Militant Christianity

Matthew 16:18 . . .  my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

I am as perplexed as Alice in Wonderland.

Where is the militant church?

We sing, “Onward Christians Soldiers,” but where are they? Has modern Christianity lost its knock out punch?  Have Christians retired from the boxing ring? The conviction and courage of the average Christian appears as dead as a battery. 

The Bible is full of terms like “war, battle, swords, blood, fight, killed, be of good courage, and teach my hands to war.” But, in listening to the posh pastors of  our day, you get the idea that Christianity is all about “hurts and wounds,” “healing the inner child,” and dishing out Heart-to-Heart, Mango Peach, Passion Peck Cereals to wheelchair Christians. Christ called his church the “salt of the earth,” not cinnamon honey grahams.” It’s time for the church to stop eating “Tangy Tangerines” and “Sugar Frosted Fruit Loops,” and start eating Iron Man Wheaties from Scripture.  

Our text above shows us a militant church attacking the gates of hell, not the gates of hell swarming the church! The church that “turned the world upside down,” taught that Jesus was the King of kings and that emperors and Caesars needed to surrender to His authority (Acts 17:1-7). 

Christians need to get off the defensive, and go on the offensive; to stop apologizing for Christianity, and start attacking paganism. 

-to return to the Word of God, and reject the word of man; 

-to cling to the old rugged cross, and to abandon the new smooth cross;

-to study the gospel of the grace of God, and abandon the perversion of “Name It and Claim It.” 

-to know that Christianity is the ONLY provable, verifiable religion in the world, and to forsake the notion that all religions are basically the same. 

-to preach the narrow way, instead of preaching “the broad way.”

-to proclaim Christ as the King of the Nations, and stop announcing all this nonsense that Christians need to obey the government regardless of its character. 

-to stop submitting to godless, secular governments and demand civil rulers surrender to the Lord Jesus Christ. 

-to revive rugged, manly Christianity and abandon estrogen-stressed Christianity. 

We are fighting battles on every front. Madmen are in control of government; Rothchild bankers own the Federal Reserve; Jews energize Hollywood and the porn industry; Zionist run the shadow government; feminists have declared war on the womb; Sodomites want to indoctrinate our children into the Queer Cults; “Christian” marriages have as many divorces as pagan marriages. God’s white sheep have become dirty gray; and, therefore, the black sheep feel more comfortable. When there is a cloud in the pulpit, there will be a fog in the pew; and, when America ceases to be the home of the brave, it ceases to be the land of the free. 

We lost the culture intellectually; that is, Christians doubted the authority of the resurrected Christ, and believed the propaganda spewing out of liberal news outlets. Lies replaced truth; bad ideas inched past good ideas; the commandments of men overshadowed the Commandments of God; vocal revolutionaries had more impact on the culture than silent Christians; and bad men did much while good men did nothing.  

It is time for militant Christianity to rise from the grave, and for the Black Robed Regiment to kick the sugar-slap pastors out of the pulpit. It is time for God’s flock to mature into God’s Attack Lambs and to chew on Captain Crunch, Organic Green Barley, High Fiber Nuggets from God’s Word. It is time to band together, to form an army of God’s Green Beret and confront the wolves howling and belching from the Gates of Hell. 

Christianity is not for cowards. Believers must take up the splintery cross and follow Christ. True Christianity is militant and  ready for war! It is not dead, but it needs to be revived among Bible-believing congregations!

Psalm 149:6 Let the high praises of God be in their throats and two-edged swords in their hands,

God calls us to be strong and true, steel and velvet, gentle and rugged, loving and hateful, lawful but gracious, lean and mean militant Christians.
