully implements the plan in February 2011.
·
April
2009 – When speaking at Georgetown University, Obama orders that
a monogram symbolizing Jesus’ name be covered when he is making his speech.

Creator” when quoting the Declaration of Independence – an omission he has made
on no less than seven occasions.

in the Mojave Desert to private ownership, the U. S. Supreme Court ruled that
the cross in the memorial could continue to stand, but the Obama administration
refused to allow the land to be transferred as required by law, and refused to
allow the cross to be re-erected as ordered by the Court.
·
February
2011 – Although he filled posts in the State Department, for more
than two years Obama did not fill the post of religious freedom ambassador, an
official that works against religious persecution across the world; he filled
it only after heavy pressure from the public and from Congress.
·
April
2011 – For the first time in American history, Obama urges
passage of a non-discrimination law that does not contain hiring protections
for religious groups, forcing religious organizations to hire according to
federal mandates without regard to the dictates of their own faith, thus
eliminating conscience protection in hiring.
·
August
2011 – The Obama administration releases its new health care
rules that override religious conscience protections for medical workers in the
areas of abortion and contraception.
·

2011 – Obama opposes inclusion of President Franklin Roosevelt’s
famous D-Day Prayer in the WWII Memorial.

religious references in his Thanksgiving speech.

rabbis.

exchange for public service, but announces it will no longer forgive student
loans if the public service is related to religion.

toward people of Biblical faith:
·
June
2011 – The Department of Veterans Affairs forbids references to
God and Jesus during burial ceremonies at Houston National Cemetery.
·
August
2011 – The Air Force stops teaching the Just War theory to
officers in California because the course is taught by chaplains and is based
on a philosophy introduced by St. Augustine in the third century AD – a theory
long taught by civilized nations across the world (except America).

star Army general and decorated war hero Lieutenant General William G.
(“Jerry”) Boykin (retired) from speaking at an event because he is an outspoken
Christian.

Capabilities Office (the word on the patch was in Latin: Dei).
·

parishioners that their archbishop asked them to read

Actually, President Obama is upholding the Constitution, which forbids mixing government and religion, so, instead of harranging him over these things, he should be fully supported. Remember, it was not until the '50s, during Joseph McCarthy's Red Scare that all of these changes to our money and the Pledge of Allegiance were changed, unconstitutionally, to include God in them. This site is really big on Constitutionalism, however, you seem to be extremely selective of what parts you uphold or not.
In the 'guns and religion' thing, you selectively cut out major portions of that speech, where he talks about those people being so disenfrachised by successive governments, especially in the Red States, that all they have left to cling to is their Guns and Religion since they have been screwed over so many times, and went on to talk about how to reach out to and help those people...it was NOT writing them off, like Romney plainly did with his 47% statement. On the revoking of conscience protections, it was in specific about Pharmacists who wold not dispense certain medications, even though the person had the prescription from their doctor: if those pharmacists have such objections then they either need to find a different line of work or get over it and fill the orders. Ideology is one thing, depriving an individual of needed items or medications based on one's ideologies should be a disqualifier for that job.
Hosting a National Prayer Day, although it was established by law, is an unconstitutional law to begin with, as it is a law concerning religion, thus, under the First Amendment, plainly unconstitutional.
It is the President's choice on who he sends as Ambassadors anywhere, that the Vatican did not like it is THEIR problem, not President Obama's.
Overall, it is NOT the President's duty or job to promote the Bible, in fact, by the Constitution, he is forbidden to, so all of these actions that you allude to have NO bearing on his job. All it shows is the author's religious intolerance to anything non-christian and is, in fact, religious bigotry, and I applaud the President for his actions concerning them.
Bigotry, whether religious, racial, cultural or whatever, has NO place in the duties of The President of The United States, and, since he is doing his DUTY of UPHOLDING the 1st Amendment of the Constitution on all of them, he should be applauded, rather than castigated.
America is NOT a 'Christian Nation', it is a Secular nation meaning that religion is to be completely separate from Government, which is what the 1st Amendment clearly puts forth. This has been upheld by various Supreme Court cases. You do not have to like it, but President Obama has been correct in ALL of these cases. The US is NOT based on the Bible, the Founding Fathers saw what damage any nation caused by being beholden to any religion:modern cases in point, Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Israel. All of them have major problems caused directly because of the mixture of Religion and Government
